Products themselves are great value but have yet to have them fitted......delivery was prompt but my very elderly parents were left perplexed when the lads who delivered the goods refused to bring them inside! Luckily they have family close by who got this sorted quickly. However, this would have been very awkward were they not so local..
Ordered a shower screen from Aica after having bought one before from another seller and 'googling' to find out who stocked them. Very pleased to find it was only £83 delivered. Even more pleased to find it delivered only 2 days later by a really friendly delivery driver who even called half an hr before he reached us. Fitted the door and found it great quality for the price. Wont hesitate in ordering from them again.
Phone call to say that my shower screen would be delivered sometime on Sunday. I was out all day Saturday and came home to find a pile of broken glass outside my front door. Annoyed that there was no indication that the screen would be delivered a day early and the shattered glass was not cleared up. Placed the order 7 days ago and still waiting for my delivery!
Delivery was fast and the price was excellent. However. The instructions sent were in German but the pictures were generic. Awful picture sequence and part identification. Very much a trial and error guessing construction experience. Like assembling an Ikea flat pack!!! Took more time than necessary due to inadequate instructions. BUT...once assembled it looks and works great. Well worth the extra time for the trade off in cost against a similar much more expensive shower door elsewhere. Also although I was very careful and gave the delivery address as different to my billing address it arrived next day at my billing address whilst I was waiting at the delivery address...100 miles away. This meant I had to struggle to get it up to my new house. But I did. Would I order from them again? Definitely. The positives far outweigh the negatives.
was a bit dubious as compared to other places this was less than half the price for a pentagonal frameless enclosure complete with cast resin tray. what can I say, really quick delivery, great value for money, installed and working just fine. In my favorites list for next time !!
I write this review while still waiting to receive a non-faulty shower tray. Tempted by the prices hundreds of pounds cheaper than elsewhere for the same shower enclosure we decided to go direct to Aica. The first 1000 x 700 tray was so warped that it wouldn't lie flat, a replacement (still not perfect but acceptable) was despatched quickly so we decided to give Aica another try for our second shower. The first 1000 x 800 tray had a bulge like an egg in it, the replacement had a poorly repaired split in the side. I'm now waiting for another one. My plumbers are losing patience and I expect to pay the savings I made in using Aica on their wasted time. The customer services staff have been very helpful and replacements provided quickly but I would probably not use Aica again.
Great service , good price that's what it is all about. However when I took the protective bubble rap off there was a hair line crack on the edge of the tray . This will be put to the wall so not seen . If I had more time I might have returned it , but it's my choice not to. There wasn't a waste kit for the tray maybe something you might want to include in the future. Very pleased .
First the positives: I ordered a glass shower enclosure and everything arrived when expected but one of the glass walls was chipped in transit. I contacted Aica and they arranged a replacement which also arrived on time and in good condition. Now the problems: unfortunately the plumber I used was a nightmare (whole other story) and he damaged several pieces so I tried to get replacements for five parts from Aica. The first thing to say about their after-sales service is that their telephone lines are infuriating to get through - you make a selection on an automated line but if the phone isn't answered within 90 seconds then you get stuck in a message loop asking you to press the extension number again and never get answered. On average it takes 6 attempts before you get through to an actual person (obviously being charged every time because you are getting connected to their automated service). When I did manage to speak to the after-sales team I explained exactly which parts I needed replacing however they were not familiar with their own products. It took some time but they assured me they understood which parts to send out and we agreed a price of £35. When the package arrived of the five pieces I needed one was damaged, two were the wrong size or shape, and two were missing altogether. This obviously required negotiating Aica's phone lines again. They didn't appreciate what was wrong because they still didn't understand what parts I was talking about (despite having my order information available on their system showing precisely what product I had purchased). They stated that the instruction booklet they had in front of them seemed to be different to the one sent out to me. In the end out of frustration I jokingly suggested ringing the desired parts on the contents page in red pen and sending them photos in an email - they asked me to do just that! Despite telling me that they would progress this request asap and update me by phone in due course I never heard back from them and always had to chase them up (again requiring numerous calls to get through). When I did speak to someone they assured me that they had now got the right parts sorted and they would be with me the following day. I waited in all day for the next two working days (actually three days because it was over Sat to Mon) without anything turning up. When I rang again on Mon afternoon I was told that in fact nothing had been sent out at all because they were still awaiting arrival from the manufacturers for - get this - a part I had never needed! It had never been mentioned on any of our conversations and was not ringed in red on the photos I sent. I would have to wait another day because the courier had already left for that afternoon. This second attempt turned up with, sure enough, two pieces that were not required, but at least two more which I did need were now correct. Unfortunately, two of the original parts which were the wrong size were sent out exactly the same again so still the wrong size. This time when I phoned Aica back I demanded to speak to a manager having lost all faith in the after-sales team’s ability to resolve this problem themselves. I was told that the manager was not in that day and that there was no supervisor in the room whatsoever. I was told that the manager would ring me back the following day – no surprises; I received no call. Once I managed to get through myself, I was connected to the manager and to her credit she was immediately more competent than everyone I had dealt with so far. Even though she had been given no details of my problem by her colleagues (belying the promise that the manager would phone me back), she understood straight away what I was talking about and apologised for the problems experienced. She assured me that she would personally send out the replacement pieces I still required and refund me the £35 paid. She also offered her own mobile number so I could liaise with her directly from that point on. The parts did turn up when expected but were badly damaged at one end as if they had been dropped by the courier. Thankfully, this only took a brief couple of messages to the manager’s mobile to resolve and finally, on the fourth delivery, I received the last pieces needed to complete the shower enclosure in the correct size and working condition, two full weeks after making my first request for the replacements. In summary then, Aica Bathrooms do have good quality products at very reasonable prices, but if you do purchase from them just pray that everything works right in the first place because if you have to deal with their customer services you will soon find your patience running out fast!
1st shower cabicle ordered, had trouble with PayPal and phone, completed order when home , but was out of stock what I wanted, started again, with another order, came a week later,had to be delivered to neighbour as wasn't in, but not at all happy, scratches on chrome, dust and it was like watermarks on chrome, and after cleaning a small section marks watermarks were still coming back, pieces missing, I had no wheels, so I have to wait now for another one to come, it won't be till next week now, so far very disappointed
I brought a quadrant shower enclosure and tray it came promptly and all in working order except the feet and raiser kit aren't included but didn't give me an option to order them so I though they was included and got attitude from the customer service guy. But the manager was very pleasant
The good... fanastic product and excellent pricing. From a product and ordering perspective these guys are 5 star and I would recommend their products highly.
The bad... delivery driver called at 8pm on a Friday night. Rude isnt even the word for it!!!! I asked for the delivery to be taken round the back of the house and his answer was 'we'll see'. I asked again and got the same response!! Wouldnt listen or communicate and was the most unhelpful person I have ever come across. On arrival... knocked the front door and was asked to go round the back of the house as requested. Started to moan about customers and other deliveries. If he'd just gone round the back as requested on the phone it wouldnt have taken anymore time! My suggestion is to change or fully vet your independantly employed drivers as they dont care and are offering ZERO customer service. This is a shame as the products are fantastic! My second order and both arrived between 8pm and 9pm!
Used the web site to quickly identify my exact requirements for a shower screen completed the purchase and it was a better specification than my local superstore and considerably cheaper. The free delivery was due in 2-6 days and arrived on the second day. Easily installed and delighted with the result.
I speak as I find and the enclosure complete with stone tray arrived exactly when they said it would, not only that I was kept right up to date with the progress of my order. A straight forward D I Y installation, not bad for a 65 year old.
