She clearly had a lot of information and I soon realised I wasn't understanding all of the issues. She suggested I scan and send her some of my existing AVC Documents so that we could "read from the same page".
I found her style and approach superb and enjoyed talking with her, I welcomed the flexibility to send her information directly.
After one call I am reluctant to use the star rating - so will be conservative at this stage.

I contacted Annuityline after my pension fund holder seem uninterested in my own personal circumstances and could do little more than quote company policy information, which in the end was erroneous.

Only wanted to get an online quote, but instead was called back by an attitudinal IFA who seemed to find it difficult to accept that I wasn't interested in wasting my time with an unnecessary meeting and seemed to doubt that I had any relevant expertise as regards financial and pension products. Maybe they should have a very confused.com site, I am a lay person and to be honest this choosing a pension, is a minefield. There are so many options that it becomes a bit frightening, in the sense that are you doing the right thing. I feel a little more informed but because this is not my field of interest although personally it should be, I may out of ignorance make a mistake, I do have questions to ask and hope that this will be enough to make a good choice.

I object to having to give so many details only to have someone call me signing the virtues of your service. All I wanted was a comparison from other suppliers, i.e., a list. My concern is that who pays your advisors? does this come out of my pot? as I can not imagine its free.
All they want is your phone number so that they can initiate a sales campaign.

It gives an idea and is in the right ballpark, but medical and other factors can make the figure vary considerably.
Use as a guide to select a few providers and contact them, the good news is that some listed you may not have considered, or even thought of providing Annuities
I filled up the on-line form and expected a few genuine calls - only one provider called who said he will ring back at a mutually agreed time but NO calls ....

All the companys that contacted me did not deal with the amount of money I had to buy an annuity. Ihad filled in the amount on the forms and felt it was a waste of my time and theirs as they phoned me and started talking as though they could help. In the end I asked them first the amounts they dealt with therefore ending the phone call pretty quickly.
The annuity line analyst followed up quickly to my query and provided me with extensive and detailed information demonstrating that my choices are much broader than I had anticipated. I have sent her several questions about the various options and I am certain she will respond quickly. I was very impressed with the service and will consider using Annuity Search once I am ready to select an annuity.
Well pleased with speed of response and also lack of high pressure selling - which I hate. It was good to be given a telephone appointment and approximate time of the call so that I could be prepared with relevant paperwork ahead of time.

I did an on line enquiry looking for an Open Market Option for a pension fund I can access next year. I completed all of the on line information and after submitting it the screen displayed Thank You, but I could not see any Quote on the screen or anywhere guiding me to the quote. I have also subsequently not received any e-mail Quote.
If so, they've haven't replied
I used the site expecting to get an instant annuity quote. After filling in my details I got a page that just said 'thank you', nothing else, nothing by email either.
So I can't see the point of annuitysearch!
My one sentence opinion says it all really. I'd just add that I'm more likely to buy a product from Nicola Hatch than any of the other reps from the other companies that I've had the misfortune to speak with so far.

I had already decided to stay in full time employment beyond my 65th birthday but with the benefit of the clear and detailed advice received I won't bother looking anywhere else when I finally decide to call it a day.
