First of all I am a real person and I do not work for Arrow XL
To be honest I was a bit apprehensive when I found out Arrow XL was part of Yodel, as Yodel let me down in the past.
However I was pleasantly surprised by how professional Arrow XL were, they called me 24hrs before the deliver was due to take place, to inform of timescale my item would be delivered as I had pre-arranged the delivery date with Very. Arrow XL told me I could expect my item between 12.45 and 16.45
Arrow XL delivered my item at 14.30 the delivery men also called 30mins before to say they were on their way.
I also like the fact Arrow XL have a Freephone number too, which allows customers to track the progress of items.
I now feel confident enough to order other large items from Very
Having checked this site for a review of arrow I was a bit nervous on what to expect,re comments on late or no delivery, leaving without install etc etc.So I rang arrow,to make sure my delivery was on the lorry and,on its way to my address as arranged.Firstly, there customer service operators were polite, friendly, checked and confirmed that my delivery of a washing machine was all on track,1st thing settled.Phone call 2 hours later from delivery team confirming they would be with me in 20 mins.I live on the top floor of a block of flats, the guys carried it up no complaining. They placed it in the kitchen, unpacked it,removed all packaging and box. They installed it in no time, offered to wait whilethey did a test wash, spin, drain.I cant praise the 2 guys highly enough, polite, friendly, efficient. The team were from the Worcester branch,so thanks you lot for being so perfect.10/10
Firstly I am a delivery driver for a national company (not parcels), I have delivered every size parcel you can think of for parcel company`s in the past so know what goes on and how the system works!!! The routes are predetermined before the vehicles leave the depots, the only delays should be traffic (an accident or break down) and maybe half to an hour through awkward deliveries. So why we all get times of between 8am and 5pm or other long variations beats me. I should have had one on the 18th of december 2013 ready for xmas a gift to my grandson, did not arrive, I found out be ringing arrow myself, it was damaged!!!! ordered again?delivery date and the usual text the day before??? nothing I left it and then rang 4 days later to be told sorry they could not deliver and the reason why?? yes it was damaged, question!!! why did they not ring me to tell me? I had to ring them to find out, so I ordered again then again, finally after 100% guarantee it finally came on the 8th of jan 2014, but at the end of the day, so that was 3 working days someone waited in, and earnings and other arrangements lost, why are company`s like Isme using these lame ducks they really are useless. would never recommend to anyone.
p/s I got a text yesterday saying I would be receiving a parcel via arrow xl today 7th of march 2014 between 10.30 and 14.30 its now 14.10 and still nothing I will return!!!!!!
Dinning table deliverY booked in for Saturday at between 0930 and 1330, at approx 1325 i received a call from the driver reporting they had broken down and most likely would not be able to deliver as he was waiting for a mechanic. At approx 1500 i received a call from a lovely lady informing me of the non delivery and re arranged the delivery to be made today at the same time window, slightly annoyed after my wife took the day off to wait in but i suppose these things happen. To my disbelief after calling arrow to find out why the delivery had not been made today also, only to be told it is not being delivered until the 27th and that the lovely lady should not have renegotiated a delivery day with me!! Regrettably i now have no table or chairs as i disposed of the old set to make room for the new and as a family we are all say eating dinner of lap trays whilst sat on the sofa. I have a new sofa being delivered from the same online retailer this Friday, really looking forward to finding out how this pans out, if it does happen my children will not be eating on the sofa then!!
Very unhappy with both Arrow and the online retailer for using them!! 2 days wages now lost on a table and chairs that has now almost cost my family more than its worth in loss of earnings alone.
supposed to have sofa delivered to us and guess what! it didn't turn up. apparently there was a computer glitch but no one rung up to tell me this. so rung them and they can only deliver by thurs or fri not very good is it. now i have no sofas in my flat and no where to sit. thanks arrowxl or yodel or home delivery network or is it white arrow you change your name so often its hard to keep up. is that because it has so many bad reviews.
I had my fridge freezer delivered early in the morning. The transport team had sent me a text the previous evening and on the day of delivery gave me call, saying they're 10 minutes away. "Efficient, professional" - I thought. Little did I know. They brought the fridge in, dropped it in the middle of the dining room and were ready to disappear. On my comment that this is not the kitchen and could they please unpack it and slide it into a raised slot, they reluctantly (!) agreed to do it. I paid for the old fridge to be taken away but they refused to comply, explaining that this was their first delivery and they have no room in the van. And before I had the time to call the customer services and pin them down, they were gone. I spent the whole day on the phone with - admittedly - very polite people from customer service who logged my complaint but were unable to contact the transport team (as we live in the world with no mobile phones, ekhm). After numerous phone calls, the old fridge is still here. As far as I am concerned, Arrow XL took the money for the service that has not been delivered. Shambles!
After having the worst experience with Very, I thought ArrowXl (their chosen delivery company) were going to at least make it all end promptly with a reliable and speedy delivery. How wrong I was!
At first Arrow seemed on the ball and were pretty decent at communicating via email and text letting us know when the delivery would take place. Sadly they failed to deliver the first time as they couldn't ascertain where we were exactly. I'll let them off for that, and even the lady on the phone was pleasant and gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing. This is where it all went downhill. The delivery address was a business and all I wanted to get them to do was deliver it after 9am as no one was around before, not a tall order for most delivery companies. So when I questioned if this was possible, the lady politely told me that all she could do was rebook another day and see whether we get a later delivery slot - which we never did. We've tried three delivery attempts with this company, and the third and final time was supposed to happen today, but after calling them, they had decided to not even put our order on the van as it was too full or some other random excuse. They didn't even let us know of this decision until we called to ask when it was likely to be delivered. We have now sent Addison Lee taxis to pick up the order from them and this will 100% be the last time we ever use Very or ArrowXL again. Shocking service!
2 sofas to be delivered 1st Feb 07.30-11.30am. 4pm Gets a call won't be delivering till the monday due to a computer error. What a joke! It was 4pm raining and the driver obviously clocked off early. Inundated with emails and texts to say on way too. Cancelled the order so Very lost over £1000.00 thanks to them. Can't believe Very.co.uk is using this unreliable firm.
Ordered my item was told would be dispatched on saturday had email text and everything else one hr later I have to phone them to be told my item won't be coming today due to delivery route problems what an absolute joke of a delivery company!
Arrowxl rang last Monday to arrange the delivery of two expensive leather armchairs. They told us it would be 7-10 am Thursday, 30th January. So got up at 6am and stayed in. By 10.30am with no sign, rang the catalogue company to get ArrowXL's phone number. In a proper world the catalogue company would ring their deliverers to sort it out, but not in the real world of British customer service, ie lack of customer service. We were told the chairs should have gone out but had not been put on the van and they would email (!!!!) the loading warehouse to find out why they had not been loaded and get back to us in 2 hours (!!!!). Obviously ringing the warehouse or going down to check were too obvious. After 2 hours with nothing, we rang again and were told the original person we spoke to was not available and it would take 2 hours for someone to get back to us. At this point we said, either get back to us or keep the chairs. To be fair half an hour later,we were told they had now been put on the 24 hour delivery service, the truck had gone out and we were second drop. The chairs finally arrived about 6.30pm with the usual no apology and just drop them off as quickly as possible and go. All Friday we were out and they were trying to ring us (we thought to apologise) but we were out. Today they rang at 9am to fix a slot to deliver our chairs! He was most put out when we told him they had sent them Thursday. Like many of your reviewers I suspect the catalogue company use them because they are cheap, but the selling companies ought to have a responsibility to sort their delivery companies out. Yodel, which other people seem to find just as bad as it's the same organisation, seem to have been fine in delivering small parcels, possibly because they use local people who get to know customers.
Where do I start!!! I ordered 2 Divan beds via Littlewoods and scheduled the delivery for Saturday, they arrived on Thursday when no-one was in! I was left a card with no reference or contact telephone number, I had to get this from Littlewood. I then called them to find out why they had tried to deliver that day but no-one could tell me why, I rescheduled this for Sat as previously agreed and even called on Friday to double check that it would be delivered and was told yes. Sat 3pm and still no delivery so I called them to be told the driver had called in sick! The didn't even have the courtesy to call me to tell me that I was not going to get my delivery. While I understand that these things happen, a phone call is surely just common courtesy! They told me that I would get it on Sunday. Today has come and yes they have delivered but they have only delivered the mattresses!!! What kind of company delivers beds but no bases?!?!?!?!? The drivers excuse is that her didn't load the van, so now I will nave to wait (probably another week) to get the bases. This company is and absolute Sham and I would never recommend them to anyone.
Firstly the were delivering 2 two seater sofas and a chair the chair was damaged so we refused delivery jobsworth driver said i have to deliver the lot or nothing. Next delivery time slot 10.45 14.45 arrived at 15 25 after i had called and told them my daughter had to pick my grandson up from school and would be back at 15.30 driver left a note saying he waited 20 minutes what a liar then refused to go back what a shit company
I am disabled and had a 40" tv delivered a few days ago. The delivery 'driver' just had me sign his little elecsign before leaving my tv in my hall and disappearing before I had a chance to ask for his assistance in setting my tv up as is stated on arrowxl.co.uk, which would have taken him all of 5 minutes. Arrow XL provides false and misleading information on your website under your 'Pride in our service' section, where you state you 'UNPACK AND INSPECT' 'LIGHT ASSEMBLY' and 'INSTALLATION'. PLEASE DO NOT ADVERTISE SERVICES IF YOU CANNOT DELIVER!!!
I ordered a bed for my son thats uses arrowxl for their deliveries and was told it would be delivered on thursday 10/10/13, a time slot between 3 and 5pm.....i waited and waited....so the friday morning i phoned the company to be told the men had run out of delivery hours!!!!.......would you like to arrange another day and time she said, so she asked me if the following tuesday 22/10/13 would be ok ....my son now having slept one night on the floor was going without a bed for another4 nights..(i don't think so)........when i told her this she told me to hold the line and came back with the saturday between 3 and 6pm...i accepted...sat came 3pm came and went 4pm came and went 5pm came and went 6pm came and aent ...then a phoncall at approx 6.30 saying they would be arriving in about 15mins...low and behold they were here...this delivery service is terrible....this bed was from dreams beds in dundee won't be ordering from them again!!!!
Ordered a dishwasher from a company that use Arrow Xl as the delivery company, was promised a delivery 21st October, 13.45- 1700, when it hadn't arrived by 17.45 phoned company to be told the delivery had been cancelled, heard nothing to say it was late or not coming, at 18.30 had a call from driver to say delivery had been cancelled, funny company new at least an hour earlier but said nothing untill I called, driver stated the dishwasher was going back to Aylsham depot, Not far I thought, when I was then offered to rebook the delivery at the soonest the 26th of October I offered to collect from Aylsham, I have a van take me an hour, No, I cant collect its been returned to Enfield, Must have gone past my door on the way past, What a shambles, They call this a white glove service, No its Just a rubbish service, will mean 3 days off work for something I could have collected, Rubbish, Rubbish , Rubbish
Took day off to receive delivery and phoned up to confirm time slot and that there were no delays. Half an hour before time slot expired was told that driver had gone back to depot having 'finished deliveries' for the day. Was unable to get them to send him back out. Utterly useless, if a company uses Arrow XL for deliveries shop elsewhere and explain why.
Order product on Wednesday had confirmations of delivery even up until 7 am on Delivery date 28-09-2013. told order would be delivered 9.45 -13.45. when 13.45 came and went decided to call the contact centre to find out where my order was at. this call was at 2.15. the young girl I spoke to was disinterested and rude. did not seem to care and when I made a point of the lateness she stated to me "its just one of those things" you should never tell a customer this. She then told me there was a 2-3 hour delay as the delivery driver had left the depot late.. I do not see how this is my problem. I then ended the call with the lady and continued to wait. I then tried to call back at 17.00 as the text stated that I could call the number up until 20.00 however this was not the case as the contact centre closed at 16.00. Eventually at 17.52 I received a call from the delivery driver only to be fed a line that the van had broken down and my order would not be coming today and that I was expected to reschedule the delivery. I told the man that I did not believe the van had broken down and that it was wrong that he had left it so late to contact me considering the time the delivery was supposed to arrive. After being fed more cobblers from the man I ended the call and got straight on to the company I had ordered from to cancel the item as I believe the company they have chosen is a direct reflection of their poor customer service as I was informed that these problems have occurred in the past and also I checked the online reviews. I am totally disgusted and will never order from a company that uses this service. So so mad. completely spoiled my weekend!!
Ordered an item from a reputable company, took 4 days to dispatch which I was not impressed with but had been assured that I would have my delivery by 21st May. Tracking says "Available to deliver" on 16th May but then nothing. Had been assured I would get a phone call to arrange delivery but instead got an email from ArrowXL this evening saying they will deliver the item on 22nd May!!!! If that's not convenient they say to ring an 0800 number which no-one bothers to answer! Total crap and not surprised being part of Yodel (formally known as Yodel XL). Let me guess, they are getting ready to rename themselves yet again. Home Delivery Network to Yodel.......what next, time to rename again as your rep is pants! Why these companies choose to use this rabble I will never know - they must be cheap!
