I made a booking for a glasier to fix a broken window by phone. I asked how much it would cost. The answer was vague. I was told it depended on how long it would take and how much glass was used. I gave the size of the window and was told it depended what sort of glass we used. They seemed incapable of giving a straight answer. The following day the glazier arrived and when I asked him how much it would cost he again gave the same vague answer. I managed to extract from him the cost of the glass but he seemed incapable of telling me how long it would take. He removed the broken glass quickly enough but after that things slowed down considerably. Everything he did in slow motion. It was quite obvious that he was trying to make the job last as long as possible. They charge by the hour. In the end I had to tell to go and finished it myself in a matter of minutes.

We had the Aspect guys in our property 3 times over the last 10 days to detect the source of a leak in our apartment. In fairness I have to say the plumber they sent was nice and tried hard to help up, but I was completely disappointed with the way the company handled the problem, only looking to get more money from us.
After a first visit when the leak was not detected, they suggested to send over two people (for double the cost of course). During the second visit again a solution was not found, but by the time the workers left my property I was charged 500 pounds.
The days after they were keen in getting in contact with me to offer their help with other issues I had at my property and when I asked them to come and have a look at our apartment as the leak was still there, they sent a plumber and charged me for it, despite me telling them clearly I didn't want anyone at my property if they were to charge me.
I am now still waiting for someone of the company to call me back regarding my complaint.
My experience was this company is only after getting the money, not building a good client base with good costumer care and service.
It was easily booked in for the next day, he was able to arrive early, so someone phoned up to confirm it was ok to arrive, which was nice. When the engineer phoned he was friendly efficient and explained what was happening. Very happy with the service, and I will use them again.
I have used Aspect on 2 occasions now and both times the call centre staff and the engineers have been fantastic - on time, know their stuff and get the job done. I would not hesitate to use them again.
Richard came to look at our boiler and got our hot water working again. He explained what e thought the problem was likely to be and how he intended to fix it. Having got to the bottom of it he then used the remainder of the hour to check over the system and bleed a few radiators as he said we might as well use the full hour of his time as that is what we were paying for. Having had some bad experiences elsewhere, I was more than happy and will be using Aspect again.
Being a landlord for a 5 bedroomed house in SW12 I've used my fair share of property maintenance companies. The difference with Aspect is you feel you're dealing with like minded people. They immediately understood what was required, sent an estimator who knew what he was talking about it, priced the job then carried out the work over the weekend. I would have given 5 starts but the decorator left a bit of a mess.
I hadn't realised the scope of work carried out by Aspect - now I do will definitely use them again.
I've previously only ever been a Trustpilot 'taker' - more than happy to benefit from others' reviews whilst never giving anything back - but my experience of this company makes it far from fair that the previous review sits at the top, bad experience though it appears to have been.
After some early, mostly bad, experiences of trying to save money by trawling the internet for specialist sole traders, getting multiple quotes etc, I have used Aspect for everything that has ever been done at my property (a quick check on their website has - in fact - just revealed that I only need 'Air-Con' to complete the full set) and the extra that I may have paid over the years has been more than offset by the benefits of having one number to call and of dealing with a proper organisation.
The engineers have always turned up on time, known what they were doing, and seem always to have done it efficiently. I've had cause to call them back a couple of times with minor gripes, and always got the impression that I was phoning through to a proper contact centre that sorted things quickly.
If you're looking for a professional outfit that can do everything, then I can recommend them. It is of course possible that I may one day have the type of experience that brings me back to Trustpilot to remove some stars and write in capitals, but that currently feels as likely as my needing to call in those Air Con engineers.
Seamless, smart, supple. We needed a quick response to a problem - a painting a decorating job that cropped up on a Friday and had to be completed by Monday for new tenants to begin their tenancy - and Aspect delivered! If only the rest of the country saw the world the way Aspect does! Now the house looks shiny and new, the tenants are impressed and we are ASPECTOPHILES!! Well done team.
In the month of May this year I decided to get the shower room renovated and used Aspect-Maintenance for this work. They did such a botch job that it was not fit for the purpose. It is my considered opinion that one should think twice before using these unreliable builders. They gave me an impression of typical cow boy builders by cutting corners, not following the manufactures instructions, leaving the place in a dangerous condition and asking for more money to get their own mistakes in the work corrected.
On the first day they were supposed to start, no one turned up. Following day the tiller started the work and finished in three days tiling the floor, painting ceiling and removing old shower unit, basin and W/C. All the waste produced was removed by the refuse disposal van provided by aspect.co.uk at about 1:30 pm. It was so far so good. The trouble began when the plumber started working on the shower unit. According to the manufactures instructions, there should be two people to do the job. Only one plumber turned up. I mentioned this matter to the project manager of Aspect- Maintenance and it was totally ignored.
The previous unit was of 750 Sq mm. It was to be replaced by the unit of 900 Sq. mm. The previous unit was 100mm high which is a normal height of a shower unit tray. The wall of the shower room was already tiled before. The decorator had to remove the tiles from the wall because they were damaged during the removal of the old unit. The plumber instead of replacing the damaged tiles, he raised the height of the new unit to cover the void left by damaged tiles. This made the shower unit 200 mm high. I notice that when the 100mm high PVC cladding supplied by the manufacturer did not fit the unit. It was half of the height. I pointed out this matter to the project manager that 100 mm was the recommended height. That night when I used the unit, I discovered that it was dangerous to use because it was too high and needed a support of 100 mm high. It was easy to get in but dangerous to get out after shower without a support.
When I pointed out to the project manager, he refused to accept any mistake was carried out by the plumber. He kept on insisting that the previous tray was 200 mm height same as the new one. Even I was accused of telling white lies. I had to produce photographic evidences to prove my point. He insisted that while removing the waste in the evening during his last visit which was on the following day after the plumber finished his work, he found 2” x4” timber panels used as support for the old system. He did not realise that all the waste from the old system was removed by aspect’s van six days prior to his visit. At the end he accepted his fault. Even then instead of correcting it the mistake by lowering the unit by 100mm, he insisted that it will cost me another £450 + vat. When I suggested providing an additional platform, he produced another estimate for the stop stool £170 to make one. I went to a well-known Departmental Store and got a bathroom step stool (350x450x100 mm) for £23.50. However, using supporting timber panels (not recommended by the manufacturer) have made the unit unstable. The steel legs provided have started to slip away. I stopped using the shower unit.
I have discovered that the company Aspect-maintenance was continuously cutting corners. They had no interest in the welfare of the Clint. When I explained them that I got a bad knee and it was impossible for me to use the shower unit at the current stage, they totally ignored the fact. They did not want to know about it. Even I was accused by their Project Manager of telling white lies. The work carried out by the Aspect-Maintenance was totally unsatisfactory and I will never use them again.
First I wrote to the customer services without any success. Eventually I published this letter in their google website. I also wrote on the wall of the aspect.co.uk in the face book to get some action. I received a call from their customer services and then a visit from their Operational Director. He inspected the shower unit and confirmed that it was in a dangerous condition because by the vibrations the steel legs started to slip away from the timber panels. He moved them to the centre of the panels and tight them up to make it safe. He also mentioned that he will send someone to nail down the timber panels from slipping. I also mentioned that these timber panels were not necessary to use. Also they are not recommended by the manufacturers to use them. They were making the tray unnecessary high and difficult to use. I had to commitment from him to get this done. It is over a week now; I did not hear anything from them.
They did such a botch job that I am not sure if I should allow them near my property. I might have to hire some other builders to finish the job they left behind

IT NEEDS TO BE COMMUNICATED HOW BAD THEIR SERVICE REALLY IS BEFORE MORE PEOPLE ARE EFFECTED!!! I QUESTION THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS HERE, EVERYONE I HAVE SPOKEN TO HAS BEEN BADLY EFFECTED BY ASPECT AND THEIR POOR SERVICE
I had aspect carry out several small jobs which were expensive but fine, I then requested a job to repair a faulty roller shutter in my flat. The 'engineers' literally destroyed the casing which the shutter was cased in as well as the curtains, they left the job looking as though a bomb had gone off. Not only was it incomprehensible how a so called tradesman could claim to be proud of his work when having left the job in such a terrible state but when intending to raise the issue I was also IGNORED FOR MORE THAN ONE MONTH before anyone from aspect would speak to me, they never returned my calls, not even once. I called almost every day for one month asking to speak to customer services and not a sales rep who 'couldn't help'). Once I finally managed to get hold of the head of windows and doors 'specialists', I was rudely called a liar and told to go away even after sending proof in the way of images both before and after the work was done. I wish I could upload the images on this site, it is shocking. I am currently pursuing legal advice…my advice to you is STAY AWAY..use trust a trader or rated people at least their feedback is genuine.
The technician showed up dead on time, completed the work quickly and well including the last-minute extra of fixing the window handle, and even went to buy window cleaner to get his fingerprints off the glass. Couldn't have asked for better.
We had partially collapsed wall and Aspect's call centre handled the enquiry very responsively getting a builder out to us that same day to board up the wall and make it safe. The builder was courteous, professional and did an excellent job. Only not 5 stars because they were unable to quote for a bricklayer to repair the wall fully. Would not hesitate to use them again.
I was tired of waiting for my old roofer to return my calls so I thought I would try aspect.co.uk and, boy, was I delighted with the service! Immediate response, job well done so I would definitely recommend them to all.
From the initial call centre contact to the free follow up personal check on the work carried out, its a flawless service. My biggest concern is always calling out a tradesman on work I know nothing about. Aspect turn up in clean vans with presentable workmen and talk you through the problem - with photo's to illustrate. Puts your mind at rest.
My council owned, leasehold property is suffering severe subsidence and damp which I have always believed is due to defective drainage/sewer pipes. The council have consistently denied this, even in a story in my local newspaper. I called Aspect for a CCTV drain inspection. The engineer was on time, extremely polite and friendly. He lifted two manhole covers and subsequently showed me cracks in the sewer pipes and an underground bomb shelter, flooded with water! I asked the engineer to take photos on my mobile as I was very busy at the time. I felt quite comfortable leaving my phone with him. Not only did he take good photos but also step-by-step ones to undeniably prove these were my drains and said he'd do a written report. Finally, after 8 long and miserable years, I have the proof I need. Subsidence is a serious issue and if ignored, the building (a block of flats) could fall down. It is for this reason I am labelling Aspect as potential lifesavers and I cannot thank them or their engineer enough for their excellent service, all for a measly £114!!! Thanks once again Aspect, I would most definitely use your services in future.
I had two Aspect engineers in the space of ten days last summer to fix a leak from a bathroom ceiling. The first guy was at our home for two hours and fifteen minutes and charged us £240 leaving behind a hole in the ceiling which he had cut out but no solution, the second guy made the hole bigger and still had no idea where the leak was coming from. He spent one and a half hours and charged us £153. Stupidly we paid the first invoice but put our foot down on the second. Soon after the failed jobs I explained in detail to Aspect how we felt and why we did not consider it right to charge us anything for the second job given the two engineers between them did nothing to solve our problem (in fact, I was and still am considering making a claim against them for compensation). Despite this they failed to follow up the matter. Months of total silence from Aspect went by until last week when I received a poorly drafted letter before action from their solicitors demanding payment of the outstanding invoice plus interest and compensation.
NIGHTMARE! For gods sake use Dynorod instead.
Firstly ASPECT came on the wrong day but charged me a callout anyway.
Then the guy came but his jet wash was broken. They charged me anyway.
Thirdly, a guy came at the wrong time when were were open to the public. They
charged me. (I had explained the times to 3 different people).
Finally a guy came and as far as I was concerned, he jetted the pipes, charged me
and all was well.
£320 was taken from my card and after A LOT of phone calls and emails, they
credited some back, but not as much as I expected.
Today I see my toilets are not unblocked at all. The water levels are rising in the toilets.
I phoned Aspect. APPARENTLY they have left messages (on a phone number with no
voicemail) to tell me the 'Engineer' couldn't unblock the pipes but needed a camera.
He didn't find it necessary to tell any of my staff on site. He just said goodbye and left.
If they come back with a camera, it's another £162.
Dynorod charge £150, they supply TWO MEN AND A CAMERA as standard.

Just had new windows installed and had to get into the whole business of new curtains and curtain poles. The most boring thing on earth but it had to be done. Curtain pole needed putting up but it's a fiddly job and the plaster was a bit old and crumbly. Aspect sent a very nice man who listened, considered, discussed the problem and then put the pole up using his own very long screws rather than the ones that came with the pole. He was very quick. Job done . Relief!! This company's handyman service could be a real winner!
The engineers are always easy to talk to and happy to explain what they are doing. We have used aspect for a number of jobs over the years and would recommend giving them a call

Only experience of this company is emergency roofer during recent snow - woke to water pouring into living room. Oliver arrived within one hour of phonecall, sorted the problem very quickly, showed me photos of what he had done, what needed to be done (only if I agreed), and even e-mailed me photos later when I asked. Very impressed with his hard work and pleasant attitude. OK, they are not cheap, but then you get what you pay for. And there are no hidden charges, website clearly states rates. Recommended.
Would not recommend this company. The engineer did not even know where the shut off valve was put on. He was even about to walk away from the Gas meter without switching it back on, when he needed it on to test where the leak was. I needed to instruct him on where to look and what to do and I was charged £132 for the privilege.Great job, NOT!
Got a response to this review and was not impressed. Then I got an email from Sam Fletcher who was more professional and agreed to compromise as a gesture of goodwill, which is much appreciated.
I understand that gas meters are in different places in different homes but the engineer didn't ask, he just started undoing pipes, until I asked him what he was doing. He then said, "trying to find where Transco put the stop". If I hadn't been standing there he would have undid the pipe then have to redo it. All he had to do was ask. It was his whole manner and he didn't give straight answers when asked about the fault. If I did use Aspect again I would make sure that I didn't have that engineer!
The gas engineer fixed a leaking flue pipe and arranged for the supplier to come and replace the regulator the same day. I was very happy with the service provided, particularly as a previous engineer from another company had failed to identify the cause of the problem.
I was so pleased to find Aspect.co.uk online, and even happier to see how many household tasks they cover. One call does it all. The electrician I ordered was at the door practically before I put the phone down, and another workman arrived not long afterwards. They worked quickly, quietly and cleanly. Nothing was too much for them.
This company is a one-stop home maintenance marvel, and I'll certainly be using them again!
The engineer arrived promptly at 8.30 AM, assessed the work and according to him would nip out to get some tools.
He DID NOT return on-site until 10.45 AM, that is at least 2 hours and 15 minutes later! When he returned, I asked if his office/ workshop was far away and he replied it was just down the road. The actual job (moving the door entry phone to the other room) was done in under 40 minutes.
I have been charged 351 GBP for a job that should have cost GBP 180 due to the time he disappeared off-site. I have flagged this with Aspects customer service last December but have yet to hear back from them after this initial reply:

I have asked our Electrical Trade Head to have a look at your job and get back to me as soon as possible. If the engineer had to go and source parts for the job then he should have explained this to you at the time. We do consider ourselves to be professional, honest and committed; traits which are generally not associated with the industry we represent.
Again I am sorry you feel so strongly about your Aspect experience. We do pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and, although we are by no means perfect and we will look into the problem and get back to you.

.......A nice email, however since I have had no response to any of my follow up emails or calls. I can understand that they would need to make the necessary checks with this Engineer as to ascertain what would have taken him 2 hours, but their inability to keep me updated has made me doubt Aspect's level of responsibility and clarity on what is chargeable to the customer. Please beware.
Right from booking the job through the delivery of th e service to the after care service I found the level of service to be the best that I have experienced - ever!
The contrast for the emergency call out to fix a problem left by a competitor emergency call out was one end of the spectrum to the other. I cannot recommend them higky enough.
The site engineer arrived on time and carried out a very thorough assessment of the required work efficiently and within an hour. He was very pleasant, professional and honest. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to other individuals and companies. Aspect's estimate was delivered promptly and was very competitive. My property management company will be looking forward to employing their services in the near future.
This is the second time I have used Aspect and on both ocassions I have been more than happy with the service I received. Timely, efficient and friendly.
Very poor service. Please take 2 minutes to read this, unless you like to have your time and money wasted by a poorly organised company: Our shower door was broken. Damien Trehy from Aspect came round to give us an estimate. He spent 10 minutes in the house, during which time he told us several times that we would NOT be charged for the estimate there that day, and then spent a further 30 minutes outside in the road "getting an estimate" for us. He left without giving us an estimate. That was 15th September. Aspect sent us an estimate NINE DAYS LATER (24th September) for £382! (During that 9 day wait we had the shower door fixed for £80). We were also charged £126 for the 10 minutes Damien Trehy spent in our house NOT giving us an estimate. Even after he told us numerous times that we would NOT be charged for his estimate there. When the invoice arrived it said that he was on site for 45 minutes! I wrote 4 e-mails in total to: Ana Antonio, Daniel Newton and the Invoicing department. No-one responded. I called 22nd October and spoke to Harry in customer service who was unable to put me through to accounts. I told him very strongly the problems I was having and he assured me I would be called back. I asked him when and he couldn't say. It's now a week later and no-one has called me back nor e-mailed. In summary: took up our time, lied to us about cost, took 9 days to give us an estimate, charged us £126 for 10 minutes of totally unproductive 'estimating', estimated an extortionate sum, took up hours of chasing them and never responded to any messages. This company does not care about its customers. I wish I had read the online reviews (yelp) first that I have since seen. Unfortunately they are far worse stories than this one. Please shop around further.
