I URGE YOU to choose a different retailer! Aspecto have been happy to take my money time and time again but have ZERO INTEREST IN AFTER SALES!
I first started shopping with Aspecto around 5-6 years ago and have bought several (expensive) items including hoodies, jeans, t-shirts and jackets from them. When I first started to shop with them they signed me up to their 'Loyalty Card Scheme'; spend £500 and get a £50 voucher, for every £500 after that get another £25 voucher...seems good right? WRONG!
I must have spent well over £1200 with Aspecto and upon recently purchasing a £400 jacket the assistant at the till told me how I'll have enough for a voucher if I shop with them regularly. Here begins the PROBLEMS: He swipes my 'loyalty' card to load the points on to, and to mine and his surprise the account shows an Asian name with no other details...me being a white male he points out that this wasn't my account card. HOW HAS THIS HAPPENED?! HAS SOMEBODY IN SOME SHOP GIVEN ME SOMEBODY ELSE CARD?! WHAT'S HAPPENED TO MY CARD?! HAS MY CARDS ACCOUNT BEEN WIPED CLEAN (ACCIDENTALLY OR MALICIOUSLY)?! IS SOMEBODY WALKING AROUND WITH MY CARD AND MY PERSONAL DETAILS?! WILL I LOSE ALL MY LOYALTY POINTS ACCRUED OVER THE YEARS?!
He assures me that it's fine and it'll be sorted, just call customer services and they'll add the points on for you manually. OK....
I call customer services to add the points on and they tell me that there's ZERO points under MY NAME!!! They don't have a clue what to do. They tell me that they'll escalate it and have somebody call me back. To the credit of Aspecto I get my callback within the SLA given. Apart from that everything afterwards was ATROCIOUS. I'm called back by a guy in Leeds who claims that its "his company and who implemented the loyalty card system and its impossible to wipe points from an account" OK, so this should be an easy fix then right? WRONG!
He goes on to tell me he can't properly attain all of the information needed because he needs to look into the card that I handed over in store to resolve my issue, but becuase the store had cut the card up at the instruction of the store manager there's not much be could (was willing) to do. Hes aggresive, talking over me, interupting me telling me "you're not listening are you?!" He makes me out to be a LIAR and tells me that he isn't going to believe that I've made any previous purchases from any of their stores without proof of receipts (some from 5 years ago bear in mind!), that it's "just stalemate", they're not prepared to give me any vouchers I would have been entitled to if I'd have hoarded my receipts, so just save up some more points and, although there is something gone wrong in our process somewhere along the line, unlucky Mr Customer - you're going to lose out and not get what we advertised to you. He even went on to say to me "well you're not going to get anything so if you want I'll just close your account with us" YEAH - CLOSE MY ACCOUNT! Next time I'm in Manchester I'll walk past your shop and straight into a more established chain store. It's for reasons like what's happened above (and trying to save £50-£75) that smaller, independent retailers are going out out business all over the country - and I hope ASPECTO go out of business for trading like this!
The only reason I'd buy clothing (and help keep smaller companies afloat) is to have a more personal service from an assistant but if you can't even get that right then what's the point...What would big company do for the sake of £50?! They'd HONOUR IT, keep a happy customer and a good image. Aspecto have failed to do any!
***TAKE MY WORD, SHOP WITH A BIGGER RETAILER WITH PROPER SYSTEMS IN PLACE, AND WHO ARE CAPIBLE OF DOING SOMETHING FOR THE CUSTOMER IF THINGS SHOULD GO WRONG!!!***
5th Jan: I placed an order and as per the instructions in the terms and conditions, sent an email to request it be delivered to my work address. No answer. 8th Jan: I get an email saying the order was with the courier and would be delivered to my home address. I emailed in. Again, no answer. 11th Jan: no package at either address, so I chased up Parcel Force - it's at the depot in Glasgow ?! I emailed using the website and finally a reply ! Cust services say they will contact Parcel Force and try to have the package redirected. 14th Jan: Parcel is delivered, but to my home address where it has been left with the porter. He only works Mon-Fri 9-5 (when I am at work) - hence the request for delivery to my work address.
So, I still don't have and don't know when I will get my order. 9 days to deliver is completely unacceptable and delivery to the wrong address could easily have, and should have, been avoided. Very, very disappointed.
I ordered a jacket (3 times by accident) once I realised my mistake I contacted the company via e-mail & they sorted out my error immediately without any fuss & my jacket arrived the next day! I am very happy with the service & product & a very good price!! Thank you Aspecto!!!!
Top quality goods, service excellent. Problem with PAYPAL address, picked up and sorted by despatcher. No other company has ever noticed error on address, so very thorough customer service, cannot fault.
Having finally tracked down a Barbour Jacket for our son's Christmas present from Aspecto I must say I was a little anxious that it would arrive in time. I needn't have worried, it was delivered within 48 hours of ordering, well packed and in A1 condition. Would use again and recommend.
Purchased two of the same shirt in different sizes. First one arrived the day after ordering, at no extra cost, the 2nd the day after that. Have kept one and took the other back to the store in the Trafford Centre. Item was booked in and refunded a day later.
This is the benchmark that all online stores should aspire to. The level of efficiency and service puts many other, sometimes larger, retailers to shame.
I ordered my new Timberlands at 1.15 pm, they arrived the next morning. This is the kind of service I like. The product was exactly as I expected and the communication and tracking worked as they should. If only some other retailers could get their act together instead of paying lip service.
Son ordered trainers for school from another supplier and they didnt fit. Time was running out and we found Aspecto which offered 24 hour delivery on all their items for £6 (most other companies charge this but take days to deliver).
Communication was fantastic and the trainers arrived in time for school. Will definitely use them again.
