Auto Direct cancelled my insurance and I only found this out 5 days later. According to them they have sent number of letters/ emails requiring certain documents for 7 months and because I did not reply they simply cancelled an insurance. My question one is why they waited for 7 months to cancel my policy? And I did not get any emails except a letter week ago saying that policy was cancelled 5 days earlier! Seriously thinking to make a formal complaint! In addition, I lost my 4yrs of NCB over this!
Great quotes on price comparison sites, sign up and then actually find you'll be paying a lot more. Charges for everything, only a premium number to call them on...dreadful website which is a waste of time and won't let you log in. And if you need to change anything on the policy that add, yep you guessed right...more ridiculous charges. On top of my orIginal policy prIce of £450 it increased to a staggering £1200!!!! These cowboys also decided to cancel my policy without telling me, when it still has 3 months left to run.w Their customer service is full of people with smart mouths and excuses, not helpful. Don't bother with them not worth the hassle. I am in the process of reporting to the financial ombudsman in the hope of getting some of my excessive charges back.
This company is offering v competitive deals on motor insurance & then trying to prise more money out of you by refusing to accept your actual No Claims Bonus information (legitimate certificates going back several years) - stating that you need to provide special letters from previous insurance on letterheaded paper in a v short timeframe as well or they want several £100s extra!
Do not use them as so much time spent it's probably worth paying extra to use another company instead!
