We recently returned from our 2 weeks trip to Maldives! Awayholidays did a commendable job at arranging this important trip for us. Adaaran Select Meedhupparu Resort was simply fabulous and we even got our accommodation upgraded without much problem for a better view. The friendly staff and fabulous services made our stay enjoyable. Awayholidays really displayed good care and skills in helping us with the booking as well as with the upgrade and we appreciate all their help. Everything was like clock-work and we would highly recommend their services.
I was told I would pay a premium for booking the hotels' transfer so booked it with Away - they charged me £78. On arrival I found the hotel charged £25 & on return I found On The Beach offering the same for £22. They only booked our vegetarian meals one way so we went without food from 3am to 2pm. They told me I didn't need a visa & we had to buy one but we only had Egyptian pounds & we had to pay in sterling or dollars which we didn't have. At 3am in Cairo this was very distressing & we had to go to all the banks who turned us away. finally we found one who charged us a premium to pay in Egptian £'s. I phoned the 24 hr helpline for advice & got no reply. No-one bothered to phone or email to check we were ok. Away told me there were no direct flights (we booked last minute) so we flew via Cairo & found people who had booked last minute and who had paid half what we did & flew direct. They changed my flights and forgot to change the e-ticket number so I had problems checking in. I sent an email to Away a few days ago & it hasn't been acknowledged. Their website talks about excellent service & customer service - judge for yourself but I am disgusted.
Write as if you're speaking to a friewe just concluded our holidays with them to Dubai and it was as tension free and easy as it has been in the past. we have booked with them 2 times so far. the agents are quick with options and helpful. Last time to mauritius they provided us many hotel options as we did not know any there. we opted for le meridian and had a great 2 weeks holiday. This time we knew we wanted jebel ali beach hotel and we are happy that they have been able to get us what we wanted at a great price plus an extra free night and an early bird discount as a part of the special offer. we are thoroughly satisfied with them.nd.
We have booked our flights to the USA for March 2013 with Away Holidays, found their number on teletext, The lady who dealt with us was extremely friendly, had excellent knowledge of products and services available, couldn't asked for a better consultant her name was Teresa! :) We will be keeping her direct line number and will book again.
We have booked with Away holidays twice and our experience with them as well on the holidays booked by them has been thoroughly wonderful. Last time we went to Dubai and this time we have booked Phuket. It’s for Banyan Tree and the deal on their website did not seem to be available with any other agents we spoke to. At first we thought it was too good to be true. But later when we called them they were able to offer us the exact price. We are happy with the agent who handled our booking she was very helpful and knowledgeable. She even managed to get us the early bird discount besides the complimentary offer of 1 added night. All set to experience some great sun and tan in Thailand in 2013!!
We decided to go with awayholidays for our dubai holiday in Jan 2013 after a lot of research and talking to many other agents. They seemed to have specialization for Dubai and Maldives holidays and they actually turned out to be most economical. We are happy with the professional help and advice received from their agent. We are booked in sea view and flying emirates – well within our planned spend. looking forward to shop big as we have planned this trip during the Dubai shopping festival
I came across the company on Teletext online and I had contacted the company directly as the number provided was did not connect at all.
After speak for the first time they put me on hold 3 times as "he other calls to take" and belittled me with the prices and was arguing with me over the phone!
When asked to speak to a manager they said there is no call back nor is there any call backs!
