This company took my money, but never sent my order. I tried emailing them and phoning them for months.
Apparently it is run by Praba Thevathasan and Francis Sathish Babu (who also runs IT Jack).
But I was never able to get hold of either of these people, so I after 6 months I have lost my £200.
I ordered a few things from them, and the order never showed up, I tried to email/telephone them many times, but could never get an answer. I eventually gave up and contacted my credit card company to get a refund.
I would recommend avoiding this company, even if you're lured in by low prices.
I placed an order in February and immediatly received confirmation. The money was taken from my bank a day later. It is now over 30 days and I have yet to receive the car seat. I have had no response whatsoever to my emails, they don't answer their phones. The shop is closed and shutters are down for a couple of weeks now! BEWARE this company! Do NOT order from them unless you like throwing your money away. Shocking service and I believe complete Fraudsters. I have filed a criminal complaint against them and have claimed my money back through the bank! This company should be shut down and the owner prosecuted for fraud!!!!
Ordered three car seats from this company at the end of January, after a couple of weeks I called to get an idea of when the items might arrive. Phone rings out and emails go unanswered. This company is currently under investigation by Bexley Trading Standards.
Owner Sateesh Babu keeps posting on review sites, but this is as close as many of his 'customers' get to speaking to him.
I can't believe these people are still in operation. I ordered a child car seat from Babytime and despite countless requests to cancel my order all I ever got was delivery promises that were never fulfilled. My bank eventually reversed the transaction and refunded my money but I'm still receiving emails promising delivery.
Purchased a car seat in January - money was deducted from my card immediately but 5 weeks later still no goods. I have since discovered this is a common trend for this company and have now commenced proceedings to have my money returned via my card company. No response from e-mails, telephone rings out. How can this company still be trading... I've seen similar complaints dating back months!!!
I ordered a cosy-toes for a pram. The product never arrived. I contacted the organisation and informed them of this and also the fact that I now wanted to cancel the order. babytimelondon did not contact me back, I never got my order and I never received a refund. I do not recommend this company at all. Appalling service.
Ordered a pushchair that was in stock in December 2010. It is now February and I have still not had any response from them regarding where my £100 or the pushchair is. Am now in touch with trading standards, police and my card provider. I consider this company to be fradulent and strongly advise that you don't try and save a few pounds by buying from them, as you'll only loose the lot and end up with no product. As for the good reviews on here, they contain the same spelling mistakes and grammatical errors as Babytime Londons website. What a coincidence!
Please report your bad experience to trading standards so we can get these cowboys shut down.
I placed an order for good in region of £50 on 18th Dec - money came out of my account immediately and I received an email advising my order was being processed. So far so good but since then - NOTHING.
I have called repeatedly - phone always engaged. I emailed requesting an update - no response. I used the website "contact me" feature - no response. I have emailed again on 18th Jan requesting a full refund - so far no response. I will be waiting the required 30 days before getting my card provider involved.
Avoid this potentially fraudulent company at all costs. Better to pay a few extra quid and use a reputable online company - Baby Curls, Kiddicare & Bambino Direct have all been wonderful.
Placed order, asked for progress no response. Tried to contact again, no response. Cancelled order, no response. My credit card company are now involved and I am just waiting for the statutory time before initiating chargeback. I will get my money back.
I ordered a car seat in stock on 25th November 2010. Money was paid by my card immediately and got a confirmation email. But, I haven't got the car seat yet. I'd like to know the current status for the order so I've called Babytime many times but I can't reach them. I've sent emails and left a message on their "Contact Us" but there is no reply at all. Today(17th Dec) I sent an email to them again requesting the refund but I don't think they will give me any answer in near future.
I've never seen like this horrible company before.
Placed an order with them on 3 Nov and recieved order confirmation. After nealy 2 weeks I tried contacting them to find out where my order was. After many calls (with either no answer or engaged tone) filling in the online form and emailing them, I decided to cancel my order today (1 Dec). I tried one last time to call them and miracle of miracles they answered! They told me that the payment had not gone through! I cancelled the order to avoid the same thing happening again. I would avoid using this website at all costs!!

my partner ordered a car seat 16th Oct and never arrived, they kept promising it would come and still nothing! we requested a refund 10 Nov and are still waiting. i've called numerous times and there is no answer. I believe this company is fraudulant and will be reporting them to the proper authorities! I have informe my card company!

I ordered a car seat and car seat belted base 4th October 2010 (Web page stated items in stock). Money was charged to my card immediately and confirmation email received. Belted base arrived 1.5 weeks later. I called Babytime to find out where the car seat was and was told I would have the seat in three days. By the 28th October I had sent three emails to them the third one threatening to involve my credit card company. They wrote back within 10 minutes to apologise and told me that the car seat would be despatched "as soon as possible". On the 3rd November I still had not received the car seat and called Babytime. They admitted to me that they did not have the car seat and had no idea when they would be receiving them from the supplier. They told me that if I wished I could have a refund. I sent an email that same day requesting the refund and confirmation that the refund would be sent. At the time of writing this, 17th November I have still not received any communication from them nor the refund. To summarise my situation, 1 1/2 months in, £89 down, no car seat, no idea when my money will be returned.
Placed an order for a car seat isofix base and other than the confirmation email stating the money had been taken from the credit company we heard and recieved nothing. After a month of trying to contact them by email which they didn't reply to and trying to call them and not answering the phone we contacted the credit card company to get a refund. 2 days after the credit card company got involved the item miraculously appeared at the door with a next day delivery slip attached to it!
Avoid this company like the plague!
I placed my order weeks ago with baby time london, and my card was charged almost immediately. Other than an automated e-mail when I placed my order, I have heard nothing from babytime despite e-mailing, faxing and calling. Fed up, I canceled after a week, yet have not received a refund or even a response. AVOID.
we ordered a car seat and received in the next day. so we ordered a cot bed. next some one from the store called and me and updated me saying that the cotbed will be delivered in couple of days and as said they have delivered exactly in two days. the price was far better. good service and best price
ordered a push chair from babytime london got delivered in the next day. the price is good. so we have oreder a cotbed second time. next day some one from the store called me and said they take 3 working days to delivery cot bed and delivered exactly as said. nice service and good price. try them
I placed the order for a pram and got the usual automated response. I then heard nothing... for over a week.
Sent an email and heard nothing. Credit card had been charged.
Left for a further few days, phoned company and they do answer the phone so a few points there. Spoke to an Indian gentleman who said my pram had been delivered. I said it hadn't, he requested I wait a few days.
After waiting for the requested time I phoned again and the same gentleman agreed to refund me, informing me it would take 3 to 7 days.
After 7 days I have still not been refunded and have instructed my credit card company to charge back.
This company is not to be trusted, if you buy use your credit card for extra protection.
This is exactly how online shopping shouldn't be! A woeful experience!
After posting this review and requesting a chargeback, the retailer has now refunded my money! I still don't feel I can give them an extra star as I can't help but think they were up to no good by holding on to my money for so long.
