Just had a kitchen fitted by Betta Living this week. Salesman was very pushy, and surveyor managed to bump cost up a bit, but all in all seemed like we were getting a nice kitchen.
It it currently half finished, waiting for our own worktops to arrive, and i'm afraid i'm quite disappointed. Its a black kitchen, and i know the paperwork says the interior will be beech, but half the units have black edges and look good, but the other half, well more than half, have stripey brown edges and looks absolutely awful and completely ruins the look of the kitchen. Putting black edging over the other units would not be difficult and would make them look immensely better. Hopefully the fitters can do something to help
Overall, stand your ground against pushy salesmen and know what you want and you can get yourself a not half bad kitchen for a reasonable price
We were very happy with the overall wardrobe fitting experience. John from Sales gave us a lot of options and combinations to choose from and Michael was very professional in his fitting and the job was done to a very high standard.
Everyone - from our initial telephone request for a quotation to the follow-up call to check that the installation had gone well - gave us great service. The quality of the fitted wardrobes and bedside cabinets is excellent. Out fitter was a star and left everything clean and tidy when he had finished.
The salesman visited us on 13th March and he said if we agreed to the kitchen before he left it would be fitted within 3 weeks.
So we agreed and kitchen was due to be fitted the first week of April.
Or so we thought, as we had a phone call at the end of march saying it would not be ready until the middle of April.
A few days later they called us again saying that it would now be the end of April as the cupboards were still being made.
The kitchen units are now being delivered tomorrow and we were told we would recieve a call the day before to confirm a time.
We did recieve a call but not to confirm a time, as that is dealt with by another department but infact to advice us the cooker splashback will not be available until the end of May.
The fitters will be here on 7th may.
I feel like I have been conned!
The reason is if the service is this bad now what will it be like after the kitchen is fitted?
Called into Betta Living without really knowing much about them. Very impressed from start to finish with showroom staff, surveyors, delivery arrangements, & fitters (Carl & Harry). Fitters were particularly great and any initial concerns about workmen in home and associated hassles etc were soon dispelled. They were courteous, professional & able to make suggestions (due to their evident experience) that enhanced the overall finish. Kitchen looks stunning & exceptional quality. Would definitely recommend.

The whole experience was very, very good. The installation team were superb and even pointed out small faults and ordered replacement parts. The quality of the units are superb.

From the moment we decided to change our bedroom to fitting went so smoothly. We initially made an appointment with the young lady manning the stand in County Mall Crawley. An appointment was made with the sales gentleman that evening! He was very professional and explained the whole process should we go ahead with the purchase. An order was made, the next step was the surveyor - again another nice gentleman. It wasn't long before we had the call to say our furniture was ready to be installed. The fitter was really good, very quick and both evenings left the room clean and tidy. It did only take two days to fit, thoroughly checked over by my husband who luckily could not find a fault at all. The standard of the furniture is first class, would definitely recommend Betta Living to anyone. Nearly forgot - we also received £150 worth of Kylie bedding - it looks amazing on our bed. WAW that's all I can say waw... its gorgeous what's been done, iv had 4 bedrooms done which took the fitter 2 full days to complete and in that its self is amazing.. The end result really is out this world. my friends come over and are all gob smacked on how nice my bedrooms all look.. From start to finish Betterliving is just brill. Would I recommend YES I WOULD..

The Sales process with the designer visiting our home and us agreeing the design was painless, the installer arriving and completing the project on time was great. Its just a real shame that the aftersales team don't have the same enthusiasm, which has left a sour taste. We would think twice about recommending Betta Living to our friends and family or indeed having further work undertaken.
Every aspect of dealing with the Betta Living employees, from consultant through to fitter, was easy and hassle free.
The finished product is exactly what we hoped for and we are absolutely delighted with our new fitted bedroom.

The initial sales quote dragged on a bit but everything was taken care of without any worries and wardrobes and fitter turned up when they said they would. There were no unexpected or unwelcome surprises. This was my third order with Betta Living and the third time I have been 100 per cent pleased. Thank you Betta Living for peace of mind.
The designer took about three hours to measure and draw up the plans. He suggested a different configuration to maximise space which we had not considered, great job.
Everything proceeded smoothly and the bedroom was delivered within the timescale we had been promised.
The fitter who was allocated to us was John Dunn and we couldn't have wished for better. He was superb and paid so much attention to detail, he definitely went the extra mile to ensure he perfected everything and to make sure we were happy with the result.
We also have to thank Don, the installation manager. There had to be a small alteration to the original design and he coordinated the new pieces required and ensured they were delivered on time.
We finished up with a bedroom to be proud of and would not hesitate in recommending
Betta Living to anyone.

Then I received an email to choose £250.00 worth of designer Kylie bedding, which was also delivered promptly. Would never go any where else other than Betta Living :)
Our kitchen was installed in three days by polite and very efficient workers. They did not stop even for lunch but worked as they snacked. I would recommend BettA living to all my friends if they want a well designed moderately priced kitchen.
Very bad experience decided to have new kitchen and wardrobe
After 6 hrs the man said sign the papers when I said ok let me sleep over it I'll do it 2arrow,he got aggressive in front of my family.My daughter 9 years old was really sad to see this and us lot was shocked too to see how can this man be working for company betta living or the company is no good

Jo Poole the designer was lovely and bubbly and helpful - Leigh the surveyor was very thorough and professional,, and especially the fitter Stuart Coleman really impressed me, I have never met anyone who works so hard, he hardly even stopped for a cup of tea and was really friendly and courteous throughout the whole experience. A real life Duracell bunny!
These are quite expensive cupboards, but they look fantastic and come with 15 year's guarantee too.
I received a phone call to book in a design visit and the person took some details. She asked if I owned my home, and I said no. She said she couldn't give us a quote as I was not a home owner. I asked why and she said it was because of the price! I tried explaining that I needed the quote for the furniture as I was in the process of buying the property and needed to know how much I needed to add on to the mortgage and she said you still cant have a quote until your a homeowner!
It annoyed me and I decided to go to the local branch. The manager came out and explained that they don't give quotes to tenants as the landlord might not like them and rip them out. He said he'd ask the designer to come round and give me a quote.
The designer never showed up. I went into branch again as I needed bathroom, kitchen and bedroom doing and told them the person didn't turn up. They arranged another visit. We had a phone call the day after and the person told us that we couldn't have the visit that we asked for as they weren't available then. The designer was rude and basically said there was no point in her coming out and giving a quote as weren't going to buy the furniture! She said the average cost was between 4-8k wasn't that enough information?
Wouldn't buy from them now even if it 90% off!
I just had a fitted wardrobe put in today 4/4/13 and I am very happy.
Richard (salesman) and Lee (surveyor) was very polite, friendly and outgoing richard didn't pressurise us to buy anything and both were very helpful.
Mark and Alan (fitters) were very good at there job and had the work done within a few hours they kept the room tidy after wards.
I would highly recommend them for future work if I ever needed any other fitted bedroom furniture I know where to go now :)
We had 5 bedrooms done by betta living.
Salesman was very helpful, no pressure sale technique. And we had the price we wanted!
Surveyor gave us loads of good advice on the finer details.
Delivery was on time and the call centre staff were always friendly.
Joiner was very efficient, punctuate and tidy.
Was slightly worried by reading some negative reviews. But, our experience with betta living has been 5 star!

From the first visit to the local betta living show room I had high expectations of the service and standard of work that I wanted to receive, and I was not disappointed.
The planning visit was about 2 hours but worth it as he advised us of what would work in our room and we worked together to get a design we were happy with.
Delivery and survey were just as efficient, the delivery men even put dust sheets throughout our home which I was impressed with.
John Dunn was our fitter and I have to say that he surpassed my expectations, highly professional and the standard of his workmanship was exceptional.He cleared up after himself at the end of day one and then at the end of the job ensured that I was happy with his cleanliness. I wish to take this opportunity of thanking him again we love our new bedroom thank you so very much. Rest assured that as soon as we can we will have betta living and our fitter John back to do the other bedrooms .
very professional fitters who new what they were doing also cleaned upafter themselves the only thing i would say is we were told it would take 3 days by the sales team and when asked the fiters it was 5 days which it took 5 days
We recently had a bedroom fitted and the service we received was good. After reading bad comments i can say from the initial contact in the showroom right threw to the fitter him self - Patrick Coleman, the service we received was very good. I was a little worried when the items never arrived on the day anticipated, but this was solved with one call to the delivery company and they were there as promised by 7.30am the next day.
The fitter himself was very friendly, worked hard and ensured we got the spec and finish we required. I would recommend Betta Living for bedrooms.

Great service from beginning to end. We bought fitted wardrobes and are more than pleased with quality and value for money. From our first visit to the showroom right through to the completed product all staff were courteous friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
They' were very good and left us in no dought of what was happening and the dates which they were to be completed they even waited longer than the original date set for fitting as we were not ready. on completion the finished product was very good we would recommend the company to others.
I did a lot of research before deciding on Betta Living. Mine was not a 'massive' order - just wardrobes to go around a corner. Despite the size of the order the treatment of it was first class in all departments. From Polly at the Stafford showroom (and her colleague who was visiting from the Chester Branch), Beki, the advisor/designer who visited my home on two occasions as I changed the design, the staff at the Cannock showroom, who showed me the full Porto Fino range (Stafford is only a small showroom in comparison), Dave the surveyor, the 2 chaps who delivered my order and Martin the fitter. All of them were brilliant. Martin did the fitting by himself in a full day and a couple of hours on a second day just to finish the 'fancy bits'. He worked non-stop on the full day and was courteous and considerate (especially to my wheelchair bound husband). He was concerned about us as he had to go over to a second day but he didn't want to rush the 'last leg'. He kept the noise and disruption to an absolute minimum and cleaned everywhere before he left. I was contacted by the company a few days after the job was completed, just to see if everything was ok, Another personal touch that was much appreciated. I would most certainly recommend Betta Living to anyone - especially if they were unsure about what they want, because the advise and help I had was brilliant.

Am still in shock at how bad these guys are. Called up on Saturday to arrange a home visit, gentleman on the phone didn't seem all that interested but let it slide, it was a Saturday and maybe he was busy. Was given the option of two time slots - 1400 or 1700 next day.
We asked for 1400 and were told someone would contact me via phone one more time to confirm everything. Gave details and rearranged weekend to make sure we'd be in. Was told to agree on the phone that the designer was more than happy to stay as long as was needed. Thought that was a bit weird and only realize now, after reading the other reviews he would have been here for 3 hours to make a sale rather than consult.
1400 came and went, no one had called. Waited until 1420 and called back, very pleasant and helpful woman on the phone (massive difference compared to the lad yesterday) took my details (again) and said she'd get back to me and would find out what happened.
Got a call a few mins later from someone in the Manchester branch closest to us, told that the appointment was for 5. He sounded worse than the first man we spoke to! Rude and slightly obnoxious. Obviously didn't care. Came onto here to find out more about the company, feel like we've missed a bullet.

From the minute I went in to showroom room at Rotherham I knew I had found the bedroom suite I liked, there was no expertise in the showroom it was just about getting you booked in as every question I asked they could not answer it was all about speaking to the person who was coming out to my home. First guy came out planned it gave us price and it was all wrong, thank god for the surveyor who came next another 2 hour appt (never explained it would be this long) but he sorted it and now I have a bedroom that I love! Service needs to be too priority I think there showroom staff seem or pretend to no nothing and the sales man who comes out suggest's things you can't have!! And the Kylie bedding giveaway well!!! Took 6 phone calls and 3 weeks to get my discount code!... You can't fault the furniture or the fitter but service rubbish... I'd hate to have a problem because I don't think it would get sorted quick.
