The itinerary of both the City Loop and the Beach Loop are beautiful. It makes it quite useful to get to any attraction you might be interested in visiting. Would I take this tour again or recommend it? NO. The reason is that not all the tour guides are good. The first tour guide we got on the City Loop was awesome!!! I think his name was Kevin but can't recall for sure. In retrospect, I wish we would have stayed on his tour for a full loop instead of hopping off to visit Vizcaya because when we hopped back on, things got from bad to worst. The second guide was mediocre. She seemed more interested in cars and dealership than in culture, history and other interesting information we look for when taking a guided tour. We later hopped on the Beach Loop - we had been looking forward to that one all day! Well, since it was the last tour of the day and that most people on the bus were just returning to their hotel, the guide decided it wasn't necessary to give a guided tour. She gave us headphones and told us to listen to the pre-programmed tour. What!?! That's not what we expected from a tour. We tried to ask her questions but we seemed to know more than she did! Also, she kept asking us what we were looking to do in South Beach and telling us that the "next" stop was a good stop were we could get off. We felt like all she wanted was to get rid of us asap. We have taken Hop-on, Hop-off tours often in New York city and keep taken them because it's so useful to get around and the tour guides are so full of information and entertaining. This tour however was disappointing. It is so easy to get around in Miami with the free trolleys and free Metromovers, I would not take this tour again. Unless we were assured that our tour guide was as good as out first one!
city tour okay - guide got his facts mixed up frequently! beach tour - NO BEACH - it sucked. Stuck in a lot of traffic, past store after store. we've been on many bus sightseeing tours - this rates poorly. water tour - well done and best by far
It´s not so easy to visit this city without car. When my friend went to visit me I decide to use Big Bus Tour to show her and to see myself this city. And we loved it. It´s very good idea to see Miami. To stop where you want, to visit places, to eat with very good weather of course. Wonderful guides!!!! Very nice and helpful. I don´t have any critic. Maybe one suggestion: the audio guide for Polish tourist:) Thanks!!! and I will repeat this experience certainly!!!
The history narative on the ear-buds was very informative, if somewhat out of sinc with the surroundings, but unless you were seated on the upper deck, it was impossible to see anything from the partially shaded, closed, street level windows. This crew was uninterested in the passengers and seemed as if they would rather be anywhere else. Safety did not seem to be any concern, as the vehicle was in poor condition and the driver often started moving while passengers were still standing or climbing the stairs. Organization was completely missing and the crew could not provide helpful answers to questions relating to luggage transfer, shuttle schedule, etc. I would not recommend this tour to anybody.
Good length boat ride around Biscayne Bay in Miami, FL. Stay on the main deck outside for better pictures. If you use a power wheelchair, be ready to transfer onto a manual one so they can get you down to the boat. Super friendly staff! I love them!
Normally, I am not a big fan of bus tours but given the traffic in Miami and the shortage of parking, this one is worthwhile. You can see anything you want at whatever pace suits you. If you are taking the boat cruise, use the smaller boat that is beside the Big Bus kiosk. I'm glad I took this tour - they do a great job.
