We feel as though we saw Miami and Miami Beach at least as well as we had hoped with the 2-day tour. The stops suited us well, and there weren't long intervals waiting. BigBus appeared to be more popular and better than alternatives and we would do it again.
A great way to see the city of Miami, both on the Miami Beach side and on the bay side. These tours in two main circuits meet in the center of town and allow you to hop on and off as desired in 30 minute intervals. During the rides you get a great view from the upper deck of the bus and can see more than when just walking around. The guides are nice and give good tips and background infos on the areas you pass. It is a well worth experience if visiting for several days and wanting to get started off with a good overview of the city, before focussing on certain areas.
My boyfriend and I paid 39 dollars each to do the south beach tour and then the city bus tour. It was supposedly one tour but you had to change bus in between both. So we did the south beach tour, got off bus and hopped on city bus tour where we were told that if we did the city tour by the time the bus arrived back we would then miss the Bigbus back to Miami beach because they would have stopped running. Therefore they sold us a ticket knowing full well we wouldn't be able to get back to where we started. I was so angry with them, how dare they sell us a ticket that we are unable to use because it would mean we would be left stranded. I spoke to a supervisor and she rightly gave us part refund but the fact that they sold us the tickets in the first place was just wrong and says a lot about the company and the people they employ.
Very helpful and very entertaining. Willie Garcia and Perry Narcisse of Big Bus Tours made our trip very enjoyable. One member of my party uses a mobility aid to get around and each of these men and the other Big Bus staff were very helpful and very nice to our family from the Port of Miami until the airport transfer. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour! We were able to see a lot of the city because of the Big Bus staff. Thanks again Willie and Perry and the Big Bus staff!
We had a great time. The day was a little rainy but other than that the tour guides were phenomenal and the timing of the whole trip was just right for us. Just make sure if you are on a tight schedule to time yourself properly because if you are trying to get out of South Beach at rush hour ( the last trip out of there) you may have some traffic delays back to the main terminal. Great service and very friendly staff.
This tour is the best in town! We had never been to Miami before to stay and this experience really showed us the sites. We would definitely do this one again!! I recommend the 48hr pass for first timers..
Reservation was facile. A boarding point was available 200 metres from our hotel. Entry was hassle free and we did the beach tour and the city tour back to back. The executives on the bus and the city centre were cordial and gave information which made our tour comfortable. In the afternoon when we wanted to add a boat tour, an executive was at hand to issue the ticket. The boat ride and the city tour were the most enjoyable. We took the last beach tour bus to our hotel. All in all, we had the feeling that our money was well spent.
We really enjoyed both routes on Big Bus but if you have limited time go for the Miami Beach loop. This does not use ear-phones to pass on information, but a real person. Both of the guides we had were brilliant! We also added a boat trip and saw Miami at night. Even a drop of rain couldn't spoil seeing the buildings lit up along the shoreline. Everyone involved with the Big Bus trips - drivers, helpers, guides - were all very professional and made the trips a fantastic and memorable experience. Thank you, Big Bus!!
we stayed in downtown Miami and found it difficult to find a place to enter the bus. We entirely missed the beach tour as we had to walk a long way to the difficult to find start point, and when we found it the last bus drove away for our eyes..so we found the 80 $ was a bit a waste for us.
To get a first look of Miami, Big Bus Tours is great. We did the 3in1 thing, where you get to do both tours and can go on a boat ride too. The city tour (red) and the boat were amazing. Both times the guides were very nice and answered all the questions. On the boat they even let you be capatain for a minute or so. Later we wanted to do the Miami Beach tour too and had high expectations because of the first two being so good. Sadly we got a bit disappointed. Our guide did not seem very interested in telling us anything about Miami Beach, the Bus had technical problems and couldn't start twice and also there either was something wrong with the microphone or the guide just didn't care that no one understood a word he was saying - the only thing we did hear was wind noise. Overall I'd say that BigBus Tours is great, just hope to get lucky with your guides and you'll have an awesome time.
We planned one entire day just for the big bus tour and it was great. The bus was on time, the staff very friendly, helpful and fun. even after we lost our tickets on the Causeway they were really helpful and replaced the tickets immediately without any problems. I would recommend this well organized and interesting tour to anybody but plan enough time since you can hop off wherever you d like to spend some more time in the places you are really interested. Bring enough water, a hat and sunscreen for the ultimate experience. Thank you Hudson and co. :)
