Poor Customer Service/Equipment

We moved back to BT internet and I really wish we hadn't. The rooter is (Home Hub 3) doesn't work with printers and other devices on our home network. We spent an age on the phone with BT's unhelpful customer service, spoke to a supervisor and then got fobbed off with a service which they charge for to try and fix their faulty product. Everything was working fine before this heap of junk turned up and now it's not and according to the internet we're not the only ones with this problem. My partner's an IT manager for a living, so we'd tried all the usual checks before. BT's not the company it once was. They insist that they won't guarantee wireless signal for the home network, but their swanky adverts suggest otherwise, without a wire in sight.
