Chose flights, paid for them within two minutes and a message appeared saying my order had failed and I had to contact them in the morning on a phone call that costs 10p per minute and you are kept on hold for ages.
Staff told me that flights were available and I was booked on my chosen flight. Shortly after I received an email demanding more money. Had to call back at 10p per minute and was told the flights were only available at a higher price. I gave them the opportunity to find alternatives and they failed. As I needed to travel urgently, i looked on lastminute.com and got the same flights that budgetair could not provide and i paid £200 less than I had initially paid budgetair.

Their staff are useless and I was told I could not speak to a line manager as they would not be able to do anymore and also they were too busy to speak to me.
The company fails to realise that when they took my money we entered into a contract. As such they are totally in breach of contract for advertising a product for sale, taking my money and then not providing what I paid for.

Please keep away from this company. They run a business with total disregard of good customer service.

I received a phone call from Mr Kenny Marcelus, supervisor at budgetair. He was very apologetic about what happened. He has personally reassured me that I should contact him in future to book my travel requirements. As he was sincere, I will certainly give budgetair a chance in the future. Will post my experience, positive or negative, when I next use their services.

I AM DISGUSTED

Just at the very end of the transaction, this message appears:
"During the booking process it appears that in the time between between processing payment and confirming the order, the product in the shopping cart was unfortunately no longer available. We have received your payment, but have not been able to complete your booking."

It has asked me to contact customer service "immediately" but I cannot do so until the lines open again at 8am. I then tried calling my bank to cancel the transaction but there's nothing they can do, so now I have lost over £2000 and have to wait until 8am to find out what I can do about this.

I looked at these flights yesterday and they've already gone up £400 in the space of 24 hours, I needed to buy these flights now before the price goes up yet again. I am absolutely disgusted that they think it is acceptable to take my money for flights that were NOT THERE.
This is the very last thing that I need, booking flights is stressful enough when they're this expensive, I DO NOT NEED yet MORE stress.

Stay away as far as I'm concerned, taking my money for flights that aren't there sounds downright illegal to me.

Easy booking, very professional, highly recommend!

Booked my first family holiday flight with Budget airline after reading positive reviews. As first time booking online 6 tickets and I was nervous. However after booking within few hours got all the invoice and e tickets. I doubled check with qatr and all was confirmed. Was so excited and happy! I did make a little error which was resolved immidietely through the companys excellent communication. Thank you Alex! No problems at all

Just booked a flight to Nassau,no problems whatsoever,saved about £40 and my E-Ticket was sent through about 30 minutes later.

I have less than 12 hours for my flight and still did not get my ticket // EDIT: THE ISSUE RESOLVED.

I booked a flight and they sent me the confirmation asap but not the e-ticket. I have less than 12 hours for the flight and a guy on call center told me that he would send me a link for paying for extra costs but he did not. I am trying to reach somebody on call center and "all agents are always occupied!" If they tell me SOMETHING, I am gonna book another flight but they just don't say anything CERTAIN.

I don't even know if they are gonna refund me if I cannot make the flight. Stay away!!

EDIT: They apologized for the inconvenience, told that the ticket price increased but that they would be paying for the additional cost (ALTHOUGH the possibility of incurring of additional costs are written in the Terms & Conditions and I had agreed to pay for extra costs) as an apology. So, we just got the e-ticket, made our reservation, the issue is totally resolved and we actually saved more than 50%. DO NOT STAY AWAY :))

Messed up my booking and would not take responsibility

Booking involved a change of planes and had to be changed after the first flight was moved to a later time. Fair enough. I called them and was told that as long as I paid an extra £17 THAT DAY I would be moved to another flight. I did this by telephone, but they obviously failed to confirm the ticket with the airline. When the price subsequently increased, they refused to admit their mistake and LIED to me saying the flight had been cancelled by the airline when in fact it was budget air who failed to confirm the ticket with the airline. Having to rebook at the higher price (with another agency) has left me £150 out of pocket (assuming I ever see the promised refund) but budget air don't care at all. In fact, they have told me it will take 8 WEEKS to get a refund of the monies I have already paid them - I just hope they are around long enough to refund me!

In summary, this company absolutely refuse to rectify their mistakes so I would not recommend them to anyone.

Issue with a code for £15

As others complaint here, I have a promo code from my last booking which I tried to redeem and it did not happen. I emailed the company a few days ago and no reply as yet. I have not completed the booking yet waiting for the reply. Hopefully it will arrive before my ticket's price increases.

I am greatly distressed right now because the Budgetair company has taken money out of the University account without us confirming the booking. There was a payment problem on 19/04/2013 with the University card, after realising it was not possible for the university to proceed with the payment, we did not confirm (we called Budgetair to talk about it at the time, they were aware of the problem). I received an email saying that if I did not confirm on the 19th, the booking would be lost, so we did nothing.

Now today I received a confirmation from the company as if my ticket was still booked, and this scared me because in the mean-time I already booked another ticket and paid for it!
It seems they took the money from the University account without authorisation, and also without us sending some papers that were supposed to be necessary to book with a credit card from a different person than the passenger. I am truly devastated because I do not have the money to pay for this ticket, I already paid mine, and it makes me look pretty bad towards the University funding my research trip.

The University's Finance department phoned them, and supposedly the person in charge of our account is not there until Friday, so we have to call then. It seems like an awful lot of time before I can be certain that this mistake is rectified! And reading other comments I am now afraid that they are trying to gain time by leading us away.
I realised also that Friday would be one week after the attempted booking took place, is that a deadline for us to complain?

I hope BudgetAir is going to do something about this unacceptable issue very quickly, this is not my money I have lost, but it is even worse!

what's taking so long for my E-Ticket?

I bought online 10 hours ago and I only got the booking confirmation. When do I get my E-ticket? I believe that online is faster, a matter of seconds and e-ticket is being sent.

Deal of the Century

I went through wego search engine to find some flight options for Syd-Phuket, Budget Air Uk came in by far the cheapest, in fact I thought this was too good to be true, surely I couldnt save this amount. I went on the Qantas website, and for the exact same flight it was around $300.00 per person more expensive. I thought I would sleep on it and check the next day the flights as I thought no this has to be a mistake, went on the next day and to my amazement the same price was there, so I thought I would do some internet research on the company. I went on Trip Advisor and there were some negatives and positives, however it kept on coming back it was a legit company. I then came upon trust pilot, and thought okay well it seems like it is a legit company. I thought worst case situation when booking the flights it would come back as pricing has changed, and they would charge me for the flights, and I would be forced to take the more expensive option, or going through the hassle of getting my money back.

After all weekend thinking about what to do, I thought just go for it. I must admit I was so nervous booking the flights, it went through all good, got a confirmation order that pricing had gone through, then the anxious wait of the etickets, and to my joy there they were around about 40 minutes later, even checked with Qantas website and my details are in the system. One thing though as I expected this might happened to my credit card to the bank's credit for doing this ,I received an email adivising of suspicous activity and they had put a suspension on my credit card, so just be prepared for this. I just rang up my bank to say it was okay and it was lifted. Now one thing I read in the trip advisors forum and it is so true, so many more people will go out of their way to write a negative review of a company these days, than writing a positive review - hence my reason for going out of my way to write this. These days you do have to be so careful of shonky companies, I just want to say that I am not one of those fake reviewers - if you are unsure of it being a legit company still, just google reviews of the company. I just hope that I can give some people out there some peace of mind with it being a legit company, and the prices are genuine. Rachael Martin - Sydney Australia

Only responded to our claim after we posted a bad review on this website!

Here is some feedback on our experience of BudgetAir who we used to book flights to South Africa. To cut a long story short, they failed to inform us of a 24 hour change to Lufthansa's flight schedule which meant that we turned up at Manchester Airport on 28th December to be told at Check-In that we were not due to fly until 24 hours later on 29th December. After contacting BudgetAir they promised to re-imburse us for the wasted taxi journeys as well as the money we incurred re-booking an internal flight in South Africa. We have also requested some compensation for the 1 day we lost on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. Over 3 months later and after countless email exchanges and several phone calls, we have still not got a proper answer from them as to when we will receive this money and how much it will be. The last contact I had was last Thursday 4th April when I was put on hold for 15 minutes whilst attempting to speak to Kenny Marcelo, after which I was then told that Kenny was busy and would call me back in 5 minutes....I am still waiting for that phone call! At least 5 times now they have failed to contact us when promised.This is appalling customer service and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone! We obviously chose to book with BudgetAir because Skyscanner highlighted them as being the cheapest, however after all the time and money we have spent dealing with their incompetence, I just now wish we had booked with one of the other companies.
14/04/2013 UPDATE: After posting this review on TrustPilot, Kenny responded quickly to our claim and the agreed sum is now finally in my bank account. I have therefore updated the rating from 1 star to 2 star.

the vacation was perfect but the flight - it was supposed to be Lufthansa quality

we are finally back from our New York Holiday after a nightmare round trip, where we booked with BUGET AIR for a Lufthansa Flight and we found out to be flying United Airlines on a really small and ugly plain for 8 hrs with the cheapest quality you can imagine: we flight separated on the way to go in our first trip outside Europe as a couple, the system online was not working when we tried to check in and the cabin crew was not able to help so we had to flight separated for 8 HRS and 30 mins, squeezed in the central row seats.

On the return we could flight together but again on a really small and cheap plain for 8 hrs. We'd like to ask for a reimbursement as we bought Lufthansa quality and we had to travel American United, a completely different level: really similar to Ryanair, we would have never bought something similar or an intercontinental round trip.

Adding a few details: cabin crew and check in ground assistant very rude and unfriendly, we'll never fly with them again, the vacation was perfect but the flight :(

Honest Bargain Brilliance with Budget!

You really must book your next trip through BudgetAir. Not only were they the cheapest flight that I could find, but it was so quick and easy with no hidden extras - Simplicity in itself especially as we all lead such busy lives and just don't have the time for trawling through supposed cheap websites thatwhen you ring them say that they don't have the availability. None of that with Budgetair. They are saved in my favourites and I'll use them everytime I need to fly.
