Excellent service
Was searchng the internet for a Scottish Gift for sending abroad. Came accross BUYAKILT.COM website and found the perfect gift at a very reasonable price. It was eay to order and when i phoned to enquire about delivery i received excellent service. My goods arrived very quickly and i was very pleased with the quality of the item and teh packaging. Would have no hesitation in using this company again.

Great service
Quality product (deluxe), ordered one morning and it was here next day with easy online tracking. Slight niggle with inner hem on left side, as s.o. else mentions, but nowt that can't be sorted, given the price for an 8yd. Could achieve total perfection by offering a slightly shorter drop for those of us who don't conform to BS height standards and can't run to a made-to-measure, but that's for another day. Quick & helpful with query, and lots of handy info on the website. Reckoned I needed a 40" after measuring according to the recs, but have to wear it on the tightest belt settings - but that's just an added incentive to buy another one!

Kilty, kilty, cold bum
I'v been wanting to say that to my husband for years and he finally agreed to me buying him a kilt to accompany his bagpipe playing. 'Buy a kilt' were truly amazing the level of customer service can not be faulted. Rachel was really quick in answering my questions and tried so hard to source a particular tartan at a reasonable price. She suggested options and I was so pleased that I took her up on one of those as the resulting kilt is great. The colours of the cloth are vibrant and the construction can not be faulted. My only slight concern is that I've probably measured my husband at his largest size and now he plans to lose weight. The buckles already do up on the smallest notch so there's little room for shrinkage. I'll have to keep feeding him lots of pies so he gets maximum use of the kilt.

Brilliant , quick and efficient and very helpful
Stay in spain and my sons school prom coming up he decided as very Scottish he wanted to wear a kilt couldn't hire one here so decided to buy him one checked out a few sites but decided to go with this one glad I did they were great kept me posted on my order were really quick even though I made a mistake on the order they emailed me straight away and we still had a very good quality kilt outfit in 3 days excellent service and value for money xx thinking about buying my husband one now xx

When you don't know what your doing, this company makes it easy to buy a Kilt with confidence at a reasonable price
I can only say positive things about my buying experience. After waiting 20 years to buy a Kilt and having no idea how to go about it. The site explained everything you needed to know. You also have immediate communication to Rachel with any questions or problems you need resolving. Overall it was a very good buying experience

Excellent value and quality but one flaw
The kilt is great value and quality. But there was a problem in that the inner hem at the front had been mis-stitched and when wrapped round hung down. Nothing I could not fix (about one inch to unpick and re-stitch). I did not feel it worth all the effort of returning.
Perhaps a wee bit more quality control , especially at the front of the kilt. But for the money is is great. Much better than I expected. Would have given full stars otherwise.

I needed a kilt for my 10 year old's school project and did not want to spend a fortune. I needed it within 2 weeks. Little did I know both were an issue when ordering kilts. They are handmade - read cost a fortune & time. I was about to give up when I found this website. I purchased the kilt and accessories and they arrived within less than a week. They are really nice quality! Much better than I had expected. My son and I are thrilled.

Having seen the kilt belt that I purchased, which is perfectly serviceable and exactly the size I needed, I think that on a future occasion I might opt for a better-quality but more expensive belt.
In a separate email conversation, you kindly explained that your quoted sizes are for the required waist size measured externally around the kilt as worn, i.e. this included the allowance for the extra length of the kilt belt buckle and hook. But I think you should explain that more clearly on your website.

5 star on customer service and exellent on delivery time
I found the web site by chance whilst looking fora kilt belt and regimental buckle.In about thrity seconds I was informed that what I was looking for was in stock and would be delivered as soon as possible, and that turned out to be the next day.I would recommed this company to al my friends that are thinking of purchasing any accessorys relating to the kilt.

Very impressed with ease of ordering as well as being kept informed every step of the way by email regarding delivery, which was surprisingly prompt. So far am over the moon with quality and look of garments, will be able to give further review once I've washed them but so far absolutely chuffed to bits and would definitely order from you again as well as recommending to a friend. My son is wearing his to 6th year prom next month so you may well have a surge in orders once he tells all his mates where he got it and what good value it is.

Prompt delivery of a good bonnet at a reasonable price
The standard bonnet is much cheaper than a military specification bonnet and seems as good as the one I've been using for 40 years. New one needed for my son!
I was thrown by the Mastercard entry buya* and challenged it. It took some time to recognise this as buyakilt! Suggest you amend the credit card ref in future.

Being Dutch, I know a lot about windmills, wooden shoes and tulips. Buying a kilt is somewhat out of my comfort zone. I was looking for a kilt for my 77-year-old dad who will wear it on a special occasion.
Fortunately I found buyakilt.com and I am very, very pleased with my purchases. The kilt and the rest of the outfit I ordered are of a very good quality, I never expected to get something this good for such a low price!

Perfect and smart
My husband bought the Budget Grey Tweed Kilt Outfit and looks incredibly smart. I love the quality of the wool jacket. And although the kilt is made of polyciscose it looks beautiful, is smart, heavy but comfortable and looks beautifully made, it doesn't look cheap! it will be used for a wedding we have been invited in Austria, and everybody will be wearing their lederhosen, bus as my hubby is a true Scotsman, he won't be seen in anything other than a kilt in a party as formal and traditional as this one. Purchase was easy to do over their website and delivery took only a couple of weeks. The service was excellent!

Quick delivery and good value for money
I bought the budget prince charlie outfit from this company. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to have a formal kilt outfit, but isn't willing (or able) to pay the usual £500+ prive tag for a real kilt. The quality is very good, considering the price, and the kilt, while not being completely genuine, is easily good enough to pass muster. One thing to watch out for is that there is only one kilt length available, so if this doesn't fit, I believe you would need to have it altered.
Delivery time was exceptionally fast. My order was placed at the weekend and I had the package by Tuesday.
In short, a very good balance between affordable price, good quality and speed of delivery. Recommended.

Good people to buy from
I've ordered from Buy-a-Kilt several times and have always found their service to be excellent. As a relatively small company they are much more flexible and responsive than some larger Internet retailers. They ship what they say that they are going to ship, when they say that they will ship it. Delivery times have been good, even here in Australia.

Great Service!
Website is easy to use and very helpful when picking out the items you want. They have links to videos on how to use the various products for newcomers. Once an order is placed, the people running the company always communicate if something is going to be delayed and they get back to you right away if you have any questions. Very easy to work with. Even Better Than I Expected!
It took just three days between the e-mail that confirmed the dispatch and the arrival. AND I LIVE IN BRAZIL!!! THREE DAYS!!!! But what surprised me the most is the quality of the products. I bought the casual kilt outfit (kilt, belt, buckle, ghillie shirt, brogues, hose, flashes, waistcoat and sgian dubh) and I didn't expect such an unbelievable quality for that price. I thought that a first-class kilt outfit would be way more expensive, but what I received is just perfect. I always wanted to visit Scotland, since I just love scottish culture. Quality jacket with speedy service
I purchased a kilt jacket on Sunday evening, Monday lunchtime it was collected by FedEx and delivered to my home in upstate NY on Tuesday afternoon - the kilt jacket is excellent - a wool barathea jacket for 120 pounds is wonderful value- it is well tailored. The administration at buyakilt kept me well informed of progress via emails. First class, couldn't have wished for a better jacket with better service.
