I bought a big bertha bean bag with a groupon voucher. I was informed that delivery would take 7 working days. 7 Working days later I got a mail telling me that my bag would be delivered between 10.30am and 1.00pm which it was. I was very impressed until I opened the box, there I found a plastic bag containing the cover for the bag and below it a large plastic bag full of the stuffing. I could not believe it, I was never told that I would have to stuff the bag myself. The instructions said that it was a two person job. Had I known this before hand I would never have bought it. As its a present for my ten year old I set about filling it because at that stage I had no choice but to get on with it. By the time I put the stuffing into the bag i realised that there is not nearly enough. It should have come with the same amount of stuffing again. If you sit on the bag you end up next to the ground because there is not nearly enough stuffing. I do hope someone from the company gets in touch and explains why so little stuffing is included. I can submit photos to show just how empty the bag it. I did not give it to my daughter as she would be very disappointed once she tries to sit on it. Can someone please advise me of what can be done to rectify this disappointing saga.
Bought the groupon voucher on the Basis there were 12 colour choices.. These magically disappeared when went to order and they car guarantee them coming back. Seems like a scam to get their old stock used and I'm not impressed! First time I've bought from groupon and won't be doing it again. Bybb also very unhelpful and in battle to get money back!
Ordered from Groupon and had no problems. The item is so cool and the delivery was very quick with no hassle. Iwould order from them again! I've either been lucky or the people who have review negatively may have been very unlucky!
I recently purchased a bean bag from this company. I received a voucher off groupon, and although the service may have been a tad slow the company were in touch with me and informed me of the reasons why it would take a little longer but the woman i spoke to was lovely! she sounded like she really cared about my problem! When i received my bean bag i was more than happy with my product!! It is a great bean bag and myself, friends and family really love relaxing on the bag! I will definitely be buying another bean bag off them soon for my christmas presents or birthday presents! i definitely recommend this company!!!!!
I ordered a bean bag using a groupon voucher a couple of months ago. Weeks flew past and I had heard nothing. I e-mailed them asking for an update and they said once the beanbag had been despatched I would receive tracking information. Last week I received an email from DPD saying my goods had been despatched however no sign of buyyourbeanbags.com company so I didn't have a clue which company the goods were being delivered from. The e-mail informed me of when the delivery date would be and if I would like to change the date. I then received an e-mail on the date for delivery saying the hour it would be delivered within. I tried to leave a comment to say leave in porch but DPD's website was terrible for that so I ended up leaving it. I got a phonecall from the driver at 10.33am but was at work so I texted him saying please leave goods in porch. He texted back saying ok and I went home on my lunch break to check and the boxes were there. I have not yet filled the beanbag however it looks good so far. They may quote you 4-6 weeks for delivery and it may have taken longer than that but I have received the goods now and I am extremely happy especially after reading poor reviews about this company. I will recommend this company. thank you for everything.
Ordered from groupon voucher, never saw them...over 8 weeks and nothing. Very poor customer service, never explained where my order was just left me waiting. Didn't call be back when I rang and generic responses to my mails.
AVOID this company. Better companies with better service and products out there.
I ordered from this company using a group on voucher, didn't realise until afterwards it could take up to 6 weeks for delivery. 6 weeks later despite numerous emails from me, I was still waiting for my bean bag. Each email I sent asking for an estimated dispatch date, was followed with the most unhelpful reply along the lines of, your beanbag will be dispatched in due course and you will receive a email advising of a delivery date. That's fine but it hardly answered my question. Cancelled my order in the end, though I had to go to group on for the voucher and them for the delivery fee. Went to a much better company and got next day delivery. Would NEVER use this company again. APPALLING!
Can't complain about the service. I moved recently and they delivered in time to my new address! The young lady on the phone was very nice and the emails were in a timely, professional manner. I work in customer service myself, so I should know! Beanbag is fantastic, very comfy and looks very nice in my new flat! Thank you buyyourbeanbag!
I wish I had found this website before I ordered from this awful company. As it stands I never leave bad reviews, however after waiting six weeks and being fobbed off with very poor customer service when I was told that each beanbag was handmade and that is why the time limit was so long, the beanbag eventually turned up and it transpired that it was a bag of beans and a mediocre beanbag cover. Really not worth the wait or the hassle I would advise you to shop elsewhere as the service is appauling and the product is poor.

I ordered a Big Bertha Bean bag through Groupon so I was not expecting to be amazed but I didn't expect as much hassle either.
- You have to fill out the bag yourself but the beans arrived in a very fragile plastic bag that has been damaged already. - On top of it, the tape to seal the delivery box got also glued to the plastic bag making it impossible to get out the beans without damaging it further. - The small gap in the bag itself make it very hard to poor the beans alone and requires 2 people. Even with too people it gets really messy - I order extra beans as I knew the original quantity will not be enough but even with extra beans, the bag still feels half empty - to add insult to injury, the small gap of the bag cannot be zipped fully and there is a 2cm hole that allow the beans to flow out whenever one uses it. This is due to the very poor finish as the fabric is sawn on top of the zip lines making it impossible to fully close. - I've been told that I have to send it on my own if I were to expect to change. Therefore, I had to use a stapler to plug to hole. - this is without mentioning the bad smell of chemical raised in a previews review...
I would not recommend buying this brand and would recommend investing into a higher quality competitor.
If you want an average to below average bean bag (a folded piece of fabric with no double zipper and a bag of beans) and terrible customer care then you may be fine with buyyourbeanbags but I regret ever ordering with them.
They give themselves a large window to fill orders of "up to 6 weeks" (and refuse to be any more precise than that) but you cannot count on them to fullfil your order even after 6 weeks. Thanks to groupon backing them repeatedly they greedily take more and more orders even though they cannot fill their existing orders. They won't even cut you a small refund once you've already paid them for your trouble, either.
we ordered 2 large bean bags via groupon on 5th march 2012, here we are in middle of may and still NO sign of bean bags. when i call to ask they tell me that i will recieve and email when they have them in stock, yet originally we were told it would take MAXIMUM of 6 weeks. Such a farce. Awful customer service and I will be taking this matter further. I have contacted watchdog, BBC and trading standards and I would advise anyone to stay WELL clear of this company and no pay them a PENNY of your hard earned money as they have no loyalty to customers
I ordered a beanbag through Groupon on 7th March 2012 and read in the T&C that it would be delivered within 3-6 weeks. When the item had not been received within that time I emailed the company and was told that it was ready to be dispatched but they couldn't tell me what date but that it would be with me within a couple of days. So, still no beanbag so I email them again and was told I should bear with them as they have a backlog but it should be with me in a couple of days. Here we are now 8 weeks down the line and I email them again to be told it should be with me in a couple of weeks.
Whilst all the above is totally unprofessional and outside their T&C the one real problem I have is that Groupon have since offered this 'deal' again while WWW.BUYYOURBEANBAGS.CO.UK have still not fulfilled their previous obligations.
I can see an email to Trading Standards and Watchdog coming on.
Assuming I will eventually get the item I ordered I will NEVER deal with Groupon or WWW.BUYYOURBEANBAGS.CO.UK ever again!!!
And one final gripe I have is with the original Groupon advert which said I would be able to choose from 14 different colours but when it came to me redeeming my voucher I only had a choice of 6 colours. I did email WWW.BUYYOURBEANBAGS.CO.UK about this but was fobbed off once again and told if I wanted a different colour it would take a little longer. The irony of the last sentence has at least made me smile.
If WWW.BUYYOURBEANBAGS.CO.UK would like to dispute any of the above comments in any way I would be happy to supply them with all the emails I have sent and recieved.
So, after buying a groupon for this bean bag you wait patiently for 6 weeks to receive word from the courier. 6 weeks arrive and still, no word. So you email buyyourbeanbags.co.uk. They inform you about a blunder they had with their supplier and apologise for not having informed you. They say the bean bag is now ready to be dispatched and is in a pile in their warehouse. There is no way of knowing where in the pile so they ask you to be patient for a few more days.
Fine, that's kind of believable. One week later, still nothing. So you email again and receive the exact same email. That's a little annoying. Let's call them.
You're greeted by someone who informs you that the beanbags won't be ready for another 2-3 weeks! Why? They haven't a clue. This is what the warehouse tells them. Can you speak to the warehouse. No, you can't.
So you ask to speak to a manager, because enough is enough. Oh, there aren't any in that day. Great, can I ask who owns this company as there isn't any of the legally required company details on their website. The phone people have no idea. They recommend you write an email for the attention of a manager. What is the name of this manager? Oh, they don't know. A very effective company. I guess ignorance is bliss.
4 days later you haven't received an email response from the managers.
I'm starting to think this whole company is just an elaborate scam.
My advice - don't buy from buyyourbeanbags.co.uk. Simple.
I have waited just under 8 weeks so far for two bags, bought through groupon, with the latest communication from the company stating that our bags were at the back of the warehouse awaiting dispatch. This was over 2 weeks ago and my emails since have not been acknowledged. My kids are meant to be getting these beanbags for their birthday in 9 days time and, having read these reviews I am so upset as I simply don't believe this company is going to get them to me. I was quoted a 6 week maximum delivery time...this will take us through to 3 months, should we get them at all.
What makes me furious is that the company held another groupon deal, weeks after taking my money, for the same product, and judging by the reviews I've been reading, they've had trouble with completing and distributing orders since January at least. What on earth has possessed them to carry on trading through Groupon in this way?
I can't begin to describe how upset I am that my children are facing an IOU from us for their birthday presents as we'll have nothing to give them and can't possibly afford to buy anything else, having forked out over £100 in purchase and delivery fees for these beanbags, which they've been desperate for for such a long time. I don't want a refund...I want our beanbags. Very, very sad and very disappointed.
I ordered through this company on 28th February. I enquired about my order on 2nd April as I had been told that the company guaranteed delivery within 4 weeks. The representative (who signs off as bybb!) told me that the order was fully processed for dispatch and I should get delivery information soon.
I wrote again 12th April as I hadnt ever recieved dispatch information. The reply stated that as far was they were aware it (the beanbag) had been delivered before easter! I was told in this email that they would arrange to send out another beanbag that week.
I asked to be sent delivery information once the item was dispatched, and the staff member said that there was an issue whereby a full batch of beanbags have been mislaid in transit. So here I am almost 8 weeks after ordering with no beanbag and no idea if I will ever really get one!
Ordered on a Groupon voucher 12 weeks ago. After 22 emails back and forth still no beanbag despite repeated promises from this company that it was 1) out of stock on the fabric 2)awaiting dispatch but there was a backlog 3)dispatched but don't know when where or how????? And silence ever since. Haven't answered last 2 emails and phone goes to answer phone so not even getting the rude person though I wish I could I could give then more than there moneys worth back. Was tempted to visit the company but instead passed it to family member who is barrister who has now contacted watchdog. Anyone reading this do not deal with these con merchants - or do so at your peril. Abominable service. Never had worse!
To be fair, I left a rather scathing review of buyyourbeanbags.co.uk here the other day (the reply is below). SInce then I have received an email to say that my beanbag is out for delivery, then one to say what day it would be delivered and even which hour.
The beanbag itself is quality, I really like it. I just wish that I wouldn't have had the delays but feel that this certainly isn't the norm and delivery is usually much quicker. All in all if I knew how long it would take for the beanbag to arrive and knew what i would be like when it arrived, I would order again. 4 stars which would have been 5 had the delivery been within the initial 6 week timescale.
