Cash money phone
i am new user, my old phone no use no more. i sending my phone to this company to get moeny for my shopping. I wait for 3 days and money come in my bank. i do shopping no more rubbish in my house. happy :)

I sent my phone into cash4phones coz they offered me the most amount of money for my fone, so i got my envolope seny my fone in and i got offered an amount for my fone but i wasnt happy so i spoke Sharran and they looked at my fone aagain and offered me the moeny owed :)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY RIP OFF!!!!!
As with most of the other reviews on this site, this company is a rip off they quote you a high price then send you an E mail quoting you a much lower price, & if you want your phone sent back they charge you £8.95!! I phoned them & was offered slightly higher,but nowhere near what it was worth. Learn by my mistake DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY cash 4 phones they're a complete rip off!!!!!!

Rip off merchants
After offering more than anyone else for my iphone 4 (£120) they then sent me a email to state that because of the condition and the fact there was a pin code on it they would only offer £45, and despite me making numerous attempts to contact them to have my handset returned, when I eventually managed it they said it was outside the 5 day period and the phone had been shipped on, I have complained a few times but all I receive is a automated. Do a google search for cash4phones and you will see a common theme!!! Don`t go near them. only a matter of time before there shutdown!

Reviews Read/ Phones Recycled? Different Experience!
Basically i read reviews, i took pictures and I even called them up to find out about price change and their returns process.
I sent my phone in special delivery, I called them when royal mail updated the website and they sent me a received email advising me to allow 24hours for processing. That was okay for me! I received and email with a lower price. I called and spoke to Piers who told me he will call back later that day after having another look at the handset for me.
He called me back offering me a closer price to my original offer which i accepted as my phone did have a crack on the back.
He tole me i will receive and email in a couple days about payment. i got that email maybe about 2 days or so later advising of a possible 10 day wait.
It did go over by 2 days but last friday my money was in my account!
Piers asked me to leave a review and now i am doing so as i have been paid. I will use them again but i have got my own experience now.

Avoid at all costs!
Had a good look around comparison sites for the best deal on 2 Blackberry's I wanted money for. Cash4Phones had the best deal from what I could see. I'm just annoyed that I didn't read some review sites before sending the phones off! Originally I was offered @ £80 for the two phones. When I hadn't heard anything back I logged on to the site and could see this had been reduced to @ £30 for the pair due to 'excessive wear'. This was ridiculous as I know they were in great condition. I wanted them returned and discovered they wanted nearly £10 to send each one back! (this is hidden deep in the small print) so I called customer services who then offered £50 for the pair which I accepted. 12 working days later no payment. Having again chased this up they have told me 3 more days, a full 10 days after the expected pay date. Absolute rip off merchants. Learn from my mistake and read reviews on companies before sending your phone away!

shambolic company who are out to rip you off!
I received an offer of £60.50 for my HTC desire HD, this was marginally the highest offer I received so I accepted it.
I posted the phone off in bubble wrap so that it was not damaged in transit. However, when Cash4phones received my phobe they sent me a revised offer of £24because of "excessive wear" This is impossible, the phone was in as new condition because it had been in a case with a screen protector for the full time I owned it. I have asked for a definition of excessive wear which was not provided and have been told that I will have to pay £8.95 to have my phone returned. This company are out to rip you off and will look to extort money from you if you reject their revised offer! Stay away from cash4phones and accept a slightly lower offer from a reputable company, it is not worth the hastle for the extra £1-£2.

BUNCH OF CROOKS
As with all the other dissatisfied people I am a WEAR&TEAR victim, sent my recently serviced HTC w/fire S in for a promised £28 and yes! due to W&T reduced to £11.20 or send £8.95 for return, it also had a case and all accessories with it, this blatant dishonesty must be stopped, a friend has sent in an unused upgrade phone he had to test them and LO' excessive wear&tear on a BRAND NEW phone! we don't need these vultures preying on us in this way, close them down.

High Offer - Reduced Payment - Beware of Cash4Phones
I had a used Blackberry 8520 in average condition and was looking for a good price for a recycle and Cash4Phones was the best £37.50 (Just by £1) - So i chose to use them.
I sent my phone off and a few days later i had an email saying that my phone had "Excessive Wear and Tear" and the offer had been reduced to £15.02 - Very strange considering im an office worker so just out of principal i thought i would rather get my phone back but then i got an email as follows:
"Please remember: There is a £8.95 charge for the return of your phone(s) when you reject a Counter-Offer. If you reject, we will cancel your order straight away and ask you to pay the return feewithin 12 days of our original Counter-Offer email. If the fee is not paid on time, we will assume you have changed your mind and continue to process your order."
So i thoughts its easier to just accept the reduced offer and move on, its the first time and 100% gauranteed the last time I will ever use this site, I have also told 5 people so hopefully just like network marketing this message will spread.
It also leads me to believe that if they do this to everyone (take a look at most of the reviews) they stand to make a lot of money.

Screen is immaculate!!!
They claim my phones screen was excessively scratched. The screen was as new when I sent the phone off, it still had the screen protector on from when the phone was manufactured (never removed). The phone was sent special delivery in a lot of bubble wrap. I have contacted them but they have not returned my call. Fuming!

Another unsatified customer!
Sent my phone off a week ago.
Got the envelope a week previously to this but my mum died so was a delay in sending it off. got email towards the end of that week from cash4phones reminding me to send my phone off ASAP to get the quoted price. I then posted it a few days later.
Check my account online after a few days only message was say that pack had been sent to customer, tried calling couple of times no answer and also emailed two days ago and had no response.
Which had used one of the more reliable company I had used in the past, don't be tempted by a couple of extra quid, the reviews speak for themselves. Value of phone was 48 pounds. Starting to think the good reviews on here are set ups by people who work in the company.

Absolute Con Artists Beware
Sent in my Ipad 16 Gb Wifi. Price quote £90.00 which was fine. Sent it recorded delivery well packaged.
Few days later heard nothing. Gave them a ring to be told it hadn't been received. Gave them tracking info to which they then decided it had been delivered. I was told somebody would ring me back on the evening once they had found out whats happened to it.
Received a call telling me my ipad was a fake as the serial number wasnt coming up on the system. Totally ridiculous. I bought this 1st generation Ipad from comet in 2010. I have had to pay £8.95 to get it back which I did by bank transfer. That was three days ago. My ipad has not turned up yet. I have a feeling it will be broken when it returns or even be somebody else's. something needs to be done about this firm and others that are clearly just taking advantage to rip people off.

Always used Cash4phones Never has a problem
ve just come accross this ive been sending phones to cash 4 phones for the past 2 as im happy with my current handset so i have always got rid of my upgrade with them and i have had no problems ive been reading alot that peoples handsets have been reduced in price and i have had no problems although i have never given them an excuse as i make sure my phone is always sent with extra packagaing eg bubble wrap. In regards to people and there emails
”What they then do is give you five days to respond – if you don’t respond within five days they assume you’ve accepted their revised offer. They’re playing on the fact that most people can’t be bothered to complain”
To say this I think is unfair At the end of the day you need to remember that they are a business and they are getting phones from people all the time they cant hold onto peoples phones forever and 5 days is more than enough time to respond to them.
I think most peoples problems are down to human error to avoid problems just do what i do make sure your phone is wrapped to avoid damage and always check the details you enter as I do to avoid human error.

Long Payment times but good prices!
Used them to get rid of my iPhone 4S it was like £220, They emailed me a moderate wear and tear price of £200 i went online and accepted it then like 2 days later my account said paid and i got an email in my junk box saying in a period of 7-10 working days my payment can be received. I do find this a long time!!! However i got my cheque in the post this morning. Thank you

Experience and Knowledge
I have used this company to recycle my family's phones as well as my company's phones. Some of them were really old and used and some of them were like 2-3 months old. Sometimes the prices were different but i was aware that could be the case as i did go through all their online info as well as reviews. I had the pleasure of speaking to a helpful young man yesterday by the name of Piers when i called to chase up my company's cheque payment. He was really helpful and advised me he will cancel and reissue the cheque for me. After thanking him for his help he asked me to leave a review which i am having a pleasure in doing now as we received that cheque this morning in the post. Thank You Piers

Sent my 9900 for recycle my price was £122 I got £100 after speaking to frank called this morning and was told my money will be in my account tomorrow I cant wait as me and my mates have a big night planned for tomorrow!!

Some issues but a quick phone call sorted everything out!
Originally quoted £123 on Internet settled on 100 after telephone call with Piers!
Please could you explain the terms excessive wear and tear and handset works perfectly I have used a couple of these services before without difficulty. Cash4Phones offered the best rate, so under "Condition - Working". No mention of cosmetic condition being taken into consideration when processing the transaction.
I actually feel that my device was in good condition, yes some wear and tear - but it's been used! The screen is near perfect, so I was a shocked that you have valued the handset at £49.20 a reduced estimate from £123. Not too sure how you have arrived at £75 less. Please get back to me with an answer. Until this issue has been resolved I do not wish to agree to a sale. And I look forward to you honouring your original quote of £123.

Just to confirm that, as we agreed a minute ago, the price has been regraded to £100 for your Apple iPhone 4 8GB handset.

Those Sweet Sensations
Ive recently sent off 3 HTC Sensations I have been quoted just over 63 pounds which I have recieved my email saying I will be getting this amount which is good Iv have been reading a few reports of downgrading of prices this is now the second time using cash 4 phones and havent had any trouble just make sure when you send your phones in you make sure that they are well protected.

3rd Time User!
I have recycled quite a number of handsets with this company now and have experienced things like a change in price, a regrade and a delay in payment. I can always say that every time i did received my money for my phones and any issues i had was always resolved with one of their CSA. The last person I dealt with Esther who really was helpful to me she regrade 3 of my phones and she contacted me back on the same day. She advised me if I could leave a review so as I received my payment yesterday I am more than happy to do so today. Thank You Esther!

Regrade Ok With me!!
Sent in my iPhone4S by special delivery. They received the phone and i received an email advising of a decreased price. I rang them and spoke to Piers who informed me he would be able to do a "regrade" for me. He called me back later that day and offered me a much better deal. I was happy and I accepted. About 2 days later i got an email telling me that it can take 10 working days for payment. I got my payment with that time according to my memory. I am leaving this review as Piers was very helpful to me and he asked me if i would so here's my review!

KEEP UP THE PRESSURE!!!
I used these toe rags thinking I was on a website I'd sold through before,as I'm usually very careful with online transactions. Big mistake! Like many others on here I sent in my BB9900 16th April after agreeing a price of £128. Paid for special delivery. Got e mail couple of days later saying offer reduced to £57.66 due to damage! (where do they get their figures from?) Argued my point as phone had only just been replaced and was perfect. Finally got agreement of £110. E mail on 2nd May saying money processed and being paid to my account which under normal banking system would take no more than 24 hours. Been pestering ever since. Rang yesterday and was told by an idiot that money would be in my account by 25th May due to 'accounts dept problems' very sorry' etc etc. Accused them of theft and fraud and threatened to report them if money was not in my account within 24 hours. Have today had £110 credited to my account so proof that they were talking absolute rubbish and payments can be made within 24 hours. I have already reported them to Watchdog and Citizens Advice Bureau and my next course of action was a recorded letter stating BREACH OF CONTRACT as advised by CAB who were very helpful. Will also report them to trading standards and any other company that I can to stop this blatant abuse. Can't stress enough what a crap company these scum are and the sooner they are removed the better but for all you out there still waiting for cash I advise keep fighting even if its only a small amount because they are raking in thousands by their devious methods. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

Absolute Con!
I was quoted £105 for my Samsung Galaxy s2 about a week ago. I have sent it to them and just like everyone else, this mythical "excessive wear and tear" has reduced the price of my phone to £42. Obviously this is unacceptable and in no way am I paying the £8.95 to have it returned. I will spend all day on the phone to customer service if I have too and after I get my money I will be contacting every watchdog there possibly is.
I hope people read these stories in the future, I wish I had before I used these fraudsters!

Full Amount Paid!!
I used this company to recycle my phone as they have the best prices online. I read all the reviews online and was a little skeptical but i needed the cash so i took pictures of my phone and i sent it in.
It was basically a new Samsung Galaxy 3 which i had for about a month but couldn't work it so decided to trade it in and get the money. I was told i would get £230 for it and i totally did. I didn't get any lower offer or anything. I did find that my emails did go in the junk inbox and i did also find that the payment time was a bit long. Other than that i cant really complain about the service i received as i did get an email through at every stage of my order. I would use them again and i would recommend them to anyone who wants a bit of cash.

cash 4 phones-we rip you off!!!!!!!!!!
i recently upgraded my contract and decided to go for an iPhone, leaving me with a HTC Wildfire s that i needed to get rid of. I decided to use a recycling company, and naturally decided to search for the best price. so I used a comparison site, which came up with cash 4 phones offering £26.50, which was the best price. So I sent off my phone, and after 4 days of hearing nothing, my mum suggested that i look up reviews of the company. Every review i read said basically the same thing, that they offered you a certain amount initially, then after 10 days, they recieved the phone, and would say that the phone had "moderate/extensive scratches on screen" and "moderate wear and tear" and they'd offer around £10 for it, (for me specifically it was £9.56). So when exactly that happened, they give you the option to "accept" or "reject" the offer. I was disgusted at this blatant lie, especially as i had the screen replaced 1 month prior to selling it. So I, naturally, decided that the best course of action was to reject the offer, and sell it on ebay. When I pressed "reject" it came up with a screen, saying that i had to pay THEM £8.95 as a penalty to get my own phone back!!!! I wrote them a strongly worded email, demanding they send my phone back free of charge or i would take legal action, which they ignored, and, two days later they processed my phone for recycling. I was furious, so I fired off another email, telling them I was disgusted at their terrible company, and, surprise surprise, heard nothing back, exept for a blanket email, saying my payment would be in my bank within 3-5 days. That was 11 days ago. So, once again, I emailed them, asking them where my payment was, and, well, I'm pretty sure you can glean what happened. So, to summarise, they are damn rip off merchants, they ignore their customers questions and needs, and not only will i never even think of using them again, but i will absolutely be discouraging all friends, family, anyone who is willing to listen, from using this ridiculous "company", if thats what you can call it. They are unproffesssional, ignorant and they take advantage of the people, like myself, who cannot afford to pay the £8.95 penalty to get THEIR phone/s back! In 4 words: Ridiculous. Rip. Off. Merchants. The End!!!!!!!!

Blackberry Torch Paid For!
Used this company to recycle my blackberry torch which i got paid £40 for which wasn't bad as i did have my phone for 2 years and it has had its fair share of drops and scratches. I would use them again the only thing i found was really long was the payment 10 days! received my payment today directly in my account result!

Sent away a blackberry torch in perfectly working order, no scratches, almost new looking- they said they would send me £80 for it. (Most other sites quoted from 30-60).
Anyway, sent the phone away by recorded delivery as I had my suspicions about this clowns & they eventually emailed me (around a month later) to say they were pleased to say I would be receiving my £26 within next two weeks... No reason for such a massive decline in quoted price..
I emailed them to ask for phone to be sent back and no response!
DON'T USE THESE CLOWNS!!! Try eBay or a reputable site first, even if offer is lower!
If I accept their downgraded offer, I would infact only be making £19 off the phone quoted as £80 (after taking out cost of recorded delivery..)
What's the point??!! Could have made more money flogging my old knickers on eBay...
Avoid if you have any sense!
