Decided to swap my Lexus for a Hyundai i40 premium saloon. Did lots of research on line and thought this swap made sense to me. My only concern was that I might be trading down!! Having driven the car albeit for a short time I am confident that this is not the case. So the car is fine, first class build quality and lots high tech goodies. The next part of the story is yet to unfold and that is the after sales service. If it's as good as the attention given by Gareth then that will be the icing on the cake so to speak. I will keep the car for 3 years or so and then reflect on how things have gone, before deciding what to do next.
We called in Chorley Motors in Blackpool just to browse initially and not really intending to purchase at that time but get an idea of the second hand car market. We had discounted a new car maiinly due to cost. One of their sales team, Arran Lund approached us and showed us several second hand cars. He soon identified the type of the car that would suit our needs and what I was looking for. We were more than surprised with the amount of options on offer and ended up purchasing a new car that worked out cheaper than the second hand one! So we are now the proud owners of our first new car a KIA Rio and we're delighted. Arran was not only friendly, courteous and efficient but he went out of his way to go through all the options, benefits, warranty, other products and we did not feel rushed or intimidated in any way. It is nice these days to find sales people who are not after a quick sale and are proud of their product and have confidence in it. This is one of the main reasons we purchased from Chorley Group. We had been over the road to the Citroen dealership and despite looking around the car lot and hovering near the showroom doors no one could be bothered to come out!
Finally we can only say that Arran together with Phil the Manager provided a first class service from order through to delivery. We also have to say that the hand over of the car was excellent and customer service is obviously paramount here.

My wife and I were given comprehensive advice and guidance about the purchase of a new motability vehicle. We had already semi-decided on purchasing an Hyundai i30 and were given a test drive in same around the immediate area. Following the test drive we decided to proceed with the purchase as planned as we were very satisfied. The Hyundai i30 easily met our expectations.
Thank God for Brett Heskin at Chorley Hyundai - a professional through and through, keen to help and always willing to go the extra mile. Sadly, not the same can be said of his colleagues, and in particular his Sales Manager, who, when I dared question the length of time I was being asked to wait for my vehicle (32 weeks, when originally quoted 16), displayed the sort of level of customer service that you would expect from a second rate back street used car dealer - and not what Chorley would like us to believe is a prestigious, reliable dealer group.
James, the Sales Manager obviously enjoys an argument with his customers - unusual customer service technique, but I am sure he goes home happy in the knowledge that he has given his staff a lesson in 'Who is Boss'. Worryingly, this attitude is obviously encouraged from the top down, as despite a request that the Dealer Principal contact me in order that I could explain my unhappiness, I never received the call.
Brett Heskin is the only reason I saw this purchase through to delivery - if any Chorley management (outside of the Blackpool branch) are looking for ideas on how to improve performance at Blackpool - I would heartily recommend a lesson in Customer Service for the Principal Sharon, and her Management team - perhaps Brett Heskin could provide the training.
No problems with the service, disappointed we couldn't get the colour we wanted without a long wait. Car is fab so far, no teething issues at all. Only thing I could mention was the showroom, I felt it was a little shabby, in need of a coat of paint.
I have just purchased a new fiat 500 , the man who served me Darren Marshall was excellent he went out of his way to make sure every thing was what I wanted , nothing was too much trouble and he didn't sound like a pushy sales man cant thank him enough for his time .

We dealt with a salesman called Aaron who was very professional and was excellent in every aspect of the process. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He also maintained contact with us throughout the process and also contacted us the week after we had collected the car to ensure that we were happy with our purchase and we had no problems that he could help with. I had a very good Hyundai i30 and called into Chorley Blackpool, while on holiday, and was so impressed with Chorley, and especially everything about the way I was treated by Gareth Moyle, that I bought an ix20. Every time Gareth said he would contact me he did at the promised time and day. Nothing was a bother, and he has even phoned me when I got home to ensure everything was ok.
With his clean and tidy appearance, and his pleasant manner, he is a total credit to Chorley, and Hyundai.
On heading into the Kia showroom we were met by Arran who supported us massively in our decision making. No pressure or hard sale but a friendly approach to our discussion as to what kind of car we were looking for. We took our car of choice (Kia Sportage) for a test drive which was again a very relaxed experience and returned the next week for another test drive to confirm it was definitely what we wanted. Still there was no pressure to make a decision and any questions asked were answered without hesitation. Once we'd made our final decision the options we had to purchase the car were made clear and the whole process was pretty straight forward. There was good communication leading up to the arrival of our car and we have had it nearly a week now - absolutely love our car - and are still in touch with Arran and the Kia team whose after sales care has been excellent. We are extremely happy and would highly recommend them to anyone on the hunt for a new or used car!

It couldn't have been easier! I went to Morrisons in Blackpool to do my weekly shop, spotted this snazzy little car and fell in love. The salesman at Chorley Group, Gareth, was really professional and extremely competent. He sold the car to me without any pushy sales talk and made sure that I was completely at my ease, I am no expert when it comes to cars! I now have my lovely new i10 and she is fantastic, if only she had come covered in bubble wrap, I am a bit over protective of her getting scratched by anyone! I'd happily recommend the Chorley Group dealership in Blackpool. From when I first arrived and began asking about a car the staff were quick to help, pointing me in the direction of the most appropriate members of staff to help me with my questions. The car I was interested in was explained to me in detail and lots of assistance was given on drawing up payment plan options and a test drive was offered immediately.

Maybe top banana was a little over the proverbial top but the box did say put a catchy message to get it noted, hopefully the use of fruit and a catchy contempary (80's) phrase will suffice to snear the beady eyes of the powers that be. I will say that the experiance we had was good from start to finish!! We had looked at numerous cars before coming to fiat and we weren't particularly sold on any of them. However we liked the car (and the price was ok) and the service was fantastic. The machine coffee which we were offered to an almost endless supply was a little bitter for my rather over sensitive tastebuds, but that aside the salesperson, Gareth, could not have been more helpful. We came in on a sunday and by the following week we drove our new car out of the showroom!
We were kept informed the whole time and 3 days after the purchase we were called to ensure all was ok. We were offered numerous packages to ensure we got the most out of our car and we were protected as much as we could be.
I must say we tried his patience as we dithered a little but it didnt show and he was able to get us the right deal at the right price.
I would recommend anyone to the chorely group (as long as the car stands up to muster) and we both are happy with our experiance.

went rather late on a saturday 4.30 nothing was to much trouble we dd say we would come back next day to test drive but the stayed late Tom and the manager. Picked it u h following saturday tom kept in touch with us in the weekto let us know when the car would be ready.
