Reading some of the reviews I was unsure whether to use this service but thought I would give it a try. So far my parcels have been delivered next day with a signature for LESS than the cost of sending them by Royal Mail where I wouldn't have received a signature. Several local drop off points which makes the service convenient to use. I have paid the £1 extra for a signature but at £4.99 for a signed for parcel weighing less than £2kg I can't complain. Also I sent a parcel on Friday expecting it to be delivered on Monday and it was delivered Saturday morning. Give it a try - Royal Mail have done themselves no favours by increasing their costs when CollectPlus offer a much better cheaper service.
Collectplus delivered several items for me fine, but have now lost a customer, and i wish to warn others of their incompetence
I sent a parcel and paid extra for insurance & signature, it showed delivered on the collectplus site, but the other person said they had never received it
When i asked for proof of delivery from collect plus the sent detailed tracking info
It showed that they had delivered it to the wrong address, over 150 miles away.
Had to call them again, and was told the depot could not find the address in Scotland, so sent it to a similar address in England !!!
The person they delivered it too accepted the parcel, so i have now lost out financially
I get daily emails from collectplus, but each one is from someone else, all saying they have got no further with retrieving the parcel
They do not reply to any emails i send them, and in fact today (3 weeks after first sending the parcel) i get a progress email saying they delivered it to the wrong postcode, (I sent to PH1, it was delivered to DH9) but i knew this from the tracking received 10 days ago
So it seems the insurance & signature is pointless when collectplus decide to deliver your parcel to a different country, and do nothing to help
I have sent over a dozen parcels with Collect+, all over the country.
In one case, the parcel took about a week and a bit to arrive - the delivery driver was trying to deliver in the evening and the company office closed at 5:30pm. However, this was resolved without me having to do anything (I just noted what happened via the tracking system).
In short, they're cheaper than the rest, convenient, and if speed is not essential they are imo the best service out there currently.
Drop off at local store, picked up the next day and delivered the next day.
The tracking isn't real time which is a shame.
Parcels get delivered but tracking often says still in depot. Not acceptable in cases where recipient can claim for non delivery. When faced with a complaint, they just say "Oh well, it arrived OK then. Nothing else we can do". I would suggest pulling your socks up before you go out of business. It doesnt take too many disgruntled customers to achieve this end. Its a good job I used a prepaid system, otherwise I would be very annoyed.

USELESS! in future pay the extra 10p with Royal Mail your guaranteed a better service! I wish i never bothered with these BIGGEST MISTAKE EBAY HAVE MADE! & as a seller myself and i send alot of parcels will no longer use these again!
Sent a Parcel on the 11th April (2 weeks ago), everyday there is an update (8 times) parcel is damaged - i've phoned 6 times everytime its says phone depot. and been advised every time parcel is not damaged there was a problem with the address, that there is no door number 18e.
I telephoned the customer who advised her door number WAS 18e, and there has been NO ATTEMPT for delivery NO CARD NO NOTHING!
Phoned Collect AGAIN! Asked them to return the parcel back to the sender (me) (3 days ago) which they should have done after 3 so called attempts of delivery as stated on their website
I live in Blackburn, and there depot is Bamber Bridge 147 Brierley Rd, Walton Summit Centre, Preston, Lancashire PR5 8AH ... (they did not provide this info) after research i found that collect plus is actually Yodel, telling me they don't know their depot address, or won't allow me to collect my own parcel (BALLS TO YOU) I'M COMING FOR MY PARCEL! told me i would have to wait 3-5 days from today (taking it to 3 weeks) for them to be returned to me! (NO CHANCE)

i live 10 mins away and i'm on my way to collect!

Afterwards i recieved a personal phone call from the manager themselves who advised how sorry they were, and that my experience was unacceptable,
a cheque of £15 would be in the post as an apology and to cover petrol i've used to collect my parcel and postage refunded, (Thank you very much)
I very much appreciate the follow up to my bad review, and how the matter was dealt with in the end, which was very professional, and hopefully i will continue to use Collect+ and will update on my future experiences..

I used collect plus to send an item i sold on e bay. They were half the price of Royal Mail with compensation and tracking. The stated delivery time was a little longer (3-5 days)but this was not an issue. To my surprise the buyer emailed me the day after i dropped the parcel at the shop thanking me for prompt delivery! I have used collect plus some more with the same five star service. Also the process of buying the service and the tracking of a parcel is very simple to do on the website.
Since post office raised their prices i have used collectplus three times. Two of my parcels have been delivered successfully and one is still in the process (only being sent off yesterday). Collectplus offer a good tracking service which is easy to use. I prefer using collectplus over myhermes as i have already had one problem with myhermes and have only sent two parcels with them. All in all i can't fault collectplus's service and will continue using them.
Sold some items on eBay recently, and was contacted buy the buyer that goods were not received. Yodel claim they were delivered and left in front porch. Buyer replied that his front porch is locked and so nobody could gain access. Also no card was left suggesting a delivery had taken place. I personally lost out on the deal as eBay and PayPal costs are not refunded by either Yodel or CollectPlus. So because of their incompetence it cost me money to sell something that either was never delivered in the first place or left on the front doorstep to be stolen. I got absolutely nowhere with either CollectPlus and Yodel and would urge you to pay the extra and go with Royal Mail, because since this event a regular eBayer told me out of the 23 shipments they made via CollectPlus they had 5 missing/lost/stolen.
CollectPlus needs to take its good business model of using local stores for drop/off and collection points and use another courier other than Yodel who clearly are into stealing goods in transit. Oh, and yes Yodel did refuse to report it to the police!
I started using them just over a week ago as royal mail prices are now extortionate for small parcels when seeling on ebay. I have sent 9 parcels with them all have been deliovered quickly and safely.posted monday morning all delivered by wednesday !! you even get a tracking number. They only have 3 prices so easy to use for ebay. £3.99 for parcels weighing upto 2 kilos, £4.99 for parcels weighting between 2-5 kilo and £6.99 for parcels over 5 kilos. Best is you can drop the parcels off at the local co-op, they just scan the barcode give u the tracking number and off you go,bobs your uncle, fannys your aunt !! try them they are excellent. i cant praise them enough , just dreading what the co-op will say when i turn up with another 15 parcels tomorrow !!
Recently started using CollectPlus for my ebay, have sent 14 parcels over past 7 days and all arrived the next day without problems. I was apprehensive about using them as have read so any negative reviews.....but very happy with their service so far.
Contact received from Philip Marsh Executive Service Co-ordinator who assures me their loss’s are a minute percentage of turnover however each loss is treated extremely seriously and they are taking various steps to try and eliminate them to virtually zero, perhaps I should have paid the £1 extra for signature on delivery? as he said the odd loss gets on review sites but the 99.9% delivered successfully get no reviews, full compensation now immediately received, will now carry on using collect plus and update any further problems. ps have had several loss,s recently with tracked signed for royal mail

USE for business. Sent package to our client. The client received items totally damaged. The box has been thrown over 6 FOOT GATE and landed on stone tails.
Company ignore our client photos and requests for compensation of the damaged items £ 17.00. We also contacted Collect + in this regard. Only received copy and paste T&C. We requested highlighted T&C whether drivers CAN THROW BOXES AT 6 + FOOT HEIGHT OR ARE ALLOWED TO DO SO. GUESS! NO REPLY AND NO RESPONSIBILITIES.
DO NOT EXPECT ANY COMPENSATION FROM THESE ARROGANT LIARS.
The SAD STORY IS WE TRUST THEM AND USE THEM AS A BUSINESS PARTNERS.

I have used Collect+ a couple of times now and I certainly have no complaints. I even had a strange shaped parcel delivered to Northern Ireland with no problem.
The added convenience of having the item delivered to a local store is brilliant for those who cannot sit around waiting for a delivery.
I have used collect plus many times some missing but money given back so fully covered but more good than bad. Great prices and now the option for more cover and signature I recommend 100% to use. Brilliant and cheap I highly recommended
This company is terrible. I delivered a package to the drop off point and was received without problem. However the driver keeps refusing to pick it up for some reason and won't take it to the depo to be delivered. It's been 3 weeks sitting at the drop off point and the telephone support it useless and downright rude at times. They won't issue a refund or allow a claim on the insurance.
Terrible. never use this firm if you want something delivered.
Use if you want it lost and enjoy going round and round in circles with terrible customer services.
They have lost my parcel. Have no idea where it has gone and care even less. I posted a parcel to my son. So when we contacted the company it was as much as they could do to even look, only being able to contact The Hub by email. Where do we go from here? No where cause they cant find it. So very upset and extremely cross. Do Not Use this company.
will be my choice of delivery when shopping with Very and other companies on eligible items, if an item doesn't offer collect+ then I will buy the item elsewhere.
Collect + delivered on time and more securely than yodel, who certain staff seem to enjoy a kick around with customers parcels (this can be seen on youtube) its so easy to use collect+ when collecting from your local shop and at least you will know that your parcel is safe. Yodel home delivery couriers(not all, just the incompetent ones and there are many) can just continue whatever it is they do swinging from light to light or more like tree to tree like the baboons they are. no wonder they are rated 36/36 uk courier services with a score of 0.8/10
Keep up the good work collect + and please never take a leaf out of their book.

I have found this Company to have the best and most reliable service that i have ever used. The tracking provided adds peace of mind that your parcel will get to its destination safe and secure. I have made the mistake of using poor performers like Hermes in the past but never again.
Collect+ is about the best delivery company around in my personal opinion.
Used these for a while now, so convenient for sending and receiving parcels. Had a problem with a delivery once, but after a quick call and 30 minutes later it was resolved! Delivery has always been quicker than 3-5 days as promised. I have waited at longest three days with an average of two day wait.
Excellent value too, easily beats it's competitors to convenience and cost, especially when sending heavier items.
After reading the reviews was fairly sceptical, but at 4.99 to send a parcel (rather than nearly 13 quoted at the Post Office via ParcelForce), thought would be worth a try. Didn't want the hassle of waiting around for a courier to collect parcel from the house, so liked the convenience of dropping it off at a local shop. Booked and printed the label out on Wed a.m., dropped off the parcel a couple of hours later, and it was picked up at the end of the day. Checked the tracking website periodically and transit was exactly as expected, and it was reassuring to have all the info detailed there (far more than some other couriers I've used in the past). Delighted to see the parcel was delivered this afternoon at 4pm (Fri), well within the 3-5 working day timeframe especially good during the busy xmas rush. So my experience has been really positive. I wasn't looking for a speedy delivery, 3-5 working days suited me fine as long as the presents arrived in time for Christmas, so I didn't need to pay a premium for next-day delivery and so this no-frills service suited my needs. This was a budget option but it delivered - it did exactly what it said on the tin, so I'd personally recommend it. I know not everyone's had a positive experience, but as it's worked for me I wanted to share to redress the balance.

Have used Collect Plus for around 2 years and so far have not had a problem. Within their limitations of size and weight they cannot be beaten on price. Delivery time is around 2 - 5 days depending on area and which day it's sent. Even parcels to the Scottish Highlands have been delivered in 3 days !
Easy online booking and payment process and they accept paypal.
Collect Plus save me from the tribulations of the local post office and is MUCH cheaper.
They get a strong recommendation from me, the only reason I can't give a 5 star rating is weight and size restriction.
I've had great service now, for over 18 parcels. Nothing has gone wrong, and now 3 of them have arrived the day after sending. One even on a Saturday. To get that sort of service I would have had to pay just under £30 from another courier.
It's a nice easy way to send a parcel, especially without the hassle of the long queue at the post office.
do not use this company, phoned company in which i was first told that my parcel was signed for...which was'nt me. then phoned again and told them i had contacted the police as they needed the signature of the person who signed for it, which then i was told the driver/label or whoever delivered the item could not be found...missing in transit, or faulty label (To hard for the driver to read.

I have only used them once but would recommend them. I sell items on eBay and my items would cost £8.99 for Royal Mail delivery. Collect Plus charge £4.99 for the same size and weight. Their charge would have been less at £3.99 if I could use a jiffy bag, but I cant. I have to use boxes to avoid breakages.
Another big plus is that you drop them off at a local convenience store and can deliver to a private address or to a convenience store close to the home address. This means that people dont have to wait in for a delivery if they dont want to. Just pick it up from your corner store.
I dont have any connection to the company but feel it is unfair when only negative feedback is given.... so Collect Plus have 10 out of ten from me.
Oh. and my parcel was delivered from Kent to Derbyshire in five days!
Its been a nightmare to send my parcel through so called company 'collectplus'. Yodel is already a failed company with such bad reviews. Now this is the another example of their good deeds. Please I request to those who read my review,please review your decision before sending your parcel through this courier company and Yodel too.
Ordered my item on 9th! its 18th now n still waiting! Parcels delivered by yodel so i need say no more. Update on parcel. Still not received parcel its now 19th! Call them they say its stuck in depo & email to get it onto a van. Stay clear of this type of courier if you want o keep customers!
