FOUND THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE, AFTER ALL THE PROMISES OF TRYING TO SORT OUT MY ORDER, THEY'VE NOT FULFILLED IT AND HAVEN'T REFUNDED ME. THEY QUOTE THE RECESSION AS CLOSING THEM DOWN. WHAT A LOAD OF NONSENSE. MORE LIKE SHEER INCOMPETENCE AND FORGERY.

I have had the same experience of many other de cuisine customers -money taken but goods not received, unable to contact by phone and no response to online queries. I have now cancelled the order and the credit card company will try to recover the money. I would not dream of using them again.
My 81 year old mother placed an order on 1 Nov 11 - as of today 12 May 12 the order has still not arrived and despite a promise of a cheque in the post - a refund has not arrived. Never mind - will be in the area this weekend on a rugby tour so will collect refund in person - or goods to the value of - they get away with it because in the main orders are for less than £100 (my mothers was £51) - and its too much hassle to chase. This company must be making a good living out of this scam.
fail to understand why Trading Standards or the web hosting company still allow De Cuisine to trade. For many who have had the misfortune to order through this company, they either receive no goods, part goods or no refund. Has this company ever sent a complete order? Despite the many unanswered emails sent to Mike Wheale and should you be lucky and have a spare millenium to finally speak to him, he will assure you as he does with everyone that you will get your goods. Mr Wheale you should be ashamed as ripping people off isn't right or fair.
I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. My bank account was debited on 19th March, I received an email saying they were out of stock but expecting more and since then, nothing. 5 emails, no reply. Ringing is going to be difficult as they are only available between 9 and 1, and I work. I will never deal with this company again, a pity because the item I wanted was exactly what I had been looking for. Now Ihave to start the thankless process of getting my money back. Oddly enough they experienced no delay in getting it out of my account. Unfortunately I cannot post this with less than 1 star, actually I would like to give it a minus rating.
I placed my order on 7th. December 2011 & paid via pay pal. Order confirmed but never arrived, I wanted it for Xmas gift! After months of chasing via auto email enquiries through their site I eventually made contact with Mike Wheale by phone, he was most elequent and assured me he would send me a full refund, on my request. Following a chase up call some weeks later I eventually received my cheque in the post - 5th. April 2012. I feel that this company is out of it's depth & have logistic problems. I suggest they stop accepting orders until they get the business sorted out. This will prevent a lot of unsatisfied customers & negative feedback which is likely to destroy the company name & management moral. There is more to life Mr. Wheale!
I placed an order in January and never received the goods. I received an extremely long email from Mike, detailing his various health issues (totally irrelevant) and computer problems. Eventually he sent me a cheque, which was returned unpaid. The company obviously has serious finance problems. I am reporting to trading standards.
I placed my order with deCuisine last Sunday (25th March 2012). I received a dispatch e-mail on Monday and my goods arrived on Tuesday - faster than I expected! I am very pleased with the service I received and with the product (which I had trouble finding anywhere else - I found deCuisine from a google search after failing to find what I wanted from the major retailers). I am sad to see so many bad reviews and pleased I didn't see them before I placed my order because I might have been put off. As it is, I am a very happy customer and will not hesitate to use this company again.
WARNING WARNING WARNING. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. they are fraudulent thieves and should be shut down They will take your money and you will never get the goods. If they send you a refund by cheque it will bounce. You will have to resort to getting your money back from the credit card company as de Cusine will not answer the phone or e mails. I have reported them to the Police and the Credit card company are investigating YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
I placed my order and payment was made. 2 weeks later I had heard nothing so I telephoned the company. I was told my item was being sent out later that day. I explained about reading the terrible reviews and how sceptical I was about my item ever arriving. I received reassurance over the phone and 2 emails that discussed misuse of review sites. Interesting reading! A short time after I received a telephone call apologising that my item was not actually being sent later, and a full refund had been given. I am very pleased with the service I received, but sorry that the item is not available. This company is honest and deserve a chance.
