Fast, effective and extremely helpful service,
I was extremely impressed with DDS - both their sales and their support departments offer exceptional service. A very professional and reliable service
My order was processed and delivered very quickly. And when I telephoned support to ask a few questions regarding options for different lens fittings. I was given very helpful advice with the offer to deliver chosen options by the next day. Overall, it was a very pleasureable experience to deal with a supplier who is customer focussed.

CCTV £400 or £2000
I had a quote to put CCTV into my pub. A local company quoted £2000 to install it. I searched the internet and bought a 2 camera remote access DVD system from DDS and they talked me through the installation. Luke and David did a great job. Cost £430!!

Excellent service from start to finish
Digital Direct Security were one of a number of companies I looked at when I first became interested in setting up some home security for my house in Spain. I decided to buy from DDS because they took the time to explain everything to me and to offer advice. So far I have not regretted my decision, and if there are any "teething problems", I am confident that the support I have already had will still be accessible. I am very pleased with my home security set-up and would recommend this company to anyone seeking to install CCTV security.

Outstanding staff

Excellent solution and brilliant Customer Service..
I spoke to Dave at Digital Direct in late December to put together a suitable 16 Camera system for me. He was extremely helpful and came up with a great package at an excellent price.
Due to unforeseen changes to the office, we have had to make a number of changes and Dave was very accommodating, making the changes without altering the cost and giving us even better value!
The kit was delivered, but the DVR had been damaged in transit, but one quick call was all it took and a replacement arrived the very next morning!
A really great company to deal with! Top marks!!

Outstanding support
I had some issues with a camera they supplied. Despite the unusual nature of the problems, the support guys contacted the manafacturer and built a new version of firmware. Its difficult to get service like this these days.

Jury still out
Did not arrive on the promised day, so adding one day's loss of earnings due to waiting in, to the otherwise attractive price. Very well packed and listed.
The product appears to be well made (not fully installed at the moment) but the biggest let down for a first time installer is the ridiculous language in the installation and user manuals. Can we have them in plain English?
Otherwise very helpful and efficient.

Excellent customer service and brilliant website.
I would totally recommend using Digital Direct Security. As an individual with no knowledge in this area I had a bad experience with another company which resulted in me not have suitable equipment therefore loosing a lot money. Digital Direct Security has got an excellent website. I particularly liked the section that explains all the jargon and this helped me to understand what I was looking for. I also spoke to a member of staff who gave me excellent advice and helped me to complete the online order form ensuring I had everything I needed. I ordered a DVR which was fully configured and delivered the following day and im really pleased with the product. I finally got exactly what I was looking for.

Outstanding service and good advice
I rang them up to ask for their advice about the right system for our house. They explained the options so that even I could understand and came up with a solution within my budget. The electricians who fitted the system were full of praise for the robust cameras and the ready terminated cables. Because of the layout we chose we needed one longer cable and that arrived the next day.
The scaffolding is still up so the system has not been fully tested yet. I will let you know how it goes. I would recommend these guys for their sensible advice and fast service at an affordable price.

Miles ahead of their competitors !
We needed to replace 6 of 8 external dome cameras installed about 4 years ago that had suffered from water penetration or other malaise that had rendered them quite useless.
Researching the Web for good quality replacements DDS website proved informative with a wide range of quality leading edge products together with plain no nonsense pricing structure with no hidden extras. Telephoned next day to discuss and clarify a few points; all was explained in simple terms without recourse to trade jargon or speak.
Placed order at 1545 pm, delivery for next day within a one hour slot provided by Interlink Express (not DDS). Delivery was not as predicted - had to make two calls to courier - arrived some 5 hours later! So, don't rely on the courier provided time frame! Of course this was not the fault of DDS although I did mention it to them on a subsequent order (awaiting same courier delivery to-morrow).
Despite absolute nonsense translation of user instructions from Korean or Chinese manufacturer, product was top quality. Be prepared to ignore the data in the instructions - it makes little sense!
Other suppliers would at first glace appear to be offering products at a lower price; however further research indicates that like for like products DDS is best value.
All queries, requested information and process was handled swiftly and professionally.
Without hesitation I give a 5 star rating.

Overcharged
Beware, the "bundle" kits CAN be MORE EXPENSIVE than buying the parts individually! I trusted what I was told by the salesman that the kit I was buying was at least 5% cheaper than buying the parts separately. It was quite a bit more expensive and I only found out after looking at adding to my CCTV system. An example of overcharging is the individual prices for 4 x pre-made 20m cables which are £47.95 inc vat. If you want to change this in the bundle for 100m of RJ59 with power cable and connectors you are charged an additional £42 inc vat. The additional cost (if you were buying them on their own) was just an additional £10.22, an overcharge of £31.78 inc vat on this part of the kit alone.
I was offered a refund on difference between the "discounted" bundle price and the cost of buying the parts individually. I was refused the minimum saving I was told that I would get for buying a bundle kit. There are ways and means of dealing with legitimate complaints. The bottom line is that I was mislead and overcharged and my complaint wasn't handled to my satisfaction.
Tech support were very good but the bad taste left after being overcharged and the way in which this was dealt with by the company means that I cannot recommend this company at all. I honestly don't agree with the "no sign of malicious intent" that 2 stars states because of the way that the overcharging complaint was handled so I give DDS just one star. I am genuinely disappointed and I think the experience of being mislead and overcharged was an unacceptable experience as was the way it has(n't) been dealt with by the company.

Faultless rapid service of high quality CCTV Kit
Before ordering I called to take some advice, spoke to a human and the human knew what they were talking about (so rare these days) Tweaked my shopping list as a result which also saved money over what I thought I needed.
Order arrived very quickly, had some problems when I was setting up so, a quick call to DDS and they diagnosed my install issue straight away. Followed their advice again and now how a perfect running system. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Not Just Boxes Out of the Door
I chose to purchase the first of the systems I require because of the promised after sales service. Every company offers 'support" but the larger the company the less meaningful the 'support' I find . I was attracted firstly because the telephone number was just a normal number not one costing £1 minute so I decided to call and initially just ask a few questions in order to gauge response, technical aptitude and personal response. I was pleasantly surprised by all aspects of the responses.
I rarely judge by how cheap or not a product is but by what happens when it fails or you require some setup details sadly you rarely get the opportunity to put things to the test until to late so for me its not just boxes out of the door.

I have used DDS 3 or 4 times now and the experience has been refreshing to say the least,nothing is too much trouble and information/technical support is freely available.Delivery is also very convenient with a one hour time slot,no hanging around all day for the parcel.Finally excellent products!

We had a bad experience with another company prior to contacting DDS so we were a little dubious about who we were going to buy CCTV from, however we spoke to these guys and bought from them. We even got to look at the manual sent by email, to the dvr we bought prior to buying it which gave us an insight into how it functioned.We spoke to the guys on the phone they were very courteous and helpful with what we asked them each time and gave as as much advice and information we required. The price we paid was very reasonable for what we needed it to acheive. We have still have to link it to the network for remote access but these guys will help with that also when we are ready to do so. Delivery was super quick next day and was well within the timeframe that we were given. DDS are a highly professional efficient company who we would recommend without hesitation. Well done guys.
