absolute joke

after ordering a bedroom furniture set in aug and was pleased with decided to order another one for different room in Oct arrived 4th Nov some of which was damaged ,told rang customer services told to refuse delivery of those items and replacements would be sent out y end of week which we did .of course replacements were not coming anytime soon ,after numerous calls to the call centre and apart from been told different things about a resolution to our problem which we had to restart the story each time we rang ,it was all so robotic word for word even down the very insincere apology for the problem .anyway after all the calls and a letter that was advised by trading standards giving a deadline saying what we wanted to happen by ( which they responded to the day before that date with no resolution ) help from credit card provider and 4months later after a lot of stress we decided to demand a refund which also took days to sort out properly despite reassurances it would happen .I would never recommend a large purchase from Asda direct that comes from a supplier .they clearly don't care about their customers and definitely need to look very hard at their customer services which is out of UK with no empathy or real knowledge of what they are doing there's no way contacting anyone in a higher position ,you just can't past their 0800 number I know I tried .the whole process is an absolute joke .

What a crap dissapointment.

I found a Hair and Body Wash I really like, it's anywhere between £2 to £3 at Boots so when I found it for £1 at ASDA I ordered 24 bottles from ASDA direct.

But 24 entirely different product's arrived, 11 were a different type of Hair and Body Wash and 13 were Body Wash only.

I rang Customer Services frustratingly based in South Africa who agreed to refund my money but insisted I must have checked the substitute button. I told them i had not and later found out it's normal for the substitute out of stock button to be pre-set.

The person I spoke to asked me had the van driver not bought my attention to the fact that the order had been substituted, no he did not.

Having a pre-set substitute button is entrapment as far as I'm concerned, when the shop has not one of an item in stock it's a chance to dump junk on a customer.

I found the attitude of the ASDA staff I spoke to erring on the confrontational especially the one who demanded I give my name before he could tell me where in the world I had rang through, how pathetically awkward !.

ASDA strike me as one of those Companies that use fake friendliness to affect their image when in reality they have no respect for the customer.

BEWARE

Absolutely discusting customer service . i purchased 2 leather sofas from Asda direct i had to wait a number of weeks for them to be delivered , when i unpacked them the large sofa had a tear in it , i contacted Asda direct straight away and they were very apolagetic and informed me that they woud contact the manufacturer straight away and i would be contacted within 72 hours to confirm collection of the damaged sofa and delivery of a new one. 5 days went and i had not had any contact from them , i contacted them again and was informed that the damaged sofa would be collected and then when they had conformation that it was back in their warehouse they would refund me the money and then i would have to re order the sofa again . i told them this was unacceptable and totally bizarre way of dealing with this matter , the advisor told me she was going to sort it out and would rin me back by 11 am the next morning and guess what , i never got the phone call so rang again to be told the same as the first phone call and i could not speak to a manager and i have got to wait for one to ring me and i am still waiting . I will be telling them to collect both sofas and refund the money and i will go elsewhere, the customer advisors are full of sarcasm . Never again will i shop with this company.

terrible service and all round bad

I honestly am so tired dealing with them that I dont have the strength to write a big think about it but lets just say that they are a nightmare to deal with.

(asda stores are okay and seem to be cheaper than tesco)

so not a complete bash of wallmart company.

EDIT:

I decided to give them another chance, but wow was I wrong.. I placed an order a total of 4 times and it was cancelled each time even though the website said it was ins tock for both delivery and collection AND confirmed to be in stock on the phone ??

obviously a rubbish company if you have to squabble in order to give them your money..

2 MONTHS LATER NO FURNITURE AND A HUGE PHONEBILL FROM HAVING TO RING THE USELESS CALL CENTRE IN SOUTH AFRICA. BEWARE.

Odered 2 items of furniture in December - said on the website 'delivered within 14 days'. Still have not received my items, yet the money was taken out of my account the day after I placed the order. Have phone customer service numerous times and they are completely useless. Each person I have spoke with fobs me off with 'we will contact the supplier, they are closed at the moment and get back to you'. No one calls back as they said they would. It was only when my phone bill came in this month that I enquired where exactly I was calling on the last phonecall I made this week when the man told me it was in SOUTH AFRICA! Huge phonebill I have to pay now for all the calls I have had to make to them trying to find out why 2 months later I have NOTHING for my money. They still dont have a clue when its coming or what's going on. I cant find a UK complaints email or telephone number. I have written a letter already which I have sent my post and also via email and havent even received any reply!!! So rude and useless. RUBBISH SERVICE. WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ADSA DIRECT AGAIN.

I have been told twice by asda direct to wait in for a furniture delivery it still has NOT ARRIVED phoned customer service and they said they have phoned supplier and they are not answering the phone this would be funny if it wasn't true I wish they were as slow taking the money out of my bank account so now I am £800 out of pocket and no sign of the furniture will let you know if it ever turns up or if asda direct ever get back to me regards tracey

Asda Direct - Retarded, Bureaucratic, Waste of Time/Effort/Money

Ordered a large plastic box with wheels, arrived with wheels wrenched off and box torn. Arranged return and asked for replacement. Was told this would take two weeks (!!), said forget it, give me a refund. They now deny receiving my call (even though I was given a formal refund number) and are delivering a replacement, and told me to "decline delivery on the doorstep". What a bunch of idiots - next time I'll stick to Amazon!!

Great comms and quick delivery instore!

Item we wanted was out of stock but set up a reminder which came through the following day advised the Lego item was back in stock. Placed order and email comms were great - instore for collection the next day. The only little drawback as that the queue was about 6 deep and took about 15 minutes to get served - but the price differential made it worthwhile - thank you Asda!

HORRENDOUS !

Worst online buying experience of my life. I shall NEVER buy from asda again after this debacle. Luckily I paid via paypal, they were able to get my money back as asda never reply to emails, & call centre staff abroad are a waste of oxygen.
