Just booked a flight with displayed price of £86.11 with Visa. Card details accepted without warning and flight confirmed. Happy day. Checking the email total price found £105.25. No point to call, costs £1.53 per minute. Just sharing experience.
I just want to make people aware that Edreams and Opodo are partners so you might find it useful to read reviews on both before you decide to go anywhere near them. The complaints sound identical and the majority of the good reviews sound like adverts. Even the writing style is the same.
I have a problem. On two of my bookings (with EASYJET) EM1F1WQ and EM1F29B edreams.com has listed an email address that is not mine and therefore EASYJET is sending confirmations to this odd address. I have written to your customerservice address who say they cannot change it. What am I to do? I have contacted EASYJET. This is not efficient enough for me.
the rates i find on e-dreams.pt are Always the lowest. booking is made fairly easy and you know well in advance what you have to pay in the end. there is room for improvement, but hey, improvements can be made almost everywhere. the negative comments i read below are alien to me. i have never had any bad experience with e-dreams. and yes, i do travel quite a lot.
it his my first experience with edreams looking forward to travel
very frustrating having the 'pending payment' email come with every booking meaning folllow-up phone calls always needed. Very inconvenient.
I found an amazing airfare from Munich to Paris. I plugged in all our information and even sprung for the extra travel insurance. I thought I was on easy street until I got my confirmation email. The email had the wrong dates for my flight. I had booked three tickets for my family totaling a hefty total purchase price. I called edreams immediately to get the dates changed and was told it was an issue with Air France and that they couldn't do anything regardless of the travel insurance I had purchased. I then called Air France, they informed that they have had many many complaints from Edreams customers and had the airfare been purchased through them they could have made a change easily, and I should speak with a supervisor at edreams because it was not an issue through Air France. So I called edreams again only to be put on hold for an hour for a "booking agent" that refused to give me their name or transfer me to a supervisor. So now Edreams has absconded with hundreds of my hard earned dollars. I will obviously never use this site again, but I hope my experience serves as a warning to others.
It started like a pleasant dream. I found prices that were seriously cheaper than I'm used to pay for a trip around Christmas time, but it turned sour quite fast.
I got the first confirmation after just a few hours and was told to wait for the next one (return flight). They said it could take like 24 or 48 hours or something (can't remember exactly) and after that I honestly just forgot about it...
I was reminded a few weeks later when I got a mail in French (I don't speak French) that said I needed to confirm the ticket that I already had gotten a confirmation for. I used the opportunity to ask about my return flight and was told it was cancelled by the airline due to a ticket time limit! I was super suprised and told them I was never contacted to confirm any other tickets before now and wanted them to fix it. After a few mails they said I could open a claim or go to their site and book a new reservation.
I opened a Dispute with PayPal a few days ago and received a mail from Edreams today saying I got a full refund, but now I OWE THEM money because they had also refunded me the money for the ticket that was confirmed and cannot be cancelled. Seriously!
Such a wild ride and their support felt useless at times. To a mail with several questions I would get a reply with no answers ...
I'm never touching this site again. Even though it looks like Im getting my money back it was too huge a mess to keep me as a customer.
I am generally speaking quite savvy when it comes to searching for the best price for anything. This website lured me in when I was linked to it through another site. I usually use Skyscanner but the flight price listed was slightly cheaper. I then proceeded to go through the booking process for the website to state that the carrier has put up their price whilst I was filling in the form and that it would cost another £16. I thought this was pretty outrageous but proceeded anyway as the blame was put on the carrier.
I then went straight back onto the Thomas Cook website to book some more tickets for our travelling companions and have established that we have been ripped off by £50, Thomas Cook had not increased their prices at all, EDREAMS has scammed me.
I am furious their website and sales Tactics are a complete scam, either buy your tickets directly from the carrier or from skyscanner. Please also make sure you spread the word about how bad this company is.
Booked flights to Budapest. Ryanair going out, Jet2 return. The Ryanair ones seem to have gone through but Jet2 remain 'pending' and I received a very dodgy looking email asking me to call them with my credit card details again. At £1.53 per min for calls, and conscious of scams, I thought I would email to ask them to call me. Still waiting and still no response despite several emails. I now do not know whether I should book independently or wait for them to get their act together. They are obviously really poor at customer service and inclined to ripping you off with premium rate call charges. Avoid them - I wished I had gone direct to the airlines!
My son booked a flight with this bunch of crooks. Had he taken the flight I suppose he would have been reasonably happy, (assuming they had not bumped up the ticket price as they appear to do.) However, he had to change the flight. It was then he discovered that the ticket was non-refundable and could not be changed. They claimed the airline imposed the restrictions. Contacted Austrian Airlines who confirmed they would not allow a change or refund on cancellation. They claimed these conditions were highlighted on the eDreams website at time of purchase (no they were not) and are contained in his eDreams confirmation e-mail. Again, not true. eDreams have, hidden away at the bottom of their website, in small print, a set of terms and conditions. Hidden away in there it states that they are not responsible for any terms and conditions the ticket have. That is up to the carrier. They don't want to know and are unwilling to help. The lady I spoke to at eDreams was rude and unpleasant. Also, they have a freephone line that does not work and a phone number that costs £1.35 a minute. I was frequently put on hold by the girl, who clearly had no interest in helping me.
My son was duped. I can see eDreams are a hairs breadth from being criminals. I advise you avoid them like the plague.
I am posting a positive review of Edreams. I booked a return flight to Prague for my wife and I for a last minute trip. The booking unfortunately ended up with a technical difficulty and I ended up having to book through an alternative site. Consequently I had to cancel my booking and after emailing edreams they promptly refunded all my credit card payment including the administration fees without question or delay. Their communication was first rate and polite throughout. I will definitely consider them next time I have to book.
The company is a scam. The phone numbers do not exist. I booked two return tickets for $260 and kissed my money goodbye. The log in took me to the airline booking site but at the last leg of the booking (after paying) the sight hung.
Anyway I've put it down to school fees, as much as I would have liked to have been able to take action to prevent this happening to others.
I just attempted to booked a domestic flight with eDreams within Paris, but upon attempting to enter my debit card the site told me that it was not authenticated. It then took me to the booking confirmation page where it said that the status of my booking was NOT CONFIRMED and that my flight was "flight: zov4vg" and that I should send a bank transfer to an account number that they gave. I immediately felt suspicious and so googled reviews for eDreams and am now extremely anxious because of these terrible reviews. Nothing is showing up on my online account statement yet. I have not received any email from eDreams except for one that thanked me for registering. I am unsure of what to do, and will notify my bank as soon as it opens tomorrow. Will I be charged for this if it says that my tickets are not confirmed?
They published very cheap business flight tickets. I needed two, but only one was confirmed. They wouldn't sell me the second one but for a much higher price. I ended up cancelling the first one and paying more than $220 in penalty.
I was lured into this website with it's attractive prices.
A flight to my desired destination was listed at £225, whereas on other competitive websites the cost was around £250.
As I go through the process of booking the flight I reach the payments page and have a selection of payment methods available.
This is where they get you hard - the fee for using debit card was an extra £54 per person!!! Absolutely ridiculous and extortionate amount. Unfortunately my collegue bought the tickets and did not verify the additional costs which are marked as "fees and taxes".
Needless to say, our search for the cheapest ticket ended up costing us way more than any normal ticket from any other flight search website.
Avoid at all costs! and buy from any other competitor.
First they charge your PayPal or CC.
THen they send you email that for security reasons the PayPal/CC did not go thru, (it did in fact) and they inform you that to secure the e-tickets you have to make a direct bank transfer to their account.
When called they lie:
The airline is holding back your tickets.
The payment did not go thru.
The refund department is closed, you would receive refund tomorrow.
AVOID THESE SCAMMER AND FRAUDSTERS. WASTE OF YOUR TIME, AND POTENTIALLY OF YOUR MONEY AS WELL!
Their web site adds hard to detect errors in your reservation--once you've booked you're stuck, and they won't help claiming that they are just a broker. You will also notice a variety of fees which end up costing you more than the bargain you were hoping to get, so it is a classic bait and switch.
Wrote to edreams explicitly about my issues and demanded a refund, but received a canned reply which makes clear they couldn't care less to have repeat customers. I believe a class action law suit is the only way to get their attention.
Caveat emptor: don't go near.
Before you book any flights or hotels make sure you are with Agoda, they were honest and reliable and any cancellations were simple and honoured. Like the saying goes, when you find someone good, stick with them always.
eDreams on the other hand were incompetent (that could be endured a bit) but then blatantle corrupt & that I won't tolerate.
Maybe our web security can be more conscious of internety scamming companies like this disgraceful organization.
I have beeen waiting on a refund from a cancellation I made last year, though their website, then again by phone because they "couldn't read" their own email service.
Even after I sent them copies of their reply emails and my phone records they haven't paid. Liars and failures. Haven't thery heard of karma? Giving zero stars for eDreams should be an option.
Anyway Agoda on the other hand were a shining light and had repaid a cancellation into my accoount within a fortnight. Gotta love good people :)
They use clear deferral tactics with a no reply system in place when it comes to modifications or cancellations. I have been waiting for two weeks to get a cancellation responded to that I sent to their official email at email@example.com, instead I keep getting emails stating I am sending to the wrong address while I am sending exactly to that address. Every time I point that out I get another email from them stating exactly the same thing again - that I need to send it to the cancellation address?!
So infuriating! They have no idea what they are doing and rip you off on purpose. Stay AWAY!
They have ripped me off like everyone else commenting. I have reported them to BBC Watchdog and as many Internet sites as possible.
Please you can do more. I too have been scammed. Write emails to flight search engines like Skyscanner.net asking them to stop showing results from eDreams. They are scammers.
I recently booked flights to Barcelona with Edreams because they came out the cheapest only to discover they bill separately for their service on top of the flights!!
This works out way more than you think in fact I am paying more!!1
I will never be using E-dreams again and would strongly advise against using them TOTAL RIP-OFF!!

I am presently trying to get an issue solved with Edreams as the airline changed one of our connecting flight scedules which makes it impossible to connect at all. About six weeks ago after recieving automatically generated notification of the change I emailed Edreams about it. After a long wait and two more written attempts with no reply, I rang. They promised to find alternatives and get back by email in 2 or 3 days....6 days later and three more phone calls one after the other, ( thankfully using cheap skype as we are in Asia) left us still with no results and the excuse that they are waiting to hear back from airline about options. Told to wait another day or two. Rang again tonight, they tried again to directly ring airline while I waited, no success..... Meanwhile we now less than three weeks till flights out, alternative prices are going up and up. About ready to call it quits, cancel and find alternatives, but still hedging due to losses and 4 to 6 week wait they mention to get money put back onto credit card...... Won't be quick to use these guys again even if it does work out, and will tell friends to avoid them. The phone service personnel have generally been ok apart from one semi rude one, but the overall service is terrible. I did ask to speak to a manager, but not possible they said. Wish I had thought to check these reviews before making the mistake of booking with Edreams!!!!

A few years ago I used eDreams to find some cheap airplane tickets and everything was working fine. However the past year both times I booked a ticket with them I encountered issues. First they could not process my credit card, the second time the website broke down. After hours of struggle I decided to cancel my booking... so I called their office in Barcelona for some help, but the lady picking up the line was really rude to me and it took several phone calls (another few hours) to get it cancelled. I am really disappointed in this website, before it was much better... :(

Edreams should be renamed Enightmares. I visited the Edreams website and found a flight London/Shenyang/London that suited my pocket and my timing. But I needed the return flight to have changeable dates.
Edreams told me via their chargeable helpline that I could see this information on screen just prior to payment. The information was not visible until after payment and I then found out the return flight dates could NOT be changed.
The transaction was immediate voided minus a "service fee" of £31.42p. I made a claim for return of the service fee because no service was received and the transaction was based upon misinformation. The company refused point blank to make any refund of the service fee even though I proposed a goodwill 50/50 split.

After ordering tickets I got the message that I had to send copy of both side of credit card and passports to confirm, as they were not able to reach my credit card.
I got suspicious and called the bank, who told me that edreams allready had reserved the money. I had to close my credit card to awoid getting robbed by edreams!
After the Spainair company crash I lost a connecting flight from Barcelona to Alicante. A few days after the crash announcement I received a general mail explaining that one of the booked (and paid for !!!) flights was canceled and that I should contact the company. They did not say which company !!
Since 28. January 2012 I have sent 6 different mails to firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org and I have received NO REPLIES AT ALL !!
As a result I have been forced to make other arrangements as replacement for the lost flight and to pay for it, where in fact it should have been the work and service done by eDreams, who was quick enough to charge me for the flight when I booked….
eDreams is by far the worst company I have ever had the doubtful pleasure of dealing with. They charge your credit card right after your booking even though there are 3 months or more till the first flight, they do not reimburse the price for canceled flights and they never replies to any mails.
I have bought my last flight through this company and I recommend everyone else to consider using another flight provider.
