What can I say that other reviewers haven't already ?
Ordered a TV on 07/12/13 for a scheduled delivery date of 21/12/13. Received an email on that date informing me that due to a "stock error", delivery was put back to w/c 06/01/014. As it was to be a Xmas present I cancelled the order straight away, expecting the money to be returned to my credit card soon after.
Not so ! Numerous emails sent (all ignored) & phone calls made (all straight to an answering machine), so got in touch with Trading Standards for advice and my credit card company so they could attempt to retrieve the money.
Eventually I threatened them with court action if the money wasn't returned (via email, so no idea if it's been read or received), but am glad to say the money has eventually been credited to my account.
All these bad reviews make me wonder if they're nothing more than a bunch of scammers who don't actually have anything to sell.......
Ordered a TV on 16th December as a Christmas present for my partner. Money was taken out of my account on 19th December. Emails from EDC confirming my order. Then email stating it would be delivered W/C 30th December. Okay too late for Christmas but on its way!!!. No TV delivered. Then another email stating stock allocated and it was due for delivery 9th January. It did not arrive. Emailed EDC 3 times and did not receive any reply. Telephoned them but all I got was ansaphone. Left messages on 3 occasions but no response. Telephoned Allied wallet and they promised to contact me within 2 days. They didn't. Emailed Allied wallet again via their website an again received no reply. Reported matter to my credit card company and again contacted Allied Wallet via live chat and they told me they hadn't contacted me because they hadn't been able to contact EDC. Today February 4th I have received the money back in my credit card account.. Unfortunately I am unable to give this company a minus star to leave a review but the 1 star is too generous.
Remember them companies from the late 80s when the internet really first started when you bought something and never knew if it was going to arrive? Welcome back to the 80s with this company...
Purchased a tv from them (well I never got the tv to be fair) on the 7/12. Received an email from them a couple of days later advising that the delivery would be on the 21.12. Needless to say 21.12 came and went no delivery. Then the fun started...
Tried and tried to contact the company via phone and email without success. Then I finally got an email from them advising that the delivery would be the 11.1. However this company didn't let me down with its poor service and failure to meet deadlines as even though we stayed in the whole time, the tv never turned up.
Worst company I have ever dealt with and takes you back to the 80s
This company has now let me down for delivery 3 weeks in a row for a TV ordered in November we wanted for Christmas. Phone or emails are never answered by them. They are still taking online orders for the model we ordered despite telling us that there is a stock error. That excuse was after server down 2 weeks in a row. This company is a joke, an online company with a server down for 2 weeks, I don't think so !! Stay away.
Unfortunately I did not read the Trustpilot reviews before I ordered. I will set out the order history and you can make up your own mind. I ordered a TV on 7/11/13, website said in stock. They e-mailed to say delivery 16/11/13. On 15/11/13 e-mailed me to say due to server problems delivery would be on 23/11/13. Late on the evening of 22/11/13 e-mailed me to say that due to server problems delivery would be on 30/11/13. As I would be away on this date I tried to 'phone without success as the 'phone seems to be permanently on voice mail. I e-mailed them and someone called [name] rang me back on 25/11/13 and agreed to deliver on 3/12/13. I waited in all day and no one came to deliver. On 4/12/13 I managed to speak to a person who said they were [name], though sounded different from the previous [name] (namely the first sounded like a woman and this one sounded like a man) and he/she said they would get back to me. As I heard nothing by the end of the day I e-mailed, this resulted in a standard e-mail late in the evening saying that delivery was now put back to 11/12/13. By now I had had enough so at the 4th attempt on 5/12/13 I managed to get through on the 'phone and spoke to [name]. It was now 28 days since I placed the order and by their own contract terms I could withdraw, and this I did. I am currently awaiting credit card refund. I also reported this matter to Wolverhampton Trading Standards, and I am awaiting to hear from them.
I originally went onto their website as a result of a Google advert showing this as the cheapest TV, of the model I wanted, maybe it was too good to be true! You have been warned!
i purchased a tv got confirmation then nothing a week and half later they rang and arranged delivery waited all day on delivery day nothing ,i emailed as phone just goes to answer machine 2 days later they contacted me no reason for not delivering just said i could cancel or wait for another delivery day so cancelled said refund within 3-5 working days 10 days later still no refund and ignoring all emails phone still goes to answer machine avoid this company at all costs might be the cheapest but sometimes you have to pay more to get what you want
Tried to buy a tv, recieved conformation of order and then nothing, no reply to emails and phone no is to an orange answer service to whitch no-one replies. After 10 days i have not got a single reply, all i want is to know whats going on.Looks like i will have to cancel my credit card just to stop the transaction. They may be cheap but its not worth the hassle.
I ordered a TV through their website as google shopping showed it to be the cheapest.
5 days later without no contact from them and no replies to my emails I called my credit card company to find out they had not taken the money (thank god). So they must have stored my credit card details.
I prompty cancelled my credit card and will buy elsewhere.
