After numerous calls to various places, the guitar i wanted was with fair deal, they explained the payment methods fully and as soon as i ordered the guitar was dispatched, it came the next day first thing, impressive service and for the last guitar in the model i wanted, dicontinued too, great service and im so happy i finally i got an Ibanez RG350MDX back

The best guitar stand on the market

Maybe you'll get your stuff, maybe you won't

I ordered a keyboard with stand, bag and "akai chord finder." The keyboard turned up fairly quickly with the wrong stand. I emailed the shop. Took 5 days for a reply. I phoned when the reply came. I explained I wanted a temporary style stand because the keyboard would be moved a lot. I was assured that the stand supplied could do that. Although it was attached by screws, you didn't have to use the screws. This is not true, it is a permanent style stand. I've ebayed it rather than deal with the shop again. As for the chord finder, I was told it'll be put in the post. A week later and it hasn't arrived. The bag is on order, but I'm not holding my breath. So far its 17 days after I originally ordered the stuff. Perhaps I should be grateful that at least the correct keyboard arrived, but for now I will not be using fair deal again.

is the first time I buy at this store and I will probably buy more often. the material is in good condition and well packaged, as i use the online store, the service was always done by email but despite some delays in responses they were always helpful and competent.
I suggest you try to shorten the time between purchase and delivery, compared with other online stores two weeks is a bit lengthy.

No complaints from me, quick dispatch and what was missed from the order was once again dispatched very quick, Andy was very helpful, pleasant and gave the company a good impression. Not forgetting the delivery company used very quick and informed by email as to the delivery time with only 1hour window. I would recommend these companies to all.

I ordered a guitar pedal which I was needing for a gig two weeks away, so thinking I had plenty of time, ordered the pedal and got an email saying they'd email me when my package would be dispatched, I waited and waited, giving them the benefit of the doubt, a week after I ordered the pedal I emailed them with no reply, 9 days after I ordered the pedal I rang them and spoke to a friendly guy explaining that they had had some faults with the pedals they had had in, so were waiting on new ones, which is fair, but it'd have been nice if they had told me this before I ordered it, they promised me as soon as they got the new pedals though they'd post it to me next day, two days before the gig (13th) I got a dispatch notice email telling me it had been sent and I would receive it the next day (14th) I waited around the next day for it to turn up and nothing, waited around on the day of the gig (15th) for as long as I could till I had to go and still nothing, I know the delivery is out of fair deal's hands but I suggest they use a different carrier that sticks to its next day promise, I still have not had anything through (17th), I'm sure fair deal are usually very good so will use them again

5-star Service On-Line and In-Store!

Ordered an assortment of guitar stands online having bought two guitars for my twin daughters 'live' at Fair Deal's Music Shop in Birmingham. In both cases the prices were very competitive. That, plus the friendly, helpful, knowledgable and very efficient service, both at the shop and on-line, was second to none. Happy to recommend Fair Deal Music to anyone....... and no, I don't work for them!

I ordered a refurbished keyboard at 11. 50pm at night and two days later it was here. very impressed with how quick it is particularly as its a free delivery. Also by emialing you in what time bracket their going to deliver is very useful. product looked brand new and works perfectly. very good website wish more were like it! will definitly use again. best price online too

Really pleased with this transaction. I bought a guitar effects pedal online as a birthday gift for my son and chose the wrong one! Entirely my own fault but they replaced the pedal without a quibble when I went to the store. Everyone was friendly and I will be shopping there again.

Fantastic Customer Service and range of Products

I purchase a lot of musical equipment and Fair Deal Music are a company which i feel i can try before i buy with great ease. The service by the staff is unbelievable, Nothing is too much trouble and always happy to see you. The shop is brilliantly laid out with different brands neatly organised along with the amps and pedals. Such a great store and one you should defiantly check out, not only for its products but also for its incredible customer service.

waited a week!

I ordered an Akai MPD18 online from Fairdeal music. (after I went to there physical store in Birmingham and they didn't have it!) so i was recommended to purchase it online.

I ordered it on a Wednesday and it came a week later, Which the person told me in the store that it will only take 2 business days! but overall, i have bought things from them in the past. But a week was a bit to much to wait, when i was told 2 business days for delivery!

Purchased Yamaha guitar for my daughter - cheapest price found on internet and included free bag. Arrived next day by brilliant delivery service that let me know to the hour when to expect my parcel. Item perfect condition - an excellent service all round.

Very Fair, great Deal .. Done

I looked to purchase an amp from them through Amazon, but due to a Technical fault the site displayed that they were in stock when in fact they were'nt. I emailed the company through Amazon, voiced my concerns and was met with sympathy and compensation. I was offered a B-Stock version of the same product at a dramatically reduced price. The merchant I worked with was very helpful and quick in response, the Amp arrived yesterday (2 days after it was ordered, free delivery) and it is in perfect condition, and sounds great.

The customer service was handled perfectly and I would definitely use this company again. I cannot recommend them enough.

I've been using their Ebay store to buy guitar strings for a while now and cannot fault them. Items are delivered quickly. Never had a problem when contacting the staff with any questions, they always get back to you quickly and seem happy to help.

Very very late

I ordered a Yamaha P155 digital piano in black, a piano stand, a piano stool and a Roland KC60 amp. The main bulk came fine except for the amp, but this I still haven't received after over a month of waiting, with no apology or update. It took several emails to the sales department to find out what was happening. They offered no compensation or better model, and as I've had several gigs and had to borrow or pay to hire amps for them, it's ridiculous!

Edit: I eventually received my amp after 2 months of waiting - an alternative, more expensive amp was offered with slight discount, or a display one that I would eventually have to send back. Several emails have been ignored, but service on the rest is generally good, and the service I had in-store was very good.

Horrible

The price was good but the item took almost a month to arrive, and my emails to their sales@ address were seemingly all ignored as I didn't get a single response. I would not risk using Fair Deal Music again.

Good value. Item arrived 2 days early in perfect condition. Was kept updated with tracking/dispatch/delivery information. What more can you ask for? Will be using them again, no doubt.

Purchased a supposedly brand-new electronic drum kit online.

Soon became evident from the poor condition of the packaging and the visible wear and tear marks on the drum pads that the kit was infact SECOND-HAND.

The set was also missing its throne and bass pedal - stated as being inclusive of the drum package.

The module and other elements had to be returned because of being faulty, only for them to get ‘lost’ in the post (staff reported as to having no recollection of me stating items were defective – it was them who initially requested me to return them!).

Staff were extremely rude, unhelpful and lied throughout the entire process.

I also bought a ‘new’ electric guitar alongside the drum kit order, only for this to arrive as well in a sorry state – packaging badly damaged, deep scratches to the guitar and parts absent.

Staff again were extremely unhelpful by having no determination to rectify the situation – outrageous considering the vast amounts of money spent on the two instruments.

I have had a terrible experience overall and would strongly advise people to avoid this company at all costs.

Good luck if you are currently pursuing problems with this business – I am obviously a nuisance to them now asking for what I have paid for and, as a result, have had my email address blacklisted!

Wouldn't use again.

I purchased some monitors from them via E bay. When the product arrived the monitors were correct but the cables and headphones it was supposed to come with were not as advertised. I telephoned and was told they would send out the correct ones, but it never happened. To be honest I'm not going to bother chasing them again, I will not be using them again. Especially on larger orders if that is the attitude.

Great company. Been using them for years.

I've purchased most of my guitars and almost all of my live gear from Fair Deal. They're a great company, the staff are always very helpful and informative and they always give a very competitive price so you know you really are getting the most for your money there. This is the first time I've ever used their online service as I'd usually just go into the store but as I'm currently living down south I can't do that. The item arrived well packaged in fantastic condition and only a day after dispatch! The only downside was the time it took for my order to process and the item to be dispatched which was over a week. But honestly, for the difference in price than it would have been to buy it from somewhere else I was happy to wait.
Very satisfied with their service. I will continue to use them in future and recommend anybody to do the same.

Excellent service, items arrived in perfect condition only 2 days after placing order. Very competitive price and a store not too far away should I have any problems, but I don't anticipate any!

Good service! And I am sure that the delivery was superb.... Because of very slow Norwegian post service it took nearly 2 weeks to get here. Not fair Deal Music's fault. I'll buy from them again.
