I order a domain name and host for my fiancé as a birthday present. I'm fairly compute by with computers but have never built a website before. I found the site builder tool easy to use and had everything I needed. I am very pleased with the outcome! I know my partner will love it when I show him next week!

Amazing service, and fast responsive helpdesk, I have also had dedicated servers with them in the past and those are also extremely quickly set up and ready to use.
Set up my web hosting here and found the packages on offer great value for money considering what's included. Friendly customer service for when things do become a little confusing or you have a question that isn't immediately answered by all the support on offer.
Well Where do I start.....
Well I have made 3 phone calls so far to "Abroad " and spoken to people who;s English is pretty crap and the first call that I made I really thought I was talking to a computer ..Well 2 weeks in the this "easy to install website is still no where finsihed and I have now got a error when I try to install my First ,,,YES first Picture ...Sooooo that means another phone call to the philo's ..abroad.... wooopeeee
I chose Fasthost because they are only about 16 miles away from where I live and I thought that if i had any problems then they would help me out in good old Gloucester ,,,as they did with my other website... But NO llets pass everything abroad to people who can't speak hardly any English and Well ..need I say anymore ..This EASY WEBSITE BUILDER has been totally CRAP ..I have still not got it anywhere finsihed and I really wish I had never ever gone to Fasthosts, I have 3 more sister companies that I will be requiring a website for and there is NO WAY that i will ever use Fasthosts again ...Unless they bring there Help desks back to the UK ,,,
Crap Crap Crap .this whole experience has been and that is being really polite when I say that .
So i would really appreciate a phone call from A ENGLISH PERSON WHO CAN SORT THESE PROBLEMS OUT .... But I bet you you wont ...Take the money and run
Worst experience ever for customer relations ...
I had a good experience whilst purchasing and the system was ok when first using however we are a travel agents and have had seriious issues in sending emails to our tour operators - this issue has been know by Fast Hosts for at least 2 months but has still not been rectified and the IP ADDRESS from which emails are sent has been BLACKLISTED!!!
No one has called me back dispite numerous requests and no one will speak to us to resolve the issue we keep receiveng threads to open up new EMAIL ACCOUNTS!!!
We can not run a business from numerous email address's - we were not advised of their issues and problems when we signed up and were totally misssold the product.

I have been on a Wordpress course and thought it would be easy to subscribe to fasthosts and download Wordpress. i was wrong. I didn't understand all the jargon and, when I made one phone call, I spoke to an Indian man who didn't understand what I was talking about.
I have not used any other hosting facility, but on this basis I would certainly not recommend you to anyone.
I ended up sending emails to my Wordpress tutor who helped me understand how to get online.
So far, so good. It was fairly easy to sign up with Fasthosts and they offer the service I was after (domain name and email redirection) at very reasonable price. Their web site isn't the funkiest and most intuitive to use (but I got it sorted) and I just have to hope there's no problem when I come to renew subscription on my domain in a few years time.
I purchaced the 'gold' fasthosts hosting package with website builder and eshop thinking it would be easier to have everything in one place, how wrong I was! The site builder package states it requires little technical skill and will take two hours to set up. 5 weeks it took me and the help of 3 brothers (two of which are graphic designer and one of which has a HND in computering). We all found sitebuilder glitchy, difficult to navigate and unsuitable for my needs. The eshop option failed to show up, (which was a fasthost issue) and while searching for it my brother managed to install extra pages so I was paying double for my hosting. Fasthost could not refund without wiping my site. The templates are limited,not flexible enough and centreing of pictures does not work on some also pictures often fail to upload. The sitebuilder will not run properly on anything other than internet explorer. The eshop doesn't have a quanity option so you can not enter the amount of stock you have available, no good for people like me who sell one off items. You can add a paypal button with each item but no shopping cart on that option so the customer has to go through the whole payment system for each item. I now have a site that will be costing me ten pounds a month (once the promtional period is over) which is no more than a front for my ebay shop. Truely awful although I must say the technical support team are great considering what they have to work with!

I would recommend fasthosts as a service provider but you will need to buy your own website construction software.
site builder is poor and doesn't work properly yet they said it does and that's the end of it. There not fast host at all, sites take a while to load that's if its not down, there help service and people are no help, they just pass the book and blame your equipment. I would not recommend these at all and neither would most at the college that i'm at. I'm also trapped till the end of contract even though problems have been there from day one and not fixed.

This service was easy to use with the domain name i wanted and all the costs were made clear up front with out any complicated small print or over technical jargon .i would definetely recommend fast hosts to anyone looking for an available domain name at reasonable cost.
OK - Here's the deal, I spent about three months and wasted some hard earned cash before a friend recommended Fasthosts. So in order to save you time and money, just go with Fasthosts for your hosting and website purchases. They really do what they say and the response is so quick and easy, it's like good old fashioned service. they currently host four websites for me and everything just happens, which is what I wanted before I joined them. Wish I'd seen a recommendation like this one.
I'm really glad I chose to go with Fasthosts; it was so easy to use the simple instructions for setting up the web addresses I wanted, I felt confident I was using a reputable company and I would most recommend them to anyone.
Any new business client should be aware that you automatically enter into a 12 month contract with fast host - without any cooling off period. You do not receive the terms and conditions explaining this until after you have said yes, so there is absolutely no way that you can cancel at a later date. When you ask for consideration to be given to a cancellation, you are treated in a patronising and unprofessional manner. Please think very carefully before you agree to any product from Fasthost.
On many occasions, due to being new at this and very inexperienced, I have contacted Fasthosts, via Email, for assistance.
I never have to wait for long for a response.
Thanks to them, I am now flying through my website, which I never ever thought I'd be able to achieve.
They have made the whole experience relaxing, fun and enjoyable.
I quite like fasthosts, initially it annoyed me a bit that they have to call you in order to complete your registration, which felt like overkill but it has made it seem more like I'm dealing with a real team rather than just automated email responses.
They have lots of support documentation online which has really helped me to get my site up and running.
My only criticism would be that their interfaces are sometimes a bit confusing and its not always obvious which links will lead you to the right areas, the information is always there eventually but you sometimes have to go the long way round to find it!
We generally find the service form Fasthosts to be very pleasing, and hence we continue to use your services. However, you do really try our patience at times - we don't appreciate the numerous emails you send each day to [email 1] while the account is actually in the name of [email 2]; such is a MAJOR security issue you MUST rectify. I'm sure any potential customers will be interested to know that repeatedly we have asked you to correct this, but you show yourselves incapable or perhaps disinterested - this is rather worrying seeing as we store company data on your servers, and really would like reassurance that you have all in control! We also would appreciate some consistency with your Support staff - some of who are most helpful, and even seem delighted to receive a support ticket, while others seem very disinterested, one lazy employee even suggesting I search online for the answer.

Even when things went a miss with my first transfer a quick email and things wetter back on track in no time at all.
No hidden costs, all the information you need and a team who respond with knowledgeable responses ... I'd pay more for the service :-)
