`They are gone, along with my £700. I tried their website(to see if it is still live) to place another order and you can't complete a payment on there. They blatantly lied about suppliers not delivering to them, and because the majority of traders are honest, I believed them. The Leeds branch has gone and local info is that it never seemed to trade and was seldom open. Fortunately it appears I have partial protection on Barclaycard, although they are acting cagily.
Updated 30 June, just want to warn people this Company have still not been in touch about refunding my money and I have had to pay again for goods I needed. The lady was very pushy on 28 May to get me to place order which I did £490. She told me delivery would be in 5 days. Well now it is ten, I cannot get them on the phone and I have read the reviews on here. Since being hassled by phone to pay by debit card etc, zilch that is what I have heard from them. We need this stuff now for a house we are renovating and I thought had ordered in plenty of time. Have contacted my bank to try and get debit card payment back.
I hope word gets out this company are disreputable and very disappointing, I normally have a really good online shopping experience, but it seems to me this lady at First Bathrooms was just intent on taking my hard earned cash without any intention of sending me any goods!
A week ago I ordered by direct debit online from this wretched company and have suffered all the hassle that others report - no delivery, not able to get through on the phone ( sounds disconnected ), no reply to e-mails etc. Clearly the company is either insolvent, or is a complete scammer. My bank is taking it up and, hopefully, they will refund me. But, meanwhile no basin unit, which will put me two weeks behind with some renovation work. GRRRR! Chris Brown Winchester
Like so many others I placed my order with Firstbathrooms in good faith, I only wish I had know about Trustpilot then. Order placed Thurs 30th May money deducted from my debit account 01 June 2013. On the Monday like other I contacted the company and spoke to a chap who gave me the story about the computers, offered to call me back and never did.
I have since called them at different times of the day and either they line was engaged or had to hold on because they were extremely busy. I like others spoke to Companies House and got the same reply, surely they must be getting suspicious.
They have had over £300 of my money and I have nothing to show for it, and from what everyone else has said I don't expect to receive it either.
I have spoken to my bank and they are going to send me a claim form but that is going to take 7 - 10 working days, then depending what information I can give them will determine how quickly they will give me my money back. Could do without all this extra hassle.

I have just emailed Watchdog, I suggest everyone else does the same, then we might get somewhere, and stop this happening to others.
brought a bath, they sent the wrong bath so rearranged for the new one to come, waited and waited until they said they were out of stock so cancelled the order, they came and picked up the wrong bath and i have still had no refund yet 2weeks later, have phoned and emailed and cannot get through. Now the phone number is not being recognised!! sooooo angry grrr
Just received our order and the sinks are in about 30 pieces and smashed up. Company doesn't answer the phone anymore, must have gone bust like everyone is saying. They must have done a runner and just left everything which i think is disgusting. Obviously no conscience.

Like everyone else I ordered on 27th May and tried Monday, Tuesday and yesterday of this week to try and find out when delivery was. Monday I spoke to someone who said the computer system wasdown so they could not track the order - but would phone me back. They have over £3000.00 from me - money which i cannot replace - from my pension payment - and a bathroom half demolished. The money was taken out on 28th and 29th of May so they must have known they would not be able to deliver. This is fraud.
Hi I ordered a toilet from First Bathrooms on the 28th May and was told that I would be called by the carrier on Wednesday 5th June to arrange delivery today the 6th June. I thought I would call First Bathroom on Wednesday just to get some up to date info from them regarding delivery. I spent all day trying to get through on their 8045 561 0033 number and all I got was a constant recorded message telling me that they would get back to me soon and they were experiencing a high level of calls. I started calling again this morning only to fing the same situation. I have called all of the numbers I can find and every one has the same recorded message. I suspect that they are having problems and am worried that they may have ceased trading. I have spoken to the insolvency office and they tell me that as far as they are concerned the company is still trading, however it would be some time maybe months before they would know. Does anybody else have problems with this company ?
if you are lookin for a bathroom or shower try have a look at local shops that you can talk to real people and not a voice, people who arent after makin quick money but companys offering a service and back up if you should need it. i know i own my own shop and do well doin the above but if something gos wrong will always try and do are best to sort it out. Cheepest isnt always the best because what dos every one do know after a year when the product gos faulty who helps them out.
placed order three weeks ago for £1025 received one e.mail confirmine order and nothing more wont answer phones or e.mails companies house say they are still trading so its probably a last grab at as many other peoples money as possible before they stick two fingers up wish i had read reviews first.
Company has gone Bankrupt but still taking orders through the website do not order from them. They have literally just gone under in the last day or so. I know about it through the industry, I cant say anymore im afraid.
The last post was 100% correct, they will take your money, they will not deliver the products you have ordered and they will not answer the phone or email! I am a plumber and have ordered many things from first bathrooms over the past few years, aside from some bad customer service, generally I have had no problems, until now! I placed an order on the 23/05/13 for £505.76 (ref:92619). It was supposed to arrive within 5 working days. It did not! After checking my account I noticed it still said the order was picking? I have sent e mails and spent literally hours on hold, only for no one to answer the phone or return my emails! These items were for a job I'm supposed to start this Monday the 10/06/13, my customer paid me and I have paid first bathrooms for the items! It seems to me these are tell tail signs of a company that's about to go bankrupt, which has now left me in the horrible situation of trying to explain to my customer what's happened to there money! Unlike first bathrooms, I do care and I will refund my customer there money!!! Which leaves me £500.00 out of pocket! SAVE YOURSELVES THE TIME,HASSLE AND MONEY,DO NOT SHOP WITH FIRST BATHROOMS!
First bathrooms will take your money, not deliver a product, not tell you that they won't be delivering a product, then not give you a refund on a product you've cancelled.
Tried to buy a shower enclosure, 2 weeks after their delivery window I ordered from a different company and cancelled theirs. I waited patiently for their ridiculous 30 day window to end, no refund.
That was 9th May, I phoned them on 28th May to be told accounts "weren't in that day" but they would call me back at 9:30 the following day. 2 days later I cannot get an answer on their customer services line.
I have emailed the company to say they have left me with no option but to take them to court. I will also be contacting Trading Standards.
On 27/4/13 I bought a vanity unit for £389.99. Payment went through and I tracked the site for the next few days which said it was 'processing' but 'awaiting telephone'. I finally emailed on 4/5/13 to ask for an update. Emailed back the same day to say they had emailed on 30/4/13 to say product was discontinued - an email I did not receive although it may have gone into 'junk folder'. I emailed to ask for refund but heard nothing. Called them on 10/5/13 as I was interested in another item and to chase refund. The customer service person was very pleasant and as helpful as she could be about another product I wanted to buy ( I will NOT be buying this item now so they have lost another £300 sale. However I was told I could not be put through to Accounts and that they 'were within their rights not to refund for 30 days'. As they had taken money for an item that does not exist I disputed this and gave 5 days to be refunded. I AM STILL WAITING. I have reported them to Trading Standards and advise anyone else who has had bad service to do the same. I will also be contacting 'Which?' and my bathroom fitter will be telling future customers to avoid them. Wish I had read the other reviews before dealing with them. NEVER EVER buy from these people.
I have ordered twice from this place, the first time there was damage to th ebath and half the fittings were missing. they replaced the damaged bath and the missing fittings in a reasonable time frame. The second order was a nightmare. Firstly the whole order was sent (late, not when they said it would be) to the wrong address (the billing address and not the delivery address) so i had to move a whole suite in my car to the correct address. Then a shower part was missing. I rang up and was told that it would be coming promptly the next day. Nothing arrived and i called up again and was told someone would look into it and call me back, nobody did. I called again the following day and was told the same thing again and again nobody called back. When i called again the same day , they told me it was too late to look into it and they would call me back the following day. I did recieve a call the following day saying that i shall now be recieving the part in a few days. So after FIVE phone calls and FIVE days they have managed to sort out a replacement , Lets see what happens. Also each time you call, you will be on hold waiting for a minimum of 10-15 minutes. Will not be dealing with these guys again.
We have been looking for shower enclosures and stumbled across first bathrooms, found exactly what we wanted at a fraction of the price, delivered next day, fitted perfectly plus there is a telephone number if you want to check before you buy. We have recommended this site to friends and family.
