Not what I expected!!

It looked good - £56 offered for a barely used ipod (3rd gen hardware)... Unfortunately they claimed it had a fault (worked fine when I sent it - I checked!!). They gave me a rubbish £5 - would of got more in a rag market!!

The iPod we received from you would not restore and we therefore offered you a revised price for it via email. You were under no obligation to accept the revised offer and we would gladly have returned the item to you at no charge. Instead you accepted the offer via email on 7th November stating "I am happy for the order below to continue to be processed." I am therefore a little confused as to why you did not instead request for the item to be returned rather than happily accept the offer.

Excellent way to cash in unwanted electrical goods

Never used them before so was not sure of what to expect. Clear and regular communication (by email) and fast payment received. Unable to fault so have to give them the 5 stars. I would certainly recommend.

I was looking to sell my i pod I came across this company after serching aroud a little they are the ones who offerd me the best price.They are unbeliverably fast at responding with their responding to queries. sent of my item had the money less than 48 hrs after they recived my item. if you have something to sell use them..

Great, simple experience!

I found this website whilst comparing the prices I could get on recycling my old ipod touch, and I have not been disappointed. First I received a great price for it (more than I was expecting). Then I sent it to the address that they provided, and I was paid very soon after. I was contacted by email throughout each step of the process. I have no complaints at all.

Great price and quick payment

Gadget Panda offered the best price for my phone. I emailed their support people to check what needed to be sent with it, and got a reply within 2 hours, even though it was Saturday afternoon. Send the phone on the Monday, they confimed they had it on Tuesday, and the money was in my account on Thursday. Couldn't have gone smoother.

The best company out there!

I searched for prices online for my iPod and this was by far the highest!
The transaction was so smooth and so quick from getting quote to receiving money took around four days at most!

Excellent service

Out of everywhere I looked on the web to find the best place to sell my iPhone these guys definitely gave the highest price. They are so easy to use and keep you updated at every step of the process. Great Service and Very Quick !

Sold my iPad 2 with these guys, they gave me price for the ipad on-line and it was the price that I got once I sent it off. Which was much higher then anywhere else.

Email Updates through out the sale process letting me know the status and helping to give me confidence on my order. I paid extra for delivery, because the value of the item, once they had received the iPad i got paid within 2 days.

Would highly recommend, i have used other similar websites and services but this has to be the better one of them.

Erroneous Marks Decreased Price

After hearing such positive reviews about this company I decided to proceed with my order of selling my iPod Nano. Initial estimate of £38 seemed very good indeed compared to other 3rd party companies, however I then received an email to say that it had 'less than 3 scratches on the front' and decreased the value to £28.50, although still a fair price I accepted, but I know for a sure that the equipment was in pristine condition when it left, so I would like to know where the 'scratches' appeared from. Would I recommend them...most likely as it was a smooth transaction.

We inspect all items closely in order to apply a grade. Unfortunately this item was deemed to have light marks to the front and we felt it was not like new to the front as described. Perhaps you did not notice these marks? We do not favour revising prices, but the value of the item is directly related to its actual condition. We even pay sellers more than quoted when an item is received in a better condition than they described (please see other reviews).

You were also under no obligation to accept the offer and we would gladly have returned the item for free should you have requested it.

entire process was exactly as advertised. had my iPad priced online on day 1, sent it off the same day at it arrived the next (I paid for signed-for shipping out of my pocket) which they confirmed within 24hours.

got paid with no fuss 3 days later.

I've never used a service like this before and was VERY skeptical ... I was geared for either a long drawn out debate re. price/condition or some other 'gotcha' or worse still ... kissing my iPad goodbye altogether. I'm happy to say I was COMPLETELY wrong

The process was straightforward and transparent ... the price offered was very competitive ... money transferred into my account with NO FUSS in a timely manner ... right on schedule. I was kept informed at each stage.

I was totally surprised when they emailed me to say that they had upped my payment by £8 as they said my iPod was in better condition. I am very happy. I don't think other websites would pay more then they originally offered. Would certainly use again and I will tell all my friends.

The cheque that was posted to you on time was unfortunately lost in the postal system, which is something that is outside of our direct control and can happen from time to time. When you notified us that your cheque had not yet arrived we immediately responded with an apology. We then offered to transfer the funds directly to your bank account, so that you wouldn’t have to wait for a replacement cheque, which you accepted. After you provided your account details we immediately issued the funds to your account.

We are disappointed that your cheque was lost on this occasion but feel that we were quick to respond to your communications and got payment to you quickly once you had informed us of the issue.

Highly recommended

I have nothing but positive things to say about this company and have used them a few times. The few neg comments on here must be by people who were probably dishonest about the state of the gadget they sent in. When the price of my iPod was dropped by a fiver the first time I used them I happily accepted, as I must admit that I had not been entirely truthful when selecting the condition on their website. So if the shoe fits, wear it. I received the full quoted price for my DS I sent in a few weeks later. Gadget Panda are very quick to pay and kept me up to speed throughout the process. I definitely recommend them.

Would never use again

My experience was not good with this company. I sent them my iPad 32gb as my on-line quote was £200 - boxed, full working order, usb lead and in my opinion excellent condition as it has had a full cover on from Day 1.

When they received my iPad they sent me an offer of £120! I checked the website and i found in the time i had sent my iPad they had dramatically dropped the price of the trade in on iPad 1 which is fine, but I found they had rated my iPad in bad condition - scratched front and back, with a dent on the side apparently!

I can understand there to be a difference in opinion for the condition but not by this much! What make it worse in my opinion is that they will only agree to the price quoted if they agree the condition, so where as my iPad could have been worth £160 in the condition that they though it was, because the only agreed price is £200 they new price is now £120 which I think is wrong, and i would have been happy to accept the £160.

All's well that ends well though, I asked for my iPad back and then I sent it to Carphonewarehouse yesterday and they have just replied by email agreeing the top price of an excellent condition iPad of £160.77 (which probably would have been more if i hadn't have had my time wasted by Gadgetpanda!

1. Unfortunately the item we received on this occasion had clearly visible scratches to the screen and a small dent beside the volume control buttons and was therefore not 'like new' as you described. We therefore offered you a revised price which was in line with the actual condition of the item. You declined the offer and we returned the item to you free of charge.

2. You are correct in stating that the prices had changed on our website during the time it took your item to arrive with us. All quoted prices however are valid for a period of 14 days from the time of the order. As explained in my email response to you when you queried the revised offer - If an item is received in the same condition that it was described as at the time of the sale then the original offer price will stand. If an item price is revised then the latest prices are quoted. Only the original offer price is valid for 14 days from the time of sale.

We ask that sellers are totally honest about an item condition when selling, to avoid disappointment and delays when an offer price is revised. We unfortunately do not pay 'like new' prices for items that are scratched and dented.

Very Reliable , Fast and Quick Service

I had an excellent experience in selling my First Gen iPad. I was paid in my account the full money as what i was estimated.
It took just 3 days for the credit to happen and their customer service promptly emailed me the status on once they received my post.

Excellent Trustworthy Service

I was a little nervous about using a service like this as I had heard numerous claims that original price offers were reduced when the item was received. However, Gadget Panda's website had such good categorisation of condition that I found it really easy to state what condition my iPhone was in. It was also one of the only websites to give credit for having the original box etc. Communication was great throughout the process and I received exactly what I was quoted in my bank without 48 hours of them receiving the phone. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and will use them again in the future.

Really Impressed

I tried Gadget Panda after reading a review on mumsnet. At the same time I tried another similar service to sell some other items. Gadget Panda was absolutely fantastic, quick, easy and trustworthy. Comumication was perfect and the transaction was so efficient (the other company I tried has still not paid). I would highly recommend Gadget Panda, it seems a little scary to post your belongings to an unknown company but believe me they are 100% trustworthy.

Good and Efficient

I was really impressed with the speed with which GadgetPanda evaluated my items and transferred money to my account. Their prices were the best I found and I got exactly what was initially quoted.

Rubbish

I sent off two items in the same envelope by recorded delivery. I received an email saying one item had been received and they also found a fault so reduced the price. I have a cheque for an amount that seems to have been plucked out of thin air. I would not recommend this company at all, I hope gadget panda becomes extinct!

You obviously seem very upset judging by your comments and so we are a little confused as to why you did not make any contact with us at all to discuss the matter. This would have given us the opportunity to hear your grievance and also for us to return the items to you if you so wished.

1. The prices we paid were not 'plucked out of thin air' but were in fact taken from our website. Item 1 that you sent in as working had a faulty hold button. Please see the clearly displayed faulty price on our website for this model, which is the price we offered. Item 2 although correctly sent in as faulty does not however power on at all. Again we clearly state that any item that does not power on will receive a maximum offer of £5.

2. We sent you a revised offer email for each of these items to allow you to decline the offers if you so wished. We would happily have returned the items to you should you have chosen to decline.

It is important for us to ensure that anyone who uses our website has a positive experience and we will be happy to discuss the issue further and also to provide any additional information that you may require.

Amazing

I was a little afraid of using a service such as GadgetPanda as I had never used it before.

However, I am truly amazed by the quality of service delivered by GadgetPanda.

After completing my order online, I packed my gadget carefully and posted it the same day with Special Delivery (which comes with insurance).
The parcel reached GadgetPanda the next day (which was a friday). On monday morning, the customer service confirmed by email that they will pay me the amount promised, and the money was into my account in a couple of hours.

I particularly appreciated the fact that the company keeps you up to date (an email when order is placed, an email to confirm that the parcel has arrived safely, an email to confirm the amount and a last email to confirm that the money has been transferred).

Trustworthy and hassle-free. I highly recommend!

best price easy and simple to use

I was looking to sell what i thought was the 1st generation ipod touch I looked around and Gadget Panda gave me the best price. I sent it off and received a conformation email when they had received it the next day they emailed me to give me a revised price only £5 less than the original price as it had finger marks on it and was actually a 2nd generation ipod. I accpted this offer and was sent a check which I recieved with in three days very very impressed kept in contact throughout and let me know what was going on. Would recomend to anyone and will be using again!

I was sceptical about this site!

I was really worried about sending our high value iPad through the post on the promise that it was genuine and I thought about it for about 3 weeks.
Once I had decided to take the risk, the offer had gone down by £25 and I could kick myself for delaying.
The money was in our bank account within a very short period of time and I would recommend anyone to use this site. It is definitely genuine and I would definitely use them again.

Chipped back the price claiming damage to an IPad that was brand new & unopened

I won a brand new IPad 2 from entering a competition but decided to sell it as we have 2 I Phone 4's in our household so couldn't see the benefit of having the IPad aswell. I contacted Gadget Panda who offered £335 for the item which I was happy with so sent it to them expecting a cheque to follow shortly after. A few days later I was e mailed advising me that they were reviewing the item value to £305 due to light scratching to the screen of the IPad, I was not impressed with this as the IPad had never been opened and was still in it's cellophaned original packaging so there is no way that there was scratching to the screen of it. I contemplated asking for them to return the IPad however as it had now been opened and turned on if I wanted to sell it I would have to advertise it as a used item and not brand new which would have probably devalued it more than the £30 they were chipping it back anyway. Just leaves a bit of a bad taste after I won the item and know that there couldn't have been any damage as it was still in it's cellophaned box that has never been opened, the e mail was obviously just a generic e mail that is sent in an obvious attempt to get all items cheaper than their original quote however on this occasion they made themselves look silly as the item was brand new & still boxed yet they claim light scratches on the screen. Dissapointing to say the least

1. We would never remove an item from its packaging if it is sealed. It does not make sense for us to do as sealed items are worth more when resold. We therefore deny your claim that the item you sent was sealed.

2. You were under no obligation to accept our revised offer for your item and we would gladly have returned it to you should you have requested this. We are a fair and honest business and understand that two people might not always see something the same way. We have no tie-in and allow our customers ample opportunity to accept or decline an offer.

3. We do not revise offer prices without reason. Where an item does not match the description the seller has provided, then we feel it fair that the price be revised to bring it in line with the actual condition. The item conditions are clearly described on our website and we ask that sellers are honest about the cosmetic state of their item when generating a quotation.

4. We seldom revise prices. If it is our business strategy to deliberately offer a lower price for every item we receive as you claim, then we would have thousands of dissatisfied customers, which is not the case.

We would be happy to further discuss the matter with you in order to reach an amicable solution. Please contact us through the website.
