Slow payment but arrived eventually

No cheque a month after the email saying it had been sent. Emailed to tell them this, and fair play to them, I had a response within 24 hours and a replacement cheque within the week.

Posted my ipods on a Thursday and the following Thursday the payment was in my bank account. I got the amount quoted and was very pleased with the service.

Everything about this company have been slow with me. It took them weeks to process my gadget, it took them weeks to send the cheque. It's been over 2 weeks and I've still not received the cheque, I've requested a second one as it may have been lost in the post. All-in-all wouldn't bother with this company again.

Very quick service.

This is the second time that I do a swap with gadgets4everyone and I'm impressed at how fast the turn around is and how they keep you up to date at every stage.

Absoloutley Disgusting Service

I sent in my iphone 4 16gb in and was quoted 50.00 pounds as the phone was faulty the phone had no scratches as the casing was new all apps worked the only fault was a ringing noise when the phone made a call. i paid for the phone to be sent in at first class signed for for the price of 2.30. I received an email informing me i was getting 0 pounds for the phone and i would have to pay 5 pounds for it to be returned, it was not 5 pounds to return it it was 2.30 as i checked with thier local post office same price for when i sent it. Its a complete scam if you ask me, i am still waiting on an email regarding the postage fee. I don not recommend anybody to use this company. I shall be making a formal complaint.....after receiving an email regarding the postage i have now been informed the 5 pound charge is to cover the engineers time, nowere in the terms and conditions does it state that if the phone is unaceptable will i be charged 5 pounds for postage and engineers time i states i will be charged 5 pounds for postage and as ive quite clearly stated it does not cost 5 pounds to return it, therefore i am being ripped off.

Your iPhone 4 16Gb has been subject to a re-quote due to our engineers finding it is water damaged, it also will not connect to wifi. Upon further inspection we have also found the phone to be heavily tampered with.

Therefore it was valued at £0.00 as per our site: "By selecting Not Working it can have broken glass, broken lcd, broken buttons or headphone jack. Water/Catastrophic Damaged iPhones will be recycled for free."

However, as a gesture of goodwill i have returned your device to you today free of charge.

fast fab fantastic

Brilliant company, cant believe how fast it all went, I sent it on a Saturday I had a text on Monday then a email with my payment voucher, super fast and didnt cost me a penny.

Excellent service!

Website was user friendly, registration and selling my gadget was a quick and easy process.

Emails were replied to promptly and efficiently and the full amount quoted was paid into my PayPal account the day after my Kindle was received.

Overall, an excellent service. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends.

Good price for my phone and rapid service!

G4E offered the best price for my old HTC phone and the website was easy to use. I sent my phone special delivery and it arrived the following day, was checked and the payment cleared as well. Overall it was a very good service and I would recommend to a friend.

Dont touch them with a barge pole!

Having been initially offered £46 for an HTC Desire S which was in excelent condition having always been in a case I sent it away not before being sent a number of emails from the company reminding me of the closing date for the offer. I elected to use their freepost which caused a delay as the envelope took days to arrive! When the company recieved it over a space of 2 minutes as timed by the emails I recieved from them they managed to turn it on and diagnose a speaker problem with the resultant offer of £11.50 this being unacceptable I disputed it and have had it sent back costing £5. The company lost the case in the process so agreed to refund post, I have recieved the phone back and had it examined by phone shop with no problems found with it. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE they are a scam, advertising good prices to draw you in.

With regards to the status update time, the device was being tested prior to the status change.

Company will reduce your payment without good reason.

I recently traded in my iphone 4. When I originally filled in the form it said i would get £135. I then recieved an email to say it had been adjusted by 35% to £80 as a result of scratching. The phone was in good condition and had lived in a case for all its time with me. Any wear was minor and in great condition. I have since been going through lots e-mails to resolve the customer service team also wont give me any details of the management of the business to raise my concerns about the way they are trading. I would suggest using another service like Mazuma or similar reputable service. The original offer they give you may well be lower but from experience they pay in full and the whole service is far superior.

Got the full price !

filled out the online form and got a good estimated price, waited for packaging to arrive and posted parcel.
10 days later was told i would be receiving a cheque for the full price that had been estimated!!!!!! Shocked to say the least!
Speedy easy to use service and would certainly recommed to friends ( in fact i already have been!)
really happy not to have the price knocked down as is normal with these kind of trade-in websites.

Frauds who only honour quotes when pushed.

This company quote high and then "find" non-existent problems to bring the price they offer down. I have sent 2 phones into them over the last 6 months and the same thing happened both times. They "found" scratches that "disappeared" once I complained about the new lower offer. Once is a blip, twice smacks of it being company policy to defraud customers who send in to them in good faith.

excellent service i had already sent my item to another company who kept it for five weeks and then said it would not turn on, so they returned it to me. sent it to gadgets4everyone and the day they recieved it i had an email and text to say they had, they then sent me emails and texts to tell me it had been tested and again when it had passed and again when they payed which took less than a week, i would definately use this company again.

Do not use!

Sent my sons Htc Desire S off to them after been quoted £46. Received an email back saying they would only pay £29.90. I sent an email back saying I do not accept this valuation. Looking on there website I would put the condition as good, discribed on there website as 'By selecting Good it has some very minor marks, scuffs blemishes or scratches to the phone.' Therefore this gives a valuation of £40 there isn't even a figure of £29.90 on there website! They say they give £30 for fair condition! Just to prove what a amatuer outfit they are the email I received from there 'Customer sevice manager' said my phone was a HTC Wildfire! I get the feeling this firm is run by a couple of kids from there bedroom.
Having used other recycling companies in the past with no problems I strongly recommend you send your old phones elsewhere.

Within the terms and conditions you agreed to it states that heavy cosmetic wear will be subject to a 35% price decrease. With regards to the re-quoted price of £29.90 that is not on our website, your traded in your device via a comparison site and it uses the gradings within our terms and conditions not the gradings on our website.

This price was then accepted and your payment was processed the same day that it was placed into the payment queue.

Slow but helpful

Started out ok and emails etc advising of progress were good but took a while to get confirmation of value and after month still not received payment. Have been advised it has been resent so have to wait another 10 working days now - no idea why it takes so long to put a cheque in the post.

Very very poor customer service

Was pulled in by the price offered being way above what everyone was offering. At first everything went ok and sent the phone off in their trade in pack. The price of the phone was then downgraded due to scratches which I find strange as the phone was in a protective case from day 1. Then the real fun started with numerous emails and phone calls asking where my payment was. First I was told it was sent 1/4/13 but nothing arrived, then I was told it was sent 5/4/13 but again nothing arrived now I have an email 15/4/13 saying my payment has finally been sent. I am waiting for this payment to turn up (I have been told 11 days) but I am not expecting it. I would suggest people look elsewhere to recycle their phone based on my experiences with this company.

Sold old mobile phone at Gadgets4everyone. Was very impressed with service and payment for trade-in received fairly quickly. Would have no hesitation to recommend this company

Very easy transaction and quick payment

It was quick and easy to get a value and the pack arrived after a few days. The day after the item was posted I got confirmation of it being processed and within a few hours I had confirmation of value and payment. Despite saying it would take a week to make payment, it was confirmed the next day as waiting for clearance. Very easy transaction overall.

Five Star Performer!

My Google Search showed Gadgets4everyone to offer the best price for my Samsung phone. I entered the details on their site and I received the following working day their pre paid envelope. As soon as they received it they emailed to confirm receipt. Then they emailed to say it had passed their test. Then they emailed to say they were paying the money directly to my bank. Two days later - there it was - in the bank! What more could I ask? Actually, they could not have improved upon the service so if you have a phone to sell - you can use this firm with complete confidence.

I am going to file a Complaint as this is just rude and wrong

Saying because the couldn't test it.. takes a standars mini usb like most other satnav how ridiculous

Won't be a returning client and will not be sending people your way

Your Sat Nav was subject to a re-quote as the charger and windscreen mount was not included with the trade-in.

On our website it states the following: "By selecting Brand New it is like it just came out of the box. Not a single mark, scratch or blemish anywhere to be seen and comes with the car mount, charger and has the maps installed."

We then proceeded to re-test the Sat Nav but unfortunately there was a fault with the device.
