I wanted to get rid of my old phone. My wife didn't want it so I looked online.
Gadgets4everyone offered the best price and the procedure was simple, they even paid the postage.
I was kept informed at every stage, and would recommend them to anyone.
I sent off recorded delivery on the 3/6/2013 a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet was received on the 4/6/2013 as advised from email by them on Friday 7/6/2013 got 2 further emails one saying now being tested and payment would be received on 14/6/2013 and within an hour received 1 more message saying item passed and processed payment to be sent on Tuesday 11/6/2013 due in my account on Friday 14/6/2013. On checking my account today on the 14/6/2013 low and behold no payment received I tried calling them and kept being told office is closed which is poor when says open at 8.00am. Used there online chat and Spoke to <sensitive information removed> asked where my payment was as not received and said "sorry it hasn't been sent I'll sort it out for you" I've asked for this to be processed via the faster payment system into my account today in which <sensitive information removed> confirmed this would be done which being honest I doubt will happen! In the end they did keep to there promise and payment received.
You guys could do with improving your payment times and keeping customers informed of possible delays that way will get better feed back.
Sent an iPhone 3GS and an iPhone4 via Special delivery and recieved an automated email a few days later to say that they were being processed.
Received a few more automated emails to say that they were in testing and then another to say that they had been completed.
The outcome was astonising in that the 3GS was a "catastrophic failure" due to it not being able load up with iTunes. Well that's utter nonsense because I restored all factory settings and connected it before I sent it. So they offered me £0.00 for it? Yeh right. So I'm supposed to let you keep it for free? Jog on!
The 4 had some marks from the usual wear and tear a 3-4 year phone has and was reduced from £140 to £108.
I am currently in the process of the both phones being retested but after reading other reviews Im not holding my breathe.
The £5 to get them back is a bit shocking too. It only cost me £6.75 to send the two by Special delivery.
Very bad service. Lure you in by the top prices and then try and fob you off with lame excuses and hope you're a mug.
I ain't no mug and defiantly won't be using them again.
Anybody got a link for [Link] Never had any of this malarkey there.
The experience started out well, when the envelope to send my old phone in arrived the morning after request. I was even advised it had arrived back with them the following day! Within another day I had been told the full amount would be paid and a date given, though some days in the future. It is now currently 6 days after that date and I am still awaiting payment!
Got a really good price for the phone. Was pleased with the service, however i felt that it took longer than necessary to make the payment to me.
I would use again, and would recommend.
terrible company told so many different things by different customer service agents. my trade in was graded then price was lowered which i was not aware of they can and will do. they say they compete with other recyclers yet due to being 'downgraded' i then got a lower price than say [Link] who i have used before and are very good and very fast. still had no payment told friday 14th in my account then told five working days. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY GO TO [Link]
Sent in my iPod which was in almost new condition as I treated it extremely well. I took a chance on this website because it had a higher quote of £45 than any other site. Now I realise its a con! I got an email today saying the price has been reduced to £25 with no reasons whatsoever. I tried emailing back and no response. Their phone number is an 0843 number...do they make money off people calling to complain or get answers? I certainly wont be one of those people. Looking at the numerous negative reviews I can see that they know exactly why they reduced quotes, yet they don't think it important to tell the customer why, probably because they know it will be disputed.
I sent my phone off to them after getting a quote of £125, great I though, special delivery, got a text the next day saying they had received it. It then took then 2 weeks of me being in a "payment queue" before they finally paid me, but they changed the quote without telling me to £100, didn't even get a chance to decline and they refuse to send me my phone back. Not happy with the service.
After reviewing several providers online I chose gadgets4everyone as they had one of the best prices on offer. As soon as I filled in my details to make the trade I had an email and text message. I then received regular emails advising my phone had arrived, it was passed to engineers, it was checked and passed and payment would be sent. I was then told the payment would be paid direct to my bank account by 4th June and in fact it was paid in on 3rd June. There was no quibbles from them I got the price that was stated online for my phone. I was more than happy with the service and will certainly use them again if I have another phone to sell
Got a quote for 68 pounds but getting 17 pounds. Thats a big difference. I know that I had a crack on the screen but I dont expect it to drop so low. Am not paying 5 pounds to get the phone back. So accepted it half heartedly.
They offered me £30 for a nearly new DSI then dropped the price to £7.50 because it supposedly had scratches yet gave me £10 for an old battered original DS. The email said it was because the 14 day price promise had run out. This wasn't true, seems to me they offer you good money then drop the price as soon as they get the product, very disappointed.
I found this website through a mobile comparison site and they quoted me the best price for my mini Ipad. I immediately gave my details and bank account for payment. I received the padded envelope in the next two days. Sent it by Special delivery and was texted as soon they received it the next day. Received periodic emails/texts with the inspection and check in process which took a couple of hours and then payment was confirmed. Very quick and prompt reply. Excellent service.
After getting a quote of £130 for my iPhone 4 16gb, I requested to have G4E send me a pre-paid envelope, this was on a Saturday (18th May). I received an email on Monday (20th May) to say that the pre-paid envelope was dispatched, I then received the envolope the next day.
I posted my phone on the Wednesday (22nd May) morning, they received it Friday (24th) and their engineers had checked it by the end of Friday and I was told i'd be receiving my £130 within 3 days. I have no doubt that the money will be in my account after the weekend is over (it is now 25th may bank holiday weekend)
Other reviews I have read have been bad due to their phones been scratched or damaged. So it makes sense that they were re-quoted for their phone. I have confidence in recommending G4E to anyone. Great service.
I was offered a trade in price of £50 for my iPhone 3GS, which I thought was a fair price. So I sent my phone off. I recieved a text to say it was in the testing lab, 3 minutes later I revived another text saying they were pleased to offer me £0.00 for my phone! I sent an e-mail asking what had gone on and why they were telling me they were going to offer me nothing for my phone. I recieved an e-mail the following day saying it was worth nothing as the battery was faulty. I replied in an e-mail asking them how in a space if 3 minutes they could test the battery. Later in the afternoon I got an e-mail saying they were pleased to offer me £50 for my iPod.... I never sent them an I-pod! At this point I decided to ring them to find out what was actually going on. They guy I spoke to said he had no idea why I was offered £0.00 as all he could see was they were prepared to give me £50 for the phone! What a lot of un-necessary stress and confusion!
I found this company from another website who does market comparison. I had never heard of gadgets4everyine before, so I googled them and read other people's reviews! I was offered the best price by far for my phone, as I usually go to tesco recycling, who only offered a few pound! G4e kept me updated from start to finish with text messages and emails and I knew exactly what was happening with the whole process! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anybody!
Very fast service from the point I submitted on computer. Only slight fault is that it would be nice to receive money, the day after confirmation product received and tested and ok. Rather than go in a weekly banking system for turnaround of payment.
No cheque a month after the email saying it had been sent. Emailed to tell them this, and fair play to them, I had a response within 24 hours and a replacement cheque within the week.
Everything about this company have been slow with me. It took them weeks to process my gadget, it took them weeks to send the cheque. It's been over 2 weeks and I've still not received the cheque, I've requested a second one as it may have been lost in the post. All-in-all wouldn't bother with this company again.
I found the website very easy to use but the time taken to receive the pack was longer than expected.
I have been kept updated by email at every point in the process and after sending my phone to Gadgets4everyone, it was extremely fast in making the payment to me.
I would highly recommend this site - why would anyone want to go elsewhere?
I sent in my iphone 4 16gb in and was quoted 50.00 pounds as the phone was faulty the phone had no scratches as the casing was new all apps worked the only fault was a ringing noise when the phone made a call. i paid for the phone to be sent in at first class signed for for the price of 2.30. I received an email informing me i was getting 0 pounds for the phone and i would have to pay 5 pounds for it to be returned, it was not 5 pounds to return it it was 2.30 as i checked with thier local post office same price for when i sent it. Its a complete scam if you ask me, i am still waiting on an email regarding the postage fee. I don not recommend anybody to use this company. I shall be making a formal complaint.....after receiving an email regarding the postage i have now been informed the 5 pound charge is to cover the engineers time, nowere in the terms and conditions does it state that if the phone is unaceptable will i be charged 5 pounds for postage and engineers time i states i will be charged 5 pounds for postage and as ive quite clearly stated it does not cost 5 pounds to return it, therefore i am being ripped off.
