Could be better

You may expect your drivers to be civil and polite (see your answer to a previous review.) but yet again on the return to collect our car we faced an objectionable driver. This one arrogantly sat there pretending to be oblivious to what is going on. The front door did not open when the bus arrived so despite waiting 15 mins for a bus I had to trundle back to the middle door with the case. My wife stood by the front door having no case and he studiously ignored her. He finally opened the door to answer a question from someone who wanted the Victoria coach and then proceeded to talk on his radio about it without giving any detailed help to the passenger. Of course you have many helpful drivers but you need to weed out those that have no idea about customer service and clearly are not suited to the job, this one being a prime example.

Excellent Service both ways

Really no problems at all in either direction. Got slightly confused about which barrier to go through on arrival at Car Park but found my way through. No bays available but directed to park next to the office to unload and check in. Arrived back to find the car ready and waiting. Easy check out and drive off.

Valet Parking !!!

When I arrived there was nowhere to park up by the Valet Parking Office, all bays were full!, A very officious member of Valet Parking staff said I was blocking the exit route and should park elsewhere, I explained I had paid for valet parking not to park the car myself. he pointed to a gap between two cars that was so narrow that if I had driven into it I could not have got out of my car, neither could the other drivers or passengers get into theirs. he was not prepared to park it and walked off, I was left to move my car as far over on the car park exit route as possible before going into the Valet Parking office.
We flow out of the North Terminal but were returned unbeknown to us to the South Terminal,
We had received no information about this occurrence. However since Valet Parking were suppose to be monitoring arrivals times for delays etc. I was disappointed to find my car was not at the Valet Parking pick up area of the South Terminal and my wife and I had to struggle back with our cases into the Southern Terminal building from the Car Park before taking the shuttle to the North Terminal to retrieve my car.
Altogether a very disappointing response from a company offering Valet parking !!!.

Good but with problems

Went on holiday recently with my wife married daughter and her husband and 2 year old grandson. I dropped everyone off at the terminal entrance with luggage, and just as well because they would not have managed to get on the bus that collects you from the car park as it was very full. I managed to squeeze on as I was by myself with just hand luggage. It was no better on our return, late evening with a very tired 2 year old grandson we tried to all get on the bus to take us to the car park but due to confusing signage at the bus stop and a large amount of people all waiting it was not possible. When another bus pulled in it only opened the rear doors and people forgot about queuing and pushed passed my daughter with grandson in a buggy. At this point we gave up all trying to get on and did the reverse of what we did on the way out, I picked up the car on my own and came back to the terminal and picked the rest of my family up.

All in all an excellent service.

The car park at Gatwick was easy to find, no hassle to park, quick connection to terminal by bus, and on my return from my holiday I found my car as I left it, so all in all an excellent service. I booked online and the number plate recognition system works very well, making it even quicker to park.

Car came back damaged ..... NOT HAPPY !!

Good but not Perfect.

We have been using Meet & Greet or Valet parking services at various UK airports for some years now, as I am disabled and use a wheelchair. It's impossible for my husband to load both me and 2 suitcases on and off of a bus, so we have little option. Most recently we used the Valet Parking at Gatwick North. The on-line booking process was very easy adn the confirmation e-mail gave me a link to amend the booking, which I needed as we changed the car in between booking and parking. The automatic barrier's number regognition worked well on both entry and departure and we were able to park easily, although there did not appear to be any 'Blue Badge' bays, whose with would have made transferring to my chair much easier. My only reason for marking down a star is that it's still quite a long way for me to self-propel my wheelchair in order to reach check-in. (we did enquire about assistance but there seemed to be a shortage). The same applied on our return.
In the past we had been able to drop the car off right outside the check-in area door and collect it there on our return, which was a much better arrangement.

Your technology is not adequate to provide a customer friendly service

We have two cars, both have cherished numbers on their number plates. Your (new) systems can not recognise these numbers and every time we park at Gatwick North we have to cause delays to those waiting behind us while we push the button, answer questions about our booking and finally get the barrier raised to let us get on our way. You know about the problem but obviously do not care enough about your customers to get it corrected. It is a simple IT issue - please get it done!

SUMMER SPECIAL PARKING-The Best Value Airport Parking (North) Gatwick

A 6 am drop & 9pm collection. No problems- Why use the LONG TERMpartking, when booking thison line cheeper. System went well-No queues etc- Drop off & Collection-Frequent buses to the terminal-My Only gripe is the poor signage to the site- in the dark it would have been easy to miss- get some LED/Relective signage or in the light it was ok- coming out it would be best to have 2 outward bound signs to show the way out to the motorway/mainroads, after along journey you can be a little disorientated & take a wrong turning-

No problems at all

I occasionally user the long term car park travelling often from Gatwick. The car park is reasonably close with a continuous shuttle service. If you pre book the car registration recognition system eases the whole process. Terminal transfer is fast and problemless.

The worst way to end a holiday

On arriving back in the UK at 1:00 in the morning we were greeted with the news from Gatwick Airport Summer Special Parking, that they had lost our car keys. It took us over 12 hours to get home and consisted of an AA tow truck to Oxford; a hotel to get 3 hours sleep; parents driving 3 hours to deliver spare set until we could finally resume our journey home. Exhausting and distressing are the best way of summing up the experience. Staff were useless! I will never use the car parking facility again and would highly recommend others don't either!

Perfect

Booked the valet service a week in advance. Dropped off the car and there it was when we got back a week later at 1 am. We'd lost our exit ticket but that wasn't a problem. Highly recommend for an easy departure and no fuss exit.

Easy Arrival,Difficult Departure

As usual arrival was no problem but departure was again a little tiresome.
We had pre-booked many months in advance which is what we usually do as we tend to book our trips well in advance.
In the past we have had no problems on leaving the Short Term Parking area. Except for this trip & the one prior to this.
On inserting our ticket at the barrier to exit the ticket was rejected saying that I needed to pay. I pressed the button to speak to attendant who checked on his computer (?) & agreed that I had prepaid.
After a short delay we were allowed to depart without further delay.
It's only petty but It's surely something that is not necessary to happen !?

Never parking at long stay car park again!

We booked and paid to park at the long stay car park for 2 weeks whilst we went on holiday but are very disappointed with our experience! When we returned to our car after our holiday we have a letter on the windscreen from sussex police stating that our spare wheel on our range rover sport had been stolen whilst parked in the car park!!!. We have been informed by the police that 2 men entered the car park in a van (passing the security) and started stealing spare wheels from many 4x4's. I have just had a quote from land rover for over £1000 to replace wheel and winch which is the last thing we needed after spending a lot of money on our dream family holiday. The police have informed me that the chance of me getting my wheel back or claiming the money for repairs back are very slim and suggest that we go through our insurance which I am very angered about! Apparently people can enter the LONG stay car park for free for 2 hours! WHY??? what would you do in a long stay car park for 2 hours!! Go to the short stay car park!
I have many friends who have also had bad experinces parking in this car park. I will never park here again!

Disappointing

I left my car for 10 days with the South Terminal valet parking. When I picked up the car, a warning light came on to say that the bonnet was open. We left the carpark and it became clear that all of the computer settings in the car had been changed. When I got home, I noticed that the bonnet was not closing properly. On further inspection, the battery cover had been removed and not replaced and this was preventing the bonnet from closing. The wing of the car also looked as though it had been sat on as the bonnet and the wing no longer line up properly.
A couple of days after I picked up the car, a warning light came on. I took it to the dealer, who confirmed that the car had been jump started and it was this that had caused the warning light to come on and all the computer settings to change.
I have phoned and emailed the customer service team and am yet to receive a response.
We are due to travel again in a few weeks and there is no way I will ever leave my car with the valet service again.

Disappointed by dirty state of car on return - after only 3 days.

Having chosen the 'valet parking' because it was a special occasion and this seemed to be a sensible option, the car on my return had clearly been taken out and left in the rain, and was filthy after only 3 days away. This compares with a cheaper option which I had used 2 weeks earlier to leave the car parked in the multi-storey park at the terminal (N), and which was therefore in the clean condition in which I had left it.

A well run operation

The Long Stay Parking operation was as effective as I have experienced at any other airport. My only problem was the shortage of free spaces when I arrived at what I had thought would have been a slack time. What would happen if the park was literally full?

Best Option for Airport Parking

We have tried various parking options at Gatwick such as Park 'n Ride but found this to be the most practical and easiest.Drop off car and get on to departures.On return simply head on to Valet parking and collect keys and load up.You are on your way in no time.

Booking attempt resulted in "error" message yet I was still charged

I use Gatwick official parking quite frequently and the process is quick and easy. However a booking made on 19th March didn't complete, when paying there was an arbitrary error message. Therefore I had to go through the whole process again and, this time, was successful - I received booking reference 4380421 plus the usual email as normal. Sadly, on checking my back statement a couple of weeks later, I spotted that my account had been debited twice, i.e. the failed transaction debited my account however there was no booking reference. This incident has been raised as a VISA dispute with my bank and, although they have refunded my account, I await final confirmation that this matter has been settled.
