I have ordered from many online sites, and granted, most have been problem free, however, my experience shopping with Grangier games was fantastic. Not only were they the only site i found taking pre orders for an xbox one (after the initial cut off point), but they also sent regular emails regarding my order, for example, the offer of maybe getting to choose between a day one with fifa 14, or forza 5 (they even managed to secure me my preferred choice of forza 5!). Delivery was on the day, and with in the couriers predicted 2 hour time slot. Also, when i needed to phone up to make a query, the assistance i got was friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable. All round, cannot fault a single aspect, and have found my new preferred online games shop. Highly recommended.
We searched the internet comparing prices for Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Grainger Games was the cheapest and had the added bonus of free pin badges with the game. The website was easy to use, we received an email notifying us that the game had been dispatched and it arrived the next day. Great service will definitely use again.
Ordered a game on a pre-order basis from Grainger Games and everything went smoothly. Pricing was very reasonable ( and discount for first time buyers is not to shabby either ). Game arrived early as well. Overall, no problems - there was even a confirmation email when it was dispatched.
While I would want to carry out more that one order to the company before I would fully recommend them - if they are all like this, then I say they are one of the best online retailers for games around
Ordered from Grainger Games assuming a pre-order meant a guarantee of arrival and being able to play the game on the day of its release.. Still not turned up and will now cost my parents extra to post it, could've gone in store. Thanks for nothing
Ordered a game (Sims 3) on friday afternoon, received an email containing my receipt and a tracking number... I've wanting this game for a very long time as i have had it on xbox 360 for a while so when i found out it had been reduced by price on PC i thought i must get it. So once i'd ordered it i tried to check the parcels where about using the tracking number provided in my email, as it says on the Grainger Games website that all parcels are sent through The Royal Mail, i typed my tracking number into there tracking service; only to find out my parcel and tracking number didn't exist.. It has now been three days and i haven't heard one thing off Grainger Games or Royal Mail about my order even though the website quotes 3 to 5 days, and mine hasn't even been dispatched, well not that i'm aware of because i have not yet received an email informing me whether it is or not!!!! Communication is non existent! If i knew that my order had at least been processed or if my order is on the way i would not feel as wary, but the fact that today is the fourth day and i still haven't been contacted about my order being dispatched makes the customer service sh*t... If Grainger Games communicated better and informed customers on there orders status it would make the process more bearable, but the time frame is not realistic at all. For this reason i will not be shopping there again in future...
Having ordered used and also NEW games, i must say there is no difference. They send an invoice titled it is NEW, but you receive a previously owned one with fingermarks and torns on it. As for the real used ones, with invoice USED, those games are messy and smelly with scratches. Customer service equals zero, they won't answer if they saw you are from abroad... I tried severeal times.... I don't care the fact that i ordered cheap items, communication with customers would have been elementary.
I purchased a game from Grainger that was cheaper than the company I usually use and it was delivered the day before the high street launch date. I was emailed a few days prior to ask if I wanted a free gift (an iPhone case with game branding), which was another nice touch. Can't fault them. Will use them as my main supplier from now on.
I ordered the Last of Us on the Wednesday. There was a website error so I didn't get the order confirmation. Thanks to help on Twitter and their e-mail they got back to me really quickly. I received the order the next day. Fantastic service as ever.
I ordered The Last of Us a week before release. The payment came out straight away but I received an email about the Sights and Sounds pack as well as received an email about an iPhone case.
(You guys should advertise that you planned on giving away the Sights and Sounds pack as it would of attracted a lot more people.)
I received the game a day before release date which got me extremely excited and means I plan to use Grainger Games in the future for pre orders.
I recommend grainger games alot to friends as they are cheaper than alot of high street stores and are very helpfull, they always have what i need and the trade in price cant be beaten and second hand game price is unparraleled.
I bought my game for Christmas, which appeared on the Grainger Games site as "In Stock." After 3 weeks had passed, closing in on Christmas, I attempted to give Grainger Games a phone call, finding it very difficult to get through. I ended up giving up and buying it elsewhere.
I ended up forgetting about the game, and have never been back in store since. Only yesterday did the game arrive in the post - without warning.
Poor service - with difficult communication.
I preordered an XBOX 360 game primarily as Grainger Games was the best price. In fact the game arrived on the day of release and before my friends got their copies, so win win with Grainger.
I recently purchased Dead Island Riptide Pre-order
The game came before due date which was excellent as I have ordered game from other sites and received days after (no point in grabbing online). The price was good and all was just an easy transaction.
I pre-ordered a game online and i was told it would be posted two days before the release date. I have been told the same thing before on other well known game sites and i have been let down. The game was not only cheaper than other retailers but it was also delivered by the release date and i was very impressed by the service i recieved and i will not hesitate in recommending Grainger games to everyone i know.
I used Grainger Games as they seemed to have a competitive price on the game I wanted (The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Xbox360). On placing my order early morning it was not until 2 days later until the item was dispatched. I ordered a new copy of the game but when it eventually arrived the box was tatty, the seal missing, not in cellophane and the disc dirty. It was too me a used game but I emailed Grainger and they told me that their "new games" are often opened. I find this totally unacceptable as if I wanted a game in this condition I would have ordered a used copy and saved myself money. By the looks of things this is not an isolated case so I will not be using Grainger Games again.
I've used Grainger Games a lot lately for Blu Rays and thought I'd let people know they do offer a very good service.
The price match they offer if you find it elsewhere is very good plus they knock a pound off so long may this continue! They always normally sent you a price match voucher within half a working day and always respond to customer emails pretty quick.
The dispatch time is normally a couple of days unlike shopto etc who dispatch almost immediately but the products have always been in good condition too :) Would definitely be 5 star if slightly quicker delivery.
