RECENTLY TAKEN OUT NSURANCE AND IT TOOK ME AT LEAST FOUR ATTEMPTS TO FILL OUT THE FORM. YET ANOTHER PASSWORD NEEDED WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE SO COMPLICATED I ALMOST GAVE UP. I AM SWAMPED WITH PASSWORDS AND WISH I DID NOT HAVE TO BUY ON LINE ON LINE.
I purchased an Annual travel policy and like thousands of other people, I am sure, I did not read every word in the small print so when my husband came into the sea in Mexico to support me and had forgotten to remove his hearing aids and lost them in the sea ( by the way they were Nhs earring aids which have to be paid for by us at a cost of £150) Great Cover were very speedy in responding to me enquiries telling me that they were not covered! I wonder if the positive reviewers have tried to claim against their policies - As they say you get what you pay for and I certainly won't be using this company again.
I have just renewed my annual travel insurance & once again this company comes up trumps. The call centre & medical screening staff are marvellous. This is my 3rd year with them & I have no complaints.
Great to find an insurer willing to accept the over 75 year olds for travel insurance. Probably we claim less than anyone else and yet get quoted exhorbitant rates. Greatcover was ideal even tho' I had to arrange Medical Cover separately. I would certainly use this company again.
Good level of customer service however disadvantaged twice due to buying policy via phone as opposed to online + in addition would have been charged an additional £3 for posting out policy documents so really aimed at internet customers which I feel very unfair as my dad who the policy was for paid over the odds not having internet access, I opted for emailing doc's to me to save him £3..... Bit disappointed with that :-/
Purchased travel insurance to the USA, great price by comparison to other companies. My travel is for later this summer, so I have not, and hope not to, make any kind of claim. As with most of us we buy travel insurance as a precaution, so I cannot comment on how a claim would be handled. On price alone, I will definitely use this company again.
Hi, as this is an insurance company and I haven't had to make a claim I cannot rate them regarding time/speed of pay out. Their website is easy and the one time I had to ring them with a question it was answered promptly, courteously and helpful. Cheapest around but don' know how that would impact on a claim, fingers crossed I don't have to make one
I have been insured with Greatcover for the past 3 years and have been quite happy I have also a declared mediacl condition Heart attack and a Heart By Pass.I have paid the additional premium and all as been well.I came to renew my insurance this year and was told by the Medical screening people that despite being fit, less drugs taken than previous years I was declined cover with no explanation. I have now found cover with out a problem with Flexicover who had no problem in offering me a more comprehensive cover cheaper than Greatcover.
I GOT SORTED OUT WITH TRAVEL INSURANCE VERY QUICKLY AT A VERY GOOD PRICE. ONLY DOWN SIDE WHICH MAY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH GREAT COVER WAS THAT I HAD TO GET MEDICAL INSURANCE THROUGH A COMPANY CALLED MEDICAL SCREENING. THIS COMPANY ONLY HAD ONE PERSON WORKING AFTER 5.00 PM AND I HAD TO WAIT ABOUT 45 MINS TO GET THROUGH. AGAIN INSURANCE WAS SORTED OUT STRAIGHT AWAY AT A VERY GOOD PRICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND BOTH OF THESE COMPANIES.
Good website that is easy to manoeuvre around and to pick your options. As with all insurance you must read the policy details before choosing your cover: e.g Golf cover looks fine but check the age of your clubs because if they are 5 years old+ then you would receive nothing if they are stolen/lost.
I needed one-off travel insurance for a week at Viva Las Vegas and many offerings would not cover the luggage value of my tailor-made drape suits. It was between Saga and Greatcover and I went for the better-known company at first but their website failed and requested I make a phone call. Being at work, I decided instead to click the 2nd option, Greatcover, and enjoyed a smooth transaction. And hopefully I won't have to make a claim, otherwise so far so good...
