I love Groupon deals, I think they're excellent. My one dislike of this company is there annoying emails at ungodly hours, I get about 4 every night around 3am... Stupid time to send emails!
I use Groupon a lot, and have no complaints. I save a fortune when going to the hairdresser, and I must admit, I thought I might be treated as second class due to the Groupon coupon, but found just the opposite.
However, one hairdresser was constantly being interrupted with phone calls from irate ladies, who could not make an appointment before their coupon expired, due to the salon being fully booked. This was not Groupon's fault, and not the hairdresser's fault, but that of the customers, who had bought the coupons, and kept them for too long before making an appointment. My advice, to save disappointment, is to make the appointment as soon as possible after purchase.
I've been using Groupon for well over a year now and have only ever had a good experience with them.
I've bought several Groupon vouchers for many services.
Now, some of the services aren't as I hoped they would be, however that wasn't Groupon's fault! But rather the service provider.
I have a feeling that people writing negative reviews have issues with the service providers, rather than Groupon.
I know that many people complain they can't book a particular service as the company only accepts x-amount of Groupon coupon users per day/week/month.
But in my opinion that is the service provider's fault and mismanagement, rather than Groupon.
Anyway, back to Groupon.
A few months ago I was hospitalised and many of my Groupon vouchers expired before I could use them.
When I contacted customer services to explain, I was immediately offered a full refund on any that had not yet expired - or credit to my account for those that had.
My overall experience with using Groupon vouchers have been flawless. And on that basis, I'll happily recommend them.
My advice is, research the service provider you're buying a voucher for. If there is no existing feedback on the company, approach with caution and know that you're taking a chance on your purchase.
I was previously unaware of the Groupon concept and the discounts and value that was available with them in the marketplace. How long have I been missing out? The range and scope of deals available is immense and I find myself checking the Groupon website with alarming reguarlity (to the detroment of my work...thanks Groupon). I have only positive things to say of the high level of customer care and attention I recieved; Recommend to all.
Would have given Zero stars if it would let me. They leech off the backs of business and take all the profit for themselves! They encourage buisness to offer rediculuos discounts of which they take half and run the business into the ground! Shame on you Groupon!!
Had a go at a few offers but either didn't get goods at all or took ages , wouldn't go through groupon again
You know the measure of a company when something goes wrong with an order, they where let down by one of the company deals. Groupon contacted me straight away and offered me my money back or they would try and source a replacement. I went for the replacmet and Good enough the replacement was here within days. Well done to everyone at Groupon had some fantatic deals. Keep up the good work.
I've heard the moans & groans, but my husband and I've been buying through Groupon forabout 2 years now. Enjoyed fabulous discounts on goods, dinners, trips, entertainment, salon treatments and even gifts. On one occasion I found the product purchased unsuitable for me, the merchant refunded my p/p and Groupon credited me in full. I think sometimes the supplier of the goods maybe is too greedy when they sign up, and then, when the offer sells TOO well they can't supply; that's not Groupon's fault!
well, i can't speak for groupon UK, but in the US, the groupon products that are offered are great! i've purchased more than a dozen groupons and every place i've purchased for has honored them. (compared to other horror stories i've read from other 'imitation' groupons')
You send me too many emails! I wish I could filter what I'm interested in and what I'm not!
I get a new offer from groupon emailed to me. Don't always take the up, but who does?. Ive had numerous deals off this site. Would highly recommend.
I bought a few groupon vouchers and sadly not one of them worked out well for me. Its usually that the company offering the groupon are not able to fulfill it.
I wanted before to buy a sofa... but now i have a cheaper bigboy, a beautiful dessign furniture and the most comfortable one to be with my girlfriend watching a movie. Highly recommended!
The daily deal companies are what they are - and sometimes the products or services aren't what you might have hoped for - although generally they are exceptional value for money. It helps to understand that demand will usually be high - so you might be in for a long wait either to get your product or be able to book an appointment. I use a few daily deal sites and Groupon customer service has always been far superior to the others and i am happy to recommend them.
I've used these guys for a while now and like what they do, they've given me the opportunity to try new restaurants / experiences around London that I wouldn't necessarily have done otherwise. Keep up the great work!!!
True bargains on Groupon are rare... this company hype up deals. Just search around, you'll usually find comparable deals with better service. If it does all go wrong they refuse a refund and insist on crediting your account (credits expire in 12 months) so they've always got your money.
Poor due diligence conducted on partner companies, I guess they are desperate for deals.
Have used this company twice for discount vouchers against central heating servicing form companies advertising on their pages. After contacting these companies and quoting my voucher codes, they couldn't even be bothered turning up. I think a lot of companies that advertise on here are about to go out of business. Not Groupons fault I know, but I wonder if these companies are doing this to get a little free advertising at the expense of Groupon. Groupon did eventually refund my money after complaining to them but when some items they advertise cost in the hundreds I wouldn't risk losing this amount of money. I have lost trust in using this website and have unsubscribed.
Some of the best offers on the net are sent to me from Groupon-some are not the best but some are the best value for money and bargins are defo out there
On the whole I have found the deals on Groupon to be worth going for. However, I have noticed that on quite a lot of the deals you can get the items at other online and store retailers for the same 'discounted' price. I do not buy a groupon voucher now without checking out other websites to see what I can get it for.
Even passed them on to Family down in Australia, for when they come and visi>t
Don't sign up - you will be pestered for ever!!

have used coupons from them a few times, gr8 value for money which comes in handy as i can treat my children
My wife bought a cream tea experience & tried to book it for fathers day only to be declined by the venue on the grounds that 'they were only allowing paying customers to eat there on fathers day' she then explained 'you groupon people don't understand that we don't make money from these offers' !!!
Well it's not my fault that the venue was stupid enough to make a loss & they didn't have any conditions on their offer either i.e. excludes fathers day or bank holidays etc. and the attitude of the venue manager just stank. She made us feel like some kind of second class citizens.
We'll never go there again and we'll never use Groupon either as they wouldn't refund us but only offered us a credit.
Appalling.....

had some good bargins with Groupon. However I do think they need to take more resposability if the supplier of the service fails
Thats why they only get 4 stars
I can't btch about Groupon as a company but nearly half the time the merchant has failed to delliver in some way so I no longer spew my earnings into them as I perhaps once did!
To be absolutely fair they DO always give you your money back & hopefully give the errant merchants a stern look
I live in Aberdeen. I kept getting offers for all over Scotland, mainly Glasgow. The few I could use were filled very quickly.
After just deleting my account with Groupon I am glad to see the end of my dealings with them. In 6 months they failed to meet 4 of my orders which I had paid for due to not managing their offers and getting overloaded with orders. When you book restaurant deals you end up settling for a meal out on a Tuesday because they are fully booked with so many groupons, I had Christmas presentys not delivered with was very disappointing. Each time I also had a hard job getting my money back as they keep offering you Groupon vouchers, and when you come to de-activate this rubbish account you have to contact customer services through email. Avoid these deals or find yourself let down, disappointed and angry!

Almost complete confusion due to two separate codes for one transaction. I would be unlikely to use this service again

like a bargain this is a great site to start the deals are amazing the money you can safe is surprising ive bought several items and they have arrived on time and packed well too.
I absolutely love this company and plan most of my outings around what deals I've purchased. It's such a great way to save money as a student, but still go to new and interesting places - and the discounted beauty treatments are lifesavers!
