I ordered two set of sofas from CFS Furniture via Groupon. I paid two sets of £250 to Groupon and two sets of £50 to CFS Furniture for delivery of the sofas. I was told they would be delivered in December and days before they were due to be delivered and exactly 45 days after I paid by Paypal I was told by Groupon I would not be receiving the sofas. They refunded me the £500, however said I had to claim the delivery money through CFS Furniture. That very same day CFS Furniture has disappeared off the face of the earth and since gone into administration. Groupon refuse to pay me back the delivery, therefore I have lost £100 because of using what I thought was a reputable company - Groupon. I cannot claim back through Paypal as Groupon waited 45 days to inform me. I have since discovered thousands of other people have had the same problem with other companies that Groupon use. It seems Groupon, is joining up with these companies to rip people off. CFS Furniture has since reformed as the designer furniture company, no doubt using the thousands they made by ripping off people like me - I will never use Groupon again as a result!!!
There appears to be something fishy going on here, all of the bad ratings on here refer to INFURN and not Groupon. These are getting edited and moved (mine was done earlier and I've reposted it. The poor ratings should be with infurn who seem to be improving theirs.
I posted something on here last Friday and received a call from Sonia soon after. But still no sign - Sonia, can I have an update please?
Infurn have told me it was sent to the courier on 8th Feb but quite honestly given today is 23rd Feb this must be a lie? What courier service takes over 2 weeks?
I love groupon and have been very lucky with the majority of purchases having only trouble with 1 matching bedrooms, I now google groupon plus the company i'm looking at the deal for before purchasing as it shows if there are any issues. Customer services have been helpful on the odd time i've needed to contact them but i'm very happy with them only negative is that they repeat the same deals from companies that people seem to have had problems with and its obvious from googling that there are some issues so they need to think about those situations better!
E-mail recieved (below) from Groupon on 24th January promising delivery "on or no later than 24th February" . 3 days and counting. I won't be holding my breath, and fully expect my delivery time to enter month 5, if at all.
4 E-mails and no response so far.
Also, in response to various excuses below about demand exceeding expectation. If this is the case then why did they run the Groupon voucher the following day as well? And run the offer on multiple discount voucher sites? Its just very very very poor management of a business.
E-mail from Groupon follows:
"BigBoy Giant Beanbag With Choice Of 10 Colours for £39 from Infurn (64% Off)"
We apologise for the delay in delivery of your BigBoy Giant Beanbag. Your product is due to arrive on or no later than Friday 24th February 2012.

The Customer Service Team
I must say I was delighted to find this site and see that many others are in the same boat as me ie ordered product months ago (early Nov) and absolutely no communication from company on when we can expect delivery.
I have been regularly checking the 'my account' information and being trying to get through on the phone for months so today I finally sent an email. But I do feel that emails are much easier to ignore than ringing phones. I will wait to see what happens but from reading others experiences it sounds like I'm in for the long haul.
It's a shame since some of the company's products look very interesting and I was tempted to buy one of their amazing sofas but luckily decided to see how the 'fatboys' turned out.
I'm hoping they will get delivered while we are still young enough to enjoy........but I'll have to continue to wait and see.....
Same old story from me. Ordered a beanbag on 15th November 2011, order no: AU-97965.
No responses to emails, no answers to telephone calls, shifting deliver dates, made up DHL tracking numbers and just generally poor service.
Please save your excuses about 'availability issues', 'quality control issues' and 'new management teams' and just tell me when I can expect delivery of my item, if ever.
You clearly created a good offer with the Groupon deal, and I can understand that many took you up on it, but I think your lesson should be to be careful what you wish for. If your intention was to advertise your company and hope for repeat custom it has failed miserably, simply due to poor customer service. There are clearly hundreds, possibly thousands of people now that, regardless of the quality of the product they may eventually get, will never use you company again, and those people with quite possibly tell their friends.
I hope you can supply me with some answers.
I did not receive goods so cancelled my order. They didn't refund postage and package costs. When I finally got through to this company they laughed and would not put me through to a line manager which they gave a false name and laughed again. Please, please do not buy from this company! If I could give zero rate I would.
Feel like I am repeating what has been said many times already!
Ordered in November, another Xmas present not received.
Have been given a total of three delivery dates by groupon now all of which have been and gone.
This is beyond a joke!
Moving house on Friday next week!
What do I do now?
A lot of people are feeling conned and cheated by the way groupon advertised a 6 week delivery for items that may or may not exist from Infurn.com, after looking at their reviews I can see people have waited years with non-delivery of products or refunds and neither company wants to talk to anybody about it...
I for one have had enough of being passed between the two of them and am now getting legal advice. All previous purchases with Groupon have been fine but they better be ready to loose a whole load of customers and better be getting legal advice themselves.
"top-rated business partners" is what they claim... if you want to see Infurn's "top rating" click here: http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.infurn.com
Beautiful products, slick website but RUBBISH service!
As many people did, I bought 3 Groupon vouchers for Bigboy bean bags, placed my order with Infurn and paid 3 lots of delivery charges at £12.95 each back in November. After waiting over 3 months, I have finally today got an email from Groupon telling me Infurn are no longer able to meet the high demand for those products and offering me a different alternative. They didn't even have the courtesy to sent an email direct to THEIR customer, but got Groupon to do their dirty work for them. What I wonder is how come if they are unable to meet the demand, they are still able to sell the products on the Infurn website?
I would never buy from them again and would recommend everyone to stay away!
I am really hoping that like some of the complaints voiced here that some effort can be made to get my BigBoy delivered. The customer service from infurn has been poor but it seems the lady now dealing with these issues is trying to appease people here at least.
Infurn please can you restore my faith in buying in such a way.
After several delays... (I do not want repeat the story, everybody went through the same) I finally got an e-mail from Grupon that my Bean Bag is going to be delivered not later then 17th February. I have checked my INFURN account - delivery week: 7.
This is week 7 and I still do not have tracking ID!!!
I took the phone call from Infurn in good faith and decided to let Sonia Harris sort my problem out. She gave me some jumbled excuses about management restructure, snow in Germany, my colour not being available, 5 working days, then another 5 working days, approximate dates only - to name but a few. Still I decided to give Infurn benefit of doubt.
Between the phone call and now I have had 3 emails from Infurn giving me different information regarding my shipping date and more poor excuses.
2 days after the very latest possible delivery date given to me by Sonia Harris and still no bean bag. All I have asked for is the truth all along. If my product has been shipped Infurn should have a tracking number and this should be provided to me so I can see if the product really has been shipped.
Infurn - please provide me with a refund of the shipping fee as I have no evidence of shipment. Taking over 4 weeks to deliver from Germany is also not acceptable.
OLD INFO BELOW
7 days later, still no response. Shambolic service.
Still waiting for my Big Boy, the company has said the product is with the delivery company, but the delivery company have no record of the product or the number supplied by Infurn.
Infurn have no number to call and complain to and have not replied to my last few emails.
Everything about this company is a shambles. If you cannot fulfill your orders - do not take them. More importantly do not take the money for them. Perhaps I would not mind so much if they just told the truth, tell me where is my product, why its being delayed and (realistically) when I am likely to recieve it.
I bought a lamp in March 2011 and Im still waiting for the product. Have made several calls and sent emails and the lamp is always on its way. I was promised my lamp during week 52 the last time I spoke to someone. Im about to give up and file a police rapport. This is fraud!
I did not find them very useful
Orded a table 10-02-2011 with delivery date december 2011 but I still dont have any table. Have sent them mail and they answer after many days but still no delivery. I will contact my bank these week and dispute the card transaction.
I ordered back in Oct and still waiting. The (latest) delivery estimate has gone from week 3 to 50!. Trying to contact someone is one of the most frustrating experiences of my life! If you can find a phone number then it is a recorded message. I have received one e-mail back from Infurn stating my ordered SHOULD be delivered by end of Feb 2012 but then I checked the estimated delivery on my account and this now sates week 50. I have sent numerous e-mails confirming clarification and still awaiting a response. I will wait until 1st March and will be then contact trading standards as looking on this web-site it seems my experience is not unusual.
I'll be brief, seem problems as all customers who order from infurn. You pay, and then your money goes in the little black box and you'll never see it again nor will you receive any of your orderded goods.
Ordered 2 big boy bean bags. Delivery foreseen 1st week of january, still nothing. Telephone, e-mail... everything is ignored. They might as well install a computer voice who tells you "haha, we stole your money".
"Delivery foreseen first week of march". I wonder whether it's true, or whether I will receive a message that hey have problems at the customs office ;-)
EDIT: still no delivery nor clear respons. Luckily they now give free BigBoy bean bags with all +500EUR orders...
MAYBE YOU GUYS CAN FIRST DELIVER THE ONES ORDERED IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER BEFORE GIVING FREE ONES IN MARCH !!!
EDIT 2: why has my review of INFURN been moved to groupon?
2 bean bags ordered early November via Groupon for my children for Christmas, up to 6 weeks no problem because thats before Christmas!
No communication to confirm order will be delayed
No reply to e-mails
Groupon have no control over delivery
18 days ago told bean bag is on the way
2nd bean bag now being delivered (we'll see) in March
£40.00 voucher - but if you compliment company on website you get 50 euros!
Worst customer service I have ever received in my life (38 years), looks like Infurn are monitoring this website and trying to mop up. Too late.
Infurn e-mailed me this week to say that they are not using DHL anymore and are using another firm, I have asked for the name of this mysterious firm and Groupon or Infurn are not responding.
I'm on Twitter @Craneyo and will Tweet every day about this complete lack of customer service by Groupon and Infurn. #beanbagjustice is the hashtag I will be using!
I placed my order in September 2011, first announced delivery date was end of december, followed by 2 postponings of the delivery date due to "quality problems"! (Eames Lounge Chair with Ottoman)
I don´t get any response except the automised eMail response, no direct feedback, no personell contact at all.
I´m more than surpised to hear about the quality problems they seem to have, as the furniture is undoubtly cheaper than the original stuff, but far away from being cheap!
I ask for a withdrawal of the contract, as I no longer believe in pure quality problems but furthermore in a snowball-system - guess: No response at all!
I can´t give any good rating for this company, sorry to say that.
I´m currently trying to find a lawyer in the UK, as my german lawyer sees no chance to do anything from here...
Will keep you informed!
Niki found this review useful
This seems to be one of the only ways to get a response from infurn, so I figured I would try to make contact here. I have emailed several times an not heard back, and the phone number in the US no longer works...
I ordered this table back in october and was told it could take up to 10 weeks plus an additional two weeks for processing. This means at the latest a delivery of Jan. 20. Then on the website my order is estimated to arrive in February... but no exact date. I have been patient for 15 weeks now, but this is getting a little rediculous. I would appreciate a response at the very least from the company.
Back in October I informed a gentleman on the phone that the table was needed to arrive in time for a photoshoot and a party. These occur on the 11th and 16th. I was told that it would be no problem and this was ample time to process, build, ship and deliver the table...
I need this table immediately... Please advise on its satus.
If it does not arrive very soon, and/or if I do not recieve a response asap I will not hesitate to take this further and file reports with the BBB etc.
I placed my order on Oct 21, 2011. It´s now Feb 7, 2012. Still no delivery. I´ve e-mailed nurmerous times. At first they replied, when I asked about the delivery date (said to be 4-6 weeks - turned out to be 10-12 weeks!!). When finally receiving an e-mail re delivery, the package was said to be at the Swedish post office. I didn´t receive any message re the package from the post office. When I called the post office after the Swedish long holiday in January, thinking the package had just arrived, I found out that it had been there more than 2 weeks already and was just send back to Germany!!!
After that I have not had a single reply to my e-mails asking how they are going to solve this. I have paid the product, I have paid the freight cost and have not received what I paid for and have now realized that I will not be neither reimbursed nor receive my order. It may be that the Swedish post office is to blame also for not sending me a notice about the package but I CAN`T MAKE THAT CLAIM!!!! Infurn must act - and I AM THE CUSTOMER!
I will never ever buy from Infurn again and even more, do whatever I can so that my friends don´t either. They are completely unprofessional and have not understood that customers are important for a company selling products... Customer support is non-existent. As a customer I have been very badly treated.
So, my recommendation - do not buy anything from Infurn.com!
Today is 20th February. 2weeks ago I had a phone call from Sonia Harris at Infurn stating my two big boy beanbags will be delivered to me within the next ten days to two weeks at the maximum. Still no sign of either of the bean bags. I have tried contacting Infurn but no joy. I've sent another email to Sonia Harris today, hoping that I get a response and hopefully my bean bags.
Sonia Harris if you read this please can you contact me, you have my mobile phone number.
After waiting for months for two bean bags, one of them was meant to arrive in Calendar week 04. It hasn't. The DHL reference has never worked. Infurn have sent an email saying that it was dispatched on 23/01/12 - it's now the 13/02/12 - and there's no sign of it, and as ever they don't respond to emails. From previous experience, they might respond to this though!?! WHERE ARE MY BEAN BAGS!?!
Dear Sonia, many thanks for your reply. I can't see how to reply to you without starting a new rating.
I would very much like it if you could give me a proper tracking number for DHL so that I can see exactly where my item is. I have checked my details and all are holding as correct so you should be able to phone or email me if necessary.
16th Feb update : Lies lies and more lies! Not worth one star. Having not received my beanbag since placing the order on the 8th November (when it was promised to arrive wiithin 6 weeks), I finally received a phonecall from Sonia Harris last week (followed by her comments below) saying she would arrange for a refund to be processed - guess what - like the beanbag the refund has failed to arrive! I naively thought Sonia was going to make it happen but once again I've been sorely disappointed. Save yourself the stress do not buy anything from Infurn. P.S. Sonia the bank puts the refunded money straight back to where it came from when you actually refund a transaction so hiding behind the check the chargeback procedures and processing time line is a poor delay tactic.
I too, have or had been sucked into the joys of shopping online and getting bargains to boot.
Well. This adds fuel to the fire and confirms the adage of "there is no such thing as a free lunch."
My seven recent purchases (from November 2011) have resulted in TWO transactions being successful. I have called them on the telephone, sent emails on numerous occasions without success.
I have mentioned to them about their vendors giving Groupon a bad name and tarnishing their (Groupon's) reputation. They needn't concern themselves. They are doing a sterling job all by themselves.
When asking for an order to be cancelled and the transaction refunded, the stories come out about "getting the original transaction details from the vendor". "Proof from the vendor that they agree to cancel the deal".
All of this is well and good if one could contact the respective vendors, (forwarded Message service / no-one is available to take your call/ there is no more space for messages/ please try again later). However, many appear to be figments of someones imagination, operating out of some dingy or non existent premises or Stationery Cabinet in the garage or somewhere on an allotment no doubt!. All of my communications have so far, fallen on deaf ears, with few transactions being successful.
Not all of the vendors are questionable however. There are a couple viz: The Queens Arms in Berkshire who have been fantastic. A J Electronics with a Sony Viao Laptop for my wife. Great service from both of them.
The others have been an abject and dismal failure. I am effectively +/-£ 100 out of pocket, excluding the vast sums paid directly to the vendors for delivery charges. I have resigned myself to the fact that I have been fleeced and am now out of pocket, tough to accept as a pensioner but definitely a wiser one.
The counter offers from them about supplying vouchers in lieu of....don't mean much as they are time restricted and limit your trading with Groupon vendors. And so the farce continues and you get sucked in deeper and deeper. Better to cut my losses.
As stated before, not all vendors are questionable, however, Groupon needs to re-assess it's relationship with these shady types and they are being tarred with the same brush, exposing themselves to further abuse. It would also help if they paid attention to the comments emanating from consumer sites, The Office of Fair Trading, etc. They appear to close a blind eye to all the criticisms and just do not care.
Har bestilt lampe sep 2011, og har endnu ikke modtaget lampe. Det er umuligt at komme i kontakt med firmaet - har ringet og skrevet utallige gange. Køb aldrig noget her!
Ordered lamp sep 2011 and have not yet received it. Not possible to get hold of the company via email and phone - never buy here!
Despite the respons below I will not change my perception of Infurn and the poor service until I have received my lamp and it lives up to what Infurn has promised! I have recived promises from the company before - now I need to see some action!
6. March 2012. Delivery has been postponed again - what a joke!!! I it hard to take any communication from this company seriously!
Like many of you I also ordered a bean bag for my son for Christmas ordered (3rd Nov). I have emailed on numerous occassions with no responce except an automatic reply saying they will contact me but they haven't. I am disgusted with this comapny and I will never use them again in fact I won't use Groupon again as they obviously don't vet the comapnies properly.
Some great deals, and real bargains, some really dodgy places and offers also posted. Waited 6 weeks to hear back after several e-mails and calls to a Manchester based carting treat that I booked for the family. Another occasion managed to get a great deal on a lovely hotel / weekend away.
Research needed on the businesses advertised I would suggest before buying, but it would be helpful if Groupon were slight more selected in the businesses they selected and dealt with !
This company have got to be THE most frustrating company I have EVER in my 46 years - dealt with. Sonia Harris, I see you have responded to some reviews below. Please also respond to this one.
I ordered a bean bag via groupon on the 8th November for my 10 year old son's Christmas present. it said to allow 6 weeks for delivery - still in time for christmas so I wasn't too worried. On the final day it was due to arrive I checked my order status again online. delivery week had changed to week 03. With absolutley nothing else to notify me! I emailed infurn and got no reply. I emailed again and this time got a voucher off in the post - still no explanation or apology and seriously Infurn - as if a voucher would interest me after your horrendous customer service - laughable.
I then contacted Groupon. I got an immediate reply from them saying that they had researched the product and it was due to be in stock with infurn around the end of January. I then waited and got an email from groupon saying my delivery would be with me by the 3rd February at the latest.
I checked on the Infurn order page again and sure enough it says my items has been handed over to DHL and it gives me a tracking number....except it isn't a DHL tracking number at all and DHL can do absolutely nothing to help me!!!!! So I try emailing infurn againg, zilch reply, I try phoning infurn, guess what? it rings a couple of times and then goes gets cut off.
So yesterday (3rd February) i'm waiting all day - AND GUESS WHAT??? NO BEANBAG.
Infurn, if I could give you zero stars I surely would. Groupon - you'd be well advised to wash your hands of them.
