Nice cards, but pricey and delivery charges are a joke

Bought a medium sized card but as it was a 'designer' one it cost £3.99 instead of the usual medium card price of £2.99. Shocked to find on paying that I had been charged £1.10 for delivery instead of the 60p it costs usually. Apparantly, as my card was more expensive it puts me into the next delivery bracket so I have to pay more for the same sized card despite it costing the same as a standard medium card to post. When I complained they just said thanks for the feedback. Will be buying elsewhere in future.

Not a happy bunny

I was impressed by the offer of 50% off. Chose the card. Nowhere to enter the discount code. I rang to complain, the guy wasn't interested. very poor customer service.

Quality products and fast delivery

Ordered several items in their January sale. Apart from one item, out of stock, everything was delivered speedily and I was very impressed with the quality of the products, which ranged from cards and wrapping paper to tree ornaments.

Excellent birthday card for my beautiful niece

I had a look at the choice of cards that were offered, and one jumped out at me my niece will be turning 20 years of age in a few days and she loves shoes the card was perfect, I can't wait to give it to her. It was easy to order and to customise so it will great for her. Thank You hallmark

ordered a 2012 xmas card, not 2013!

so I placed my orders for my xmas cards on the afternoon of the 19th, BEFORE the 20th cut off date as advertised..

No cards arrived before xmas, they turned up today- the 29th! I ordered windscreen wipers on xmas eve that came on the 27th, so NO EXCUSE! it was my son's first xmas and whilst he is too young to know any different, I am appalled. Resorting to writing here as they did not respond to my boxing day email.

Do not use if you want a reliable service!

Ordered a Christmas card for my wife on behalf of my 3yr old daughter. Couldn't leave the house due to illness, so this service seemed ideal. Placed order in time for Christmas delivery and was pleasantly surprised that the delivery arrived next day.
Sadly the card was not what I ordered and did not match the description on the dispatch note. The card was for a son not a mum.
No time to reorder and unable to go out shopping so no card for Mum for Christmas.
If you can't check the basics, you shouldn't be in this business.
A service that people rely on for special occasions needs a far higher level of reliability.

Uttery awful

I received a mail offering £10.00 off orders over £20-00 - the site accepted the promotion code but didn't apply the discount. so the order was cancelled On complaining received a reply offering 10% off my next order !
I placed an order for 5 cards at 03:25am on 19th December and received an email acknowledging the order. The payment was removed from my credit card immediately. The order is currently ( 25th December !!) marked in my account as 'acknowledged'. Not one card has been received.

To add insult to injury a further email was received from Hallmark on 20th December stating that all orders placed by 2.00 pm on that day would be despatched to ensure delivery before 25th December.

Disgusting Service

Placed two orders over two days, money taken and confirmation emails received.
Logged onto site a few days later to find only one order showing which was partially cancelled. No email notifying of this.
Phoned about the other order not showing on my account and was told that it was out for delivery no problem, Great I think until it arrived and low and behold part of the order had again been cancelled, NO EMAIL and NOT even and explanation in the package I did receive. it seems this company don't have a clue as even customer service can't access the account other than to say its out for delivery. I am still waiting for a response re the other order so all in all not a company I would chose to deal with again after I get my money returned!!
Do a search on the net you will find this is not an isolated or sour grapes review!!

Poor. Order's are never delivered if you use Google Chrome

I waited for an order for my wife's birthday, never arrived so phoned and they said there was a problem with the order. Why did I have to phone to identify this! Customer Services said it was possibly a Google Chrome issue, but wasn't sure. I checked website terms and it says Chrome is supported. (the site doesn't load at all for me today with IE8). Anyway, I customised my 2 cards again with Chrome, placed and paid for order. When I phoned to check, again it had an error on their side. I give up. I'd love to use another browser but it's my work computer. One missed birthday and lots of wasted time

Great cards, great selection, great discount & finally, a great service, thank you!

Browsing is a doddle with plenty of variety, and personalising a card is extremely easy & fun to do, plus you can really put your feelings into any particular card whether it be humorous or sentimental. Also very convenient at times, especially if you have forgotten someone and you can't get to the shops, or you want something that little bit special.

Great cards, brill service

Ordered 3 xmas cards, one with a photo. I fully personalised them and found it really simple to do. Got them for £2.99 each instead of £5.99 with the xmas offer and they came within 2 days and exactly as I ordered. Really good value and excellent service!!

Ordered a printed mug for my wife from the kids, the mug was displayed with a fixed sentance and an option to add a name, changed the name to Mummy's and upon arrival that's all it said the fixed sentance was gone, now ordered another mug and written the sentance myself at an additional cost of £9

I did the card and sent and paid for it only to realise there is a mis-spelling on it so got in touch with them to see if they can alter it but they said they was unable to as its automated but not yet been printed. A bit of a joke to be fair.

THE SERVICE WAS VERY POOR

I bought a birthday card on their website that they were meant to send to a friend who lives in London. ( I live in Paris )

I placed the order on thursday 17th so he could receive the card no later than the 22nd ( his birthday ). Today is the 27th and he still hasn't received it. 3 working days for the card to be delivered so they said, well not true at all.

I wouldn't recommend to use them. I'm SO disappointed as it was meant to be a surprise and it ruined everything.

I would have appreciated to be asked if I wanted them to send the same card again to my friend because there is no way I can find and remember what I had written in that card.

SO unprofessional!!!

Great service if you live abroad!

I live in south west France & find 'Hallmark' invaluable for great cards for family & friends. If any of you out there has ever tried to find decent cards over here, then you'll know it's practically impossible. Apart from the fact they're expensive, they're all in french!!! So, even though I've tried other online card companies, I always use 'Hallmark'. Their prompt service, fabulous choice & competetive prices are a winner for me.

Straightforward card sending

I've used Hallmark a number of times to send cards directly to friends & family, they have a good range and I haven't come across any problems when ordering. Would happily recommend.

I have used Hallmark regularly over the last couple of years to purchase personalised cards. I have always found the process of personalising cards easy to follow and the delivery and quality of the cards has always been top notch. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Preferred the old site & options

Been using Hallmark for quite a few years now & had always been extremely happy with them - only real beef being that you couldn't send cards overseas. Now though, with their new web-site there is a serious problem with personalising cards. You can no longer change colours or font size to accommodate what you want to say & when you are able to enter everything it's not always there when you review it, which I assume means that it won't be on the printed card either. I also now find it really difficult to navigate around when I want to look for something specific. Also, new site lost all my saved dates & worst still addresses, which are lengthy to re-enter.

Appalling customer services.

In the past I have always been pleased with my purchases until the 1st September when my parents Anniversary card turned up faulty there was a nasty smear across it.I informed customer services via email twice and was ignored twice.On my third email they answered me and promised a replacement,however they emailed me to say they had shipped it along with a picture of the card. (the wrong one they had sent my nieces card instead) However it never came.I emailed them again and they said would I like a refund that was on 27th sept..still no refund so I emailed again and they said they had refunded it into my account..But after checking they clearly have not.It is now the 24th Oct still not received a card or a refund. So if you want good customer service from this company forget it ,there quality of cards are very good but when something goes wrong their customer service is truly appalling.

never let me down

i have used this service on numerous occasions and the correct card has always arrived on the correct doorstep on time as indicated. I use it mostly because i like to use my own photos to personalise the card or sometimes its hard to get a card which says grandson and age
on the same card so hallmark let me do this

WARNING!!! some faults on website when personalising!!!

I ordered a set of personalised christening invites yesterday. As promised they arrived today and i am fairly happy with the end result. However, the final line of the invite ( RSVP tel number) has been missed off the bottom. This is because when you are typing in your details it lets you go way over the number of characters allowed on the invite and when i previewed it i had not noticed it was missing. I accept that this is partially my mistake but i was so pleased with how the invitation looked. When i have used other sites to personalise gifts in the past they have a limit on the characters allowed so you automatically know if you are going over. I now have a full set of invites which i am going to have to hand write RSVP on which i feel will spoil the overall look and defeats the object of getting them personalised and printed. This would have definitely been a 5 star rating if this hadnt happened!

Hallmark cutting costs on orders - no customer service!

I ordered 2 cards one for brother and one for uncle, and ticked the box on both to ask for them to be sent direct to my brother. The site is obviously not user friendly as one card was sent to my brother and the other back to me. When the card I received arrived it was just in one envelope addressed to me and I have had to cross out my name and address and then use another envelope to send to my brother. I had to go out specially and buy a stamp and post the card which will now arrive late.
I have never had problems in the past but it seems that Hallmark are cutting back on costs. They are also impossible to reach by phone or email - still awaiting a reply.
I will not use them again, and would warn you of the problems so that you don't have to go to this trouble. This is the first time in 53 years that my brother has not received a card from me.

Hallmark made responded following this complaint and apologised and refunded my money. I was happy with this and will try ordering another card in the future and give them a second chance

No Problems, would use again!

Used hallmark.co.uk a few times and never had any issues. Didn't realise that they did Gifts and Gift Wrapping and was very impressed with products I received, especially the story buddies I ordered which my nieces and nephews loved!! It was also the first time I'd paid a little extra for the designer boutique card and was well worth it!! Card looks of excellent condition and design was great.

Fast service!

I ordered a card, gift and gift bag for a 1-year old birthday party we were invited to. I had left to the last minute and already thought I would have to rush to the shops but I ordered on Thursday and everything was there on time for the party at the weekend.
The mum was very pleased with the present and impressed that it was all matching! All in all a great site for special occasions.
