I have been trying to return items purchased over 100 miles from where I live.
There was no mention of the refund policy in store nor on the receipt and despite emailing customer services several times, they send generic replies but refuse to acknowledge or respond to my specific questions.
I would never buy from them again and am still trying to sort out my refund!
Hallmark has let me down big time, ordered my three special Christmas cards 9th December 2013 it is now 20th December 2013 sent 7 emails to customer service and no reply, I have used them for a long time but this now sadly is the end I will never use them again. What a huge let down Hallmark.
Make sure you have selected the correct address to send your cards to. If you have several addresses it seems to default to the last address used, even if you click the 'back to me' button. Apparently this button just sends an additional envelope!!! I have been using Hallmark for some time and have just made this mistake and there is nothing they can do about it. It's all automated and I have just sent 3 personalised cards to someone I hardly know! They really do need to do something to make it clear on the web site..............
Bought a medium sized card but as it was a 'designer' one it cost £3.99 instead of the usual medium card price of £2.99. Shocked to find on paying that I had been charged £1.10 for delivery instead of the 60p it costs usually. Apparantly, as my card was more expensive it puts me into the next delivery bracket so I have to pay more for the same sized card despite it costing the same as a standard medium card to post. When I complained they just said thanks for the feedback. Will be buying elsewhere in future.
Ordered several items in their January sale. Apart from one item, out of stock, everything was delivered speedily and I was very impressed with the quality of the products, which ranged from cards and wrapping paper to tree ornaments.
I had a look at the choice of cards that were offered, and one jumped out at me my niece will be turning 20 years of age in a few days and she loves shoes the card was perfect, I can't wait to give it to her. It was easy to order and to customise so it will great for her. Thank You hallmark
so I placed my orders for my xmas cards on the afternoon of the 19th, BEFORE the 20th cut off date as advertised..
No cards arrived before xmas, they turned up today- the 29th! I ordered windscreen wipers on xmas eve that came on the 27th, so NO EXCUSE! it was my son's first xmas and whilst he is too young to know any different, I am appalled. Resorting to writing here as they did not respond to my boxing day email.
Ordered a Christmas card for my wife on behalf of my 3yr old daughter. Couldn't leave the house due to illness, so this service seemed ideal. Placed order in time for Christmas delivery and was pleasantly surprised that the delivery arrived next day. Sadly the card was not what I ordered and did not match the description on the dispatch note. The card was for a son not a mum. No time to reorder and unable to go out shopping so no card for Mum for Christmas. If you can't check the basics, you shouldn't be in this business. A service that people rely on for special occasions needs a far higher level of reliability.
I received a mail offering £10.00 off orders over £20-00 - the site accepted the promotion code but didn't apply the discount. so the order was cancelled On complaining received a reply offering 10% off my next order ! I placed an order for 5 cards at 03:25am on 19th December and received an email acknowledging the order. The payment was removed from my credit card immediately. The order is currently ( 25th December !!) marked in my account as 'acknowledged'. Not one card has been received.
To add insult to injury a further email was received from Hallmark on 20th December stating that all orders placed by 2.00 pm on that day would be despatched to ensure delivery before 25th December.
ordered cards tuesday for both parents birthday.......still not arrived Saturday?? Next time i will send from Australia - it may be quicker! Shame, as i was going to send all my xmas card via site.....will shop around instead.
Placed two orders over two days, money taken and confirmation emails received. Logged onto site a few days later to find only one order showing which was partially cancelled. No email notifying of this. Phoned about the other order not showing on my account and was told that it was out for delivery no problem, Great I think until it arrived and low and behold part of the order had again been cancelled, NO EMAIL and NOT even and explanation in the package I did receive. it seems this company don't have a clue as even customer service can't access the account other than to say its out for delivery. I am still waiting for a response re the other order so all in all not a company I would chose to deal with again after I get my money returned!! Do a search on the net you will find this is not an isolated or sour grapes review!!
I waited for an order for my wife's birthday, never arrived so phoned and they said there was a problem with the order. Why did I have to phone to identify this! Customer Services said it was possibly a Google Chrome issue, but wasn't sure. I checked website terms and it says Chrome is supported. (the site doesn't load at all for me today with IE8). Anyway, I customised my 2 cards again with Chrome, placed and paid for order. When I phoned to check, again it had an error on their side. I give up. I'd love to use another browser but it's my work computer. One missed birthday and lots of wasted time
Browsing is a doddle with plenty of variety, and personalising a card is extremely easy & fun to do, plus you can really put your feelings into any particular card whether it be humorous or sentimental. Also very convenient at times, especially if you have forgotten someone and you can't get to the shops, or you want something that little bit special.
Ordered 3 xmas cards, one with a photo. I fully personalised them and found it really simple to do. Got them for £2.99 each instead of £5.99 with the xmas offer and they came within 2 days and exactly as I ordered. Really good value and excellent service!!
Ordered a printed mug for my wife from the kids, the mug was displayed with a fixed sentance and an option to add a name, changed the name to Mummy's and upon arrival that's all it said the fixed sentance was gone, now ordered another mug and written the sentance myself at an additional cost of £9
I did the card and sent and paid for it only to realise there is a mis-spelling on it so got in touch with them to see if they can alter it but they said they was unable to as its automated but not yet been printed. A bit of a joke to be fair.
