Bought a 800W active speaker and they delivered the wrong one. Quick response to my problem, they arrenged it all with the transportaion company to pick the wrong item. They gave me to options reshipment of the correct speaker or refund. I chose the refund, and all money was transferred back via the original method of payment in a week.
I recommend Hifi-tower to everyone. Hope next time i dont have any problem.

Problem 'Amplifier' Solved

I recently had to return an amplifier because on receipt I found that the specification on the HiFi Tower website did not correspond with the written specification enclosed with the amplifier. I immediately rang HiFi Tower and explained the problem (which by the way was not their fault). Within three days I had a complete refund, including postage and a firm apology for the error. If that's not great customer service from a genuinely caring company, I'd really like to know what is.

Excellent service

When a product I bought at Hi-fi Tower developed a fault after 6 months I contacted them to see if there was any chance of returning it. They couldn't have been more helpful and asked if I wanted a complete refund, exchange of the same product or a different product instead. I opted for an exchange of the same product (the Klarstein vacuum) because it had worked well until then. Hifi Tower recommended a courier company to collect the return product, the cost of which they refunded immediately. My replacement arrived within a week.

My first impression was wrong...

About 2 months ago, I originally ordered an amp which went faulty after 2 minutes of using it. Returning it was a bit of a problem but we got there in the end and I was refunded. Now, I decided to try the company again, I ordered the same amp which arrived within 3 working days, and this time it works fine! Good value too.

I checked out all the reviews before purchasing and some of them were indeed quite worrying. On ordering the speakers i recieved an email saying warehouse systems were being changed around so the delivery was going to take a while longer, however i ordered on the tuesday, and to my surprise got them; a package over 40kg, on the friday.

Quality of product is amazing, paint scratched off with ease and the carpet fitted to the speaker's casing is not made or glued on extremely well, but service and delivery are excellent, Thankyou

Some problems but got there in the end

No manual initially - and it didn't work easily 'out of the box' so I had to whinge at them to get a manual in English - I think I got one in German. This proved to be the usual barely adequate translation associated with cheap products. But the end result has been a machine that has done what has promised, though subject to occasional crashes, and is the envy of friends by allowing recording TV programmes onto a memory stick :)

I have been purchasing products off Hifi Tower for awhile now. They have always responded to my emails quickly and when I did have a problem with one of my products they were really quick to sort out my problems for me.

It is hard to trust internet purchasing but I feel confident with Hifi Tower in that they will always deal with any questions and concerns.

Damaged goods,No telephone suport,Item faulty, automated email reply

Firstly, I cannot believe that ALL of their customer support team are unavailable to answer telephone calls during the "Migration".

Secondly I am sorry to report that the item was damaged in transit. Although the box externally looked OK it has evidently been dropped onto its top corner causing the casing to be partly crushed.

Thirdly I am sorry to report it was also not working. Having connected it to my surround sound system I got no response from it at all. This could however be because of the lack of manual explaining how to connect it up and the purpose of the phase, frequency and auto controls, although not being particularly stupid I have worked out most of that for myself.

Finally, the system seems not to have been assembled completely, this was demonstrated by the fact that the screws holding the control/connection panel onto the back of the unit where only partly screwed in.

Quality control seems to be something of an issue, it seems a shame since most peoples experience of this company is a good one.

I will review my comments once they have had an opportunity to address the problems.

Additional information .. After sales service and communications :-

Despite the system migration Eric proved to be very helpful is resolving my issues he arranged the collection of the faulty goods and their replacement.

This was a smooth operation and I am now pleased to say that my confidence in the company has been restored and I would have no hesitation in dealing with them again in the future.

In fact, I would go as far as to recommend them if you are looking for a good after sales service and excellent goods at an equally excellent price.

I am now a happy customer again.

I placed an order on the 19th of May. On the 21st they emailed me saying that my item was out of stock and I amended the order and paid extra. Since then they responded on the 25th saying there was a problem with the warehouse and that they would get back to me with a status but nothing. Their phone is an automated message.

Still Waiting.

My order was placed and the money was taken on the 6th of May. On the 12th of may i was told "Your order was dispatched on Monday or Tuesday morning. It was dispatched with the normal 3 to 5 working day shipping, but we are unable to provide tracking details at this time. We should be running again at a normal capacity next week, and hopefully by then tracking numbers will be again emailed." Then on the 17th i was told "Please accept our apologies for this, but the speakers that you ordered are currently out of stock." when i was already told they were on there way i was then offered a refund or to change the speakers i asked few questions and decided i would get better speakers and pay the different The last order i received was on the 18th and it said "I cant seem to find an order for you in our system. If you can provide me with an order number, I can amend the order for you and send you the difference in payment. " i have sent my order number my full order confirmation email and a few other emails since today i sent my last email asking them to just cancel everything. it has been 6 days since i have had any contact with them and when i call it just says there upgrading. I was highly disappointed as all the reviews were so good and i was really looking forward to getting my speakers at such a good price.

UPDATE 28th May:
Still waiting for my money I have had a reply saying they will give me my money back but no money back as of yet and since that email my emails are being ignored again.

Fraudulent Trader - Beware

Hifi-Tower have been attempting to totally rip me off whilst trading on eBay, and insulting me in the process.

Hifi-Tower were paid immediately upon pressing BUY-IT-NOW over ebay, and then I heard nothing for days. I later emailed them asking for a tracking number to monitor the progress of the order, and they insisted I never paid!! They then sent me strings of emails insisting I complete a seperate checkout than the one set up on eBay, to which I obviously refused. I then emailed back insisting they check their records, since they obviously hadn't done so up until now, otherwise they would have seen a big pound sign symbol in their MY EBAY page.

Three days later, they have the nerve to attempt an "Unpaid Item Strike" against my account! Obviously, they have not received negative feedback, and a Paypal claim made against them.

fast&good

The speakers arrived quickly and were well packed.

Good product shame about the packaging

First time used I've HI-FI Tower was quite suprised about being a UK based sales company but their products are shipped from Germany!!! Recieved item fine and in good time but the parcel was a bit worse for wear but with the 3 boxes and packing material it servived the trip well! But the other thing i will say is the delivery company DPD have parcel tracking system which is useless it decided to tell me my parcel had been shipped a day after i received it!

Beyond all understanding the 2 speakers were split into 2 separate orders. Once I received on time the other due in a further 10 days. Vendor would not help or budge at all. Very unhappy. Considering the circumstances surrounding this transaction, the customer needed the products for a gig the next day and we do therefore understand that the buyer is upset with this transaction.
Sometimes however delivery can take longer than expected, especially with a delivery weighing over 40kg. We did our best to inform the buyer of this from the beginning of the transaction.
Unfortunately a rating of 1 star with such a comment as "Appalling customer service" is not very resonable consdering our advice on many occasions via telephone.
Consdering our previous 176 comments stating the opposite to this review, we hope that this message is seen as a "one off" experience and one that is given out of anger. Additionally we would recommend to this this buyer and other buyers if you have events that are less than one week away, please take in mind delivery delays can occur and if you do decide to take the risk of ordering products online and are under a deadline, please ensure a little extra time is added to account for any delays that could occur.

The equipment was delivered within 3 days of purchase. Although I tested it at home there and then and it worked perfectly, I reserved judgement until after I used it in earnest at my bowls club socials. I was asked to write a review of a cinema sound system i recently bought from Hi-Fi Tower and was only too pleased to do so. I decided to buy the system to compliment my new 50in plasma and didn't have a lot of money so wanted to spend as little as possible. My daughter spent over £300 on hers and obviously it sounds like nothing else but having purchased an Auna system from Hi-Fi Tower for an absolute fraction of the cost to my daughter I can truthfully say that the sound difference is so minimal it really is hardly noticable. I'm not trying to persuade "Hi-Fi heads" that my system is in the same league as the top makes but I spent a tenth of what my daughter paid and I belive its the best value for money purchase I've made for a long time. Arrived on time tho parcel looked as if it had been towed all the way up the motorway! Wharfedale Wi Fi Headphones

Work perfectly with Panasonic Plasma TV. Slight hiss but can be overcome by turning up the headphone speakers within TV settings and reducing volume control on headphones. Range is brilliant can even hear in upstairs rooms (if I ever wanted to). My only comment is in regard to their courier company. I was unable to track delivery time although the consignment number was supplied.
