A MUST!!!!!!!

This course is a MUST if you are attending a Police Officer, PCSO or Special Constable Assessment Centre.
This is a one day Police course. Lots packed into on day. Alot of grate tipes that are easy to remember on the day, you will also get a taster of what you will expect on the day.
The course delivered by Chris with life experience of the job and what to expect. Good group work together of shearing ideas. Class size good not large numbers, which gives the course quality in teaching.
If it wasn't for this course i doubt i would of passed first time, thank you so much!

Great Course

Great prep for police Assessment centre

I attending the Police course at the end of February in an attempt to gain further insight into the requirements and expectations of the police assessment centre. I had been provided with a date for my A/C and was hoping that the course would give me that extra edge required to pass.
I can categorically say that the course was extremely insightful, well structured and provided me with valuable information which enabled me to pass my A/C with a score of 59%.
The practice role play scenarios were a great help and Chris was very good at answering any questions we had.
The numerical test have recently changed and are now calculator & heavily percentaged based. I feel the course may need to update slightly to include this. Saying that they may have already done so...
I recently just had my final interview and was delighted to discover I had been successful!
I feel it was definitely money well spent and without attending this course I don't think I would have been successful.

Learning made fun!

One day Police course. Lots packed into on day. Bite size information given, grate tipes given too. Test given as a taster of what you have to expect a good way of seeing what you need to work on. this course is well worth the money for general understanding on how to become a train driver.
i feel improvments need to be made though!, to make it more effective and useful.
one useful feedback i can give towards the improvment for other couse users is to make the time we have more effective so we get more time to practise.
to be totally honest i cant leave proper review as its the only course iv been too.
if you are thinking of doin this course i would suggest that it is worth making the effort to attend as its will help with the parts you find difficult .

Train Driver Course

Just returned from the Train Driver course 24/03/13.

What an excellent day! Covered all aspects of becoming a trainee train driver, including application form and CV, psychometric tests and structured and manager interviews.

The course was taken by Chris, very knowledgeable who knew the subject matter inside out. A wealth of helpful ideas and strategy's.

A comprehensive day worth every penny, if you're planning to become a train driver, go on this course.

Train driver course

Went to the Train Driver course on 10/03/13. 

It was instructed by Chris. 



It was a good course. The teacher made us all feel welcome and relaxed, and the advice he gave us on interviews and CV writing was very good. You could use these techniques going for any job. However job centers and career advisers can help you do this.

In the course I wanted to gain more information regarding the test that would be involved in becoming a train driver. Some examples in the course were given on the day but I would of liked to have gone into more depth on the tests rather than interview techniques. You must past the tests before you get an interview and any advice help given towards this would have been more beneficial. Even if a book or website was recommended.

Attended firefighter course today, very very pleased and impressed! Advise and information worth every penny! I was quite nervous to start with but chris made everybody feel at ease straight away and I really enjoyed the day. the course itself was so helpful and very easy to follow! Would recommend these courses to anybody!

Absolutely fantastic course! He made us all feel comfortable, and the advicehe gave us was top notch, right down to interview and application techniques that would be beneficial or all walks of life!!

In depth tuition on the train companies' criteria and on how to get the best out of the assesment day etc.

Highly recommended to anyone thinking of persuing ANY career, lt alone Train Driving!!!

Excellent course. Nicely presented, professional and friendly.

I attended the firefighters course. It completely striped me of all I thought I knew of what to I wanted to do and how to go about doing it. ( clearly the wrong way) which is what most of us do. I now have some knowledge and tactics to not only help me with the fire service but with anything in life. I now feel like I have the right approach to what ever I decide to do with my career. Would strongly recommend to anyone that wants to take the step.

Train Driver Course - Absolutely superb :-)

Just completed the How 2 become a Train Driver Course today and it was excellent throughout. Instructor (Chris) very friendly, made me feel relaxed & comfortable. The advice he gave was first class and can be used in a number of situations. I would recommend anyone who wants to have an excellent chance at passing the tests & interviews then you should come on this course. Well worth the money.

I got everything I wanted and more. The input on the application was very informative.

Fantastic confidence builder of a course

I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to become a Police Officer. It has filled me with confidence and I feel prepared for the Assessment Centre.

The course tutor was relaxed and informative and there was plenty of opportunity to ask questions and air concerns and thoughts.

Excellent value for money, I highly recommend the course for anyone who is interested in joining the Fire Service.

I have wanted to join a Fire Service in the UK for the past six years. Trouble is due to government cuts the Fire service does not regularly recruit. I have successfully completed the recruitment tests, physical and interview in the past, however I did not get a high enough grade to successfully make it onto the training course following the recruitment campaign. I was placed on the waiting list and never got the call. I decided to attend this course to give myself an advantage when the fire service next recruited, so next time i would achieve a higher grade. The course was excellent, everything I have experienced in my time trying to become a trainee firefighter was included in the course. I was given extensive information I am sure will be crucial to me achieving my goal of becoming a firefighter. I have now become more confident and if you are serious about becoming a firefighter I recommend you sign up to the next course.

I would recommend for everybody who would like to become Police Officer!

The ideal course to gain sufficient information to pass the police recruitment

I was very pleased with the course content and I have come away with a lot of positive information on how to pass the police recruitment. The course itself covered all parts of the police recruitment process which included the new police competencies.

The course was taken by Chris Benham who is an ex police officer with a lot of experience. Chris was very helpful with regards to answering any queries and created a postive atmosphere in getting the best out of all the students.

I would highly recommend anyone wishing join a public service to attend the course, I feel more confident after attending the course and with extra research I will be able to put in a successful application for the police.

Expert instruction providing a structured solution to the application process

The instruction provided and course content is superb. Instantly achieving a relaxed atmosphere in which to learn Chris’s qualifications for teaching the course are obvious, as an ex serving Special Constable and Police Officer with a background and passion for training he is ideally suited.

The day is structured to deal with all elements of the initially intimidating Police Officer selection process. Breaking the application, interviews, role plays and written work into manageable and achievable sections. I now feel much better prepared for achieving my goal in becoming a Police Officer.

Police Officer Books, DVD's and Courses are great value for money; The course however was out of date!

Having recently been through the Police Officer recruitment process I can say this.

NPIA Ryton has recently revised their assessments and so the key core competencies are different, verbal reasoning is different and the maths is different. Worth every penny.

I would highly recommend the How2Become series. I found the practice tests invaluable in passing my OPC tests.

Well worth doing HOW2BECOME

I went on the Train Drivers Day and thoroughly enjoyed the day it was informative with lots of useful information Hints and Tips and hands on with the tests and exercises too,
I have applied for a trainee train drivers job with a TOC and How2 gave me this confidence to complete the application form to the required standard giving me the best chance which I wouldnt have had if I hadnt had gone on this well worth course I personally recommend it if you are thinking of a career as a train driver.

Leaves no question unanswered!!!

What a great day, met some fantastic people. Gave me the confidence and made clear all the areas I wanted to learn more about. No one is singled out in the group and Chris gives it his all to make the day worth it. I would strongly recommend this course for people who are lookin to join as a police officer or a special. The Information you need quickly

Having looked at changing career i decided that in today's congested market of looking for jobs, i need some assistance. I therefore decided to buy the How2become a Train Driver. A job renowned for being very difficult to get. The info provided has so far been helpful and simple to understand. I would recommend.

I attended the seminar about the Fire Service. Well, what can i say? Im so happy I did! I knew a bit about PQAs before attending, and everything that was taught just confirmed it all and filled me with confidence about my upcoming interview for London. The course covered all parts of the police recruitment process in a very relaxed and informative way. A friendly atmosphere was created so that any question you had, and perhaps were afraid to ask, was easy to venture. The role plays instead of seeming scary actually turned out to be really fun, with almost everyone daring to have a go! I'd definitely recommend this course, I now feel much better prepared for all stages of the recruitment process.

This book was full of many questions that came up in the entry test and was good practice for all problem solving math questions etc. it also gave me a good training programme to bring my fitness up to the right level

Fantastic book, save your time trawling through the internet and buy the book. The trainee train driver manual help from start to finish, with some fantastic idea for your application. The DVD that comes with the book gives a great insight into what will be asked in the interview once you have perfected your application.
I have friend who are applying for the police and have recommended they use the how 2 become books as they will greatly assist them in the process. thanks for all the help.

This is best Train manual ever.

Hi my name is Kevin and i recommend anyone who are looking to pursue a career in the train industry , to purchase a copy of the train manual in How2Become a trainee train driver. The book that call How2Become a train driver contain so much information,such as ,CV preparation, practice test questions, and how to prepare for an interview. They also has a one day training course in Kent to help you more prepare yourself for job in a train company, however unfortunately i was not able to attend any of these course because i can not afford it, but i do recommend anyone who can afford it to go and improve your knowledge about the operation of trains etc.

A must buy for all aspiring train drivers.

I purchased the How2become a train driver book and this give me all the help and information needed to get a good pass at the assessment centre.
