Be wary of paying by card!
I recently placed an order for a takeaway via HungryHouse but had difficulty with the payment process as the site kept crashing, the last time during the card authorisation process. I wasn't sure whether payment had been made so I called the restaurant directly. They told me that they weren't taking orders from HH any more as "I think they've gone out of business". If I wanted the food I would have to pay the restaurant directly, which I did. I checked my account the next day and low & behold the £32.40 had been debited twice, once by HH and once by the restaurant. I called HH and they said that they were still in business and would refund the money immediately. That was 9 days ago and I'm still waiting.
