Works perfectly, never had any issues with the hungryhouse platform. Secure debit/credit card functionality solves not having cash late on a Sunday, and a searchable database of partnered takeaway establishments means you can wave goodbye to the traditional drawer-full of different menus.
A decent selection of local takeaways mean that I can pick and choose my supplier of choice backed up by decent honest reviews of both the food and the service. Only once had a problem and that was due to a simple mis-communication which HH quickly communicated to me and sorted out. As this market starting to flood with bandwagon jumpers, HH remains one of a small handful that know the business well enough to guarantee my customer for many years to come.
Made two orders to two restaurants on the same evening. The first never arrived and the restaurant had no knowledge of the order when I contacted them directly. There was no immediate way of contacting hungryhouse and I got no reply to my complaint - I was left with no food and was wondering what happened to my money. The second order arrived but there was no confirmation from the website that my order had been accepted... I had to phone the restaurant to check the order had got through... In summary a protracted waste of time, effort and money... will never use this service again...
I ordered online and paid online with a card. When the food arrived the delivery driver insisted that I should pay in cash so I did so and immediately contacted HH. HH apologised and refunded the amount to my card. However this meant I was charged TWICE for card handling and one was refunded so in effect I was charged for using cash.
Initially I was angry with HH and despite some confusion I can only say they have been professional.
HH have since contacted me and resolved the issue and have applied a credit to my account.
Really impressed with this company. Really easy to use and the pre book idea makes organising an evening painless.
So far the subscribing restaurants seem that I have used have been spot on. I had one Problem with a miss delivered order but the company involved phoned me straight away, prepared a fresh order and still delivered inside the window.
I can fully recommend Hungryhouse.
Great to order on line and be able to add up what you're spending as you go plus if you have a group of people who want to have different food everyone can order from different restaurants and get delivered at about the same time.
Hungryhouse website is really easy to use, clear and simple information, simple design.

We've used Just Eat for ages, but when learnt our favourite indian takeaway used a company called Hungry House was curious what the fuss was about.. The difference between user experience was huge.. HH was clear and concise and just made the whole faff of ordering so much easier.. We had 1 issue with an order not coming through, but was actually down to the takeaway place getting confused with an almost identical order to a similar address/name. Was incredibly quickly sorted by HH and we got a free meal out of it.. Bonus all round..
I always use hungry house to order my pizza there system is great to use and very easy to understand.
I have never had a problem with ordering or even paying through them.
I would like more takeaways on as in my area there are only 2 i can order from so we always use the same one.
Overall no probs and would reccomend
Hungryhouse makes it so easy to order a takeaway meal, as everyone says though in moderation because before you know it the cooker will be thrown out.
This all depends on if you have a decent takeaway near you i suppose and everyones taste is different but ive found a good one a really good one and hungryhouse is the first place i think of to get the order in.
I would recommend this site to order takeaways at the drop of a hat, the site is really easy to use and it keeps a history of your orders, which can be a bad thing if your wondering why you put two stone on last year!

I have been ordering delivery food on Hungry House for 6 months now, and nothing to complain so far. The site is easy to choose and to pay as well. Love the fact that I can order food on line, pay by credit card and the food is in my door 30 minutes after. Totally recommend this site.
I think these online ordering systems are a great idea in theory but I have had a lot of trouble with HH. No end of hassle with trying to install the app, and on two occasions had so much trouble putting payment through by card that I have had to give up and order directly from the take-away outlet. Keep missing out on the supposed 'discounts' that I get sent by email due to these issues. When it works - great. When it doesn't - total pain!
I love ordering from hungry house, the food is always tracked and you know the restaurants past with the review, i try and use it all the time
We are now paperless when it comes to take aways, happily recycling the menus that daily come through the door. We return time and time again to this site. Saved details means it is super easy to repeat orders, use cards and fill our bellies in next to no time. I once couldn't get a discount on my order despite putting in the code and my query was dealt with as soon as I sent the email, they added a note to my account and 30seconds later I was ordering with a re-instated discount. They are great but not so great for my waistline!
Ordered a takeaway at the weekend which was extremely late in arriving. Hungryhouse offer no help or compensation when you complain. I tried to leave a fair review of the takeaway explaining the lateness, but hungryhouse rejected it saying that the takeaway could sue them for libel. What's the point of having a review system in that case?! Will try Just-Eat next time.

I'm unlikely to buy with Hungry House again after my last experience. The takeaway was meant to be delivered asap but ended up arriving 1hr 45 mins later. The soup and sauce were spilt everywhere. There's no way of cancelling an order that is set to take a very long time and the takeaway houses take every order even if they cannot deliver. No apology from the takeaway house and no response to my complaint to Hungry House as yet.
The system is easy to use and user friendly interface. Mobile app also convenient. Love possibility to order in advance. Lots of choice - variety of restaurants allow me to satisfy taste buds. Love email confirmations after placing orders.
i usually use the same restaurants that i know (Brighton), but i find HH very simple and easy to use and i will continue using them. i also found an amazing Indian (Shahi Tandoori) through them. Very very happy and i have used the site several times with no problems at all. i especially like the pre-order option. Thanks Guys
Never had a really bad experience using Hungry House, but generally we only order from the same place each time.
The only real issue we had was partly my fault due to not checking my email sooner to see HH were unable to contact the takeaway and refunded my money (we then tried phoning ourselves a few times to no avail) so our pizza didn't arrive till about two hours later.
They quite regularly send out 20% off offers if signed up to received emails, but they don't spam you which is nice (:

I ordered with H/H including a simple written instruction to H/H for the delivery man to ring my number when they were at the front door as I live in a town house and find it hard to hear the door
After waiting an hour and a half I rang the restaurant enquiring where my delivery was to be told they had been and there was no answer.
They re-delivered it and after quizzing the driver he told me that H/H don't send them the phone number or instructions????? what ever the reason and who ever is responsible I ended up spending £13 on a meal that ended up in the bin.
Firstly, the delivery times are extremely long (I know that it isn't the takeaway themselves as I have ordered from them directly since experiencing the issue with HH and the order was with me twice as fast), sometimes up to an hour an a half. Secondly, the first time I ordered through HH, I was offered a discount if I ordered over a certain amount and paid by card. The discount didn't work despite me checking and double checking that everything was correct and when I tried to get help, I got no reply! All in all, a mediocre experience at best; I will be ordering from the takeaway places directly in the future.
Unfortunately it only has 2 takeaways in my area when Just Eat has something like 15 and more. I have been interested in trying HungaryHouse but until it gets more takeaways at HU17, I will be forced to use Just Eat.
