I am so impressed with the quality of quick service, excellent customer updates and communication and quality repair. I was worried about the cost of fixing my iphone and was surprised at how cost effective (£26 for replacing a shattered glass face) and how rapid the service was (5 days in total)
The excellent email communication when my phone was received, then fixed and then dispatched gave a real feeling of professional service. Highly recommend this company to all in serahc of professional, quick affordable iphone repairs.
My problem is so similar to Graham's below that I copied his words and changed them only slightly. Clearly these are repeat offenders.
I sent my Ipod to them because it wouldn't charge up or turn on. I was informed that the problem was with the battery and on/off switch. I received the ipod back after and it worked for about 30 mins but then the same fault occurred. I attempted to charge it overnight, but it would not charge up.
In other words after around £50 of expenditure, the ipod was exactly as I had sent it to them!.
I emailed a ton of times and got no response. I rang, and a lady (probably [name] from previous reviews) asked me to send it back for repair under guarantee.
After about 3 days I got am email saying the ipod was unrepariable and was being sent back. It arrived a couple of days later and had not been repaired.
Naturally I want my money back for a repair that didn't work.
I have sent another 4 mails to date and have no response and I am about to call and engage with trading standards if I don't get a suitabel answer.
I am writing this as they are obviously a very bad company to deal with, and clearly do not care about customer service or even the quality of their work. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid them at all costs.
I have now used iPhone Specialist twice for the same iPod Touch which had the front touch screen smashed on a tiled floor. They are so easy and straight-forward to deal with. The website is really easy to use, you get an immediate response and the turn-around for the iPod repair (both times) was about 3-4 days which is excellent.
I would definitely use their service again (hope i don't have to!) and whole-heartedly recommend them.
Sent in iPhone 4 with smashed front screen on Tuesday afternoon. By wednesday lunchtime i had a confirmation receipt from Iphonespecialist and a few hours later an email saying it was fixed and on its way back. It arrived the next morning, so less than 48 hours from me sending it. Absolutely 5-Star service, value for money and communications from Iphonespecialist - would defintiely use again
I was distraught after dropping my iphione in water, I did the good old leaving it in rice and nothing. I found iphone specialists online and was dubious about sending off my phone. I emailed first and someone replied within an hour. They were very efficient, explained everything fully and the service was faultless. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone.
DO NOT PAY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY.
DO NOT SEND YOUR DEVICE TO THIS COMPANY.
My daughter dropped her much cherished ipod (7th generation) and smashed the screen. After checking that it was still working (and therefore, worth repairing) I sent it to iphonespecialist for a replacement screen. I got no acknowledgement that they had received the ipod so I chased the repair after a week… and again after 2 weeks… and finally got the ipod back after 3 weeks.
When I attempted to use the ‘repaired’ ipod the replacement touch screen did not work. It fast-forwarded through songs and chose menu options of its own volition without anyone touching the screen. It was not possible to choose other menu options. It was completely un-usable and my daughter was in tears. The ipod also looked distinctly worse for wear with dents in it that were not there previously.
WHY WAS AN IPOD THAT CLEARLY DID NOT WORK RETURNED TO ME IN THIS STATE? It suggests that they made no attempt to test it prior to returning it to me.
I restored the ipod software from itunes and re-synchronised the content back onto it just in case this would solve the problem. It did not. Clearly the problem was with the hardware. Therefore, I returned it under warranty to iphonespecialist with a description of the fault.
Their response was to try and charge me £10 to restore the software. I told them that I had already done this myself and that it had made no difference. At this point they said that they would restore the software for free and get back to me. They did not.
After two to three weeks with no update from them I emailed to check on progress. They said they would check with their engineers and get back to me. They did not.
After a further 2 weeks I emailed again. They re-iterated that they would need to do a restore and that it would cost me £10. Why? I had already done this and it had made no difference. They said I had not done a full restore as there was still music on the ipod. This was because I had re-synchronised the musical content of the ipod AFTER restoring the software. How was I to supposed to test the ipod if it had no music on it? It was at this point that I started to realise that this company had very little knowledge of their supposed subject-matter! I asked them to return the ipod as I no longer had any confidence that they would honour their warranty agreement.
A week later the ipod had not been returned so I rang them. I was told that unless I paid £10 for them to restore the software they would be unable to investigate the problem with the replacement screen. I re-iterated that I wanted the ipod returned.
An hour later I received an email saying they couldn’t find any problem with the replacement screen. That’s strange! An hour before they were saying that they wouldn’t be able to check out the screen unless I paid £10 for them to restore the software! They said that the problem was with the software and was, therefore, non-warranty and I would need to pay £9.95 if I wanted the ipod returned. ARE THEY KIDDING? The last thing I did before returning the ipod to them was to restore the software from itunes. Are they seriously suggesting that there is a fault with the software on itunes? I informed them that I had no intention of paying them any money, that I wanted my ipod returned and a refund of the £37.99 I paid for their bodged replacement of a screen which was now un-usable.
It seems to me that this company:
• is totally un-professional with non-existent customer service
• has a poor knowledge of their subject-matter
• has no post-repair testing regimes
• offers worthless warranty
• is only interested in taking money off customers
This company has a professional-looking website and seems to put a lot of effort into replying to the myriad of appalling reviews their company has received on this website. If only they put as much effort into conducting proper repairs, testing the devices before sending them back out to the customer and rectifying their own dreadful handiwork!
My daughter has now been without her much-loved ipod for 3 months whilst this company hold it to ransom. What an appalling experience!
Iphone Specialist repaired a 6th generation iPod for me - it has an unusable power/standby switch. The iPod was repaired and despatched within 24hrs of receipt. i appreciated being emailed to inform me that it had been despatched, enabling me to monitor the post. It was returned in the same condition that it was sent - except that it now works properly. I have no hesitation in recommending iPhone specialist and I would use them again myself. Excellent service.
I sent my Iphone to them because it wouldn't charge up. I was informed that the problem was with the charging port that needed replacing. There was a huge delay becasue they said the PIN number would not work ( but it did) . I asked them to replace the battery as the phone was over 3 years old. Then more delay. Eventually I received the phone back after about 3 weeks and noticed it was about half charged up. It worked ok until that evening, by which time the battery was flat. I attempted to charge it overnight, but it would not charge up.
In other words, after 3 weeks and £47 of expenditure, the phone was exactly as I had sent it to them! I was quite cross because it was obvious that they had not tested the phone before returning it to me to ensure that it would charge.
I rang, and [name] asked me to send it back for repair under guarantee. There was no acknowledgement of receipt so after 3 days I rang and spoke to [name], who said it was being diagnosed and that she would let me know what was wrong. After 3 more working days I had heard nothing so I rang and [name] told me that there was a software fault which would be £20 more to fix.!
I am not paying them any more money and have asked them, in an email to the manager ( as yet unanswered), to either fix the phone or refund the money for the charging port and return it to me so I can get someone competent to fix it.
I am writing this as they are obviously a very bad company to deal with, and clearly do not care about customer service or even the quality of their work. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid them at all costs.
I live in Corby and took my iPhone (that I'd dropped in the toilet) into the store. Within a day, they did the water damage treatment for my phone and it was working as good as new. I can't believe for £9.99 I had a phone worth a lot of money that wasn't working at all and is now working perfectly. Friendly staff and the turn around is so quick. I've told friends about it who have used the company now too and have had the same quick turn around. One friend getting a new screen in PINK, all done in an hour!
I'll definitely be using them again! Thank you for saving my phone!
Wish I had taken phone locally for repair now.
This company have had my phone for 24 days and still no sign of it.
Originally they said it was never received, but when I could produce the date time and signature of the receipient, it was found and logged onto their systems.
Since then nothing.
I WANT MY PHONE BACK!!!!!!!
I am now looking into contacting trading standards and anybody else that will listen.
This company should be stopped.
I only checked reviews on their website before sending my phone off, and can only think that they made them up themselves. Wish I had checked this one first.
and they still owe me £175 refund for unrepaired phone despite being promised i would not be charged.
After telling me 3 times that my phone was repaired and they were sending it back to me a week later i was told the phone was " beyond economic repiar" but they never processed a refund and guess what no response to emails since queriyng this, A nightmare from start to finish to be honest im surprised they even sent the phone back
You have to wonder sometimes, if something is so cheap, how good is it? As I was intending selling the phone afterwards, I took the risk......I sent off my iphone 4s with a ruined front screen on Wednesday - and a fully repaired, looking like new phone was returned by Saturday!! Local repair shops charge £85 - this was proper value for money. Fantastic. Would not hesitate to use them again!
So game of two halves. I sent 2 iPods to them separately. One just for a screen replacement; and one that needed both a screen and an earphone jack fix. Both were labelled clearly with both the order number and the problems since I was worried that having 2 iPods, with one that had 2 problems may cause confusion.
I was right. I paid in advance and the iPods were returned within a week. Great...but just the glass fixed. I contacted them to ask why and they stated that the repair was not listed. Despite me having a clear email with a clear job number and a clear breakdown of what was required...sending it separately..with a clear note quoting job ID and issues...sellotaped to the iPOD?
So 3 weeks later and I have no refund, no contact and a busted earphone jack. Despite them honouring the glass fix I would still recommend that you avoid these people. Their customer services is appalling and they appear to be impossible to get a refund from!!!
I am now having to approach the retail agencies/ombudsman just to try and get some movement.
Sent my iPhone 5 for new screen paid for special next-day delivery 19681 said it had been sent on Friday 19 July but wasn't delivered on 20th as it should have been. Then they said it had been sent on 22 July but still no sign and now they don't know when it was sent and can't give me a tracking order so what does that say. I need my phone it's vital
I first sent my phone off to iphone specialist around 20th January, 2 months later they still have my phone. They returned the phone to me about 4 weeks after a first sent it to them, but it wasn't working so I returned it. Despite being told they would have it for less than a week, a month later I still havn't got my phone back. They first told me they would not fix the phone as it was a different one to the one I originaly sent in and now seem to be refusing to communicate with me at all. The contact I have had, either on the phone or through email has been incredibly rude and dismissive. In a nut shell, this is by far the worst company I have ever used, they are rude, incompetent and tell blatant lies. I am in the process of reporting the matter to trading standards and will be taking the company to small claims court if they do not offer a remedy to the situation very soon. It is disgraceful that this company is able to operate. I would be very interested to talk to any other people who have had bad experiances with this company as any additional evidence or testimonies will be very useful in persuing my case, please feel free to contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Had a new screen fitted to an Ipad 2 all seemed ok. The ipad had been returned with a faulty home button. I sent it back within 3 days and they said they was nothing wrong with it but refused to give it back to me without paying more money. I then rang up and
was told it was in the post. Then next time i was told it was lost in post. Then i was told i had to pay £10. Then i was told i had to pay £7. Eventually i paid £7 to get my still faulty unit back. So now i will have to get another company to repair the home button.
THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS - DO NOT USE THEM PLEASE
I sent my iPhone 3GS of to be fixed and when I got it back I've got a completely different phone it is all scratched on the back the antenna is broken and the screen is not seated properly in the case
To there reply
I had got a new phone so I simply shelved the one you sent me and forgot about it till now because I simply didn't have the time or the money to sort things out . my then new phonehas broke so I needed a spare phone
And can I add that instead of arguing about things would you do what every other company dose and try and sort out some of these people's problems properly
Not to mention the fact that I had to wait abou two weeks while the found my clearly labelled package that "had no label " yes it did printed onto the actual envelope
This is what the original reply to the review was Dear Customer
The question arises- why didn't you contact us regarding this matter? If you received other person's phone you should send it back and let us clarify this situation for you. You didn't call us or email us so we are convinced it's groundless, fake opinion!
It is a true opinion cos here's my detail !
Please send the devices to the address given along with your order number. The lack of order number makes it impossible to identify the owner of the devices and the type of service required and delays the time of the service. Thank you for using our service.
Please send the devices to the address:

1 iPhone 3GS / Front Glass, Touch Screen Repair iPhone 3GS / price: 26.99
Total price: 26.99
My phone is now about as useful as a pedal powered wheel chair, it's now just an oversized ipod
And in response to there reply are you sure you don't have any record of any complaint about my order because I also at the time had to call up and send several emails because they 'lost' my device
So far from what I can see if they don't like it they claim its fake
1st rate service, their website is easy to use and well set out. I posted my ipod with it's smashed screen to them on 14/1/13 and received it back well packed and fully repaired and functioning on 17/1/13. Their communication is great with an email confirming receipt of my ipod, then another letting me know it was repaired and dispatched back to me.
I will without doubt use the iphone specialist again should I suffer any more ipod disasters, and will recommend to family and friends.
It sad to say but getting good service is pretty rare these days. IPhonespecialist have done it.
I have now had a iPhone 4 & ipad 3 both screens replaced and service was excellent. Delivery turn around was brilliant and very impressed getting emails at every stage. I would highly recommend.
I sent my 3GS iphone for repair for a cracked screen (but fully functioning) and got that a phone that had a broken or disconnected home button; a broken or disconnected microphone and could no longer charge! When I approach the company they said I should send them the phone back with my pin number (though they did not say they would take responsibility for the repairs). I explain I could not do that since I no longer can connect the phone in order to revert to factory setting and save my private data. I gave them the offer of refunding me for my repair (which actually produced a completely unusable form) which was generous compared to pursuing them for the damage they have caused and they refused. Do not use them or risk having even less of a phone at the end of the repair after departing with your cash!
And the reply from the iphonespecialist (below and posted since my original review) allows people to see what they will encounter if they use this company. They did not ask me to send the passcode in the first instance. If they had insisted on that, I would have restored my phone to factory settings thereby deletign all my private data and then sent it. They are asking for that now. Presumably they think they can change screens without testing functionality in the first place.
Now they claim that the damage of the microphone, charger and home button must have occurred in transit. Note their words that they are not related to the screen repair! If you see a screen repair you can see it involves disconnecting and connecting things inside the phone. The phone was packaged in about 10 layers of protective bubble wrapping. Now what is more likely that this broke wit...h a bad repair by people that do not know what they are doing and were fiddling inside the phone or that all these internal mechanisms miraculously broke in transit despite the fact the the phone was covered in 10 layers of bubble wrap and completely undamaged externally.
They say now they will look at my phone if I send my password, which would unlock all my personal data, i.e. emails, etc. I cannot protect my data because they broke the charger so I cannot even start it to do that. It is ludicrous to ask someone to send the passcode to their phone with all their personal data.
So if you deal with this company this is what you get! My advise is don't or get your screen repaired at the cost of everything else being disconnected, and then have them tell you is nothing to do with them!
P.S> An engineer who knows what they are doing may not disconnect things. Your so called engineers who seem not to have a clue, disconnected everything. Removing a screen involves opening the phone and exposing all connections. It is a delicate operation and the people that work for you have even less idea of how to do it than I probably do. I don't think I would have managed to break as many things as they did, if I did it myself following the online videos!
my son sent his ipod for repair on a no fix no fee basis he sent off the ipod and sent a requested payment of 42.99 which would be refunded if the ipod could not be repaired the ipod came back within 3 days saying unable to repair and that a refund would be issued within 2 weeks ...almost 4 weeks have now passed i have phoned,e-mailed, been told its going back into my account but it never does how can i get my money back or as people are saying its not worth chasing it ? I am very dissapointed with the customer service i will now be seeking legal advice and contacting BBC watchdog these people should not be allowed to get away with this..i have dealt with this company on good faith...never again.
My girlfriend had broken her screen on her iPod touch a few weeks ago and we were looking for a cheap and trustworthy company which we could send her iPod off to repair, it was then where we came across iphonespecialists, we looked up on their website for prices and it was relatively cheap so we though in giving them a call just to check how the customer service was like, what the process is going to be like and most important of all if we could trust them with our device. Their employees were really friendly and made me feel really confident and safe in sending off the iPod to them.
After sending off the device and making sure they had it, I then couldn't believe how fast their services went and they even called us up to see if we wanted to change the colour which we agreed on it to be pink, we got the device back one day after we sent it and it was in immaculate conditions and we were very overwhelmed with the services we got from them. My girlfriend even insisted in calling them back to tell them how great their services were. Great company and will definitely send off our device to them again!!! 5 star service.
This company have restored my faith!! There service was fast and easy and the job they did was superb. The device in question looked like band new and you could not tell it had been repaired! I would very much recommend this company and it is well worth sending them your damaged device to be repaired!
After initail diagnosis, it turned out my iPhone's camera was damaged as well as broken front glass. Inquiring re this via email was not effiecient, no response was received. I contacted company via phone and the customer service was excellent then! Female member of staff, managed to solve my case immediately which speeded things up.
I am very satisfied with the service and the way my problem was handled.
Price was competetive too!
I used this company to repair my water damaged iPod touch. I followed the postal instructions. Almost 2weeks later no reply. So I started to email them. The told me it was impossible to find my device without id basically sayin it was my fault I dint send some sort of identification even tho I followed the posting instruction as it sed. Luckily for me I had synced the iPod with the pc and had all the info. I passed it on 3 times along with proof of delivery(tracking number). One month later they sent it back to me after telling me the battery needed replacing which I didn't mind paying for. Got it back. Same fading screen issue as before and after opening and inspection I'm pretty sure that its the same battery too. So I emailed complaining and asking how were going to sort this out. Guess what? No reply what so ever!!!
New management same bollock I'm afraid.
I sent the company a phone with a badly broken screen, they fixed it as quickly as they had promised to, the effect was stunning! Answered all my questions fully, the charge for the service was very reasonable. Highly recommended!
Spoke to helpful lady when I called them on Monday, after which I posted off my son's iPod Touch 4G for a replacement screen (iPods don't bounce!!!). After I'd been to the Post Office I read the reviews (bit topsy turvy I know :P ), and almost went back to see if I could grab my iPod back from the Postman!!
However, I needn't have worried. Tuesday morning I received an email from iphonespecialist to say they had received my item and someone would be in touch once it had been repaired. Thursday I received a second email telling me my iPod had been despatched back to me, and today (Friday) it arrived.
Perfectly happy with repair, item was very well packaged, and to be honest, I can't fault the service.
Sent my ipod off on wednesday had it back by saturday fully repaired with excellent service they emailed me when my ipod arrived and was sent back and they fixed my ipod screen perfectly. My ipod is as good as new.
I would recommend them to any broken ipod owners
I would just like thank X-Digits for an amazing service. I sent my Device to you which your company advised me on date recieved would be repaired and sent back to me first class recorded delivery! you recieved my device tuesday and had it back in FULL WORKING condition with ALL repairs done by the thursday. I would recommend you too all my friends and family and advise others to use this services! the prices are fantastic and repair was amazing! I thought I would be with out my device for days and be lost but NO you had repaired and straight back to me. THANKS again for a amazing service!
I called the company and asked them how long will it take them to fix my iPhone and they said if the get it on the next day by post in the morning it will be on the post back to me by that night ....
I send my phone by first class mail to get their the next morning and on Tuesday by Thursday it was back to me like they said it looked even new and all I can say is wow and I will always use this company again and again I am very impressed....
Used them twice and on both occasions a really positive experience. My Ipod NANO had some sound output problems - it`s been quickly diagnosed and repaired. This time I sent my iphone. They found water damage. In all, two days and sent back. Very satisfied.
It took two weeks for the diagnosis - they stated 3-5 working days - then I paid for the repair the moment i got the diagnosis but heard nothing - now over another month later I wrote saying that I was intending to report my device stolen - I had this reply
28th of June we emailed you regarding your repair. We informed you that your device needs new screen, we also told you what to do to let us continue your repair. We didn't receive your payment as a permission for further action, we are waiting and waiting, and waiting and waiting; what do you want us to do then? We informed you and provided to you information on time, unfortunately, you didn't contact us regarding this matter.
Please advise, because we still do not know, what to do with your repair. Please also read our previous email once again, if it's not clear for you, please let me know.
Incredibly rude! I then sent them my receipt and proof that I had paid them on the same date of the diagnosis and asked for an apology and a date for my device to be fixed and returned - yet again I've heard nothing from them. Don't use them - this is a totally unprofessional company
Fast and efficient service to replace a battery and screen. We actually had the case colour changed at the same time and it is lovely. Very quick turnaround. Phone sent on Monday and back on Thursday. Excellent all round. I needed to phone twice to ask things and the phone was answered quickly both times. Would definitely use them again and recommend!
I sent in my iPad and my iPhone for water damage repair. The devices were sent back to me within a week. I was so glad to have received them in full working order. On top of that i got given an extra 10% Student discount which was an extra bonus. I've viewed some of the reviews people have left and i must say i have not had any problems or go through the trouble of calling in 60 times like some people say. They can't be scams because I've always been recommending my friends and family's and they have not had any problems at all.
I would highly recommend the services because the prices are reasonably fair and affordable than majority of repairers out there in the market, they are fast, reliable and i will definitely go back to them in the near future.
