I have 3 bad experiences...where parcels were not picked up for next day.
Also no effective response from emails.
Had to pay twice to get parcel eventually returned.
When asked for some compensation.........NO RESPONSE.
Just left on the doorstep when we were out, despite clear instructions to leave with neighbour
NOT YET FOUND A COURIER TO BEAT IPOSTPARCELSUK THERE DELIVERY AND COLLECTION SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE
BOOK YOUR PARCEL SIT BACK WHILE SOMEONE ELSE TAKES THE STRAIN, PICKED UP FROM YOUR HOME AND DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY TO WHERE YOU HAVE SENT, EASY-PEAZY NO HASSLE JUST GOOD QUALITY SERVICE, RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE.
USED MYHERMES WHAT A JOKE DIDN'T EVEN COLLECT MY PARCELS YES 2 OF THEM - REFUSED ANOTHER CUSTOMER HI-RATED; I ALWAYS USE IPOSTPARCELSUK THE PROFESSIONALS THE COURIER YOU CAN TRUST
After having four parcels smashed to Smithereens by MyHermes in one week, I changed to ipostparcels and haven't looked back. Most of my parcels are china and whilst I know that no carrier will insure china against breakages I am prepared to take the chance with Parcel Pete. He hasn't let me down yet.
not much more to say that above. from a parcel service you want fast delivery and a driver that smiles, says hello, hands over the parcel in good condition and goes on his merry way.
I was not the buyer of the service so cannot rate the price, but as the receiver all was good.
Pricing is good, very good and service both in the UK and to Chile was fast, but as with many online services, when things go wrong, correcting it can be frustrating.
Customer support is only by email or Twitter, and that wasn't fast enough, or easy to communicate and resolve a problem
Driver was friendly and the service was great, arrived on the day specified and all contents in good condition.
I have used Parcel Pete for about 2 months now i always used royal mail then found they become pricey, then i thought i would head over to Parcel Pete to find there prices acceptable for next day delivery also with free insurance on items under £25 worth of value.
I have shipped 6 parcels up to now with these and 1 was never collected from my home address when i called to ask where they was the next day they phoned me back to say it was routed to a wrong driver and he did not cover my area, they day they was supposed to collect they didn't call me to make me aware of the problem i gave up and sent it with parcel force who did collect it when they said they would.
Parcel Pete eventually apologised and refunded me in full for the inconvenience and gave me a voucher code to use in future which made things whole lot better for me and regained my trust in them 100%
I would defiantly use them again
Competitive and reliable - perfect service
Sent parcel Germany for a fraction of the price quoted by Royal Mail. Very happy - collected as promised and emailed me to confirm that the recipient signed for the parcel. All fully trackable online.
As a trader never use these cowboys to deliver parcels. The collection centre in Birmingham shuts when they feel like it, not when head office tell you they are open. They take your card and then all sit there continuing their conversation for 20 minutes until at least 6 other people turn up to make it worthwhile getting off their lazy backsides to go and fetch your parcel.
The most appalling experience as the end receiver .
Now to be honest I am not one for writing reviews but the service I have received from Parcel Pete is second to none and for that I felt that I need to get the word out.
Usually a pop down to the local Post Office with my parcels is usually a chore as the counter staff are usually the most sullen bunch you would ever care to meet and the costs for this grim service is nothing to write home about but with Parcel Pete it is different you get service from your door to their door at the best possible costs available. The staff omn the phone are helpful if needed and the web site easy to use. The local delivery guy and pick up guy that comes to us is just so helpful... and no he is not a PETE....
We packed the parcel and placed on the label and then simply waited for it to be picked up... How easy is that and on a rainy day like today no more trudging to the Post office to speak to the grim reapers they have for staff.
I had better close now as I have another parcel I need to get off and need Parcel Pete to pick it up tomorrow...
10 parcels were collected together and around 5 didn't make it to their destination. Requiring me to pay out of my own pocket. The items were clearly marked as "in transit" when I checked onine, coincidentally after I contacted them the missing parcels status was change to "awaiting collection". I sent at least 3 emails to every single department and never received a reply.
Ok, I wanted to send a French Horn to the USA and looked at quotes, Ipost were £70 cheaper than anyone else online, what's more is they delivered from the Uk to the US-west coast in just 5 days... Absolutely Brilliant......However, I have had drivers walking away from my front door because they could not read one word of English- the note advising to call around the back... Another parcel to be delivered within the UK- huge plaque on the door advising to go around the side to the workshop- they just left it on the doorstep in the rain with No signature- a £700 saxophone. Yet again, all because the driver could not read one word of English.
This has occurred many times and even though they are cheaper- I would sooner stomach the loss and use another service. This is such a shame because they have the ability to improve- but never listen., my other annoyance is no phone number to contact them- and e-mails are answered the next day or so....Sorry but this is just not good enough. If they want my business-probably a few thousand per annum, then they best sort their act out, otherwise it is Goodbye but no thank you.
(My late Father was Hungarian and came over here in 1945, but he learned the language and took citizenship- I cannot speak any Hungarian, just making a point that in no way whatsoever is this review meant to be racist or anything like that, even my hubby is half Irish and half Polish.)
