Purchased a 2014 Mazda 3. Salesman not pushy. Allowed plenty of time to test drive. Willing to negotiate on price. Transaction straight forward. Use the garage regularly for servicing and again, competitive on price and don't seem to push for uneccessary work. Laid back but still professional atmosphere.
They said they would have two bad chips repaired for me arriving from Aberdeen to pick my car up. When i arrived one had not been done so they promised that they would arrange to get it done in Aberdeen. When i didn't hear from them i phoned and they offered a can of touch up paint. I had read bad things about Adam Price they are true.
I was searching for a replacement for my very reliable Mazda 6 Sport petrol but wanted a very good diesel with low mileage which fitted my budget. After some searching Jennings (Middlesborough) came up trumps with a Mazda 6 Takuya 2.2d in a fantastic velocity red.
We saw the car in its 'raw' state and it did have quite a few scuffs and chips around the bodywork but only 28k on the clock. Our sales guy Craig, was very good and agreed to do all the bodywork as well as a few other items, full valet & service and full Mazda aftercare for a year. Craig even took the initiative to rebook the car into the bodyshop as one repair was not up.to the standard both he and us expected.
I now have what I see as my brand new ''used car" which is great! Zoom ! Zoom !
Very professional, time taken to explain fully, used the right style to match our maturity. A clear message that "Jennings" cares about customers. We start our relationship with "Jennings" on a confident note.
Purchased my previous car a Seat Ibiza from Jennings and read good reviews of the new Leon so popped in and saw the car in the showroom. It was a 5 door but had a test drive in a 3 door and fell in love - as you do. I was able to get the car I wanted and the finance I wanted and the car was on the road within 1 week. Excellent.
Once car had been ordered no contact from garage on updates for car delivery or courtesy call. When car collected most of the paperwork was incorrect including seven day insurance cover and payments agreement still awaiting outcome for that. Had an issue with payment of cheque we were to receive, had to request and had to be posted out. Overall felt once we had signed an agreement to purchase the vehicle what follows was not good customer service, appalling. We also had to complete the transaction in an evening visit when wanted to carry this out on a weekend but apparently not enough staff on a weekend, not our problem really the customer should be accommodated.
Good to deal with, Martin the salesman was very good. Originally we went to a Mazda dealer nearer to where we live and the salesman was appalling, so we decided to go to Jennings and the difference was unbelievable. Customer service was good and they delivered everything they said they would as agreed. If there was any minor criticism it would be that it feels that they have lots of offers etc to squeeze as much money out of you as possible which when you are paying a lot for the car grates a bit.
We were looked after by craig, he was helpful, and seemed honest and trustworthy, there was no pushy sales talk or trying to con us by lying about availability of cars (which we have experienced). Everything was dealt with professionally and competently even thd issue we had with our own trade in car. Great dealership and we would reccomend them to anyone looking for a new car, and of course you cant go far wrong with mazda quality.
The purchasing experience at Jennings was a pleasant one. No trouble was spared in looking at options & providing test drives until my wife & I were fully satisfied & confident to select the spec. on the Mazda CX-5 we decided to purchase. Yes -we had a short wait for the vehicle, but well worth it - we are very pleased with it. If Mazda can continue to reduce weight in future vehicles & further improve fuel economy we are likely to purchase another in a few years time.
Bought a Cx 5 from Jennings in August. Got a good deal on part exchange, had to wait a while for the car to be shipped / delivered but well worth the wait! Had done a lot of research before placing the order and compared a lot of similar cars. The CX5 came out on top very clearly Good service from the sales people who kept in touch throughout the ordering and delivery process.
The most courtious salesman you have at Jennings Mazda is Andrew Ditton. He was very polite to my wife and myself when I telephoned making enquires about the car, when we came to the showroom to see it and look around it also on the test drive. Because of him we bought it. He made arrangements for it to be serviced and valeted and they would ring us on Thursday or Friday when it was ready. Unfortunately for us (but not for him) he was going on paternity leave. On Friday lunchtime I got a rude phone call from someone called Adam asking why I hadn't been to pick the car up. I said I had been waiting for them telling me it's ready. He then replied it's been ready since Wednesday I thought you weren't coming for it. The way we were treated by your staff that afternoon made sure I will not be going to Jennings Mazda again. It was the same when my daughter took the spare key for the old car on Saturday after work, no one wanted to know. I hope Andrew gets the commission for this sale as the others aren't worth it. I've dealt with the Jennings Ford dealership in the past and have nothing but praise for David Singh so was hoping for similar service this time. Unfortunately not.
Only 1 serious complaint as the service generally was fine and the car is superb in all respects bar one. It was delivered absolutely caked in muck which may / or may not have disguised the horrendous scratches it's now sporting - it's been keyed to death. I can't prove they were there on delivery but I had no opportunity to check.
A main dealer delivering an expensive car in this condition is not good enough. All the others lined up were immaculate and my suspicions mean that after buying 3 cars from Jennings, this one is the last. A salutory tale I'll be passing on of course.
