I was also sucked in to there 'VIP service' and purchased some nice wedges. When it came to them being delivered they had tried a few times but I was out at work. When I had ordered previously they had just left them with my neighbours. After a while I realised they had stopped trying to deliver my shoes so I emailed to ask where they were. There reply stated they had been sent back!!! I was furious! They said my credit would be reimbursed.. But I want my shoes!! I have sent numerous emails about this and they have NEVER bothered to reply!!
I signed up to just fab a while ago but after a few months cancelled my VIP membership as the shoes weren't really to my liking. The lady I spoke to said she had cancelled my monthly membership but I could still make ad hoc purchases. About 5 months later I was looking for a pair of biker boots and saw some I liked on just fab, so I bought them, making sure I wasn't signing up to a VIP membership again. However 1 month later I notice £35 has been taken by justfab from my bank account without my consent.
Now this is bad enough, but the customer service I received trying to sort out this issue was probably the worst I have ever received in my life. I initially emailed. Got a standard responses telling me about VIP membership which I replied to saying that didn't answer my question. No response. I called them and spoke to 3 different people before they told me to email. Emailed again. No response. Tried tweeting but they just told me to explain within 140 characters what the problem was. Tried live chatting and they told me to call.
After going round in circles for a couple of weeks I couldn't be bothered anymore and decided that I needed a handbag anyway so I would just buy it with the credit in my account. The bag lasted about 5 days before the lining split in the pocket (and all it contained was a mascara!!!).
I cancelled my account but was on the phone for about 15 minutes while the woman tried to sell me the benefits of my membership. Despite the fact that I told her all I wanted to do was close the account as I had had a bad experience. I was told that this would be passed on to management but I haven't heard anything since (that was about 3 weeks ago).
I'd say avoid at all costs unless you enjoy wasting money on crap. Its a con and the shoes and bags aren't even that great quality, so its just not worth it. The customer service is truly terrible, so much so that even if there was something on there I loved with my whole heart, I still wouldn't buy it!!
One you make your first purchase you automatically become a VIP member of the site. What they don't make clear is that if you do not remember to log into your account within the first 5 days of the month, you will be charged £35 from your bank account, which they call "member credit" so you can use it for a purchase later on. To me, that's stealing. When you charge people money without them making a purchase, that is stealing. It shouldn't be necessary for the costumer to log in to not he charged money. I'm sure this is against the law somehow, it's extremely sneaky and as a student I can't just afford to get charged £35. It's a lot of money. What if you aren't able to log in? If you're on vacation? Stay away from this website, that's all I can say.
The company allowed my daughter who was 17yrs old, a full time student (not in employment) set up an account with them. The only reason my daughter joined was to purchase a bag for my birthday as a surprise. It was only because I wanted to exchange it, we rang the company to ask if this was possible. Yes the staff were very pleasant and helpful, mentioning that because she was a VIP member, she could return and exchange the bag with no shipping costs. I wanted to know why my daughter was a VIP member and what this actually meant, we were then advised my daughter (without her knowledge or consent) had been upgraded to become a VIP member. This means she has to 'log in' to her account at some point in the first 5 days of the month, if she didn't want to make a purchase, she had to 'skip' a month. If she didn't skip the month approx. £35.00 would be deducted from her bank account. They word it as 'you will receive a JustFab credit of $39.95'. Which means you have given the company the money out of your bank account ready to make a purchase from them. I would love to know how much money this company make from not making it clear how they work. Surely this cannot be within our Trading Standards guidelines. How many people remember to 'skip'. a month (especially teenagers) and how frightening it is a company can deduct money from bank accounts. Not impressed
