We ordered 3 items (Maxi Cosi Pebble, Maxi Cosi FamilyFix base, Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Denim 107). All items showed as 'in stock' when we ordered. I got in touch a couple of days later via email to check on delivery progress and got a response that Bugaboo was on a 2-4 delivery. Fair enough - not much we could do about that. Would have been nice to see that when ordering, but nevermind.
3wks after ordering we'd still not heard anything, so I rang customer services. I got the update that it was delayed another 7-10d. Again, not much we could do so we waited patiently. I dropped an email back to Customer Services just to double check what the confidence was in the 7-10d delay (i.e. could it be even longer), as I was anxious as we're getting closer and closer to d-day, and now without time to order another from elsewhere. We're over a barrel.
Worryingly, I got an email response saying that the Bugaboo we'd ordered (and showed in stock) was discontinued - VERY late in the game to tell us this. I rang Cust Servs again to find out what was going on. I spoke to a lady called Karen who tried hard to resolve this for us - credit where it's due, she was helpful. She rang back later in the day to say she'd found a bugaboo afterall (despite it being 'discontinued'). BUT, the crux of the whole issue (and the reason why we were so delayed) is that the picture and description of the Bugaboo that I had bought & paid for on the Kiddisave website was NOT the item that was being sent. Karen explained that it seemed the website was incorrect and had the wrong price against the item. In short, the price was for the older Cameleon (that was discontinued), whereas the picture and description was for the later (more expensive, but out of stock). Karen assured me that the differences between the older model that we were being sent, and the later model that I'd based my purchase on was a small cosmetic change at the front wheels.
However when I finally received the order, I found to my immense disappointment that the changes are far more significant than that: the carry handle does not swivel, the handlebars are not ratcheted, the under-seat carry bag is smaller, the unit doesn't 'lock' when put up without carrycot attached, front wheels are different.
These are all significant differences, and ideally I'd like the model that I had been sold - that had been in the photos and description. However, we're now delayed to a point where I can't run the risk of waiting for a delivery. Baby will arrive before the Bugaboo does - and Kiddisave have said that it's significantly out of stock anyway.
We've been backed into a corner by time. Karen has offered a 10% refund, which we've accepted, but it's small consolation as we've spent the best part of £1000 on what turns out to be a mis-sold and outdated item.
Also, my loyalty points I accrued (978 of them) still haven't been validated - even after a month after ordering.
I won't be using, or recommending, Kiddisave I'm afraid. Karen, who I've dealt with has been great, but I feel she didn't really have much support to do anymore. My wife will be adding her thoughts to Mumsnet most likely.
I ordered 2 Graco Junior CarSeat Bases and a pack of 2 Fisher Price Car Sunshades. The website said in stock and allowed me to order for next working day delivery. I gave them 2 working days and then emailed them only to be told then bases had been 'Double Ordered' and now were no longer in stock. The shades advised shipped and I managed to negotiate these to be given free of charge due to the mix up while I waited for the bases to come back into stock. Waited again and no shades. Contacted Kiddisave again only to be told the shades were now out of stock also. What a bunch of cowboys! I ended up having to cancel my order. Not happy at all.
I was so impressed with the fact that my goods were delivered the next day, even some of my catalogues don't deliver that quick. The goods were well packaged. My only complaint is that the instructions weren't very good. They were placed right in the middle of the buggy and didn't cover all aspects of the buggy like how to take off the second seat and how to put on the rain cover (although it was quite easy to work out). The instructions aren't probably Kiddisave's issue, its the manufacturers! Overall though a very good service
Ordered a sapling Victoria pine cot bed and saved 20% speedy delivery but only one box was dispatched. Called they dispatched the 2nd box the next day as promised. was scared based on the reviews on here after ordered but nothing to worry about great savings to be made on top brands. Will buy from them again.
My online order was despatched with no tracking information. Four messages regarding tracking were ignored. (I assume the staff in Walsall have no access to online order details seeing as their stock room is in Cheshire.)
I received completely the wrong item - a seat for a pushchair I don't own.
Again, all emails totally ignored.
I spent an HOUR on hold to arrange a pick-up. When someone finally answered I was promised a refund as soon as the courier had collected the item the next day. Surprise surprise, no courier came - I waited in all day for no reason. Just what you need when you're about to give birth any day.
I have ordered the item I wanted elsewhere so I am £130 out of pocket and struggling to store the item they haven't collected. More to the point, dealing with this kind of stuff is the pits when you're preparing for a baby's arrival.
Seriously - avoid Kiddisave - they're simply trading on the good name of an unrelated company (Kiddicare) and their own Facebook page is absolutely littered with complaints stretching back months. I have now threatened Trading Standards and court action to try get my money back. I suggest others do the same.
This website offers next day delivery however on paying a considerable amount of money the product was not delivered and there was no communication from the seller as to why not. When I tried to contact them my emails to the contact us number were returned undeliverable and I spent 38 minutes trying to get through on the phone when I was again promised next day delivery after a change of colour option. Still nothing The item eventually arrived after contacting the company again however I had no response from when H I emailed twice to confirm it was out for delivery We were just expected to sit in and wait for it to arrive on either or two days Communicatiob is vital when distance selling!!!!!!!
I ordered my maclaren techno xt with matching footmuff yesterday morning, then I stumbled upon these reviews and was very worried. I emailed kiddisave early in the morning checking everything was in stock and that I would get next day delivery, I received a reply within ah hour of them opening confirming all was well. I emailed again this morning to check that everything has definitely been sent and again a prompt response even advising it would be delivered between 12:20-13:20. Arrived at 12:20 on the dot. Everything I ordered all perfect, still can't believe I got everything for the price I did and so quickly. I guess a lot of people only write reviews if they've had a bad experience and we don't hear enough of the good ones. Will definitely shop here again and recommend to family and friends. Brilliant, very happy customer :)
We have recently bought a cotbed and a mattress from this company. Because we already bought one set for our twins earlier from Mothercare, we wanted to get something as good quality and good value. So we ordered the same make that we have been happy about it. Unfortunately it came in different colour which does not match with the picture on their website. Sadly we ended up two cotbeds in different color for our twins. The first mattress we bought from Mothercare was fantastic we wanted something similar. The mattress in Kiddisave had the same description what we got but turned out to be much lower quality and has nothing to do with their descriptions that claim to be luxurious. Under the Distance Selling Regulations if the description and picture does not match with the product it is considered as faulty and shipping expense should be met by the company. When we wanted to return the product they come back asking a charge of £28. Reading all the other reviews I gave up thinking how dreadful would be trying to get a refund from them. I think they named their company similar to another big company like Kiddicare, on purpose in order to sound like they are a good company. Unfortunately they are opportunist and don't care about the customer satisfaction. But they should not forget that, no matter what they do unhappy customers will never return! I will never buy anything online again before reading their return policy. That policy actually says a lot about a company.
I typed champagne maclaren quest into google and google shop showed 4 or 5 images and links to buy it showing the price. I clicked on kiddisave because it showed £155 and the others were nearer £185. I hadn't heard of the site before so was slightly wary but saw that it was a proper website and so I quickly checked the product info and pressed buy. I registered as guest quickly then went through to paypal to make payment. It was £155 including free delivery (next day if ordered before 2pm). I ordered it Sunday night and it arrived at 11am on Tues morning. I'm super thrilled with the service and how quickly my nippy pushchair arrived. All good.
I ordered 2 items (a bugaboo footmuff and a bugaboo seat liner) on the 25th May, they were shown as in stock on the website, after about a week I contacted Kiddisave - they said they would be in stock in 2-4 weeks. After 4 weeks I emailed again and they told me they were expecting a delivery that week. Another week went by and another email which promised that I would see the items in a week! By then I had had enough and I emailed Kiddisave to ask to cancel the order (as it is almost impossible to get in contact with them on the phone - their website doesn't even seem to show a phone number now!) We got no response until my husband wrote a slightly less polite email, and were promised that the refund would be actioned that day (9th July) and would be back in our account within 3-5 working days. Excellent I thought, come today (6 working days later) still no money, I rang Kiddisave and actually managed to speak to someone. She told me that they refund had not been actioned yet (!) as they have just put in a new computer system but that it would be actioned today and be in my account at the latest by the beginning of next week.
I have absolutely no faith that I will ever see my £122.90 again unless my bank can do something, I will never order anything from Kiddisave again. We went somewhere else online to buy exactly the same items and they were delivered the next day.
DO NOT order from this company, the stress and hassle (and never seeing your money or order again) is not worth the discount they offer. I just cannot believe that big companies such as Cosatto and Bugaboo are happy that such an awful company sell their items.
I ordered the Maxi-Cosi Tobi car seat in Intense Red on the 25th June. I had looked around at a few retailers but noticed a discount of 10% at Kiddisave when you spend over £150. The car seat was £149.95 so I also bought a pack of Avent soothers at £3.95. After discount was applied my order came to £138.50 so I was pleased with that. I received email confirmation and the money was taken from my account the following day. It stated on the website that "Items shown 'In-Stock' delivery within 1-2 working days", both items were in stock so I was expecting to receive them by the end of the week. When it got to the following Tuesday and I still hadn't received them, I called Kiddisave to see what the problem was. Then the nightmare began - 15 minutes of "Welcome to Kiddisave, our opening hours are 9 o'clock to 4 o'clock Monday to Friday. We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls and will answer your call as soon as possible. If you do not wish to hold please email us using the contact form on our website and someone will get back to you as soon as possible, otherwise please continue to hold and we will answer your call as soon as possible." Then eventually someone picked up the phone...and promptly put it down again!! I called back and this time got to speak to Pat who, after putting me on hold for 10 mins while she went to look in the warehouse, told me that they had none in stock but that she could give me a black one. I explained that I didn't want a black one and asked when the red ones would be back in stock, she said to give it a few days as they have to wait and see what the manufacturer sends them!?! Very confused, I said surely you know what has been ordered and as it is still showing as 'In Stock' you will be getting some in soon? Pat told me that she would find out from the manufacturer if they had sent any and would call me back...I'm still waiting for that call. Since then, it seems calling Kiddisave has become part of my daily routine, I hear the 'Welcome to Kiddisave' spiel in my sleep. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been hung up on. One adviser took a note of my order number and my query, said "can you hold one moment please?" 17 minutes later she just cut me off. Eventually one man said he would refund the cost of the soothers as compensation for the terrible time I'd had of it and said he would send them out that day (they should have been sent out the week before but I wasn't going to argue). I have spoken to Dominic (who promised he would process a refund and email me as soon as it was done) and Karen (who promised the same as Dominic but that she would call my mobile instead of email), I have had no email or phonecalls. So we come to today (15th July) when I called up and got the pleasure of speaking to Pat again (don't even bother asking to speak to a manager, I don't think they actually employ any as none are ever available and I ask at least twice a day) who assures me that my refund was processed on the 11th. When I explained that nothing was showing on my bank account she sighed and said "It is on its way to you". So there we leave it for the moment. I have no car seat and no money and just have to wait. I have made my bank aware and they have told me that if I do not have the money by the end of the week, to get in touch with them and they will raise a dispute on my behalf. So I WILL get my money back...but I will NEVER deal with this 'company' again.
I ordered an Avent Steriliser bottle feeding essentials set last Friday and paid £49. It was delivered by Interlink on the wrong day as I requested it to be delivered today as no one would be in yesterday but still they delivered on Thursday although they confirmed delivery for Friday?
I then un wrap my goods which are a present for my daughter for her baby shower tomorrow and it is totally the wrong item?! You have sent me a breast feeding kit for £43? I do not require this item and I want the item I ordered?
I am really disappointed with as this is the first time I have used Kiddisave and have been really unhappy so far.
I then eventually get through to someone after trying continuously for over 2 hours to reach them by phone. I was told to pay to return my incorrect item as they didnt even have the correct item and they would refund the item and postage. I done this on the same day and they had the item back on Monday, since then I have only had the postage refunded and not the full amount of £49 for the wrong item. I have sent numerous emails and now cannot get through by phone and I am getting very frustrated and angry that they are not returning my money to me?! They had the item back for a week and still not refund. What sort of company is this??? They need a decent customer service department to deal with unhappy customers like myself. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!
Placed an order for a Quinny Xtra Black Travel System, website said it was in stock in the black colour I wanted.
- After placing an order, NO delivery information was given to me at all or when to expect delivery, after waiting 5 days and no news I tried numerous times to ring (which they do not even answer) and had to email a few times using the contact form and the direct email. - Eventually they replied and I was told it was not in stock and asked if I wanted item in Red, I returned email to say no and to get an update on if/when BLACK would be back in stock, again two days later still no answer so I called numerous times and emailed to get in touch. - Eventually spoke to a girl on the phone who informed me the Pram was in stock in the warehouse and the travel system in stock at the shop, so would get both sent out for Thursday so I would have the complete items that I ordered.. I waiting in all Thursday and low and behold, nothing came, it clearly wasn't sent out to me. - It then took a further 4 days to get a reply (after trying to call endlessly and no body picking up the phone) and arrange a refund. I'm still waiting on the refund...
Honestly I don't usually write reviews or rarely have reason to, but I'm trying to save somebody a headache and bad experience, just avoid and go to a reputable company such as kiddicare.
I ordered a Quinny zapp xtra from Kiddisave after payment I noticed that it was out of stock so I emailed them to be told it would be with me by the end of the week. After I come on this review site to see all the bad reviews and was thinking oh dear what have I done giving this company my money but just one day to later I am writing this and looking at my little girl sleeping in her new buggy.
So a big thank you to Kiddisave fast delivery and service :-)) !!!!!
I ordered a Phil & teds lobster that stated in stock and 3-5 days delivery time! 3wks later I email contact us to find where my item is....no reply. Call the number .....no answer.... Find a different number get through in a queue but then get get off after music finishes!! Contact via facebook nothing so sent another....find another number ring and get through to be told it's coming direct from manufacturer (in stock??) One am later I call again to be told it's been lost and no longer in stock (still being sold on their web site!) I ask for a refund.......STILL waiting just called AGAIN to be told the same as 4 days ago it was issued yesterday. We shall see! This company is beyond awful. There customer service (lack of) needs replacing with staff that actually answer phones, don't keep people holding for 30 mins then cut them off. Please don't use Kiddisave just look at all the other bad reviews.
I ordered a product from kiddisave (said it was in stock) 12 days ago. I have not heard anything since the order confirmation and money was taken from my account. After 8 days I emailed them and then again through their web contact form 10 days after the order. I have made another complaint today after calling them and being kept on hold for 30 minutes. No-one answered. As yet I have had no communication from them and have been unable to speak to anyone. I don't know where my order is or when to expect it. Overall very poor customer service and I shall be cancelling my order if I do not hear from them in the next 2 days.
We've been waiting one whole month for a Bugaboo pushchair from Kiddiesave, they have been stringing us along. A week back they said "stock was coming in" but still the product hasn't arrived, four weeks after the order date. Now I can't get through on the phone, I've called several times - the number has been either engaged or just rings and rings. The item is now showing as "in stock" on their website.
I'm slowly waking up to the fact that this is a scam.
Be aware, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Following their reply below, I have emailed the company at the address provided, as requested, with my order number. I have had no reply since, we are still trying to get our money back from this company.
Having visited Kiddisave at The Baby Show at the NEC last month, we decided to place an order as they were the cheapest for what we were looking for (Maxi Cosi pram set).
I had already ruled out a couple of other suppliers as they used Yodel as their deliver partner (THE worst courrier in this country!) so I was glad to see Kiddisave used Interlink Express for "the majority" of their deliveries (the website quantifying "majority" as either being Interlink Express or Royal Mail for smaller orders).
Imagine how annoyed I was then to find Kiddisave had shipped my order using Yodel. After receiving the shipping notification I called Yodel to ask they leave the parcel in a "safe place" as they have done on numerous deliveries to my property. The chap at Yodel who I spoke to assured me he'd messaged the driver with my instructions and that was that...until I received the dreaded "Sorry we missed you..." text from Yodel.
So on the phone to Yodel again, this time to be told they couldn't deliver to my "safe place" (nor a neighbour) as they needed a signature from the customer. When I asked why I wasn't told this the first time I called I got the usual fobbing off you get from call centre's when making a complaint.
As there was going to be nobody at home to take delivery I arranged to go and collect the parcel (a 30 mile round trip) from the depot in Manchester. On arriving at the depot I was first handed one parcel (when expecting three) then three more turned up...
On arriving home and inspecting the consignment, it was clear that Kiddisave had shipped two of the same items so I got in touch (as any honest person would) to let them know. I did take the opportunity to also complain about the courier farce and having to go out of my way to collect.
The person dealing with my complaint (Helen) started off very pleasant but as our emails went on she became more and more rude - she was almost shocked that we wouldn't wait in all day for a courier to collect the item and flatly refused to collect at the weekend (dropping in some random comment about her being ill or something which was completely irrelevant to me as a consumer buying from a retailer).
We finally settled on a weekday AM (note the AM here) collection and that should have been the end of it...
Instead I got an email from Interlink Express saying they would collect (on the day agreed) but it would be between 9-5. I emailed Kiddisave to tell them this wasn't acceptable and to arrange an AM collection as previously agreed but got no response so the courier arrived at 2PM at the time my wife was out walking the dogs (she'd waiting in as long as possible). I did make it clear to Kiddisave that we couldn't (and wouldn't) wait in all day to rectify their mistake.
I've not heard anything else from Kiddisave, and still have the item awaiting collection. I hope they are aware of the unsolicited goods regulations...
Everything I state here is backed up by emails between Kiddisave and myself.
It's a shame as they are very good on price, but I suspect they are a small outfit pretending to be much larger than they actually are and come across very unprofessional when things go wrong - I've since read lots of bad press about them on Mumsnet and other sites which would have put me off ordering from them had I read them first.
I have to say the items that I did order were exactly what we wanted so we are happy with that side of things, but it doesn't balance the poor experience I'm afraid.
Seems like they delivery only 40% of the orders, So you have 0.4 probability to get your order delivered. Don't get cheated with Low prices !! They don't answer telephone and emails. Even if they answer they keep telling you " we are expecting a delivery on tuseday or friday, As soon as your order is here we will send it on a next day delivery"
And then when the next time you contact you get another reply " We surely got the delivery but your order was not on this delivery we are expecting a delivery on tuseday or friday, As soon as your order is here we will send it on a next day delivery"
So that repeats forever until you get fed up with your life
