As many others have, I saw Kumbaso was the cheapest for an Xbox live 12 month subscription, so I jumped on it. Several emails due to not getting my product and received no response. Tried to email again and the email was returned to sender. Tried going to their site and google says it doesn't exist. It sure existed when it took my money! Now I have to contact my bank and report this.
- edit - I contacted my bank and what usually takes 4-5 days to investigate, took them not even 15 minutes, and they reimbursed me. I recommend anyone waiting to do the same before it's too late to do anything.
This company sucks, no response from them, left VM and numerous emails. No one ever answers the phone. As of today its been 4 days without a peep. Same as other reviews, 3 emails sent with promise for a code, this is for a xbox360 gold live.
I ordered it on November 24 and its is now December 4. I waited awhile to write this because I kept seeing reviews that said the download arrived later and that would be ok for the slight discount but Im not getting responses and its a week longer than they said the maximum amount of time it would be.
I was browsing the net on 16th November, and I had seen Kumbaso was on the Google ad. So I clicked on it and proceeded to order the Battlefield 4 PC code. After the order the first email said the item is not in stock BUT it clearly stated the item was in stock on their website. Then later I got the download file where the code was supposed to be BUT still in the code file it said 'Your activation code will be sent within 15 minutes if in stock, otherwise it will take up to 24-72 business hours to get it.
Therefore, if in the next email you don't see your code, that means you will get it a bit later. Thank you.'
It has been 2 weeks and still no email with the code.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS! They will take the payment and send you nothing.
I deeply regret buying from this worthless company as other retail giants have the BF4 code for the same price now!!

I ordered the Civ 5: Brave New World expansion and was billed on November 19, 2013. I did not receive the game for the "customary" 72 hours, and I have been in constant e-mail contact with them to this day. This email contact has been one-sided, however, because they never respond to me. I still have not received any kind of product that I have been charged for. Do not use them. They are never available to help you, and most purchases go without delivering the product. DO NOT USE!

I ordered a xbox360 live 12 months gold membership for $44.99. My order in their website also says grand total 44.99. They send me a invoice for 29.99 GBP and charged $48.62 on my credit card. I received no code. they send me some text file three times keep saying if you don't receive the code in 15 minutes you will receive it in 48 to 72 hours. I send message from their website three times with no reply. First of all they charged me more than I agreed upon, then no code for two days, no communication either. I filed a dispute with my credit card and got my money back. Never again I will order from then. Hope you are reading this before ordering
It's been 192 business hours (13 regular days) since I placed an order for a BF4 key for $44. Its been five more business days than their automated text file said it would take and I have yet to receive any messages from them. I've tried numerous methods of contact and nobody seems to care enough to reply. The return has been pending since the 14th of November. Been trying to be nice about it and give them time to reply but it seems like the only way to get any response from them is going to be by filing a dispute claim with my credit card.
If you're thinking of purchasing anything from them I'd strongly advise you against it. Prior to the purchase, nowhere on their site did it say you'd have to wait up to 72 hours (it's been 192 business hours for me and still no cdkey or return). They don't reply to your emails or your messages and never seem to be online to chat with. Definitely not worth the hassle of wondering when you're going to get what you paid for.
I ordered battlefield 4 at a bargain price £29.99 on November 20th . I read a few reviews before and even more after I ordered the game. I got the instructions and the .txt readfile saying they'll will send the key later. Everyday since then I have checked their website if they were online and my emails. I sent one email saying I'll ask for a refund if it doesn't arrive after their estimated time 1-3 days. Still no replies. It would save me the worrying to just buy my game for the actual price.
If Kumbaso.com is reading this: can you hire someone to reply to the emails at least? I'd be less worried if there was someone I could communicate with.

Ordered a key for BF4 on a Friday night. Got an email with a link to a text file that told me to wait for another email with my key. Second email comes, tells me to wait 24-72 business hours. I wait.. and wait.. and wait.. no key. No reply to emails. It's been a week since I ordered and nothing. Disputing charge with credit card company for a refund. Save yourself the hassle and buy somewhere else, this company will NOT deliver.
Don't use this site! I ordered FIFA 14 from them, and all i got was an email saying it would arrive in 48-72 hours. It has been over two weeks and i still have no download code, they wont even reply to me! Don't use this website, complete scammers
I bought Battlefield 4 five days ago and I still haven't received a download code. This site informs you that you can expect download codes for digital downloads via Steam/Origin about 24-72 business hours AFTER putting money down for the product. This is the only online store I've shopped from that delays a digital download code for this period of time and it's done for no clear justifiable reason. The kicker is that on Kumbaso.com, my order status shows my order is complete and lets me "download files"... which turns out to be a .txt file stating that I'll get a product code in the e-mail. I did get an e-mail back from them earlier in the week which turned out to be nothing more than ANOTHER .txt file saying I'd receive ANOTHER e-mail with the product code. Numerous attempts to contact Kumbaso via e-mail about this issue have gone without response and if it persists any longer, I will be contacting my bank.
EDIT (27/11/2013): I have not received a code or a refund from Kumbaso.com with regards to my purchase and have alerted the Better Business Bureau. Their WHOIS Information (http://who.godaddy.com/whois.aspx?domain=kumbaso.com&prog_id=GoDaddy) is riddled with hidden information and proxies. This organization is not legitimate and all efforts to terminate their operation should be utilized.
Decided to buy a BF4 download code, googled it and cheapest price came back as Kumbaso.com.
When buying a download code I'm used to receiving it either straight away or at least within a couple of hours.
Panic set in when I got the email saying thanks for the money you'll get your code within 72 hours. To me it read a lot like "sucker".
Foolishly only then did I decide to read the company reviews, something I normally do before making a purchase from a new online company.
My heart fell, so many poor reviews all telling the same tale of the thank you 72hours email.
Most did say be patient, so all was not lost.
I emailed a few times, getting one line responses.
I was thinking this could get strung out for as long as Kumbaso wants. I paid by debit card, so was unsure if I would see either the game or money again.
However I got my game code along with the first expansion pack within 48hours, so all good.
I think the potential wait time should be explained up front on the website, so everyone can make an informed decision, rather than the shock of the email.
It's up to you if the wait is worth the saving you will make buying here.
Know you will get your game, after a short wait.
Would I buy here again?
Probably, now I know they are reliable and only if the cost saving was high enough to justify the wait time.
I bought a copy of Battlefield 4 from Kumbaso after they turned up with the lowest advertised price ($44.99 USD), only to receive a series of emails with .txt attachments saying my CD key may take 24-72 business hours. This was not stated ANYWHERE on their website, and I was definitely led to believe the CD key would be provided immediately as it has been with every other online retailer I have EVER dealt with. Not to mention this seems like a shady and insecure method.
Then, I look at my credit card activity only to find I was charged 29.99 GBP which, with exchange rates, came out to $48.38 plus my CC company charging a $1.45 foreign transaction fee! So, it came out to $49.83, which means I could have just gotten the game immediately from a reputable retailer for $49.99!
After attempting three times to contact the seller, once by their website and twice by firstname.lastname@example.org and hearing NO response at all, I have issued a dispute on the credit card payment. I just hope I get a swift refund and can help others avoid dealing with this shady business in the future.
I ordered BF3 and received in about 24 hours last year. I gave it a shot with BF4 and now I am still waiting for the product key after 4 days. If I cannot get the key I would rather get a refund and buy the game elsewhere. I have gotten no response from my emails. I would rather not have to get a refund through my bank.
I recommend buying your games elsewhere.

I placed an order for bf4 a week before I received my key. I got impatient, and demanded a refund after a week not getting it. Literally a minute later I get my key. I just don't know what to say lol. Thanks though. Totally legit, just be patient even though I got impatient which got me my key.
I like just about everyone else here was ripped off. I wish I had seen this site before hand. Ordered an xbl 12 month and was sent a link in an email. Downloaded the txt file that said I would receive another email with my code but received nothing after 2 weeks. People need to get this site shut down ASAP before it claims another victim.
On November 9th, 2013 I paid for a Total War: Rome 2 game activation key from Kumbaso.com. I received the activation Email but instead of the key I got a download that said thank you. I few minutes later I received a second Email with a confirmation of purchase and a download file that stated I would receive my game key within 15 minutes but if it was not in stock I would get the key within, "24 to 72 business hours". This was not stated on the website.
After sending numerous emails, with no response, I received my game on November 17th. The game works fine.
The eight day wait is worth a 30% discount. This would have been a 5 star rating if I'd gotten some communication from the seller.
Purchased a game over a month ago and the code arrived in a few hours. Feeling as many here that this website was the goods, I purchased another and can now confirm the views of the majority here who feel scammed. No response to my many emails and just that feeling that some guy is sitting back having a good laugh at taking us for a ride! I have my doubts the positive reviews are all legitimate (some probably are - can't believe this guy is responsive via email as some claim), but I'm convinced all the negative reviews are - kumbaso is a risk not worth taking!
Interesting that the guy below bought the same game days ago and managed to get his yet I'm still waiting, definitely a scam or exceedingly bad management.
Ordered a cd key on 10th November. Got email instructions with how to download game. Clicked link in email but no download, just a thank you text file with note saying game file will be emailed up to 72 hours. Thursday arrives and still nothing so emailed kumbaso support to ask them if I don't receive cd key by end of the day then I will ask for refund. 2 days later so I ask for refund within 5 working days. If I don't hear anything I will get my refund via visa.
Update: After a week of nothing I have received the code.
Deceptive offer promised a box code to unlock game on Steam. Instead of receiving code upon purchase, received multiple (automated) emails over course of several days promising code would be sent later. After several days, contacted vendor to cancel order, vendor then responded (in person), providing game as a Steam gift instead. At that point (about a week after initial purchase), I had no longer a need for a code or the game, so requested order still be cancelled and amount refunded. Radio silence since. Will need to go through hassle and file fraud report with credit card processor to force a charge back.
Not worth it. Stay away from kumbaso.com.
ordered a 12 month xbox live code from kumbaso before reading these reviews. immediately became worried but after a few emails to kumbaso support, i got my xbox live code and it works no problems.
the service may be a bit slow but the prices are low and i did get what i paid for so no complaints here.
Grabbed the Civ V: Brave New World DLC, started reading some reviews AFTER having bought it, and freaked out. I just followed the instructions sent to me via e-mail, and the guys there even replied to my e-mails I sent back. Took ~30 mins total from start to finish and I got my DLC via e-mail. Very happy, would recommend.
I must admit it all seemed to good to be true. I found an xbox live 12 months code for £7 cheaper than retail...surely there must be a catch?? Well I read the reviews and must admit I panicked BIG TIME...but after about 48 hours and a couple of messages I received it. My only criticism is the ability to contact someone is not available...otherwise great service.
I would shop here again!!! BE PATIENT and you'll get your goods.
I bought this key for Sim City 2013 today and received the as i now know famous notepad message to open, saying thank you and nothing esle.
Then i download how to change language from Russian to English should you ever receive the code for this game and another saying if you don't see a code for the game then it will be sent to you later, yet again!.
What really pisses me off is this is all that is on the webpage for me product...
No DVDs/CDs are required
No Download Restrictions: You can re-download the game anytime and on any PC
No Territory Limitations: You can use our CD Keys in every country
Enjoy your game to it's full extent as if you had bought it on DVD-Rom
You save shipping cost and delivery time
NO MENTION of this key waiting time or that it would be a wait to get what i ordered, how the hell can you take money for something you don't even own? and false advertise on the page, as if its a simple buy and its yours, when its not!.
I've emailed twice today and have said if i don't receive money back or code by end of business tomorrow i will be pursuing claim back with capital one fraud, don't advertise for something that you do no have possession at time of taking monies from people! and tell people that there is a wait on the Sim City page.
Never again will i fall for this rubbish.
Will update in future...
payed for a game code for the new BF4 at a very good price! got the code in 1h.30mins... after some Emails to the boss.
I did shat my self when i looked at this site after you lot was saying that u got ripped off but after some emails i got the code so im happy in the end.
SO YES YOU DO GET YOUR CODES BUT THEY TAKE A BIT OF TIME!
Ordered on the 13th October and still waiting for Xbox live gold 12 mth code. I've tried numerous messages but NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. My 12 yo is devastated as it is his money that was used to make the purchase. I've requested refund but surprise no response to that either. Stay away from this dodgy company as they will rip you off.

Ordered Xbox Live Gold 12 Month membership on 10-11-2013, received an automatic email that code would arrive within 72 hours. Two weeks and four emails to them later I still have heard nothing. Same problem as everyone else has had with this horrible company. Wish I had come here first to read these reviews, lesson learned the hard way. STAY AWAY FROM KUMBASO.COM!!!!!
i purchased a game from this site a few weeks ago. i was then given a list of instructions to download software for it from elsewhere, which seemed strange. one of the things i had to download didn't work. the customer service emails were helpful, to a point, but after a few emails i was told there's something wrong with my computer, following which they refused to respond any further. i never received the CD they were promising, and i never received a refund. reading the reviews here, i'm clearly not the only one. DO NOT TOUCH THIS SITE WITH A 10 FOOT POLE
edit: within an hour of posting this review i was contacted to advise me how to obtain a refund. i don't like that i had to start bad-mouthing them to get some action, but at least they were legitimate enough to refund me

On Saturday 12th October I paid for an Xbox Live 12 month subscription. I had an email telling me I may have to wait for up to 72 hours. Not impressed as if the product had not been in stock and not instantly ready to be sent by email, I'd have used another site.
As it happens, this has proved to be the least of my problems. I am still waiting for the code. I have sent 4 emails to these jokers and the only reason I had a response was due to the fact, in my fourth email I sent them a facebook group page I had set up - stating facts. No response from the three emails prior.
I would say Kumbaso should not be trading, but that would suggest (by using the term trade) there has been an exchange of money / services or goods.
Up to this point, it just appears I have been ripped off. Paid money - no goods.
I found this site after looking around for xbox gold live membership options. this one seemed to offer the best deal for the value of money. i bought a membership back on the 13th, only to be sent two emails - thanking me for my purchase and then the next email i got was this - "If your code doesn't show up on this page, that means your code will be added later and you will get a new email with the code. Thank you.".
money was taken out from my account - so l checked to see if i had been msged back after l wrote to them asking if l could please have my membership code. I still havent heard anything. I'm not very happy considering l bought this a week ago and now my membership expires in a couple of days.

I ordered the game key for Bioshock Infinity. I received an email saying I would get a key within 15 minutes if in stock or within 72 hours if out of stock. After 72 hours I emailed to ask what was happening. No reply. I accessed their web site to find that my order has been marked as "completed" when al I have received is the text file described above.
Now a full week after I placed the order and still nothing. Should I report them to the Police for fraud?

I purchased The Sims 3 on 10/5/13 - no response to my email about the code. After getting frustrated without anything, I went ahead and purchased direct through EA - I immediately put in a refund on 10/6, still no response or refund. I have contacted my credit card company and am working on a formal disputed charge with them to get my money back.
Extremely unhappy customer. You are better off paying the extra money direct through the games creator/producers -

I ordered Anno 2070 on the 6th of October and was told I would get my key within 72 hours if it wasn't in the next email. I messaged and posted on their facebook page with no reply to either. I am very disappointed with this service but still awaiting my game key.
Edit: A couple of minutes after I posted this review my key came through. I guess they only do something about it once you complain in public!
