Terrible quality product delivered and poor customer service under chirpy veneer
We ordered a stacking day bed from Loaf. It arrived, but was very poor quality with several cracks It was the last in stock of a discontinued item. They offered a discount off the replacement (similar, but different wood, different origin country), but since we'd placed the order this had inexplicably gone up £145 in price, which meant we would have to pay £70 extra for the inconvenience. I pointed the price rise out to the customer service rep but she told me it had always been that price (basically insinuating I was lying), and was more expensive because it was higher quality. This surprised me because before placing the original order I'd rung up and queried the difference between the two - no difference, apparently, just the colour of the wood. Not impressed. They have a great website and very friendly staff but scratch the surface and you get nicely designed but poorly manufactured and massively overpriced mass produced junk, and customer service which isn't as good as it makes itself out to be.
It is very surprising to me that this company gets about a third more reviews on this site than John Lewis....
