Not surprised to hear M&S share down today, I've thought for a long time the quality is no longer in the majority of products, not clothes or food
I think their clothes line lacks the quality of old. I do wish they would sell jogging bottoms with a pocket (preferably zipped)
Excellent site, I would buy from there more often if I didn't have to pay for delivery.
I ordered flowers to be delivered for an important family occasion. They did not turn up on the day and M&S simply provided the courier's number for me to call. I spent over an hour on the phone to the courier, mostly at a premium phone rate, but the flowers were never traced. I chose M&S because I thought I could rely on them. I could not. It was extremely upsetting that the flowers I thought I had sent were never delivered. M&S refunded me and gave me a £5 voucher but this did not begin to compensate for the distress caused.
no one can compare when it comes to quality at the top customer satisfaction at the ready always
Product quality especially mens clothing is now poor compared to previous years.Socks and underwear in particular quicky lose their shape and become baggy
The company have gone down market and traded quality for profit
I purchased a few products in their stores and it's always been a top-notch experience.
The service is just right for us, the products are the ones we need, and the value is very good.
need to widen the aisles so theres room for all of us and the thousands of rich widows crowding the stores
usually shop online with M&S as nearest branch over 20 miles away. Service prompt and clothing good value
Have purchased a few item's from the M&S site found them to be very reliable and very speedy and would use them anytime .
Good range of products but as I live in Europe the postage and packing is pricey if I only order one item
I cant fault Marks & Spencer, shopped there for years & always been satisfied with the quality of items i have bought, Yes they can be a bit dearer sometimes than other stores but you get what you pay for.
In the past M&S used to be a safe, ever so slightly dull, seller of quality garments, and goods, which were still going strong even when you'd become tired of them. Now..... When they're good they're still excellent, but when they're bad.... Their quality control is all over the place, the sizing of garments erratic - sometimes they fit, sometimes they don't, one size 12 is completely different to another size 12, one long pair of trousers will be just that - long - and another - in a different style - will be nowhere near as long and flap above your husband's ankles. Will the quality be good as all M&S clothes used to be in the past, or will the material be ridiculously thin? Will the garments actually be in stock as it says on the web site, or will you receive an email the next day to say it isn't. Buying clothes online should never be a hit-or-miss affair but it has become so with M&S, so come on, M&S, get your act together!
You cannot beat M & S for the quality of food, it is fantastic, you only get what you pay for and it is worth it.
M and S food is just so delicious. The varieties are exceptionel. Just a shame it is quite costly.
I have bought quite a few items of clothing from M & S. Found them to be good quality at a reasonable price. Fit well too. First class posting service.
M&S used to be the doyen of the High Street. It used to be the place where you could get high quality food at an above average price....have you seen the meat lately....much of it has gone brown through poor storage even though it is well within its sell buy date! You wouldn't feed it to your dog!
The standard of the packaged food continues to fall....it is becoming difficult to shop there!
A last point the black uniforms and the cleanliness of some of the staff is just not on! Food should never be managed by staff in black clothing!
top quality goods at reasonable prices
may be a little more than in some stores but the quality is always much better
helpful and friendly service
excellent returns policy
Bought a cake for my daughters birthday and it was AMAZING! It looked so good and everyone was very impressed. Tasted delicious and lasted for ages. Would definitely recomend to others.
Well I work for M&S they are a fab company and really look after you. Love the food which I am a really big fan off:-) Great store which has got everything you need tiny bit pricy, however if you want to go to Aldi then be my guest..
Over the years I have ordered a number of times from M & S, but had never dealt with their Customer Services dept before. I had delivered a dining room table, chairs and sideboard all from the same collection to "match". Well the table and chairs arrived, with damage to 2 of the chairs (legs dented in 3 seperate places). The sideboard at best, had the same pattern, but differed in colour significantly. After weeks of dealing with them, they finally offered a discount on the chairs. However, as I had signed for the unit they were not prepared to do anything more. They will loose a lot of business from me over the coming years, thats for sure.
I purchase quite a lot of things from M&S on line.
No problems with delivery or returns, and items are reasonably priced, shame they don't do the 99% british made they did years ago, but I reccomend them for Christmas items, for family and friends, and underware, especially bra's. very reasonably priced and they wash and ware well.
I will be purchasing on line again soon, it works for me.
This is not a trendy shop for teenagers - it is a shop for housewives and clerks! So say Lord Marks. Let us not forget that there are some very fashionable housewives and clerks and it is about time that this disintegrating company went back to its original philosophie
Online system is excellent and also so is shopping inside the store. We have been guided though several appliances by very helpful staff and ended up buying a good deal with them. Long may it continue.

Good quality clothes even though now they are made cheaply they are sold quite cheaply too! I do prefer goods which are ethically made you cannot always afford to do this. Food is expensive but really great. Love their toiletries too.

The policy of the company towards its customers is and still remains legendry. Their products outside the foodhalls are however mainly from China and that part of the world. Not even my pants are now made in the UK. For a flagship British company this is very dissappointing
Visited the coffee shop there was young lady who was fab and seemed to be doing everything. Meanwhile there were 2 girls who were supposed to be clearing tables who were too busy talking about their social life. Wish I could remember the name of the great member of staff though she deserved a medal!
