After upgrading with Phones4U, the sales person advised a recycling comparison site for old phones. The result to give most money for my Galaxy SII was Money4yourphone.com and after some research online, I opted for them. Checkout was extremely easy and in 5 minutes the order was complete.
I had ordered a bag to send the phone in but it took 5 or 6 days to arrive, before which I'd requested another (which also turned up in about the same amount of time). Whether this is down to M4YP or the Royal Mail, I don't know. Be sure to send your phone as special delivery as this covers you up to £500. Signed for mail I believe is only £50.
Emails for when my phone arrived with them and was tested are good, meaning you are kept in the loop. Payment does admittedly take a number of days after this (I had the money in my account in full, 2 days before the date they stated however) so if you're in a rush for the money, you may have to look elsewhere.
Given the amount they gave for my phone, and ignoring the envelope and delayed payment issues, I would definitely recommend these guys. They paid the most for my phone by a good 15 or 20% I'd say. Very happy.
Was a little nervous using these guys at first because I had not heard of them, but after seeing the great reviews on trustpilot, I gave them a try. I am very glad that I did, they are totally brilliant! Quoted way more generously than anyone else out there, honoured the quoted price within hours of receiving the item and payment into my bank promptly on the date they said. Just totally perfect service from a very well run organisation, really couldn't ask for any more. I'm now selling another old phone to these chaps! Many thanks guys!!
Money for your phone will give you a fair price for your mobile, much better than most of the more well known competitors. However, if you need cash quickly, they may not be for you as it can take 7 to 10 days to be paid out, but if you have been truthful about the condition, there will be no quibles about the value.
One of the easiest and smoothest transactions that I've done, they did exactly what they promised and kept me informed every step of the way, a pleasure to do business with them... and they gave me the best price on the web... would definitely recommend and will certainly use again. Thank you
I was looking all over the web to try and find the highest price a company would by my used phone and out of them all moneyforyourphone.com was the highest price. They sent me a free post bag I could send my phone in and within a week I received payment into my bank account. Over all I would give moneyforyourphone.com A**** and I would recommend this website to any one.
Initially I had sent my phone to cash 4 phones and got totally ripped off - I had my phone returned and decided to use this company.
What a difference, I received an email when the phone was received and another confirming the date of payment - absolutely fantastic service - I wish I had used this company in the first place !
Would recommend and most definitely use again - many thanks !
I would recommend this service if you are thinking of trading in your old phone having upgraded like I did. In fact, I got more for my phone than the cost to exit my current contract, so I ended up winning on the deal.
My daughter had sent off her phone to Money for Your Phone so I thought I would give it a go and was very pleased with the speedy service.
I obtained a good price for my mobile although I did find it a bit of a challenge working out whether sending my phone by post was freepost or not. The advice is to send any valuable phones by signed for delivery to give peace of mind should it be lost in transit, but in my case I decided to send it the cheapest way as my phone was not worth a lot of money. I then discovered I could have, at my own risk, sent it by freepost, but it was too late. Slightly confusing website instructions. Within a few days I received an email to say the phone had been received and had passed muster and the money was paid into my bank account promptly. Great service. Would use again.
I just sold my Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 with Money for your phone and I am very happy with the result. I was quoted £151 on the website, posted the phone, second day I received an email about the phone passing the tests and after 7 days I got paid £151 into my bank account.
Well done guys, that's how you do business!!!
I have sent them my blackberry phones, I had them refurbished recently and they look like new. I wanted to try these guys as the price was the highest. I paid for special delivery to send these phones to them as wasnt too sure on them and wanted to make sure them get them quickly. They tried to stich me up by reducing the price for each phone to nearly 3rd of the value. After trying to get them to offer the original price and sending loads of emails I in the end askled for the phones to be sent back. 3 weeks later I finally got them back and the protective screen covers I had on them have been removed by this company. Dont use them if you can help it.

I was looking at selling my mobile on Ebay but they were not selling for much so I decided to use this service instead. No problems at all, a very smooth transaction, and the money appeared in my bank account when they said it would. Excellent!
Money for your phone offered me the best price and after testing that's the price I got...not like IGadget who offered me £105 and then due to a slight scratch... they offered me £50...no thank you I will use Money for your phone. They are best company I have used and its very straight forward. I will be definitely using them again.
I compared several sites and Money For Your Phone offered me the best price. I knew I should get the quoted price as my screen had always been protected with a zagg screen protector. I received a timely email to state the phone had been checked and that I would receive the full amount. I was also advised that the money would be paid into my account in two weeks time. The money was pain in when they said it would be, I just do not understand why I had to wait two weeks, maybe it is standard practice with all these companies.
Quoted me a price online, refrained from answering any of my questions.
Meh, may as well, I thought.
Sent in my phone and they decide it was faulty (but wouldn't say what was wrong) and offered me SIXTY POUNDS LESS than the quote. Again, they didn't reply to any of my questions.
Took their money anyway, as it was going to be a massive hassle getting the phone returned to me.
This company is excellent, have used them before, always keep you informed, every step of the way, from receiving phone to testing it, when it's been tested and when you will receive payment, they always pay when they say they will or a little before.
I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend Money For Your Phone to everyone!
MFYP gave me the highest quote for my phone. I paid a little extra to make sure it got there quickly and I had good communication when the phone arrived. An hour later, another email to say it had been processed and date for when the money would be with me. It was actually a couple of days earlier, which was a bonus. Would recommend and use again.
This company offers more than most for your phone but avoid them at all costs! I used them because they offered £130 for my iPhone 4 (£30 more than anywhere else) but I received an email telling me that the price had been revised to £100 because of 'deep scratches on the screen' I'd used covers since the day I bought it and I sent it to them in pristine condition. By that point I'd already spent £8 sending it to them special delivery- as they advise!! Such a scam, stick to mazuma. They offer less but you don't have to pay for special delivery and you get the money much faster. I'm still waiting for the £100 from MFYP.
Sent them my Blackberry 3100 Curve with an estimate of £40.
They reduced the offer to £23 saying the screen was covered with scratches. I was sure this wasn't true, so I rejected the offer which they upgraded to £27 the next day. I rejected again and they returned the phone to me. I must be blind because I cannaot find any scratches, but I bought a new screen from Amazon for £1.99, just in case, and it took less than 5 minutes to fit. Certainly not enough to warrant almost halving the original offer!
Sent in my iPhone 4S as they seemed to offer a good price, and reviews were very good. Phone sent with box and charger. Received an email from their testing dept giving a 'revised valuation', as they said there were two deep scratches on the back. There were actually two very light cosmetic scratches on the back, virtually invisible, as the phone had been in a case for 95% of its life. The revised valuation was half the original one, and less than even a 'grade c' phone (which mine certainly was not) would get in CEX.
I asked for the phone to be returned, and to be fair it came back within 2 days, in exactly the same condition as I sent it. However, it was returned minus the box and charger! I called the company who said that all packaging and accessories were gotten rid of as soon as they received the phone - I said surely this was wrong, seeing as they had not formally completed the deal for the phone until they accepted the original valuation, or I accepted the counter-offer. I said I wanted everything back that I sent - they said the best they could do was 'maybe' find me another charger, and they might have an old box lying around. So I am awaiting this - and am without the means to charge my phone.
The whole experience has been very poor, and disappointing, particularly after the glowing reviews of the site.
Sent my apple iphone 4 to them for £130, they claimed there were "lots of scratches on the back" (not sure how as my phone always had a cover), so suddenly the offer price of £130 was reduced to £78! Not quite sure why a few scratches would reduce a phone's value by £54!! Unbelievable. They then had the cheek to expect me to pay £6 return postage in addition to the £7 postage I had to pay to send the phone. I would be very interested to know how many phones they actually pay the advertised price for.
Use at your peril.
I have since sent my iphone4 to Mazuma Mobile - they paid up fully the price advertised on the website of £100. No claims that there were scratches to the back of the phone that would justify a deduction in the price. I think that says it all.
