Rubbish website - doesnt allow specific order details which leads to wrong order and rubbish customer service to rectify

I wish I had read the reviews on this site before using this company. Three of the mats fit but the fourth, the drivers mat doesnt. I have round pegs and should have notice that the mat fits oval pegs. They only offer one version of the mat and expect you to notice in amongst all the words that their is a different peg. The site asks what colour, what material and what edging but doesn't ask what shape pegs. They obviously know their carpets and expect customers to be experts too.

Its my fault for ordering the wrong thing and not theirs for having a rubbish ordering system

Apparently they are going to change the website but too late to save me a wasted £40+

I asked them to send me a replacement drivers mat but they wanted to charge another £13. Hopeless

Stay well clear. Rubbish website. Rubbish customer service

You will see the product title ( in Large Bold Print ) details the Car Mats are for vehicles with OVAL Fitting Pegs. The information is contained in the first two lines of the page and the customer admits he did not read it... But he must off read it as how would he know he was ordering car mats for a Ford Fiesta.

It is also worth pointing out that the customer order a CUSTOMISED set of car mats ( the standard option is BLACK with BLACK TRIM) the selection the customer made was Carbon Grey with a Red/Black twist trim - As detailed on the product page - Towards the bottom on the left hand side Any other colour from Black is MADE TO ORDER and excluded from DSR and returns policies if Ordered In Error. Our Terms and Conditions go further to explain this.

The customer received the mats and the Drivers Mat does not fit the locators because the customer has a vehicle with ROUND fitting pegs. The customer contacted us and admits they have ordered incorrectly.

At this point we could have turned round and quoted our Terms and Conditions to the customer about Made to Order Customised Product and non returnable / non refundable etc.. But instead we advised the customer to return the mat set and if they paid the cost of Carriage ( £6.75) for us to send the correct mat he should of ordered we would exchange for him. The customer refused this and asked for us to make and send a Drivers mats ( once again customised to his colour options and spec) this option has a cost of £13.00

We have supplied exactly what was ordered, customer admits we have provided what was ordered but thinks that our company should be out of pocket for his error... If it was our error we would not even quibble about replacing.. Unfortunately there are some customers that just can not accept they are wrong and expect other people to bear the costs for there errors.. I am sorry but we are not one of those companies. We made an offer which was a non profit offer to enable the customer to rectify there error and they will not accept it.



Still waiting correct Boot Mat

Ordered car mats & a boot Mat for my 08 Zafira.
Mats arrived few days later - good quality and fit well. However the boot mat does not.
The left side is cut with a curve not flush to the line of the boot. I sent pictures via email, I have phoned and was told they sell hundreds with no other problems but cutters are cutter a replacment mat. This was 3weeks ago and yet to receive it.
I have phoned and no one answers. No one replys to emails.
I have tried the mat in my friends zafira and have the same problem.
I am now taking it further to trading standards.
It could of been dealt with so easily - Very possibly the wrong mat was just picked and sent out.
But with no customer service - All very disapointing
Please avoid and shop else where!

Terrible customer service! Stay clear

Two weeks ago I ordered car mats and a boot mat, 5 days later the mats for the car turn up but no boot mat and the mat for the drivers side doesn't fit! When I called them I spent 25 minutes on hold just to be told it would be a few more days for the boot mat and they would send a replacement mat out as they have two different versions even though only one is advertised on their site. If there was a delay on the boot mat why didn't they try and contact me?

I wait another 4 days, send 2 emails and hear nothing! Call them again, 20 minutes on hold and an extremely rude unhelpful man answers, they are having problems with the machine that cuts boot mats.... I'm advised it will be done in the next few days. I wait a further 4 days and send an email, no reply and no boot mat.

It's now been 2 weeks and I'm still yet to receive my boot mat, my replacement mat or any reply to my emails....

*edit* I spoke to the MD again and he told me since I left this bad review my order would be cancelled and I would receive nothing, I sent them an email after speaking with Trading Standards and like magic the replacement mat and boot mat arrive the next day.

The boot mat doesn't fit, wonderful! It's completely the wrong size/shape! I email them again, no reply, a phone call and I'm told they are looking in to it and I'll receive a phone call that afternoon, no phone call comes. Another email was sent and I left it a few more days over the bank holiday weekend but still no reply to my email so I call again, the MD tells me they have supplied over 1700 boot mats for my car so I must have given the wrong details as they have never had this happen before..... I picked the option 2001-2008 as my car was registered/built in 2006, my car is no different to any other of this year. Either they have the wrong pattern for my year of car or they sent the wrong mat, otherwise surely it would fit, wouldn't it?

After he told me about all of his happy customers and about this never happening before he informed me a refund had already been processed before the weekend and to "do as I please" with the incorrect boot mat.

Suprise suprise! One week on and no refund........

Unfortunately I'm left with no other choice but to contact trading standards, my bank and to spread the word about this horrific experience from a joke of a company.

I'll be the first to admit they offer a great price but the customer service and product isn't worth it! I ordered the Prestige mats which seem good quality but they aren't 1cm thick as advertised, they are average at best.

Please buy elsewhere, they are a terrible company to deal with! It's now over 3 weeks since I ordered and I'm still sorting problems out.

If you look at the below comments you will see a screen shot of my order from www.mrcarmats.com, I own a 2006 (56) Renault Laguna Hatchback, I chose the correct option and the only option available for my year/model of car.

Once again Colin from mrcarmats.com is full of rubbish, if you offer 2 different sets for a particular model/year then show it on your website!

I agree I said I was going away for the weekend, I also informed you I was back on Monday evening, so really there was no need to delay shipping the boot mat for 2 weeks.

Yes you did send me a different set of mats for the car which I thanked you for, I also told you you're more than welcome to the other set back and the incorrect boot mat.... if you want them back please contact me by phone to organise a pick up as I will not pay to ship them back when they were supplied incorrectly by you in the first place.

There are always 2 sides to every story. This person ordered a Set of Car Mats and a Boot mat from ourselves. Despite our website terms and conditions stating that we are a manufacturer of mats and make everything to order, Allow up to 7 days for delivery.

The customer contacted us to inform us they were going on holiday and required the mats urgently. (The boot mat takes longer to produce than the car mats) the car mats were being made that day and the customer was informed on the phone that the car mats would go out that same day and the boot mat to follow.

The customer received the car mats the day before departing for holiday and informed us the Drivers mat did not fit. From the details the customer provided us with we new exactly the reason why - there are 2 different models of the customers vehicle - We detailed the reason and informed the customer that they ordered the incorrect set. We only make and supply what is ordered and we know if ordered for the CORRECT vehicle out mats fit absolutely perfectly .....

Because the customer ordered incorrectly a made to order product we are not obliged to replace, refund or exchanged as the error is due to the customer. This customer has decided to totally omit all this from his review....

As a gesture, we said we would replace the mat set ( incidentally the customer has never returned the incorrectly ordered set)

We sent the other version of mat to the customer AFTER they returned from holiday ( hence the reason for the 3 week delay the customer states in his review) but the customer appears to have omitted this bit from his review as well.

The other version of car mat fitted absolutely perfectly - Surely this clarifies and informs the you and this customer that they ordered the wrong product - but still this customer does not set it that way.

They then complained that they still had not received the boot mat. The customer was informed that we believed, based on the wrong cars mats being ordered that they wrong boot mat was ordered also and insisted he wanted what he ordered and did not want a refund.

We made and supplied the boot EXACTLY as ordered and not to our surprise it did not fit - and why -- because the customer would not take the advise of the experts who have been supplying car mats for more than 15 years. Once again because the error was not ours. We do not need to replace, refund, exchange etc the mat. but once again this customer wrongly believes they are correct. To close the matter we decided once again as a gesture to refund the customer who incidentally still has all the products!

Could not ask for better

Ordered from this company, received my ordered within 2 days.. fitted perfectly. The quality of the Prestige mats was far better than those provide by Vauxhall

5 Star Service and Price

I just wanted to say what a great service! I ordered my mats at the weekend, so I'm guessing the order would not have been processed until Monday, and they arrived safely at my work address yesterday (Wednesday). The look great, fit perfectly, and are certainly excellent value for money with the boot mat included (much cheaper than Halfords!).
I'll definitely be recommending everyone

MrCarmats really poor service

Ordered a a boot mat on 10th November 2011. Still waiting for delivery on 23rd December 2011 despite 10 (ten) phone calls to the company. A different story every time and not one promise kept. I am starting to wonder seriously if this is a scam.

Update, it is now 16 January but still no boot mat. Colin at Mrcarmats promised me a refund and claims that it went through at one minute past ten on 4th January. Of course it has not arrived. Telephone call count now at 15.

Avoid this company all they do is take your money.

Refund finally received at the end of January, so not a scam but seriously bad service.
