These guys used to be called HDNL. They were woeful. You can read about how poor service was then. Instead of rectifying any aspect of a uniformly terrible company, the management just changed the company's name. That demonstrates the rat-like thinking of the company's management.
The only thing they deliver is wasted time. I've just spent a Saturday morning stuck indoors waiting for a redelivery of an order from USC that's failed to show up. This is the last in a number of failed deliveries from a number of different online stores that use this poor poor company. I live in an average street in London where no other couriers have any trouble delivering parcels. It's just this bunch of numpties.
I place orders from a company that use yodel. sometimes i get the parcel sometimes i get the card every time you go on yodel website the card number says oops a problem you cannot contact them without the card number this is very frusrating so now on day two of cards i have contacted the company who use them to tell them i am taking my custom elsewear. DO NOT USE YODEL
RUBBISH SERVICE,RUBBISH CUSTOMER SUPPORT,RUBBISH TRACKING!!!!!!!!!
THEY LOST OR STOLE MY VERY VALUABLE PARCEL! THEY SAY ITS BEEN DELIVERED BUT ACTUALLY NOT!!!!! I REQUESTED THE PROOF-MY SIGNATURE,THEY STOPPED ANSWERRING !!!!!! DONT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR, IT's ---10000000000 STARS. AUTHORITIES SHOULD INVESTIGATE WHAT THEY DO!!!
Yodel was supposed to be delivering my phone from Carphone Warehouse. After being told via txt of a delay with the delivery it wasn't the best start. I received a txt the next day with my tracking details and then just a few minutes later another txt with a different tracking number. I tried both on the Yodel tracking page and of course neither worked! Tried both contact numbers and as expected just an instruction to tell me to use the website...which doesn't work. Like previous reviews I too am wondering when or if it will arrive at all! Wish companies as big as Carphone Warehouse were not using Yodel as they are clearly a cheap option and judging by Carphone Warehouse Trust Pilot score this is effecting their customer service as well!
--- 02-05-13 Not sure why you have commented on my review? Clearly a member of staff at Yodel trying to change customer’s opinions. Would have been far more effective if the spelling and grammar wasn't so poor. ---
Ordered item on Thursday morning received it today. I received full email tracking throughout and it was delivered in perfect condition by a very polite and helpful driver. I couldn't be more impressed with the service as I was told when I ordered the item it would be with me in 3-5 days!! Top Marks to the Mitcham depot.
Worst courier EVER!!! I can't believe these big companies use them; I'm guessing because they're cheap.
Any company that tells me they use yodel will be shunned by me!
Very Angry indeed and looking at these reviews I'm clearly not the only one!
I PLACED MY ORDER OF 500 BOARD ENVELOPES AT 11.15 am, 24th APRIL, YODEL INFORMED ME THEY WOULD BE DELIVERED WITHIN THE NEXT 2 DAYS, I RECIEVED THEM 12.15 pm, 25th APRIL, NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL GREAT SERVICE
starting to feel harassed by arrow xl (or yodel as they are known as)that's the 9th email and text you have sent me now and had 3 phone calls and a voicemail after confirming i want it delivered tomorrow-.- as much as i like to be informed and texted, i don't need to be bombarded with the confirmation time that many times... recived my parcel on time, but really that was to be expected as you can hardly 'loose' a little tikes playhouse, the guy that delivered it was weird and tried to flirt with me, wouldnt recomend it to anyone unless you like your phone going off 24/7 with the same messages, and your email account going off too..also the parcel left the worchester hub at 1.31am.. CLEARLY that was rubbish as what delivery company delivers at that time LOL
Yodel was supposed to send my new phone from virgin media yesterday. They have lied on their tracker page and put "Rescheduled By Receiver" on their tracker page , I have not phoned yodel or anyone else asking for my parcel to be Rescheduled .
I have no idea when it will arrive or if at all
WAITED FOR A PARCEL FROM E-BAY MEMBER, PARCEL ENDED UP BEING LEFT AT MY MUMS ADDRESS 10MILES FROM MY HOUSE WITHOUT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE, OR PERMISSION FROM EITHER MYSELF OR MY MUM, TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE MY MUM WAS OUT AND THE PARCEL WAS LEFT ON THE DOORSTEP. I HAD TO MAKE A 20MILE ROUND TRIP TO COLLECT THIS PARCEL, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN DELIVERED TO ME PERSONALLY, NOT LEFT ON THE DOORSTEP AT MY MUMS, OBVIOUSLY THE DRIVER COULD NOT BE BOTHERED COMING THE EXTRA 10MILES OUT OF THE VILLAGE TO DELIVER TO THE ACTUAL ADDRESS, I'M AMAZED HE'S STILL IN A JOB - LAZY GOOD FOR NOTHING! NO WONDER THINGS GO MISSING WHEN COURIER DRIVERS DO THINGS LIKE THAT. I HAVE CONTACTED THE E-BAY MEMBER WHO SENT THE PARCEL TO INFORM HER OF WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND TO ADVISE HER NOT TO USE YODEL AGAIN IF SHE WANTS PARCELS TO ARRIVE AT THEIR DESTINATION. I WILL CERTAINLY NOT BE RECOMMENDING YODEL TO ANYONE! TOTALLY SHAMBOLIC!
They tried to deliver my parcel and I was out at work so they left a card - fine. The option was to re book on line with an alternative address if required. This I did and arranged for it to be left at my next door neigbors the following day. I received confirmation that this would happen. My neigbor stayed in all day - Did it arrive -NO!. They called again at my property whilst I was at work and prompty left another card which I found when I got home telling me I had missed their delivery. Try to ring them and you'll be out of luck because its impossible to speak to a human being cos there arent any. Furiuos to say the least!
Paid for next day delivery. Waited in, children looking out of window. At 5.00pm became increasingly concerned items would not arrive and watched in horror as tracking information stated "attempted delivery at 3.20pm - card left. Item returned to service centre". With all the information the company had it is unbelievable that no courier came to the house let alone telephoned me. Tomorrow will be a week since I placed and paid for my order and it still has not been received - will never, ever buy anything from anyone using this company again.
Every other delivery / courier service can deliver perfectly fine - except Yodel. Will never use again and will not by anything that with be delivered by Yodel - as I never get it, stayed in for 4.5hours on a Saturday, have 40 mile round trip to service centre, they never even make it to my door and then say I have to get in touch with sender to give a new address to deliver to. They must be cheap or companies wouldn't use them.
MyYodel have informed me that apparently, after 1 attempt, they have made 3 attempts to deliver and expect me to pick up my parcel over 50 miles away. They have rude customer support and have no regards at all for the fact that their drivers are sloppy.
Logged into track my order from Photobox. which hadn't been updated in 5 days. The status read, "We are sorry, but it appears your parcel has been delayed. Please find details below". I proceeded to chat with a Customer Service rep on live chat to check why my parcel is delayed the rep replied as follows and the conversation went as per the below
(Yodel Rep)Nicky : 1:08:22 PM Ok your parcel was received into our sort center and has had no further scan since this needs to be cased with the sender as they can contact the sort center directly for you.
Amanda: 1:19:16 PM but its your sort centre you are the couriers surely you can advise me why my order is just sitting in your warehouse??
Nicky: 1:19:55 PM It needs to be looked into and I can't contact them.
Amanda: 1:23:13 PM so your company has no idea why there is an order just left sitting there in the sort centre, can you please explain how that makes logical sense??
Amanda 1:24:55 PM not sure if you understand my point here.... your warehouse, you are the courier yet you cannot tell me why my order is left sitting there? this is extremely poor customer service!
Nicky: 1:27:56 PM It doesn't but from the contact center here our systems link up to the depots directly but not the sort centers so I can't get a message to them for them to do a search to locate your parcel your sender had direct contact with them so they can do this for you.
All in all to sum this up.... I have never had such unprofessional, amateur dealings with a courier company. I regularly shop online so have dealt with quite a few companies all which have been pretty straight forward, if there is an issue with the delivery of my order they can explain. If you are dealing with myYodel just hope that there are no issues and you should be ok!
A card was put through the door to advise "sorry I missed you" it says Please contact me no number to contact is on the card. visited website entered"Your reference" number - it is not known!!! absolutely crazy the automated phone system is likewise useless- no chance of having a conversation with some knowledgeable person. and I am still waiting for the parcel. They obviously didn't try next door neighbour either, which I would have thought was a normal second solution ...
I wonder what may happen tomorrow...
Yodel what a crap company give you a day to pick up a parcel and when you get there they have sent it back, the phone service is poor
the parcel that was delivered to my home yesterday was not even mine,i was in London with my granddaughter so could not check it,it was also left behind a plant pot when my neighbour is in and they will take parcels for me
the address was at least half a mile away from me and not even my name was on the label also the driver must have signed for it which is not right
it now shows that my parcel has been delivered and i have nothing!!!!!
i rang the address and the person whose parcel it was came and collected it from me
and as for the phone calls....dont even try to contact Yodel it is all atomated and you cannot explain your problem WHAT ABOUT PEOPLES JOBS no stars from me
I ordered something from Woolworth's yesterday for next day delivery. I went on line to track my order and came across these reviews so was very concerned. However the tracking system gave me up to date information and the item arrived, intact, to the right address at 3.15pm today. I think the service level is good and the price value for money as next day delivery cost me 3.00 GBP.
The only negative comment I can make is expecting someone to stay in from 7am to 9pm is a big ask. One rival courier company texts you prior to arrival and gives you the option to change delivery days and inform you of their estimated time of arrival within a timespan of 30 mins. I would have given this service a five had they utilized this system.
By making up the details on the deliver card. Either that or he just didn't bother to ring the bell. Either way, people were upset.
The product was 'signed for' but left behind a plant pot. My plants have not yet evolved to sign, and nor would I authorise them to do so.
If you want a proper service that does what it says on the tin. Look elsewhere.
The main issue is with Amazon using these people. Who sends a book out by recorded courier delivery and that delivery can only be the home address? To make it worse they only deliver during work hours which it may come as a shock is exactly the time I am not at home FFS!
I tried their automated frigging phone system, waste of time. To make it worse they offer ME to make a 40 mile round trip to pick it up from THEM when I am the one who has paid for postage!
You have sent this with a delivery company called Yodel. So far i have had 4 missed delivery cards and have been unable to speak to any human beings as their phone number is a very annoying automated system. I did manage to speak with one of the drivers as his mobile was left on the card asking if he could deliver to my work address. He said he could not as they can only deliver to the delivery address. I work Monday to Friday so not surprisingly I am not at home during the day. Why is a book being sent in this manner? Why have you not sent it by proper post ie Royal Mail, that way I could at least go to the postal collection office which is 5 minutes from my house. This Yodel firm collection office would involve a 40 mile round trip, considering I have paid for delivery, why should I spend petrol on this journey. I am extremely unhappy with the service and fully expect to get home tonight to a fifth missed delivert call.
I have looked at reviews on the net about Yodel and almost all are not complimentary about them. Suffice to say, if my order ends up being sent back to you by Yodel I expect an immediate refund. How hard is it to deliver a book seriously, you need to rethink who you send parcels with as I am sure I can only be one of many disgruntled and frustrated customers who will be loathe to buy anything from here again. I have been using Amazon for more than 10 years and this whole experience is likely to lead me to never use this again.
One seriously hacked off customer.
My supplier who used them has refunded the delivery charge, however I am still £80.oo out of pocket for the cab I had to send to collect the parcel from a “home delivery man in Caterham who had been wrongly given the parcel by the couriers to deliver to myself yesterday. My address was not in his delivery area so he was then going to return it today & then it would have been redelivered another day. No one could explain why the tracking system was telling me it was delivered at 19.00 yesterday. I could also not get any information from the courier company until 09.00 today when there office opened.
I needed this tool to complete work at a job near Heathrow airport which is why I paid the extra carriage for next day delivery.
I Paid for next day delivery (tues) from sports direct, My Yodel website is totally unacceptable, said that it was sent for delivery at 7:55am (i have since found out that their drivers dont actually start till 11am), so this was a pack of lies. Updated the site all day and got the same information, eventually after 9pm the site updated to say that my packaged was handed off to a driver at 19:50, who had a breakdown at 20:10. They made no attempt to deliver this package in the 50 mins they had (so im assuming the "breakdown" is simply code to suggest they couldnt be bothered). When i contacted them today (wed) i was told sorry, and after asking if i was priority as they had failed to deliver i was told "no, its just a normal spot till 9pm". Thanks a lot, a wasted day, and possibly another. Totally unacceptable
oh Yodel!!! I want to tear apart sumbags like you from top executive to last delivery guy who can't even speak basic english.
THIS COMPANY (YODEL) AND HNDL IS THE OTHER ONE, THEY DO DESERVE ONE THING TO GET WIPED OUT OF FACE OF EARTH.
I AM FEDUP WITH THESE SCUMS!!!
THEY MAKE ME F''''ING FURIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU CAN'T DESCRIBE THEM IN ANY SLIGHTEST POSITIVE MANNER AND THAT'S ALL. THEY ARE TOTAL SUCMBAGS
I have just had a refund from SportsDirect for the trainers I ordered on Sunday, 13th January . Apparently My Yodel were unable to deliver them and have returned them.
I had an email from SportsDirect from Tuesday, 15th Jan informing me that the trainers had been dispatched with a tracking number. On entering this, I could see that the parcel had arrived at the Truro depot (25 miles from me) and was due to be delivered that same day - great. My husband works from home so this wouldn't be a problem. However due to the parcel not arriving I checked the MyYodel website again only to see that the driver had apparently tried to deliver the parcel. No card had been left. I re-arranged delivery for Thursday, 17th Jan. That evening, still no parcel. I got back onto the website and clicked on the "CHAT" facility. Eventually, was able to message someone called Steve who wrote that due to the adverse weather conditions parcels were being severely delayed. Ok I accepted that. However, in this part of Cornwall we have had no snow at all and neither has Truro. Monday, still no parcel so I checked the website only to be informed that my postcode is wrong. I tried to call the 0800 number and there was no answer.
This is the second time that this company has let me down. I am writing to Argos and SportsDirect to let them know that they too are being let down by this company.
Ordered a tablet before Xmas as a present for my children and was told it would be delivered the following Wednesday. Checked online on the Weds morning to check it was still on schedule to discover that it had been delivered and signed for on the Monday. Phoned Very to report it as missing and actually found it 3 days later - the courier had signed for it in the name of SMITH and posted it through my kitchen windiw where it had fallen down behind the loose cupboards. Phoned Very as as yet have had no reply. On the other hand I was due a delivery today and got home to find a card in my post box saying that I had missed my delivery. Ref no wouldn't work on the website however I did have a personal number for the courier who I phoned and tried to re-arrange delivery for tomorrow. Was told that if it snows she may not be able to deliver but she could drop it of tonight if I wished. Very happy with this as its a dress for Saturday evening. A bit of a mixed experience all told.
Oh how I wish I had read these reviews before ordering Christmas presents from ISME and expecting them to arrive BEFORE Christmas, hell I only gave them a months notice!
Like every else here, Yodel failed to deliver on the dates they gave us, they then couldn't find my wife's shop.....in a high street precinct? They couldn't find them at the depot for me to collect either.
Guess what? Still waiting for my children's Christmas presents....good news is they have been reordered for delivery in February....you guessed it "by Yodel".
No customer service, reference numbers that don't work on the site, impossible to talk to someone on the phone, delivery men who are as thick as they get, consistenly lose parcels, etc. Yodel truly deserves to crash and burn, what a shambles.

I dont know why people are reviewing as My Yodel, as My Yodel and Yodel are the same company (its in the name!!) The service will always be the same as will the stories so why not review on Yodel soley it will increase the complaints
This company is horrendous, they take ages to deliver parcels even though they have them in their possession! No one answers the phones! Absolute disgrace, so much so i hope the recession bites them hard next and they go bust, we would all be better off without them!
Fu**ing USELESS!

My parcel was being delivered through my yodel from very.co.uk, I looked on my account to see where my order was and it said it had been delivered and signed for, but not to me!! I phoned very and they said the signature was a squiggle! 2 other parcels that were being delivered through my yodel, apparently they have tried delivering them but there was 'no access to property' when I was in all day on both days? And no calling cards left... Have tried phoning to rearrange delivery but can't get through... If u ask me I think the delivery drivers are signing for the parcels themselves and keeping them as I'm not the only person this has happened too!!! Won't order from anywhere using this courier again....

We had a card delivered, which said we missed the delivery, the card has no name on it and none of the tick boxes have been filled. I mean how hard is it to choose and tick a box for heavens sake.
On calling the number and entering said reference number which is not recognised, it is only 8 numbers long you end up in circles no person if you input wrong nothing. The system does not even send you to a human if you cant get it right.
Worryingly though, when i changed the last number i did manage to re book someone else's delivery.
This company is shockingly inept.

I recently made an order over amazon, sadly the order was directed through yodel for delivery. They are terrible they posted a card through my door as I was at work when they attempted the delivery, I then rang the number to reschedule the delivery. Unfortunately I could not speak to anyone it was a computer operated voice who directed me to the website to reschedule at no point did I get put through to an operator. I rescheduled twice waited in all day till 9pm as they can deliver upto this time it never arrived, I decided in the end to visit the depot which I managed to find online not via there website which does not even have a contact number. When I arrived at the depot, they told me the website did not work and so my rescheduling would never have happened as the are not informed by the site of changes and they had sent my parcel back even though it had not even been ten working days. They are absolutely usless and clearly not interested in customer service!!!

I'm waiting for a parcel which according to Yodel website was delivered on Friday, but then some how was back out for delivery on Saturday, but due to the severe weather conditions, was sent back to the depot. Maybe their vans and drivers don't work in such severe conditions like a breeze, because that's as bad as its been. Then they tried to deliver it on Sunday but couldn't gain access, again maybe couldn't walk up the drive. Yodel website says its been sent back to sender, but the customer service says, oh don't take any notice of that, it's still with us. Then apparently they tried to deliver it tonight at half five but couldn't gain access, do you think I'm supposed to leave the front door open for them, and that ringing the bell might be to much to ask for. I've now had a call from customer service who will find out tomorrow what's happening, because they can't ring the depot as they shut at 5.
This parcel got from Australia to UK quicker than its got from Billingham to Stanley.
Frustrating doesn't even come close to explaining how I feel. Considering Royal Mail and DHL have both delivered to me today.
No idea about customer service at all.

I order an item on Friday, delivery was supposed to be on Monday.
No delivery of the item was made.
Instead, someone at a different address signed a bogus name and received the parcel.
To date yodel has not dealt with the fact that my parcel has not been delivered.
This delivery company is a scam and should be exposed!
I can't even rate yodel as a service. They do not even deserve to be rated.

A parcel was never delivered to my house, neither a card posted through my door informing me that the parcel was delivered to my neighbour's house. The parcel was not even delivered to my neighbour's house as stated by Amazon, I don't know where it is. Yodel website does not even have a contact phone number. What a WASTE of Company and the service it provides. Amazon needs to stick with Royal Mail, who at least have depots where parcels can be collected from.

Had a message for boots (who i ordered my products from) to say i had missed my parcel.
Had a contact number for the courier which was a wrong number...
Tried tracking again online the next day to see where my parcel was and said is still at sorting... This was wrong as i came home to find another delivery attempt card through my door!!! There is no contact number to call yodel or the courier!! Such an awful service...

My parcel was out for delivery yesterday, saw a van parked outside my house but nobody knocked the door, so presumed that the delivery was for my neighbour. Kept tracking my parcel and said it was out for delivery, so waited, nothing came. At 9pm tracked on line again and saw that my parcel had been returned to depot as the were unable to gain access to my property, rubbish, it helps if the driver gets out of the van and open the gate, the postman manages it every day. I have tried ringing Yodel and its and automated service which requires te delivery number from the card the driver left, obviously the driver never left a card as he didn't make it out of the van. This is the second time that this has happened, just two different which I have ordered from. How do you contact someone who appears uncontactable, these goods are xms presents for my children, anyone have any ideas? HELP
