I ordered a card, some flowers and a balloon for my girlfriend's birthday from a well known on-line supplier of such things. It turns out that they use myyodel as their courier partner and as such I was required to rely on their services.
My girlfriend was out when the delivery arrived (she had an exam, it went well if you care to know that). I suspected this might be the case so I tracked the order on-line and saw that the status was 'delivered, left safe'.
There is no safe place to leave things outside her house so I assumed that the delivery had been left with a neighbour. I contacted myyodel through the live chat function on their website to find out which neighbour had taken the delivery. The chat service itself was faulty and failed to initiate at least a dozen times before I eventually got through to somebody. When I did I was informed, to my surprise, that the delivery had been left 'in the front porch'. There is no front porch. I made the lady on the other end of the chat service aware of this and she told me that since the delivery did not require a signature it was 'fine for it to be left'. She then said 'do you require more assistance', leaving me under no illusion that as far as she was concerned the matter was now concluded.
Clearly myyodel and I have differing opinions about the 'safety' of leaving a delivery unattended and in plain view outside of a property on a housing estate in the middle of Birmingham. Needless to say, neither the balloon nor the flowers were still there when I was able to arrange for somebody to go check for me later that day.
I paid for my order with a debit card so I don't expect to get my money back and to be honest I am going to put very little effort into trying. However, having read a number of the other negative reviews on this website, what I will be doing is contacting the on-line retailer that I placed my order with and recommending that they consider changing their courier partner. I feel that the loss of a major contract may be the only way myyodel will learn to improve their service. I recommend that anybody else who has experienced similarly unacceptable service does the same and perhaps through the power of collective action we can hit these jokers where it hurts - in the pocket.
I have just wasted yet another chunk of my precious time trying in vain to get some satisfaction from this company. I am trying to take delivery of good purchased online, estimated originally for Thursday 27th. On Wednesday I received a text saying my goods would be delivered within two working days...all good so far. That evening I returned from work to find a card in my mailbox saying I had missed your driver and he would deliiver my parcel again tomorrow. As I work full time and long hours and live in a block of flats with neighbours similarly out all day this is always difficult. So I took Thursday off, waited in ALL DAY and finally rang in dismay around 7pm. The telephone experience was incredibly frustrating with no option to speak to an advisor. Finally after letting the options run thier lengthy course I spoke to a woman who pointed out to me that my parcel was out for delivery and would be there by 9pm. So I cancelled my evening plans and waited in......no delivery. Friday came home to find another card saying I had missed your driver. So I went on your website to find there is no option to communicate with you other than a questionaire.......no website. So it would seem that unless I am prepared to stay at home from 8am to 9pm every day until you decide to deliver my goods it will not be possible to receive it. Even if I did have an alternative address I feel it is not reasonable to expect anybody to wait in the house for this timeframe. Surely a morning/afternoon/evening estimate is not too much to expect from any competent service. I have just spoken to a very pleasant and patient man named Liam ....finally after another exasperating process......who advised me there is nothing he can do as your systems are down. He states he is unable to log my complaint when the system comes back up and if I wish to speak to a complaints manager there is a four hour waiting list..... which would now be Monday and I am back at work until 6pm. So the situation remains impossible. I asked him to request my parcel be redelivered on Monday after 6pm but he said although customers can request a timeframe he was unable to do this for me. So in conclusion I think you run a very unsatisfactory service and cannot imagine why any seller would choose to use you. I will be communicating this to the seller of my goods if my parcel is not delivered on Monday after 6pm as requested.
Because I was out, I received a card (name spelt wrongly) suggesting I collect a parcel which was idiotically delivered to a property "across the road". On the Yodel site I typed the reference number and my postcode: "Postcode supplied is invalid" - this is the postcode the card was delivered to!
I have NO idea what this parcel is, or where it's from - or even if it's meant for me. I suggest Yodel advise its stupid drivers NOT to deliver parcels to any Tom, Dick or Harry, and attempt to deliver next working day.
PS firstname.lastname@example.org does NOT exist... 'undeliverable'
My nan ordered lamps from argos and unfortuantly yodel is delivering them! My nan said she hadnt recieved the item she ordered so i checked and it said they tried to deliver and left a card...there was no card...rang yodel and they said they will try again, she was in all day with mum and no delievery, according to delivery status they tried to deliver and left a card, there was no card! To leave a card my nan would have to let them in the building, so thats no possible! Hope yodel actually eventually delivers her the lamps she ordered as she needs them desparatly, she is elderly and partially sited too!
Apparently the parcel was meant to be delivered this week and a calling card was left..there was no calling card...
I arranged to have the parcel be delivered today, being a saturday but the website says it's still in the depot and i just can't get hold of anyone on the phone and keep getting rubbish automated messages. I keep a paying a premium number to tell me the delivery has been rescheduled. Vague to say the least specially considering the website says something completely different.
I have now wasted an entire saturday waiting for a parcel that hasn't been delivered.
To make it worse, its for a sick friend who's birthday is tomorrow. Now i get to disappoint them because of my yodel... not happy
This is my third review in two months about what is frankly an unbelievable company. My first parcel went back to the company I bought it from, Toppstiles, and they refunded me straight away and apologised. Still waiting on a reply from them about my current parcel from Ventee-Privee. I have now phoned 4 times, been told it has been delivered (but on the VP site it is showing at their delivery office), been told my reference number does not match, but then they find it and tell me that as they have tried to deliver it 3 times, I now have to drive from central London to Enfield to pick it up. They then change their mind and say it will be redelivered - and you can guess - still waiting.
I have had the lot from this company, delivery people that don't have working mobiles, cards not left, a package last year delivered to a completely wrong address and post code, people in their call centre who are just fed up with having to work there…
I am now giving up and contacting Ventee Privee to sort it out and give me a refund as they did for my missing parcel end of last year.
(On a separate note: does anyone wonder why the good reviews are all 5 stars, I mean 5 stars, and the theme seems to be they deliver the goods BEFORE they are due, which is a mean feat in itself.)
I was not advised of a delivery date so had no idea a delivery was scheduled so of course missed it. This was on a Saturday. A card was left but no address details of the service centre on it so no idea how far away it might be. Unable to make contact with a human being, I went on the website; only a drop down list available to input details of my secure place (none of which were suitable) I wanted to rearrange delivery for the following Saturday, but this option was not on the drop down list either. I therefore rearranged for the Monday and hoped the driver might have the sense to leave the parcel at my front door, being that my flat is at the end of a corridor in a secure building. Came home to find the delivery card stuck to the OUTSIDE of the building, announcing to all and sundry that I was out all day. I am now unable to get the website to work and have no idea how I'll ever manage to take delivery. Unbelievably, I received an unexpected (gift) parcel from another Yodel driver on the SAME DAY who DID leave the parcel at my front door, obviously satisfied that it WAS safe!Absolutely shocking service.
Absolutely awful delivery drivers and rude customer service. Tracking website never works. Was in the shower so the driver let him self into the flat, phoned to complain. The driver was given my contact details without my consent and he left a rude obnoxious voice mail to get over myself and that is his area so I need to deal with it. Absolutely disgusted.
Somehow failed to deliver my parcel despite me being in all day. Though oddly I did get a failed delivery flyer. Cannot fathom why but I can only assume the delivery driver didn't even try the door bell. Tried calling them and their only means of contact is a machine. Opted for collection, to be sure I received my parcel. Got all the confirmations and tracking stated the parcel was at the depot ready for me. Went in the next day. Guess what. It's not there. Left a number they could reach me on as they were going to look for it and get back to me next day. Surprise surprise no phone call. Tried calling them to find out what's going on... Oh yeah their customer services call centre is a machine. I went back in instead in person and after 15 minutes of searching they found it. I can only assume no one bothered to look until I went back in person! Really really wouldn't recommend.
Yodel is a complete joke just spent ages on the phone to there electronic device to be told several times it couldn't understand me. If they knew there was going to be delays and possible disruptions they should have stated that before ordering. I have been stuck in all day with my 1 year old not being able to go out to finish his birthday things and by the looks of it he will be getting nothing because I will have to stay in all day tomorrow waiting about again for a parcel. I have experienced problems with yodel before with them saying they tried to deliver and I wasn't home that is a lie. If I knew it was yodel delivering I would have never bothered ordering my items. To top it off the yodel site is no help at all it hasn't updated where my parcel is since 9:00am. Absolute Disgrace
Ordered an item from Argos who clearly use Yodel as their delivery company. The parcel was delivered on the day it was meant to be but was left with the estate agents that are at the bottom of our building and no card was left for us to tell us where the parcel actually was.
Useless..... Got a text message saying they were unable to deliver as there was no one at the address and that they had left a card. The Address is a working restaurant that i was eating in later that night so I know for a fact it was open when they "Tried" to deliver. Obviously no note was found as they hadnt even been to the address but i got a helpful text message with the number to call the driver...but the number given was to a disconnected phone line.
Its the usual SCAM of drivers running late so not even delivering.
Have been waiting for next day delivery from Amazon since Monday 7 Nov. Item didn't arrive - contacted Amazon who spoke to carrier promised delivery Tuesday, item never arived. Same procedure for Wednesday and Thursday still wailting some rubbish about truck breaking down! Please Amazon STOP using this company or I will have to stop using Amazon.
Received e mail from Kay's saying parcel was being delivered today. I tracked parcel which stated it was in transit out for delivery, at16.00 I checked my emails to find one stating that delivery had been attempted and a card left, There was NO delivery attempt or CALLING CARD left, then spend what seems ages going through their automated telephone service to arrange another delivery. Will be ringing kandco to make official complaint.
I paid for a next day delivery and still waiting for my parcel to arrive.
Meant to be delivered on Monday, I was at home and available, no one there and no card left .....
Tuesday, the same.....
Then no news, had to call the paid number to hear that my parcel would be delivered to the work address i provided on Wednesday today and still nothing.
I call the Customer Care again and he told me that I would have to come and collect at them Middleton Service centre but cant find address as when i go to the tracking page it states : RETURNED TO THE SENDER and same when I call, the automated voice hang-up and ask me to call the supplier !!!!!!
I’m going home abroad tomorrow morning without my dad Christmas gift and feel so bad with that service .....
*******************COMMENT AFTER CONTACTING SOCIAL MEDIA********* When they say to email that social media email, it just to show on here they care but they still don't do anything at all!!!!
Took delivery of a 2nd attempt delivery. Went out to meet the van, driver opened his door leaned out, put my parcel on the floor and shouted, "come and get it"! I wish I'd stayed indoors. Told him manners go along way and to get off my property. Had previous very frustrating experiences with Yodel. My heart sinks when companies use this courier.
